Settlement letter received, but card still shows outstanding

Settlement letter received, but card still shows outstanding.
I have settled my HSBC credit card account for an amount of 6000/- and also received a settlement letter. The letter clearly mentioned that if I pay the said dues before dates given below the letter my account with them will be deemed closed. They have confirmed the receipt of 6000/- however the HSBC phone banking executives stilll maintain that my account is not closed and that the payment received by them is not for settlement but for my regular dues. I still receive calls from collection agencies for outstanding amount every month and I always fax the copy of settlement letter to satisfy (read: get rid of) them. this has been going on from May 06 till date. I need to know what can be done regarding this. Please help.
    Hi,
I am facing the same problem. Even in my case, I had been committed by authorized person of HSBC, named Sachin Mohun. And when I deposited all the money they didn't close my account and every month they are still sending me statement with increasing amount. I just want to know "Is there any law for them". They are bluntly lying people and steeling our money. Why don't media and government do anything for this all after many deaths and suicide cases of poor and innocent people.

I took a personal loan from HSBC last year. I gave all the documents and it was approved. I received the monet and they told me that the ECS would be deducted. But i always had to pay the amount in cash. I gave them the cheques 3 times for activating the ECS. But it was never done nor did they return my documents. I was paying the amount every month by cash. They used to call me and send an executive to my residence.

In the month of december last year, an executive came to my place and collected money and gave me the receipt. I also checked his ID card and it was from HSBC. After i paid the amount, i again got a call from HSBC bank that my EMI is due. I said that i have given the amount and they asked me to give the receipt number. I gave the receipt number and they said that the receipt number is incorrect and they have not issued this receipt.

I went to the bank and they told me that the case has been sent to the Fraud department and they are trying to figure out who took the money as they already have more cases where the same incident has happened.

They never called me back and i was following up with them on a regular basis. I also co ordinated when they asked to identify a number of people in photographs as well as in the bank. But they were not able to figure out who took the money.

All my personal details which i gave to the bank was leaked and it was available to the representative who came to my residence. That representative had a list of all the people whose EMI is pending and also had their account numbers and other details like residence address, phone number, PAN card number etc. This is a fraud which have been done to me and now they have put my name in SEBEL so that i cannot even apply for a loan.

This is totally wrong on their part. I was ready to pay the EMI but my only concern was that incident. I followed up with the bank but noone helped me out. I believe that HSBC bank should be penalised for this and not me. My name should be removed from SEBEL and i have the fraud receipt with me. I also went to the consumer court in Pune but they said that i will have to send a notice to them before i can file a case.

I request you to please help me out in solving this matter.

I was holding the HSBC credit card ([protected]) and I made the entire payment of my outstanding in June 2006. Typically, I do not use BTs or Min due payments (you can check this in records).

After that period(June, 2006) I had stopped using the HSBC card because of the following reason -

I was not receiving the bills on regular basis, everytime I have to callup the call center to ask about my Due date and Outstanding Balance. I had also logged the complaint twice but no improvement and finally I have stopped using the HSBC card.(you can refer the call log entry)

Since June 2006, I had not received any statement neither any call nor the renewal card.

Suddenly in April 2009 (after 3 years) and May 2009, I had received the statement from HSBC on my email id ([protected]@yahoo.com) with some outstanding balance related to late fees and finance charges.

Suddenly, on 24th May, I had received the call from Collection Department(Nilesh) and on 5th June, I had received the call from Recovery Department(Santosh). I had explain the entire situation to the both the persons and demanding the answers to the following questions but they are failed to give me the answers.

1 - Why I had not recieved any statement since June 2006, if there was any outstanding? (As per my understanding, there was no outstanding as I made the entire payment in June 2006)
2 - If there was any outstanding, why didn't I receive any reminder call or email till Apr 2009?
3 - My email address and Phone number had not changed since 2004, if HSBC can reach me now then why not before? why HSBC had wait for three years?
4 - Why Recovery Department is giving me the threat that he is going to send my name in CBIL, without completing the research from their end?
5 - I don't have the statement of June 2006, I had asked regarding the statement from collection, recovery and call centre but all of them are saying that they can't provide me the statement. Why its not provided to user? How I can prove that I had made the entire payment in June 2006 without the statement.
6 - My card is issued in 2005 and expires in 2007, and I have not received any renewal card till today and even not get any call from HSBC regarding the same

Srinivasan, Nodal Officer HSBC-India, expressing concerns on your HSBC
          Credit Card.

