hi i have been using vodafone for 5yrs now. vodafone has been good in service but in the recent past, vodafone has started cheap tatics to make quick money.... vodafone 3g./grps has been activated without my knowledge and rental has been charged!!! well i have never used it... well when i reach out to customer care, mr masood claims that i have signed an agreement while taking connection that i am ok to pay rental for 3g /gprs ,even when i dont use it!!! also vodafone is unable to produce any documents which they claim that i have agreed to pay for additional services!! i have got it de-activated several times..... i reached to nodal officer , mr vishwanath ,at first he seemed to be very polite and acknowledging vodafone mistake...but again the rental was charged for this month,i reached out to him ..to my surprise he is a different person!!!his tone is very arrogant and when i asked y service was activated he says its a small mistake and asked me to pay the rental, when i further said i dont want to use the service, he says even if i use or not i need to pay else vodafone collection team (set of goons ) will take care of it!!!he threatened over the phone !!! i dont mind paying rental for service which i use and y should i pay rental for something which i dont need!!! even when i try to change the service provider ,vodafone doesnt allow that!!! vodafone has been a real pain in the past few months!!they dont charge rental every month because it will be evident..but they try to add to misc charges once in a while...i am sure i will not be the only person who would have faced this problem!!! vodafone needs to be taught a lesson so that they dont cheat ppl like this

hi my vodafone no is [protected]...
why there has been no response from VODAFONE ??? ARE U SLEEPING AND ONLY WAKE UP DURING COLLECTING BILLS AND HARASSING???
My vodafone no [protected]. I have been using this number from 2009. But Vodafone has been harassing me in one way or the other... Vodafone is activating unwanted 3G Data plans and charging rentals for the same. Vodafone is also selling customer numbers to tele-callers for money!!! When i raise a complaint against these tele-callers, vodafone has refused to raise a complaint!!! I have reached even to nodal officer but of little help!!!

I have received 20 calls and 28 messages in one week and Vodafone is not ready to register any complaint against these!!! Vodafone gives some stupid excuses that either data is incomplete or number doesn't match etc... Vodafone is a big fraud company which is selling customer data and privacy!!! How do telemarketers know exactly same data as with Vodafone???

I want to approach consumer court and seek justice and bring Vodafone to justice!!!

Vodafone has been sending exceptionally high amount bills on my post paid 2G internet connection and is not willing to reverse the wrong charges. In Feb 2013, I took a post paid USB stick internet plan for 299 + taxes = Rs. 320 per month from Vodafone. I explained to the store manager Ajay that I wanted a low payment internet connection only. In the first month my services were deactivated for a week without giving any reason. I called the customer support, they said they are updating their database and I will have to wait for 10 days before my case is solved. One customer support even said that my bill amount of 28,000/- is pending. In the first bill itself Vodafone made clear that they are not interested in meeting eye-to-eye with me. There was internet usage charge of Rs. 28,440.60 out of which I had to pay Rs.500 instead of Rs.320. I made my due payment of Rs. 300/- after speaking with store manager Ajay. He said that my data pack has not been activated and reassured that those EXTRA charges would be waived off. Rajeev the sales rep. removed the Vodafone software and created a separate dial-up connection on my laptop through which I could connect to the net at very low speeds. He blamed the low speed on traffic congestions and over the limit subscribers! Next month again I got a bill of Rs. 600 as my request for removal of incorrect charges was not processed . I sent email to Deepak Jain and he never replied back with any resolution. The store manager Ajay told me not to worry as he would take care of it personally and I should deposit Rs. 460/-. I did that and to my surprise my internet services were abruptly stopped without prior intimation within 4 days. I called up customer care and they said you have to pay 2000/- immediately to resume services. I called Rajeev from Vodafone store and he said he would look into the matter and call back but he deliberately kept silent and did not call back as promised. I could not follow my email correspondences and all the efforts to talk to customer care and restore connection went futile. After a month I received a false bill of Rs. 54,713 out of which the total due after discount was Rs. 2,953. At the time of taking the connection, I was given the understanding that it was a monthly internet plan of Rs.299 + taxes amounting to Rs. 320 only. No extra money was to be paid. But Vodafone was unwilling to implement my data plan as promised and kept sending incorrect bills for mobile broadband. I was shocked to see unimaginable charges again and again. It is a pre-meditated desperate act of Vodafone employees to cheat customers. How can anybody pay internet connection @10p/10kb rate on a dedicated 2g USB stick connection? This is totally unasked for! To add to the torment, I suffered loss of mental peace and humiliation from customer care. The recovery people have been harassing me on phone and knocking my door many times even though I have told them that their additional charges are irrational and unethical. Some days ago, I received a legal notice from some advocate (Sunil Sharma) threatening to file a legal case if I don’t pay within 7 days. I am not going to pay them even a rupee now. Let them do the case I am prepared to defend my case and provide all correspondence proofs. The number provided in the letter does not belong to this advocate. Ask Me services could not locate him in the mentioned address either. It is a shock to know that Vodafone is into money extortion and money laundering through unfair means and would go to any extent to harass its customers. I think it is high time that Vodafone mobile services are stopped in INDIA. They should follow fair business ethics and stop looting the public by raising hidden unfair charges. I want to warn other people that Vodafone is not the right company to think about when you want a mobile or internet connection.

