Dear Sir/Ma'am I recharged my internet card on 21st August 2013 of Rs. 97 on which i got data of 600 MB for 21 days (2G). But i was automatically unsubscribed from the internet service on 23rd August 2013 and a new internet service of 100 MB of 3G srvice was provided to me which i did not demanded. And it was also deactivated on 24th August 2013. And i was having a balance of almost 585 MB remaining on my internet card remaining as on 23rd August. And then i called customer care no. twice ( 1st on 23 and 2nd on 24th ) and they said that they will transfer the complaint to there seniors and i will receive their call within 24 hours. But i have not received a single call from 2 days from the vodafone company. So, its my request that a strict action should be taken against this case. And i want my internet to be reactivated as soon as possible. Yours faithfully Jitin Rawat Phone no. - [protected]

Find someone who knows how to use computers. Stop complaining on this website. You will never get help here. If you are frustated with the vodafone services i would recommend you to stop using it and instead go to BSNL or MTNL

          Address: Mumbai City, Maharashtra

I had reported a stolen sim card report from Spain Barcelona where I was on vacation on July 13, 2013. The verbal notification was followed by a written email, post which my Sim was temporarily cancelled. The complaint was made on the same day, within three hours of the theft, not days later. I returned to Mumbai on July 27 and activated my phone once again. I have recently received a bill of INR 35,000, which includes 29,000 in roaming outgoing charges made on July 13, the day of the theft. Summary of my Day to Day Interaction with Vodafone: July 30th, 2013: I first spoke to your customer care representative on July 30th, 2013 but he was no help. His argument was that between the time of the complaint and the last call made, there was a lapse of three hours, hence the charges are justified. I followed this call with a written complaint to both Vodofone Care and the Nodal Officer. August 1st, 2013: I received a follow up call from Vodfone on August 1, the conversation was along the same lines: pay the bill, the calls were made before the complaint was filed. Post this conversation, I requested an itemized bill to analyse the charges on August 1st. I spoke to a customer representative within an hour. Followed it up with an email to the nodal officer, summary of the same as follows: All the calls are made between 16: 47 and 17:33, in less than one hour duration. The calls were all mostly made to this particular number: [protected] (no clue what country this number belongs to!). I have studied the call log and there are glaring errors in the same. Some Examples as follows: Call Time Following Call Time Actual Duration of Call (mins: secs) Duration Recorded by Vodafone (mins: secs) Vodfone Charges INR Actual Charges 16:47:08 16: 47:18 0:10 14:50 2100 140 16: 47:18 16:49:44 2:26 17:52 2520 420 It is logical to assume that for the bill to record these various call times separately, the call had to be cut and made again, otherwise how can it register the calls as separate?! If the first call was for a duration of 14: 50 as the bill suggest, the next call would theoretically have to be made at 17:01:58 not16: 47:18 as the bill suggests (after the passing of the duration of 14 mins: 50 secs) Similarly, if the following call was of the duration of 17 mins and 52 seconds, the third subsequent call would have to be made at 17:05:10 and not at 16:49:44 as the bill suggests. I am just giving two examples, the bill is full of these, there is obviously some glaring error in this. I stated these concerns to the nodal officer in an email written, August 1st, 2013. I have not received any satisfactory answers to my questions posted. August 2, 2013: August 2, I received another call from your customer care. I am giving you the summary of our conversation below: Claim one made by your executive: The charges are correct, because the person making the call may have taken other numbers on the call repeatedly. My Response: This is an unlikely possibility. Even if I buy this argument, the bill does not provide any information or numbers on the calls added. Please give me proof that is was a conference call. Numbers and logs proving this claim. Your customer care cannot provide the same. Claim 2: The person may have called the number given below, put themselves on hold and repeatedly added the same number again and again, on a conference?! My Response: I would like to point out the high improbability of this situation, bordering on absurd, again there is no proof to support this. Your call log clearly states the start time of each call, stating separate times of the start of each call. The standard procedure to register the call as separate, would be for one to cut the call and add another. Additional information, which I had requested from Vodafone, which your team has unable to provide is as follows: -The number appears incomplete, there is no country code before the number, Vodafone has changed this an international call, but they cannot inform me what country is this call made to, I would like this information. Finally my most compelling argument: Disputed calls were made between the following hours: 15:46:15-17:33:39 This is less than two hours (approximately) 107 minutes. How can I make calls of a duration of 193 mins and 40 seconds, if the available minutes in the time frame is only 107 minutes?! I have been charged double and triple, Vodafone has no numbers or logs to substantiate these charges. Other than the claim that this must be a conference, with no backing, no proof. This can essentially drag on forever, and I can take Vodafone to consumer court, and we all both be inconvenienced by this. I am willing to settle this at a reasonable rate (maximum I will pay for this is between INR 4,000-5000 in roaming charges), the itemized bill is in my favor as of this moment Vodfone cannot provide additional information. If they are not willing, I will have no option by to go to consumer court for this. Vodfone offered me a three thousand rupee discount, which is completely out of the question. I will not pay INR 27,000 in roaming charges. I have been continuously following up with the appellate authority with regards to my disputed Vodafone bill. My initial complaint was filed with your department on August 2nd, 2013, as I did not receive any closure from the regular customer care channel. On August 8th, I received an email from Mr. Amit Pal from the Mumbai appellate authority stating that my concern will be addressed in 20 working days. While the billing issue is being addressed by their department, I have been continuously getting calls from Vodafone customer care, from August 3rd to August 23rd , every day, sometimes twice a day, informing me that my payment is overdue. I have repeatedly told them each time, that my case is currently in the appealates charge, and to update this information in their system and cross check the same internally, each time I have been assured that this will be done; however no one has bothered to update the system, the persistent calls have continued, much to my great anguish and agony. Frustrated with the continuous badgering from your end, I send a second follow up email on August 14th, requesting you to please expedite this matter. I have not received any response to this. August 23 It’s been 11 working days since I have received a response from your office that my case will be adhered to. Vodafone still has 9 working days to get back to me, which I respect, however I expect a similar treatment from their end, where they internally uphold timelines. My outgoing service was stopped. Not only is this of a great inconvenience, but is also both demeaning as well as gravely insulting. August 24 Today a collections officer paid a visit to my home, this is both shocking and unacceptable that your organization would resort to such means in spite of me continuously writing to you as well as faithfully answering calls from your customer care letting them periodically know that I am engaged with you. The only definition for this is harassment and absolutely nothing else. It is both degrading and humiliating that in spite of my efforts to have a civil interaction with you, I am being periodically troubled by your organization, the latest addition to your many atrocities includes a visit to my home. I am left with little choice but to now get legal help in order to protect my interests.