Our record indicates that your card account was levied with the annual

charges were accrued on your card account.

We wish to inform you that a Lifetime Free Credit card would depend on
the corporate tie up between HSBC and different companies. Therefore,
we regret that we are unable to offer a Lifetime Free Card to you as of
          now.

          and liabilities.
Our records indicates that your card account was invalidated from

My detailed Case as I wrote to HSBC:

I had m ade the payment of 13000 on 27th March to a collection agent called Madhu, from SCS collection agency employed by you on clear terms of settlement as per the million calls I received from your credit card division.

In the first bill I had made through the same agent I even wrote along with my signature in clear words that I am only making the payment for closure of the card, which the same guy replaced the next day saying that HSBC will not allow anything to be written in the bill.

Now who is responsible for this mess you? Your company or me? As far as I am concerned I have paid the full amount of settlement that is 13000 on 27th march 2009 to HSBC as suggested by your team, and have nothing to do with your credit card division. You can keep sending as many statements as you want but please note that I will not not be paying a penny more than this towards a card I haven't been using for months now.

Tomorrow morning I am going to HSBC bank in Mylore to enquire about this collection dept and agents of yours and I assure I will create a scene if your bank does not identify this bogus collection team of yours and do justice to the fraud they have done in this regard,

Please note that I have already filed a con sumer complaint against the bank in this regard.

And I will file another case in the consumer court for the immoral dealing your company has done in this regard giving false claims of settlements and cheating the customers.

I dully give you my word in this regard,

            Krishna.
This is HSBC's response after a long deliberation, they have washed their hands off it:

            Dear Mr. Unnikrishnan,

            Feedback Number [protected]

            Your HSBC Credit Card ****4260

We refer to your email dated 15 June 2009 regarding your HSBC Credit Card.

We would also like to inform you offering settlement for a card account is based on bank discretion and customers are intimated by physical settlement letter stating the terms and conditions for settlement of his card account. Verbal settlements are considered null and void.

Hence the payment made to your credit card account was not considered as settlement and thus not zeroised. We express our inability to assist you further without the scan copy of the settlement letter.

However we request you to revert with the agents name, who promised you settlement along with the agency name to investigate further. Please contact our Debt Management Department at the below mentioned number for further assistance on your card account.

            [protected]

Alternatively, you may also visit your nearest HSBC Branch and contact the relevant person from the Debt Management Department for settlement of your card account.

Please feel free to write to us if you require further clarification.

            Yours sincerely,

            Customer Service Executive
The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited
My Final response to HSBC, I no longer wish to waste my time with a Bank that has no intentions of correcting a wrong done by their responsible agency:

I have already shared the same with you 4-5 times in all my mails,

            The Person's name is Madhu
            Agency is SCS.
            Bill dated: 27/03/2009

And the Option and amount for settlement was give to me by your agencies or agents:

Also please note that the payment was done specifically for settlement (After confirming the same with your representatives over phone atleast 3-4 times before I made the payment) where I even wrote the same in the first Bill I had made payment to HSBC, where in the collection agent deliberately replaced the same saying that you can trust HSBC to send you the settlement and closure document in a week's time and that nothing has to be written in the bill.

This is a deliberate attempt of fraud from the HSBC Bank's side or from the agencies you are responsible for. As HSBC is not in direct interaction with any of the card users unless by calls or collection whom we assume are the representatives of HSBC, you are solely responsible for this fraud and the bank is playing the blame game putting end user like me in more mental and financial pressure,

I assure you if you do not take responsibility of the situation and resolve this ASAP, I will write to the entire world if required and file an immediate consumer case in consumer court for humiliation and harassment by your agencies and a fraud by both HSBC and its agencies.

And now you want me to personally leave aside my job and other commitments and run around to find the agent and agency and go for another settlement? Is that what you are asking, for a act of fraud doen by your agent, you want me to sacrifice my valuable personal time to resolve the same?

Further more please be sure that I will not make a Penny worth of payment towards HSBC Card, not now or never. I suggest you take your own actions as you feel and I am taking mine, as I have been cheated by your bank and you are going to stand responsible for the same.

HSBC Credit Card — HSBC Credit card Settlement

I have cleared my dues of HSBC Credit card vide no. [protected] on 21.1.2003 and the balance shown by HSBC is Nil. It is shocking to know that the same is shown as default . I had applied for a loan and consequently i had come to know that the same is reflected as a default after six long years. I wanted to clear this doubt and i had approached the bank and i am very unhappy with their response. I had contacted [protected]@hsbc.co.in and nodal [protected]@hsbc.co.in. I was even asked to contact these numbers i.e. 67116251, 67115650, 66667070, 67115687 and 67115639 with different names all the times but either the numbers are engaged all the times or not responding. I had even asked for address so that i to clear the ambiguity in person but i was not given the same.

