Dear Team, Both me and my husband had very high thoughts about HOME TOWN and its various products. We have been a regular customer of Home Town in Kolkata, and we really appreciated the variety of products we got to see in their show rooms. But sad to say that HOME TOWN has not lived up to its expectations. Just 2 months back, we bought a 2-door utility cupboard from Kolkata Bhawanipur Show Room, and we had no second thoughts in buying the product. But for the last 20 days, we have been following up with the Customer Care for lodging a complaint on the product. Due to rainy weather, both the outer & inner surface of the cupboard have been infected by fungus, with small insects roaming around. Really surprised to see products of HOME TOWN can be infected by fungus. To make matters worse, even after following up for 20 days, no one has visited our premise to resolve the issue. The main reason for writing here is to bring to the notice of all that lets not go by the face value of Company. Wooden furnitures of HOME TOWN are not of superior quality, and are just like normal woods. The Post Sales Service is also one of the pathetic services in retail industry Thanks, Dr.Srikanta Pandit

Before purchasing the furniture from Hometown please thought 100 times, Because their quality is not so good but they charge a huge amount for the under quality furniture.
It just a cheating.the company person enjoy extra luxurious life with the cheating money.
So there are so many other good co. Opt for them.

By this mail i want to bring to your kind attention towards the incident happened with me today. Today i went to Big Bazaar Store ,Indirapuram(Ghaziabad), Uttar Pradesh, it was really a sad and bad experience for me. The staff is so unsupportive and ill mannered towards customers and doesn't know how to talk in public and with public. It was really bad approach of staff towards the customers, even customer is ready to buy the stuff for the store. I was in a trial room and outside my husband was handing over me the clothes for trial meanwhile when some of your employee entered in corridor and started shouting at me, my husband intervened in between and asked him politely to talk with him and discuss the issue. He said mens are not allowed here. My husband said him that my wife is having leg injury so she need my support and if you have any issue then you call your senior and i will talk to him. He called 4 other employee and one of them started shouting and in between public he yelling go and try clothes at your home. I want to ask you all is this a way you talk to your customers?? Is this your courtesy towards your customers with the help of whom your business stands. For this i will definitely go to consumer court.But my motive behind writing you this mail is to see whether i can still make little hope from you or i have lost that hope too.     I also faced issues with staff at big bazaar. I usuallay but stuffs from Big bazaar indirppuram aditya mall. Mostly they have issues in bill. But ysterday it heppened they charge less instead of charging high rather the executive missed billing some of the articles. I was taken to back office and officer there was very rude . he was treating me as theif though i am not. I kept on yelling that open the CCTV footage and see if that the products are taken to the counter for billing. Instaed of chceking the footage he was trying to scare me saying that i will do the police case and all. being a from a nice family nobody wants to get involved in apolice case. Why cant your executive chcek the CCTV footage and trap the wrong person instead of blaming the customer. I had 4 profit club cards and seeing my bills from last few months i was planning to have one more card but now i wanted to cancel all and if this is the kind of response which i am getting from Big bazaar i never wanted to be in that place again. Its matter of my self respect and repuatation. The officer at back office was saying people are CEOs and stole toothpaste even how can i truest you . Really disgusting . It good to see that u trust your employees but not at all good that you humiliate your customer. Moreover when i asked i dont want to come to this place again the staff said we dont want these customers and you can cancel your cards as well.

    You dont value your customer and as a customer big bazaar is not only the place where i can shop. Do you think customers are fool they will steal preoducts from your shop where CCTV is installed and have strong mechanism of bar code tracing at exit as well.

      GLITCH Service. Defect Product + Terrible service

      Service provided by Home Town is . I purchased TV on 10/08/2013.End of 14 August I didn’t received anything in my hand.
      Service and staff doesn’t support me and also the service from the PHILIPS is so glitch that I still doesn’t got any reply from them.
      Please don’t play with the emotions of Customer. If you don’t able to give the customer what he wants then it’s better to close the service.

      Once the money received from the customer your job end... This is ridiculous .