Hi, I have been using a Vodafone Prepaid SIM since dec 2009.The number for the vodafone SIM is [protected].I went to vodafone store for getting a microSIM and they asked for my name. With utter surprise it was found my number is mapped against someone's else name. I told them I am using the number since 2009 and wanted to provide documents to update with correct information against this number. They are simply refusing it.The data which is there against my number has one email address as [protected]@yyy.com.How they hell they could verify this!!! After that the guy told me to switch to post paid connection then they can update the data.If the same data can be updated for post paid then why not pre paid? All these happened at Infosys, bangalore vodafone store.I need proper information to be updated against my number otherwise I shall take this to consumer court for manipulating my information. At present I am using another number [protected].Call me for further details.

                    Hi,
My Number is [protected] and its post paid. I purchased galaxy grand on 13th may and got Vodafone bundle offer for 2 months.. the offer end date was 13th july and I called customer care on 10th..again on 12th and 13th July as well .. every time it was clearly told to me that the 3g services will be automatically deactivated and I will never be charged for it.I hardly used it and never crossed the limit of 2 Gb as well. I confirmed it 4 times by calling customer care. Couple of days back again I called and spoke to senior officer to avoid any confusions and this time again I was told clearly that I will nt be charged for any internet usage as I do not have any 3G plans active on my mobile. This was a clear sentence from the senior officer .. and he also confirmed that I will be charged for my std and local calls only.. and normally bill comes around 550 but it came around 1900 for July month Inclusive 900 3G charged.