I want to apply for a housing loan and this is creating problems in CIBIL for no fault of mine as i am not getting any type of loan from any financial institution.

            Dear Unnikrishnan

Even if you would have settled your card with them, they will still report you as defaulter in CIBIL. It isbest advised to pay them the total amount due so that you are not reported in CIBIL. Most banks use settlement to their advantage because even after settlement is done by paying any amount less than total outstanding which includes late fees & interest charges thwy report you as defaulter in CIBIL & post that you will never get a lon from any financial institution. HSBC has a collections head office in Worli. Mumbai. You should follow up with them on where has your initila payment gone. as for now, I would say pay them full money & avoid CIBIL mess. Imagaine paying interest @ 36 % on your outstandings accrued for over years.

i am holding credit cards of different banks. some times i settle my credit card dues through visa transfer. In such cases, i find that my savings account is debited immediately on payment, whereas the corresponding credit by HSBC is only on the date of realisation at their end. It is quite surprising that other banks give the credit with retrospective effect, i.e. from the date my account was debited. e.g. Deutsche bank. can this be represented to RBI to standardise the effective date of credit, as otherwise, HSBC (or other banks) which follow this practice, charge interest from the date of debit to the savings account to the date of credit in their account. Effectively we lose interest on our savings account for this period and also end up paying additional interest to the banks.

                Mumbai 13-Jun-09

                Dear Sir / Madam,

I had opted for a life time free HSBC Gold credit card [protected] & an add on card [protected].

When I received my first bill for INR 1770.56 /-, I was shocked to see that I was billed for TATA AIG Life Insurance policy which I had not opted for at the timing of signing on.

Immediately I sent a request to HSBC for cancellation of my credit card and to zeroise any payment due as I had not wanted services for which I was billed on 14.08.09 (HSBC acknowledgement no.KMM1088933I123L0KM)

HSBC promptly sent me confirmation on 15.08.08 that the account will be zeroised vide their internal ref no[protected].(HSBC acknowledgement no. KMM1098599I123L0KM)

Thereafter from December 2008 I started getting calls from HSBC’s agent in Delhi for recovery of payment which was bloated to Rs 5000 or so with late payment / finance charges. I refused to pay since I was billed for services I did not want and also because HSBC had themselves waived the outstanding amount. The agents did not recognize the ref no[protected] of HSBC towards waiver and continued harassing me for payment. Eventually I paid a sum of Rs 5741/- (in two lots of Rs 3059 & Rs 2682.) towards services I have not used as a result of harassment and to stop the calls which was a big nuisance to me.

When I have contacted HSBC for refund of money since I should not be paying HSBC, I have been given a cold shoulder treatment by all their officers.

I am a respected citizen of democratic INDIA and I have never defaulted on any payment till date. I was manhandled by HSBC in this instance and very unfair treatment.

I seek justice in this case and kindly advice how should I proceed.

                Best Rgards

                  Dear Sir/Mam,
I am using credit card of HSBC bank([protected]) for a very long time. Earlier when i made a transaction of more than Rs.3000/-, they use to call me and intimate me that i can convert it in to EMI.By getting attracted by this facility i converted my transaction in to EMI.After that also i again converted my some transactions in to EMI and always made its payment with out any failure. Recently i purchased a digital camera. As i was not able to pay the full amount at that time, i purchased it through their credit card. When i called them to convert it into EMI, they refused me by giving the reason that company has withdraw their scheme and when i asked them about its non intimation, they replied me that it is company's internal matter. I am continuosly communicating them through email, but i am not getting any convincing reply from them. This matter has made me mentally disturbed and harrassed. So, i request you to kindly help me out from this situation.