        I purchased a center table from Home Town " Marathali" Bangalore on the second week of July. It was to be delivered on the 1st of August 2013 . Till now there is no status of the delivery. Every other day when I call they come up with excuses like the product is damaged or delivery will be done in two days. I am fed up and curse the day I decided to buy the furniture from HT.

        Please dont go to HT to buy any furniture. I guess other names in the market would provide better and non frustrating service.

        HT : Please check the number of calls that I made to ur Call Center and even filed a complaint # [protected] to no avail.

        Frustrating is a lesser word...

          I have purchased a King size bed from Hometown Express, Phoenix mall on 04/08/2013 (Invoice number[protected] by paying Rs 46999/-.

          I was informed by Sales person that Bed would be delivered and assembled on 07/08/2013. On 7th August evening bed was delivered as expected and delivery person informed me that assembling will be done tomorrow(i.e. 08/08/2013).

          Assembling person came on 08/08/2013 and found that screws and clamps are missing from the boxes. He advised to call Hometown and request for Screws and clamps. I called Hometown Customer care immediately and they said I would receive a call from Store within 24 hours. and I got the compliant number as [protected].

          On 08/08/2013 nobody called me and I called the customer care again evening for the status. Customer care requested me to wait for another 2 days.

          I called them again today(11/08/2013) and informed that nobody called me. They again asked me to wait 2 more days and have no precise information. I really disappointed with Hometown services. Can you please help me to resolve my problem?

          I have purchased a King Size bed from the Home town showroom at Marathalli, Bangalore. I have paid the full amount on 11th Aug'10 and the delivery date was confirmed to me in writing as 16th Aug'10. Its been more than a month and I am tired of calling up the store officials and hence submitting my complaint to the consumer forum for the necessary action.

          beds — Delivery

          We have paid the bill on 6 th may we have received the cots on 15 may And till now we have not received the beds .How can be possible to sleep.
          Can't delivery the one invoice at a time.And the cots are not fitted properly .

              I purchased several products from Hometown on May 25th worth Rs. 72000. I was promised a delivery date of June 20th (which is already 25 days from the day of Booking).
              Some of the items were delivered in July 2nd week. However, a couple of other items are not delivered yet. i.e even after 60 days of purchase. I have paid everything upfront. Also, in the products that were delivered in July 2nd week, some parts were missing.
              I have made several phone calls and visits to the Hometown. No proper response.
              I was given a couple of phone numbers for escalation. They are not lifting the phone calls at all. I am really really frustrated.

              As I mentioned in my compliant "Also, in the products that were delivered in July 2nd week, some parts were missing"
              a couple of drawer planks were missing. This is still not resolved yet. I have called them several times. NO use.

              Thanks for taking care of delivery of Queen Bed though. It was delivered in first week of August (almost 70 days since it was booked)

              Now, it is another two months over... i.e 4 months over. Till now the issue on missing drawer planks is not resolved.

              And, Nothing is compensated for delay in delivery.

Please note that it is already more thaan 9 months since I booked and 6 months since it was delivered. I have made innumerous number of calls to hometown at Marathahalli, Bangalore. But of no use. I paid full money for my product up front and the service I get is the worst in my lifetime. Havent seen such poor service ever anywhere.

              If anybody from hometown management is noticing this, can you fix it asap ???

                It took 4 months to get them to oder and install just ktchen caninets, which were eventually installed wrong and then since they were already paid they didnt respond at all to several complaints. Absolute bunch of theives! Advice everybody not to even buy stuff from these usless people.

                Have emailed them several times but they dont reply back. Shame, we work hard for our money and they just rip u off.

                  We had bought a morphy richards "chef xpress 100" product from Big Bazar with the Sr no: MI01IC[protected]. The date of this purchase was 26th Aug 2012. Since then the product has been giving us continuous problems. We have already got it repaired twice during the first 9 months. After giving it for the third time around 3 weeks back, still the sevice guys are not able to repair it. Today, the guy came with our 'repaired' coil came but still could not make the induction work. We have been unable to prepair food as we are dependent on this induction cooker. Thus, we demand a replacement of this faulty product as soon as possible as it hasn't even crossed half the time of the warranty period or else we would have to approach the consumer courts as this type of service and product is not expected from a 'worldclass' company like Morphy richards.