Now the First Question is, If I do not have any 3G services Active for my Number, How can I get charged for that. I never wanted any 3G services, and I explained it many times to Customer Care Executive and It was told to me that Once the Free Validity gets over, 3G will be deactivated automatically . Check Recordings. I have it with me as well.

Second, I have sent mail twice to Corporate.Meh*** as suggested by Customer care Executive and Never Got the response in 48 hours as Vodafone claims through Auto mailer. I am still awaiting for last mail that I sent couple of days before.

I have been using Vodafone for almost 5 years now and never had any issues. But this is a clear case of cheating your customers by giving wrong information.
It will be highly appreciated if some quick action is taken on this.
FYI, 3G is still active on my mobile. Seems some technical issue at your end. Check that as well.
                    Thanks

                    Regards,
                    Abhishek

                        Hello,
I am Chirag Fanse, Vodaphone customer, for more than 1 and half year. I am using Vodaphone internet using Vodaphone dongle(K3-770Z) and my Vodaphone number is [protected].I have problems in your service. Many times my internet connection gets disconnected or many times it gets connected but web pages are not loaded. I can not upload any files in mail just because of slow service and I have to go to cyber even though I am paying for internet. I have already raised multiple complains(More than 10) but nothing is proving worthy. Your executives just keep giving me false promises every time. Vodaphone technical engineer(After series of complains) also visited in last week but he was not giving any clear statement. When ever I open mail in gmail, it shows slow internet connection error. The same error also faced your technical engineer. I have also spoke with nodal officer many times but still no result. I asked nodal officer(both in written by mail and verbally) to provide me all the details of my complains like complain number, complain date and the resolution status SO THAT I CAN RAISE MY CASE IN CONSUMER COURT AGAINST VODAPHONE but your nodal officers are not providing those details too. Every time I asked for resolutions and your executive said my phone was not reachable so they could not solve my complain. I have already told with each complain that I am using Vodaphone sim card for internet purpose only and gave them alternate number.
My last complain was supposed to be get resolved before 12th Aug-2013 as said by your executive but today its 23rd Aug-2013 and still the problem is same. I have lost so much money either in calling Vodaphone(I have to call from alternate number) or in Vodaphone 2G recharge.
I want reason why my complains are not getting solved and all my previous complain details like complain number, complain date, resolution status.

My alternate contact number is [protected] and my mail ID is [protected]@gmail.com

In my vodafone SIM I found detection in my balance of 50/-.
Because I wasn't using my SIM I ain't got to know the detection in balance.
I called at the customer care center to know about it as I got to know on 21 August.
They told me that balance is being detect for downloading any game cost 30/-.
But still 20/- is lost any how.
As I haven't downloaded or requested any game download.
                            I want a refund of 50/- . Thats all.

Dear Sir I ported from Airtel to Vodafone Mumbai circle on 17th. Aug 2013 . Two features which were promised to me before porting namely roam like home and 50ps std have not yet been activated. I called the customer care 4 to 5 times but they are not happy to help. I expect a better welcome to vodafone rather than having to keep calling and requesting to activate the features which were promised to me. I tried to contact the agency which had arranged for porting namely Systematic Knowledge Services Pvt. Ltd. Andheri East but to no avail. Request to kindly resolve this issue at earliest. Awaiting your positive reply. Regards Sanjeev Ghotgalkar [protected]

Hi, I am writing with respect to excess gprs charges applied for my vodafone no. [protected]. The services request no. is [protected] . This is getting ridiculous every single time. I have written two mails to corporate.[protected]@vodafone.com regarding the matter as they have confirmed to me that they have not recieved the first mail i sent on 14 aug 2013. I was in chattisgarh and was using vodafone gprs on home network (ie vodafone) by manually selecting vodafone on my handset. I have been to this state before also and have used vodafone gprs and that time i was not charged excess. I selected the network by manually to avoid getting latched to any other network (in my case IDEA). I have to know how can my service start on vodafone and end on idea. Also how can the network override my manual setting. I have written mails and requested for call backs. But they never happened. I have attached the web chat with vodafone also. Request you to look into this matter and grant the reversal for extra gprs charges applied. Regards, Ramya Krishnan

Vodafone — charged for GPRS service not used

                                  Hi,
I have been charged iPhone GPRS usage for the past 4 months regularly when no one at my place uses a iPhone. I have placed a complaint every month with the vodafone customer care and there has been no response received so far. They keep on transferring the calls to some other representative to no avail.
I have been charged more than 100 Rs in the past 4 months. Can you please check my past bills and reverse the charges?