                  Regards,

                        Dear Sir/Ma'm,
I have been using a cerdit card from HSBC since last 7-8 years. For the first time in these 7-8 years, I made a partial payment for my credit card. I am surprised to see the charges levied by the bank. Following is the brief history of the events:
                        1) For the statement generated on 3-Apr-09, the outstanding balance on my name was Rs 10, 433/-. Payment due date was 24-Apr-09. I made the complete payment on 18-Apr-09.
                        2) For the next statement generated on 3-May-09, the outstanding balance on my name was Rs 13, 864/-. Payment due date was 25-May-09. I made a partial payment of Rs 8, 000/- on 23-May-09.
                        3) Remaining outstanding balance was Rs 5, 864/-. As per my understanding, charges for late payment of 1 month @ 3.30% pm should be: Rs 194/- only.
                        4) But they have levied Rs 877/- (excl. servicce charges), I can see following 2 transactions in my statement:
                        FINANCE CHARGES FOR LAST STATEMENT - 20001 - 1: Rs 401.33/-
                        FINANCE CHARGES FOR THIS STATEMENT - 20001 - 1: Rs 476.09/-

                        5) On request they have also sent the details of these finance charges, which I'm not able to understand. I my opinion, I should pay only Rs 194/- as financial charges (as mentioned at point 3) above)

                        Please help!

                        Regards,

Here by just want all of the concerned people in my vicinity (my friends and my relatives and all possible people I associate with) to be informed (rather WELL INFORMED) that NEVER CHOOSE HSBC BANK Credit Card I will never ever recommend any one to go for HSBC bank. Another reason being the ROI was not better compared to other banks when I made the deal, but as my purchase was the last day of month where targets are to be met it was sanctioned with the ROI that was offered by others!

I have made full payment not settlement after they told me we wont give NOC to you because it is against bank policy. HSBC customer care is useless because that bugger unable to give correct information(Simple they are uneducated)
The slogan your The world's local bank ! Looks dull to me – I suggest to change it to The world's local bank

I have recieved a message from HSBC regarding increase in credit limit. Few days later some one from Delhi HSBC calls me for the same i advised the lady i do not need the service. After an hour i get a call for the same reason again i advised the same. Third time i shouted on them and asked them please update their system that i need not want my credit limit to be extended. Now its been a week i am constantly getting calls from them on my cell phone as well as my land lines the numbers are [protected] and [protected]. I spoke to HSBC head office to resolve this issue they said, i have to register for Do Not Disturb service and they will stop the service in next 7 days. That means i have to listen to the same calls for one more week. HSBC please take necessary action against them or i will have to take some action against the same.

This was the request i made to the bank.

                              Dear Sir/Madam,
                              Happy Morning...
In continuation with the Telecon, I would like to bring to your notice that I have been given the platinum card numbering - Card No [protected]. During past new months I have been facing problems of not receiving the statements on time. I have been bringing the point to your notice to the bank timely. Even in the last month as usual i.e april month statement has not reached me on time. I was also held up with a few business commitments and was unable to call the bank on time. I realised the same only on the 4th of May 2009 and called the bank on the same day. I deposited the cheques on the same day for the dues. I want to bring to you notice that I had no intention of delaying the payment. I already had a balance to my credit amounting to Rs 60, 000/- to 70, 000 in the savings account (if required I can send the statement of the other bank).
There has been a levy of Rs 5746/- towards interest and late payment charges. The payment have been credit to the HSBC bank within the 8th of May 2009. This is really pinching me for no mistake of mine.
Also request the bank to take note of the the history of the account/ card into account. I have remitted all payments in time except this one. The card was upgraded from gold card to platinum card. There was no problem of statement when I was holding a gold card but once I go the platinum card all problems are cropping up. A person is penalised for no mistake of his, it hurts a lot.
I had also requested the bank to send me the statements by e-mail but your bank personnel always tell me that the mail will be sent and it will reach by 3-4 working hours. But till date I have not received any mail into [protected]@gmail.com.
Even after I had lodged the complaint on 4th May 2009, I received the statement only after a span of 10 to 12 days. Kindly go through the delivery advise in this regard. to get a courier it takes around 10 to 12 days. I could have actually waited to get the statement and then make the payment but i didnt do that. No consideration for that.
Then I called the officer for waiver but the lady was so rude to blankly tell that only 50 % of the amount shall be waived and you have to bear the 50%. If that was the case then I could have waited for the next due date and made the payment as the bank had levied the interest. The lady also blankly told that it was my duty to call the bank for non receipt of statement. why is it that the bank has not sent a statment even for the months of jan to feb 09 and march 09? i want a reply for that. even i had to follow up for the same and got duplicate statements. I was really an herculus task. I would have called nothing less that 10- 15 times to get those staements. Is this the service the bank is giving for a valued platinum card customer.
I request that this matter is takenup at higher authorities level. Even after this mail if no action is taken in this regard then I shall make the payment and the bank will be loosing a valuable customer.
                              Thanks and regards
                              Chandra Shekar

This was the reply I got from HSBC bank.

