I am a subscriber of Tata Sky since few months. Most of the we are not at home and we hardly use for few hours and they do not carry forward the unused amount. Since they have a monitoring system why don't they make changes in the system that if a person is not used for at least 50% of total hours (24x30 /2 ) the balance of amount should be carried forward to next month. Especially like me aged persons, whose children are away and we are pre-occupied with many commitments it would be advisable that the balance of 50% be carried forward .

I had re-charged on 23 Dec 2016 at 9.15hrs and they deactivated today (21 Jan 2017) morning at (9.00 AM). Total days covered are 9 days in Dec and 20 Days in January and a total of 29 days. If the recharge is for one month how they deactivate the connection before time. This was happening regularly in every month and I complained to them few times and to feedback from them.
The package offered is for rs. 220/- south special package and today they asked me to re-charge for rs. 230/-. The reason is not known.
The channels offered as per their leaflet is not provided and most of the channels are locked.

Kindly advise what is to be done with this service provider.

I was book tata sky HD connections today through customer care at rourkela odisha but technician refused to install fresh wire so that i cancelled the order but i need this one please suggest how can i enjoy your services thank you
MULTI-TV recharge problem:

1st connection: SD set top box
2nd connection: HD set top box

I want to recharge for only SD set top box and want to pay only Rs. 240 for second connection. But i am getting charged for HD Access Fee. How can i remove HD Access Fee?? Please help.
I too had earlier shared my subscriber id in this complaint forum and Tata Sky's support team did get in touch with me. I am sure they will try getting in touch with you too. Alternatively, you can try writing to them at [protected]@tatasky.com or call their helpline number at [protected]. The best part is it is available 24X7. I am sure they will assist you in resolving your issue.

          Dear sir/madam,
          My name is SHARAD B BHATTE .
          TATA SKY SUbscriber id : [protected]
          I had changed a set top box twice in past 2 months. The set top box has again stopped working. When complaint, they informed that I have to change set top box again. When asked for the reason of failure no costumer support or any technician are ready to give any proper explanation.
          The customer support team have given me false reasons, that they will solve the issue and give me proper explanation for the failure of set top boxes. More than 15 days but still no response. The customer support team have closed my complaint request every time without resolving and without even consulting me.
          Now when i have complaint again, I have got response that the technician is not willing to visit for support, as i have complaint for the failure and want the cause of failure every time. Rather he started arguing that, I shouldn't have complaint for such reasons!!!
          I am using TATA SKY since more than 8 years now, and is this the way Tata Sky must respond to the customer??
          Is this the service provided to the customer after customer pays every time for the services they porvide.

          Dear Sir/Madam, As soon as I complained on this forum, Tata Sky representative Ms. Prabha contacted me and calmly listened to the entire situation of complaint. She assured that the issue will be resolved and the DTH box will be provided with free of cost replacement and also ensure a technician visit at my house. Next day technician visited at my place and replaced the set top box. The complaint which was not resolved from more than 15 days was resolved within 24 hours time. Thanks to consumer complaint forum and also thanks to Ms. Prabha ( phn no : +918067029190) for resolving the issue on priority basis.

          Representative of tata sky told me thst sctivation of aforesad channel is free but after activation an amount of that channel has been charged and informed me on my mobile through sms and cheated me. I request to the higher officer please conduct the enquiry and

          My box got issues 1st time from 05th January 2017 and I noticed no signal from south special + HD many channels till now and I am not able to view my subscribed many channels. So, I request you to rectify this problems as early as possible

            Recently i got an issue of audio output in old setup box. On raising complain to Tata sky, they tried to sell old repaired box to me and with one month warranty only. I didn't accept it and arranged set up box from my friend. Now, i am facing issue" This is the wrong card for this set up box." I contacted customer care many times but there is no response from them. Already i have lost 8 days of channel charge.

            It was shameful act by Tata sky. They straight forward said to replace the set up box and buy another repaired box from them. Tata sky even didnt try to give a look to set up and fix audio output issue. I was able to repair it on my own and now its functioning properly. Issue is resolved now.

                      I re-charged tata sky through SBI net banking-MVisa of amount INR 1305.00 on 4th Dec'16. On same day 4th Dec'16 I have re-charged again through central bank of India debit card for an amount of INR 1305.00. Both banks transactions are successful and amount was debited from my both accounts.
                      tata sky account (ID No.: [protected]) is showing only re-charge amount.
                      Please check the account and update my tata sky account.