I have requested my two number [protected] and [protected] to Port out from Vodafone to TataDocomo. The request were rejected on 26th Aug due to contractual obligations, but as per TRAI, vodafone is not suppose to do so. however I call customer care, they told me send a mail to corpcare.[protected]@vodafone, to terminate Contractual Obligation, and it will be terminated within 48 working hours. I did same and sent mail on 26th but till now no response from Vodafone. I have called customer care twice but no proper response. This is really pathetic. Already vodafone is troubling me from last 3-4 months, by deactivating GPRS service everyday, now this, I am really fed up with Vodafone. I really want my both numbers to be port out from Vodafone ASAP.

              Address: Pune, Maharashtra

Hi, I was using vodafone corporate connection (Tech Mahindra) with number [protected]. Vodafone has charged me with wrong bill of around 6000 which I refused to pay. After that they kept me calling on my other contact numbers and kept threatening me with 'Legal Action'. After that, to my surprise and shock, they called at my home number and told my parents that vodafone is going to issue 'arrest warrent' against my family in order to pay the bill. So I myself called vodafone (Vaishali Deshmukh - crmt.[protected]@vodafone.com) and expeessed will to settle the account, she asked me to pay Rs.2000 to settle this so although I have had the usage of Rs. 1200, i've paid Rs.2000 to vodafone on Oriental Bank Account Pune. After that she confirmed on phone that account has been setteled and will not get any calls from vodafone. Then suddenly after 6 months, today I've received call from vodafone that the account is still open and you have to pay remaining amount. I've made every attempt to tell them that I've already setteled with them but they kept me abusing on phone. I'm really surprised and shocked about malpractices on vodafone who gave me confirmation 6 months ago about settlement. then waited for 6 months and then again suddenly calling me again for paying remaining bills. This seems to be Modus Operandi of vodafone who waited for 6 months, have made no contact and then suddenly after 6 months started calling me again. I see this company nothing more that a robber who just waits to corner you down and then attacks on you. I'm looking forward to resolution of this issue

Hi, This is with reference to charges levied in my mobile bill # [protected] for Itemized bill service. I never requested for this service to my services provider (Vodafone- Delhi). When I approached them at customer care, they are not even reading my email and respond to me that this service is active and charges are valid. I am re-iterating the fact that I never requested for this service, however, they are just repeating the same line and service is active and charges are valid. When I asked them for the escalation matrix, they simply refused this. Please forward my complaint to the appropriate authority of Vodafone. Thanks! Thanks Hemant

Few days back on July 12 i had reuested to active 3G service in one of my mobile (+[protected]. The service was activated but i couldn't see any 3G there. The speed and performance was very poor and even it was taking too much time to open a page. I had contacted customer care to improve the performance but all the effort put in by them didn't help me. So finally i decided to stop the service and in fact i raised a reuest on 20th August to deactivate the service. Since the service was so bad and it didn't help me anyway and it couldn't improve even after giving you 1 months time. The speed was not even like a normal internet speed. In short don't go for Vodafone 3G.

                    Hello Akshay,

Please be informed that there is no 3G service/3G data pack active on the given number. Kindly let us know if the concern persists once any 3G pack is activated. Alternately, write to us at corpcare.[protected]@vodafone.com for further assistance.

                    Regards,
                    Vodafone Customer Care.
AS mentioned above i had raised reuest to deactivate it. So the service is no more on the given no.

It was activated in the above no(+[protected] in the said period, i.e. from 14th July to 20th August.

Charging 100% amount for poor service is very disappointing. You guys have charged for 3G in my last bill for the above no.

You can reach me on the contact no in below.

                    +91 [protected]

                    Thank you.