Its been almost a week since your last reply. This is not the first time that vodafone has charged me for excess gprs. Its not even been 3 months since the last incident with the gprs. This complete harassment.

Please provide me with a solution on this matter.

Request you to treat this as urgent and important.

Even after repeated complaints against Vodafone services, they are charging me unnecessarily even fir services which I'm not using totally pathetic service n month after month I'm facing same problem, I hv 3g plan active for 1gb default monthly, n before completing 1gb data I have activated booster plan which is again 1gb for 250 rs additionally. Which means in my bill I should be charging Rs.500/- for 2gb, beyond 2gb usage I shd be charged accordingly. Here interesting fact is I have used 1.89 gb n for same I hv been charged Rs.4500. This case is repeating to me since last 3 months again n gain I request as I m charging more, in vain nothing had been happening. Even I hv requested for porting out bcz of bad service but present service provider had not allowed me to go out as thy hv rejected request. Please suggest what to do. Regards Shrikanth [protected]

                                    Dear Madam/Sir

6months back i took a prepaid mobile connection from vodafone.
while taking the connection ( [protected]) i was told that its prepaid 3g connection which i can use for my USB to connect internet.
and agreeing to same i have made the payment of Rs1600 for the month of June and July.
afterwards i have not used the connection.
but now i am getting calls from vodafone asking that i have Rs1600 pending in my vodafone postpaid connection.

Now this is a surprise, as i was not aware if its a prepaid connection.
when informed the same to the provider, they don't agree to listen to it.
and i have been asked to make the payment.and on top of that i am receiving threatening calls.

If i have had used the connection then certainly i would have made the payment.

Request you to kindly have a look .
                                    Thanks & Regards

Hello, (To whom, may it concern)

I was using vodafone service postpaid connection since july 2011. Now I've taken portability in another service. while I've paid last bill. and the from generating new bill of this month till mobile portability I've used 10 days service. before porting I had checked my current bill that was something around 300. but they have send me the bill of 550/- Rs. while I was using 199/- rental plan where they committed to provide 12000 sec.

So I want to confirm, why they are sending me this. Are they people crazy. I'm thinking about reporting in vodafone but due to this activity of them I'm very angry.

                                    Regards

You crap service provider. You changed my plan from day to day to Data Plan without letting me know from your end on Monday(12/06/12) and when I was neither able to receive nor able to make a phone call I spoke to your customer care executives and that fellow suggested me to visit Vodafone Store, I did this on Monday itself and another executive of yours sitting at vodafone store made another fake promise me saying my plan will be changed in next 48 hours and I will be able to make and receive calls on after Wednesday (13/06/12) at 3:00 pm but till now my services has not been activated and just a while ago I had a word with your customer care executive and he was saying you need another 24 hour. Are you guys playing with me. You crap people do the needful and activate my services as early as possible and also i want compensation for these 3 days suffering. Else there are so many doors to knock to get the justice.

This is to bring to your notice that I had made 4 port out requests from Vodafone to Reliance vide the following details for my Vodafone No -[protected]: Date of Porting request - 09/07/2013 * Porting code (UPC) Code Number -VD136717 * Date of Porting request - 30/07/2013 * Porting code (UPC) Code Number -VD231376 * Date of Porting request - 02/08/2013 * Porting code (UPC) Code Number -VD322934 * Date of Porting request - 14/08/2013 * Porting code (UPC) Code Number -VD322934 Vodafone has declined all my requests for frivolous reasons everytime citing that the porting code does not match the doner allocated porting code for this number. Whereas in all their SMS to my number they have mentioned the Correct Porting No. everytime which they have received from my side. I'm really fed up with Vodafone and dont want to continue any further. I request your intervention so that my number can be ported out easily & save me from harassment. Its already more than 1 month since i have been trying and unnecessarily i have wasted lot of time because of the hesistant nature of Vodafone and unnecessarily getting harassed by them. Thanks, Ashwani

                                      Vodafone — Repeated harrassment.