                      1. Mvisa payment reference number for amount INR 1305 on 4th Dec'16 from state bank of india (SBI) net banking for tata sky re-charge is 633919A00006. The amount was withdrawn from my account and was updated with the amount on same day on 4th Dec'16.

                      2. On 5th Dec'16 I re-charged tata sky for the amount INR 1305 through central bank of india ATM card on-line (POS ATM). The amount was withdrawn from my account and was updated with the amount on same day on 5th Dec'16.

                      My tata sky account did not reflect 1st time re-charge that was done on 4th Dec'16 though SBI net banking. Bank (SBI) people saying that the amount was credited to the merchant account and transaction was settled.

                      pl resolve th issue.

                        I have TataSky connection (ID- [protected]) for over 1+ years with HD+. I have never had problem with the service however my box got issues 1st time on 22th Oct 2016 and got replaced after paying Rs 600 as this box was not covered under AMC.
                        On 15th JAN 2017 again i noticed no signal on my TV Screen and I logged the complain for this issue, As per customer care executive this can be resolved by technician only and i have to pay the visit charge because my box is not covered under AMC.

                        Technician visited and suggested to replace the BOX with same amount Rs 600.I said no need to replace the BOX i will discontinue the service because I will not pay the amount for same issue and poor quality / refurbished BOX again and again .

                        He visited again after few minutes and replaced the BOX with a commitment that this box is free of cost to retain our customers.

                        Now today I received the message that same amount is deducted with same amount and i have to recharge my amount.Again i call customer care but all in vain because every time I have to explain same matter to new executive and in result they provided a new SR number.

                        No one is able to resolve my issue and now they are saying to recharge the account to view the channels.
                        I want to know from Engg. that the boxes are all refurbished and they are repairing the same box and supplying back. why should i pay for the poor quality of the boxes ???

                        Why the BOX is replaced with out my permission and why the call is closed with out my approval.

                        Why there is no provision for AMC for the Tata sky boxes.

                          Since Past 2 weeks I can not able to view 2/3 channels, I made a complaint to Tata Sky toll free and I have explained the nature of complaint to call centre guy, he has also confirm the charges are applicable is there is an issue with Set top box, the service technician came & inspected & found there is an issue outside my house of loose wiring, he accepted his colleagues might have came & repaired the splitter box & in that process the wiring might has been disturb, this he has communicated from my cell to Tata Sky callcentre executive, after this confirmation also I have been debited Rs.200/- as visit charges, I have made a complaints to call centres but all executives are of adamant & very rough in there tone while talking to me, even Nodal officers are of very adamant & rough tone & they pressurise customer for these charges,
                          For no fault of mine I have been debited the charges & there is resolve of compaint from Service company till date, Its total pathatic services by TATASKY,

                          We have tried reaching you on your RMN but you were not reachable. Please share an alternate contact number with us to call you soon.
                          Since I was not able to view some of the channels selected as per my pack, I raised a complaint on the Tata Sky call center. An engineer/person on behalf of the Tatas Sky visited my place and found that the receiver part in the umbrella/disk on the rooftop was a little bit turned because of some word or air. Anyway, the problem was solved but to my surprise, I noticed a charge of Rs. 200/- was debited to my account stating, "visit charges". When I raised the quarry to the Tata Sky call center. They justified the charges and replied since the connection is now out of warranty, the charges are fair. But still, I believe that when a monthly capacity fee is being charged by Tata Sky then It becomes the responsibility of Tata Sky to provide constant, seamless, and satisfactory services. If any problems occur at the end of the reception of services, the company should solve them at their own cost. Denying services or charging extra payment for faults and repairs should be termed as “Deficiency in Services” as it is a paid service, not free. I feel this matter should also be taken with the consumer services desk of TRAI and should also be viewed as a case under the Consumer Protection Act. Asking for extra money to provide seamless services should not be taken as fair practice.

                            Hi,

                            I am not able to view my subscribed channel On Tatasky since many days and my payment due date is 29 Jan 2017. I tired to connect customer care many times but they put me on hold every time by saying your expected time is 10 mins. This is the second time when I am facing this issue. Last time I have asked for refund of my money for the time when i was not able to view the channel. But haven't received any refund amount yet.

                            This time again since i was not able to view channel since many days, i want my balance to be refunded for the days where I was not able to use Tatasky service.

                            Request you to take immediate action on this, .