Dear Sir/Ma'am I recharged my internet card on 21st August 2013 of Rs. 97 on which i got data of 600 MB for 21 days (2G). But i was automatically unsubscribed from the internet service on 23rd August 2013 and a new internet service of 100 MB of 3G srvice was provided to me which i did not demanded. And it was also deactivated on 24th August 2013. And i was having a balance of almost 585 MB remaining on my internet card remaining as on 23rd August. And then i called customer care no. twice ( 1st on 23 and 2nd on 24th ) and they said that they will transfer the complaint to there seniors and i will receive their call within 24 hours. But i have not received a single call from 2 days from the vodafone company. So, its my request that a strict action should be taken against this case. And i want my internet to be reactivated as soon as possible. Yours faithfully Jitin Rawat Phone no. - [protected]

I had reported a stolen sim card report from Spain Barcelona where I was on vacation on July 13, 2013. The verbal notification was followed by a written email, post which my Sim was temporarily cancelled. The complaint was made on the same day, within three hours of the theft, not days later. I returned to Mumbai on July 27 and activated my phone once again. I have recently received a bill of INR 35,000, which includes 29,000 in roaming outgoing charges made on July 13, the day of the theft. Summary of my Day to Day Interaction with Vodafone: July 30th, 2013: I first spoke to your customer care representative on July 30th, 2013 but he was no help. His argument was that between the time of the complaint and the last call made, there was a lapse of three hours, hence the charges are justified. I followed this call with a written complaint to both Vodofone Care and the Nodal Officer. August 1st, 2013: I received a follow up call from Vodfone on August 1, the conversation was along the same lines: pay the bill, the calls were made before the complaint was filed. Post this conversation, I requested an itemized bill to analyse the charges on August 1st. I spoke to a customer representative within an hour. Followed it up with an email to the nodal officer, summary of the same as follows: All the calls are made between 16: 47 and 17:33, in less than one hour duration. The calls were all mostly made to this particular number: [protected] (no clue what country this number belongs to!). I have studied the call log and there are glaring errors in the same. Some Examples as follows: Call Time Following Call Time Actual Duration of Call (mins: secs) Duration Recorded by Vodafone (mins: secs) Vodfone Charges INR Actual Charges 16:47:08 16: 47:18 0:10 14:50 2100 140 16: 47:18 16:49:44 2:26 17:52 2520 420 It is logical to assume that for the bill to record these various call times separately, the call had to be cut and made again, otherwise how can it register the calls as separate?! If the first call was for a duration of 14: 50 as the bill suggest, the next call would theoretically have to be made at 17:01:58 not16: 47:18 as the bill suggests (after the passing of the duration of 14 mins: 50 secs) Similarly, if the following call was of the duration of 17 mins and 52 seconds, the third subsequent call would have to be made at 17:05:10 and not at 16:49:44 as the bill suggests. I am just giving two examples, the bill is full of these, there is obviously some glaring error in this. I stated these concerns to the nodal officer in an email written, August 1st, 2013. I have not received any satisfactory answers to my questions posted. August 2, 2013: August 2, I received another call from your customer care. I am giving you the summary of our conversation below: Claim one made by your executive: The charges are correct, because the person making the call may have taken other numbers on the call repeatedly. My Response: This is an unlikely possibility. Even if I buy this argument, the bill does not provide any information or numbers on the calls added. Please give me proof that is was a conference call. Numbers and logs proving this claim. Your customer care cannot provide the same. Claim 2: The person may have called the number given below, put themselves on hold and repeatedly added the same number again and again, on a conference?! My Response: I would like to point out the high improbability of this situation, bordering on absurd, again there is no proof to support this. Your call log clearly states the start time of each call, stating separate times of the start of each call. The standard procedure to register the call as separate, would be for one to cut the call and add another. Additional information, which I had requested from Vodafone, which your team has unable to provide is as follows: -The number appears incomplete, there is no country code before the number, Vodafone has changed this an international call, but they cannot inform me what country is this call made to, I would like this information. Finally my most compelling argument: Disputed calls were made between the following hours: 15:46:15-17:33:39 This is less than two hours (approximately) 107 minutes. How can I make calls of a duration of 193 mins and 40 seconds, if the available minutes in the time frame is only 107 minutes?! I have been charged double and triple, Vodafone has no numbers or logs to substantiate these charges. Other than the claim that this must be a conference, with no backing, no proof. This can essentially drag on forever, and I can take Vodafone to consumer court, and we all both be inconvenienced by this. I am willing to settle this at a reasonable rate (maximum I will pay for this is between INR 4,000-5000 in roaming charges), the itemized bill is in my favor as of this moment Vodfone cannot provide additional information. If they are not willing, I will have no option by to go to consumer court for this. Vodfone offered me a three thousand rupee discount, which is completely out of the question. I will not pay INR 27,000 in roaming charges. I have been continuously following up with the appellate authority with regards to my disputed Vodafone bill. My initial complaint was filed with your department on August 2nd, 2013, as I did not receive any closure from the regular customer care channel. On August 8th, I received an email from Mr. Amit Pal from the Mumbai appellate authority stating that my concern will be addressed in 20 working days. While the billing issue is being addressed by their department, I have been continuously getting calls from Vodafone customer care, from August 3rd to August 23rd , every day, sometimes twice a day, informing me that my payment is overdue. I have repeatedly told them each time, that my case is currently in the appealates charge, and to update this information in their system and cross check the same internally, each time I have been assured that this will be done; however no one has bothered to update the system, the persistent calls have continued, much to my great anguish and agony. Frustrated with the continuous badgering from your end, I send a second follow up email on August 14th, requesting you to please expedite this matter. I have not received any response to this. August 23 It’s been 11 working days since I have received a response from your office that my case will be adhered to. Vodafone still has 9 working days to get back to me, which I respect, however I expect a similar treatment from their end, where they internally uphold timelines. My outgoing service was stopped. Not only is this of a great inconvenience, but is also both demeaning as well as gravely insulting. August 24 Today a collections officer paid a visit to my home, this is both shocking and unacceptable that your organization would resort to such means in spite of me continuously writing to you as well as faithfully answering calls from your customer care letting them periodically know that I am engaged with you. The only definition for this is harassment and absolutely nothing else. It is both degrading and humiliating that in spite of my efforts to have a civil interaction with you, I am being periodically troubled by your organization, the latest addition to your many atrocities includes a visit to my home. I am left with little choice but to now get legal help in order to protect my interests.