                                      Dear Sir/Madam,
It is more than a month (Sept' 2009) that I have submitted the letter of disconnection with all payments made for post paid connection no.[protected] also my I/D copy been given to them as per their forced requirement to prove that I am disconnecting this no. I am still getting calls from them on my other vodafone no. asking me to reconnect the connection with minimum billing. Several times I visited their office with some or the other problems. To be to the point we had another pre-paid connection, we had once accidently upgraded the 'GPRS' service, every month Rs.50/- was being deducted, to this I telephonically lodged a complaint, then again visited every month to the vashi station gallery, personally asking to discontinue the 'GPRS' service and refund me the amount; they cheked their system & said yes it is disconnected but, in vain nothing gained to our part. Still every alternate month Rs.50/- was deducted. We then stopped refilling the card. The third postpaid no.[protected] that I hold is billed to incorrect person name, I have several times requested them to correct, but they are blaming me to have filled incorrect name.I have given them relevant documents as proof. When asked to show the forms that were filled, they kept giving false promises saying it will be corrected within 48 hours, which is yet to come past 03 months. They have entered my name incorrectly as 'Mr. M Roy Choudhury'. There is lack of seriousness at their end and they seem to have no respect or regard for their esteemed clients. They are just greedy for money as in the blood of their owner of the company. We had high usage & never cross checked the bills sent, always paid the bill on time. Worst to that for the current month they have again sent a bill with some fictitous amount.
I am shocked by these kind of behaviour and cheap attitude of this company. This is too much, such harrasment cannot be pardoned. This is the service we receive by being loyal to them. I expect proper compensation and strict action.
I hope this will be dealt seriously.Would you be the client in our place what would be your reaction?

                                      Thanking you,

VODAFONE DELHI — online recharge not received

I have recharged my mobile [protected] on 06/03/2010 online for Rs. 410. But I have not received same recharge. payment was deducted from my credit card. I wrote around 20 mail & talked more than 10 time on call centre. Finally I got the reply that they refunded my amount to my credit card & my query is closed. & finally I have not got any refund or recharge & I am left only with frustration.

So there is "no Happy to help" on vodafone

Vodafone - Delhi — Online Recharge

I have recharged my phone using online recharge facility on vodafone website vodafone.in. The transaction was successful. But, the amount was not credited though it was debited from y bank account. Now after almost 20 hours, when I talked to their CCE, he says that it takes almost 48 hours to reflect the amount. My question is if it really takes 48 hours then why it is not mentioned there on the website? And, why the money debit is so quick and updation takes 48 hours?

                                      Vodafone — Not allowing porting

I have been the regular costomer of Vodophone post paid mobile service for more than three years. few days back I have realized that other compnies has more compitent plans to offer, so I tried to change the service provider. When I asked about the porting servise I was told that porting is possible on prepaid service only. It can.t be done on post paid connection.

i have requested Vodaphone to change my category into prepaid, the company has transferred my connection into prepaid category. After changing my category into prepaid I have applied for portining. The company has messaged me that your porting has been rejected due to the number or range have been connected for less than 90 days.

                                      Porting code VR354897

Vodafone — Vodafone not allowing to port out

I am trying so hard to port out from past 2 month. but your company is not allowing me to port out I paid all dues, and deactivated contractual agriment by going to Vodafone shop at Hyper city mall. But stll i am facing the problem to port out. Please take the necessory action against who are ruining the vodafone company goodwill by showing the unprofessional approch. I sent the mail to the vodafone nodel as suggested by you.I already sent the email to the TRAI. but all are loosers. No reply reply from those. TRAI is also not taking these complains seriously. Vodafone itself is ruining its market value by not supporting their costomers. Vodafone is the worst service provider i have ever found till now date. Beleave me friends. Never go for the vodafone servives.