                              I couldn't able to watch DD national channel during Ind vs Eng Match today I.e.15th Jan.. which was a free channel after the match finised I could able watch the Same channel... this type of business tactic made me to forcefully subscribe startsport which charged me Rs 60... please make not repeat such kind of cheap tricks...i want my money refund...

                              Today also Tata sky has revoked dd national because of cricket match.

                              There is some supreme court reason message is coming, but it seems like custom Tata sky message,

                              I want it to be working or else I am going to switch this ##### tata sky.

                                This is the second time we are experiencing poor service from Tata Sky. We had given request on 11th January 2017 for new installation of Karaoke music system.. when we did not received any reply after 2 days, we enquired on Toll free number, the executive said ur request can't be taken, sytem problem. Same day we called 3 times...next day again gave request and everytime we told them that we want kareoke system to install...yeaterday your executive sent request to respective dept. for kareoke system, still today ur Exexutive called me in evening 7 pm and said I am coming to install Wi-Fi Dongal... this is the height of pesions...When I said I have mentioned 100 times on phone to ur executive that we want to install Kareoke still how they can send request for Wi-Fi Dongal????? So ur Executive replied now I can't do anything..I have got order to install Wi-Fi Dongal...I will come tomorrow to install karaoke...I have lost my pesions and if tomorrow I didn't get karaoke installed, I will forward this same letter to Tata sky higher authorities which I have done earlier also...

                                  Unable to view services even after recharge. I recharged my account around an hour back. But unable to view services. It says you have not subscribed to the channel. However, on checking my account package details online, it says Supreme sports package is already subscribed. Why, then, am I unable to view services? Am on call on the Helpline number [protected] since 15 minutes; yet it says to wait and expected time to get connected with their executive is 10 minutes. Poor Service.

                                    I have TataSky connection (ID- [protected]) for over 11+ years and HD+ connection for over 6+ years. I have never had problem with the service however my box got issues 1st time on 12th Oct and got replaced. But since than the box is having issue every month and getting replaced. I get to know from Engg. that the boxes are all refurbished and they are repairing the same box and supplying back. In last 4 months, my box is replaced 4 times and TataSky is charging me 2-3 times for this repaired box.
                                    I checked the option for new box, but that too they have only one (1) option at 7890/- (under replacement).

                                    this looks like unethical practice of either keep charging subscribers for repaired / old boxes or compel them to go for new procurement at very high rates. Also they deduct the amount without your consent from advance payments done for annual package.
                                    Consumer Department / Govt. should take serious note of this issue of,
                                    1) First supplying refurbished boxes and leaving charges for fault repair every month / 2 months
                                    2) Not providing any options for service migration - but put up very high cost option to migrate (or live with problem)
                                    3) Charge amount against the annual package taken without consent.

                                    Hi Gaurav, we hear you! You will soon hear from us for further assistance.
                                    My connection has been shifted from one location to another. Tata Sky has charged Rs.1000.00 for location change. My one set up box is giving message of no signal since very day of shifting. I have sent several mail to the tata sky customer care but nothing has been done so far.
                                    Tata sky is not showing free to air channels like ABP news, Zee news etc. in its base pack like my 99 pack. When contacted, the customer care executives say the channels are not free and the customer has to pay for the same to view these in their basket.
                                    I think you should follow-up with Tata Sky customer support. You can write to them at [protected]@tatasky.com or call their helpline number at [protected].They are quite prompt in their reply and will help you out. It is more effective way of getting your work done. The best part is it is available 24X7.

                                      My number is [protected]. I have 3 connections of Tata sky. I had subscribed it from February 2016. From 22nd November 2016the connection is not working till date. They are not repairing it neither are they terminating it. They are in advantageous situations because they have WBMmdish installed i.e common dish for the building. The builder is not allowing for another company dish to be installed and they are not repairing it. They are saying the switches are being robbed so we will penalise for it. We said society is not formed so the builder still has the possession. The agreement is between builder and tatasky why will we pay for the robbed switches. He said then you have to stay without TV connection. I have given several complaint regarding the technician outsourced head Sagar and his assistant Santosh Waghmare ([protected]). No action has been taken. Neither are they terminating my Tata sky connection.

                                        On 26th dec.we recharge our dish no.[protected] by rs.1000/-but we fill wrong no.[protected] on that day as per telephonic talk co.promise to credit such Rs.1000/- credit to our account but till today we dont get any response from co.against this refund.so we need urgent reply from your end & also co.locate the customer whose dish wrongly charge by us.We want to clear that this amount directly debited from our account so as early as possible credit such amount in our account