I have spoken to your customer care over 50 times by now, unless I get to speak to someone senior who can take a decision, I am not wasting my breath speaking to your staff who have no power to make a decision, I want to speak to someone in your appellate.

Hi, I have been using a Vodafone Prepaid SIM since dec 2009.The number for the vodafone SIM is [protected].I went to vodafone store for getting a microSIM and they asked for my name. With utter surprise it was found my number is mapped against someone's else name. I told them I am using the number since 2009 and wanted to provide documents to update with correct information against this number. They are simply refusing it.The data which is there against my number has one email address as [protected]@yyy.com.How they hell they could verify this!!! After that the guy told me to switch to post paid connection then they can update the data.If the same data can be updated for post paid then why not pre paid? All these happened at Infosys, bangalore vodafone store.I need proper information to be updated against my number otherwise I shall take this to consumer court for manipulating my information. At present I am using another number [protected].Call me for further details.

They took 13 days to activate the sim though usually its get activated in 7 days. saying that i did'nt submit the documents Then they activated the sim after 13 days after my continuous complaining and calling the customer care. Now I am trying to recharge the sim , I am unable to do so. They are saying my first and second recharge is not done . But i have taken the sim paying all the amount and the first and second's recharge amount .

                                        Hi,
My Number is [protected] and its post paid. I purchased galaxy grand on 13th may and got Vodafone bundle offer for 2 months.. the offer end date was 13th july and I called customer care on 10th..again on 12th and 13th July as well .. every time it was clearly told to me that the 3g services will be automatically deactivated and I will never be charged for it.I hardly used it and never crossed the limit of 2 Gb as well. I confirmed it 4 times by calling customer care. Couple of days back again I called and spoke to senior officer to avoid any confusions and this time again I was told clearly that I will nt be charged for any internet usage as I do not have any 3G plans active on my mobile. This was a clear sentence from the senior officer .. and he also confirmed that I will be charged for my std and local calls only.. and normally bill comes around 550 but it came around 1900 for July month Inclusive 900 3G charged.

Now the First Question is, If I do not have any 3G services Active for my Number, How can I get charged for that. I never wanted any 3G services, and I explained it many times to Customer Care Executive and It was told to me that Once the Free Validity gets over, 3G will be deactivated automatically . Check Recordings. I have it with me as well.

Second, I have sent mail twice to Corporate.Meh*** as suggested by Customer care Executive and Never Got the response in 48 hours as Vodafone claims through Auto mailer. I am still awaiting for last mail that I sent couple of days before.

I have been using Vodafone for almost 5 years now and never had any issues. But this is a clear case of cheating your customers by giving wrong information.
It will be highly appreciated if some quick action is taken on this.
FYI, 3G is still active on my mobile. Seems some technical issue at your end. Check that as well.
                                        Thanks

                                        Regards,
                                        Abhishek