                    There is a mehandi stall in BIG BAZAAR-Ameerpet branch ,which the mehandi they are using have created marks ,which are like burnt marks ,this is a serious issue as it is impacting the skin ,now i am unable to reduce those marks,these people charge so high and finally giving out scars on hands by using a very low quality products.Kindly respond to this issue

                      I purchased an Inspiron ( Queen size ) bed on the 30th of June 2013, from home town ( GIP mall Sec-38 Noida ). We were told at the time of purchase that the bed would be delivered by the 5th of July 2013 and would be assembled on the same day. However, on the 5th of July we got a call from the company saying that the bed could not be delivered as the product was out of stock. Apparently Home Town sells items to customers without knowing which items they can and can't sell. After going down the store to complain about the pathetic service, we were told by the manager ( Mr. Mohan Uppal ) that he would have the bed on display, delivered on 6th of July 2013 at 12:30 p.m. and would have it assembled latest by 5 p.m. But the fun continues, (Home Town really has a knack of duping and harassing its customers) the beds were delivered at 5 p.m. but the person who has to assemble it is nowhere in sight. Kudos to Home Town for making this experience an enjoyable one! Can't wait to buy more stuff from them.

                          I booked a 4 seater dining table from hometown(GIP , Noida) on 23rd June 2013. They delivered the product on 26th June 2013 in which chairs assembly kit ( screw set) was missing. The assembly person who came after 3days of receiving the material, noticed the same and reported to his office.On frequently calling the customer care ,They said within 2 days They will send the assembly kit with a person to assemble, but till date they are not sending the kit as well as not updating anything about this. Worst service seen by hometown. Its very pathetic service and i never buy any products from hometown.On calling customer care they simply lodging the complaints but no strong action being taken by them. Its very ridiculous that how such a big mart like Hometown not able to arrange chairs screw.

                            The service of BIG BAZAAR whenever I visit a store, be it in Raghuleela mall, Vashi.. or anywhere else, is too bad. The people working there, be it the person on the baggage counter or the guard on its exit..they all talk rough. Even a street vendor is more polite and talks logical than these people. Even the people on the billing counter are stupid. Once I was shopping in BIG BAZAAR ghatkopar, and due to their mistake in billing, they made me stay for about an hour. Later I had to talk to the manager and he fixed things.

                            i had booked an order on 21/12/09 from big bazzar RANCHI product was (wardrobe), the order number is 3131, after regular follow up that order was delivered on 26th night. then again i called up for the service. as on the receipt given by them is written that "within 48 hours fittment will happen" but nothing happened. i had called them many times but they only told that today they will send the person for fitting but no one came. i called them again, they again told that today they will attend but no one came. 48 hrs had already been passed but no one came. today at 7.00 pm when again i called them up for 5 times the phone ranged but no one picked up the phone. for this thing only i have resheduled my work from last two days. i dont know when they will come or they will come or not.
                            i am very MUCH dissatisfied with their service, further i will try not to purchase any product from big bazzar.

                              My husband and I bought a 4 door wardrobe from Hometown Bhawanipore in Kolkata S/O number [protected] on 26th May 2013 for a total of 28,000 rupees. The product was finally installed at our residence after much delay on 5th June. Firstly the quality of their wood is so bad, some of the drawers were already chipped. The doors and the whole structure is so flimsy that if someone kicked it once it would fall apart like a pack of cards. The wood is called MDF or partical board. And while the shop said the life of this would be 15 years, the installation guys said that furniture made of this material never lasts for more than 5 years. We were shocked. The two men who came to install it worked for 3 and half hours and could not manage to fix a loud creaky sound that came everytime one of the doors opened. They tried to reinstall the doors and tried many other techniques. The noise was coming because the back of the second door of the first 2 door piece was scraping against the back of the first door of the second 2 door piece as it opened. We called home town and complained. After 2 more days and repeated calling and complaining, a senior installation guy came from home town and after spending an hour opening all the screws he also couldn't fix the problem. He even wrote on our bill saying please exchange and we again called home town to complain.