Vodafone — Repeated harassment for over a month on porting out

I am reaching out to bring to your attention the harassment I have been facing from Vodafone Mumbai since 25th April in my repeated attempts to port out my post paid number +91 [protected]

Here’s a summary of efforts I have made between 25th April to 27th May:
                                      1. Generated two UPC codes: 25th April: VM 272416 ; 13th May: VM289616

                                      2. Registered three complaints: 17 May[protected], 21 May -[protected], 27 May[protected]. Prior to 17th May, I was not allowed to even register a complaint.

                                      3. Written to Nodal officer Zillah V on 18th May – No response received till date except for automated response. Promised turn around time of 48 hours.

                                      4. Spoken to over 15 junior customer care executives at Vodafone (Karan, Shoaib, Keyur, Zahid etc.) and 2 supervisors (Farooq, Prasanna) – Each one has assured that there is no problem and I should get my service provider to resubmit the request. Each time request has been rejected.

                                      5. Requested my new service provider, Tata Docomo, to submit requests 10 times – Each time the request has been rejected despite the assurance from Vodafone helpline stating “this time the request will certainly be approved”

Here are some of the common excuses I have received from my interactions with the helpline:

                                      1. Billed outstanding not cleared – Has been cleared as of 06th May 2011

                                      2. Value added services not deactivated – Have been deactivated as of 06th May

                                      3. Due to system/technical problem, you don’t seem to have received a call from our customer retention department. Till you get such a call, request cant move forward as it needs to be closed from the retention department – I have received only two calls from this dept., one on 25th April and the other on 26th May. On both occassions, the representatives have confirmed that request is now closed from their side and that port out request will be processed. Vodafone has rejected my request 10 times now, including 2 times after such calls.

                                      4. Please visit Vodafone Store for further assistance – For what ???

                                      5. “Contractual Agreement” needs to be “deactivated” – No information provided on how this contract can be deactivated

                                      6. All outstandings are cleared on your account. Please request your service provider to re-submit the request and THIS time it’ll be done. Tata Docomo has resubmitted 9 times after such reassurances only to be rejected each time.

                                      7. Insufficient balance in your account to cover unbilled outstanding – Despite my repeated queries to the helpline executives as well as seniors, I was never once informed that my unbilled outstanding also needs to be cleared in order for approval to be processed. Of my own initiative, I have transferred credits of Rs. 470, Rs. 1200 and Rs. 500 during this period to cover my unbilled amount. However, each time Vodafone finds new excuses for rejection as a result of which my unbilled amount keeps rising and exceeds the credit I have deposited in my account.

The latest request was submitted by Tata Docomo on 23rd May evening after receiving multiple confirmations from supervisor Prasanna on 21st (complaint reference: [protected]) and another executive on 23rd that my request is completely ready to port out. It has again been rejected. After a hold time of over 20 minutes, the reason provided by the same supervisor Prasanna for this rejection is “Rs. 200 insufficient balance in account to cover unbilled outstanding”. He also admitted his mistake in not informing me about this condition when we spoke on 21st May.

I have now transferred additional funds to cover my unbilled outstanding. As of now, my unbilled outstanding is Rs. 1868.72 and credit in account is Rs. 2173.15/-. Subsequently, Tata Docomo has logged in a request for the 11th time into the sysrem for porting out my number.
I now await Vodafone to either process this request or reject it once again with another creative excuse. I would be surprised if it’s the former.

Having been a loyal and high value Hutch/Vodafone customer for past 5 years, I am not thoroughly disgusted with the company. Regardless of whether they port out my number, I will never take my business to them and will caution everybody against the same.

However, I write to you to seek your help in understanding -
                                      a) what else I can do get my number ported out from Vodafone ?
                                      b) what is the penalty mechanism on telecom operators for such blatant customer harassment and violation of TRAI norms w.r.t portability ?

Thanks for helping customers air their grievances through this forum.

                                      Regards,