                              Its been 3 days since this happened and a total of 15 days since we bought the product from their showroom and home town doesn't bother to fix our problem. Nobody picks up their phones. When they pick up they refuse to put you on to a senior manager. We have never seen more horrible customer service. We wrote to hometown demanding for a full refund, not a replacement with another lousy cupboard. We are writing this to warn people to never buy the poor products of hometown or it will be a burden for life.

                              i have purchased office chair advance receipt no [protected] from home town marathalli bangalore on dated[protected] they promised delivery on[protected] but they have deliver on[protected] when i made repeated phone calls to them.after that they told me same day it will get assembled again they fooled me nobody come to me next again i made call they told 11am fitter will come again false promise than again i call they told 3pm again same thing another call after 3pm again false promise 6pm nobody has come till i am lodging complaint at 9pm.....totally fraud they have taken full amount but not given service on time.

                                The sofa set was purchased wide, advance receipt number [protected] dated:- 18/10/11 was defective and we have been in correspondence with Future Group wide letters dated 6/01/2012, 11/11/2012, 28/12/2012 and 15/01/2013

                                As per their CRF number:- HTC351 also stated for the manufacturing defective and a replacement for the same. The sofa set was picked up by the company last November AND WE ARE STILL AWAITING THE REPLACEMENT.

                                The letters sent by us states to give us a replacement or remembers the money for the sofa unit.

                                  I am writing this with a very sad note that Home Town is a failure in all aspects of quality, delivery, commitment and professionalism.

                                  I have ordered 3 items (dining table, center table and king size bed) on 28th April 2013 which was due for delivery on 25th May 2013.

                                  None of my items got delivered on time, the first delivery was done on 31st May 2013 and the king size bed which is delivered to me has wrong boxes delivered.



                                  I wish to jolt down following points:

                                  1. The renowned name HomeTown do fail on the commitment of delivery.

                                  2. King size bed delivered to me has wrong boxes delivered and hence the fitting of the same is still pending.

                                  3. The King size bed has defective items.

                                  4. Due to unmanaged and unplanned structure of HomeTown, I had to leave my office twice which ended up loss of my work @ my workplace. People from HomeTown call me after reaching my home where I have already mentioned below:

                                  a. Please intimate me 1 hour in advance about anything like delivery of fitting.

                                  b. Weekdays are hectic for me and only prior intimation may work if they wish to visit my place on weekdays.

                                  Note: Even in the case when I do not get prior intimation, I reach my home in best possible time.

                                  5. HomeTown personals tend to misbehave over phone calls many a times. They kept saying that it will happen only when the queue for me comes up.



                                  After all the consideration and wait for a long time, I wish to log a complaint on above points and am going to consumer court for compensation on this based upon following points:

                                  1. HomeTown fails on the commitment of delivery, quality and professionalism. This leads total loss of faith for the big brand name.

                                  2. Since I had to suffer a loss of work @ my workplace twice, I need compensation for the same.

                                  3. The delivery and fitting of my product is still pending after 12 extra days of said delivery. The actual payment happened 40 days back which is more than sufficient time for any order like this

                                    I was really surprised to hear this from them. Are you guys really running a business? How come one of your customer care representative told me that the product will be shipped in 48 hours and after 48 hours, then another guy can tell me that i have to wait 8 more days to see my order shipped from your warehouse. None of these informations sound credible to me.

                                    Now either you can guys ship me my product shortly or grant me a full refund! I don't want wait any more longer than 48 hours. If you can't do both, then i may have to file a petition against your company with all these proofs!

                                      once again Worst management of future bazar. No one takes responsiblity of late diliveries and bad serivce. On an above they ask ous....U may come on floor and make a complaint. This means they know that there authorities can do nothing on our complaints.
                                      The is rubbish people group doing fraud bussiness.
                                      They promise alot and once we are in their trap...they start showning their original faces.

                                      I have learnt a lesson that never believe hometown for any kind of products and service.

                                      I paid lakhs of ruppes for modular kitchen. Then delivery was so late. and they blame ous for late work started. WTF i[censored]r material is not delivered how are we responsible silly people. And still its goin to be a month now work is not yet completed.