Everytime when your executive calls me, he promise to send me hard copy of statement within 3 days but I haven't recieved any statement till now.every time they tell me to pay minimum bill which I have to pay to avoid late payment even when I know that interest charges will b there on remaining amount.Since I dont have any other option I have to make minimum payment.
On that they are calling everyday and troubling me to minimum payment.

I am an HSBC Gold credit card holder for the past 5 years and i have been paying the bills promptly without even carrying forward the balance to the subsequent month. I received the statement for the period from 7th May, 2009 to 6 June, 2009 and i was shocked to see that i have been charged late fee of Rs.400/- and finance charges for two months totalling to about Rs.467/-. Despite my prompt payment every month, i have been charged this late fee even though i dropped the cheque, if i remember correct on 25/26.5.2009. The customer executives, when i pointed out this, did not respond properly and they said that they are helpless.

I really fail to understand that the bank has been making unreasonable charges without considering the payment history of the customer and when i requested the customer executive, they were very curt and told me that they cannot do it. This kind of a late fee and finance charges should be levied only to customers who are always in default and i have never been in default so far in any month. This shows the audocity of the HSBC bank officials and how they exploit credit card customers like me. they are virtually cheating the customers and looting them.

i would like to cancel my credit card and i would like to bring this to the notice of highest authorities of the HSBC bank and also the public.

i do not want to even want to thank you before ending this letter and HSBC has built its empire by cheating customers like this.

                                    HSBC — Late payment charges

HSBC is charging penalty of Rs. 750 + ST as late payment charges this is being done in connivance with their own cheque collecting agencies (Sky pack Drop Boxes). I dropped a cheque of Rs. 5000/- 6 days prior to the due date but due to deliberate delay in collection of cheque by bank's agency, the penalty was levied. I also suggested the bank to provide a dated receipt of the cheque so dropped in the drop box, this suggestion remains unattended as the bank will loose huge amount which is sucked by the bank as late payment charges. RBI should look into this legalised loot by HSBC and take corrective measures to give some relief to honest card users.

                                      Dear Sir

                                      Sub : Annual renewal fees

                                      Ref: My HSBC Card No.[protected]

I am working in Dish TV India Ltd. With reference to your statement for the period 4th May to 2nd june.2009. I have surprised to charge Rs.1158.15/- for anual charges.

I write to inform you that the amount mentioned by you in your letter has not arisen out of my purchase and non-payment but for the debits of the annual renewal fees charged by you. One back HSBC marketing agent approached to my company and provided the credit card for free of cost and said its life time free card there be no any processing fees and annual fees or charges on the credit card. During the verification process HSBC customer care called me said the same about charges.

Please note that at the time of offering the card your marketing team had given me to understand that the card given to me was life time free of charges. However, to my surprise I received a statement from your bank wherein you had charged annual renewal fees.

But now, after 1 year 2 months they charged 700 + 72.10(Service tax) for primary card and 350 + 36.05(Service tax) for add-on card. I called up customer care, they saying that they decided to have charges from this year.

Even without informing me, HSBC charged Rs. 1158.15 in current month’s bill. If they could informed me last month, I would have been cancelled the credit card last month itself. How can you charge annual renewal fees?

The bank didn't have the courtesy to what they have commited with the customer.

Immediately I had communicated my decision to your executives over phone who assured me of doing the needful. Inspite of this, I have contacted the customer service several times, which disturbing my peace. This is going to be the final letter to you and if there's no response from the bank and I have to register a complaint with RBI in this regard considered as Big Fraud company.

Please look into the matter and credit the amount Rs.1158.15/-(annual renewal fees) at the earliest and oblige. Also inform the actual due amount, I have to clear the amount as early as possible.

                                      Awaiting for your reply.

                                      Thanking you

                                      Yours faithfully,
                                      Ashwinder singh Jasrotia.

HSBC Credit Card — Not Returning my extra payment

                                      Dear Sir,

I was a credit card holder of HSBC card No. [protected]. Due to the service provider's bad service I had canceled my credit card few months back. I had made some extra payments to them. So, I have a credit balance of Rs. 410/-. But, its already more then six months. Every time I make a call to HSBC they positively reply that I will be getting my cheque within four days. I have called them more than 20 times but till date they have not returned my cheque. Sometimes they also say that my address is not proper. But, how it is possible, North Bengal University, Distt: Darjeeling, I think is not a unknown name.

Sir, I had been harrassed since last sixth month. I want my money back with interest as well as proper compensation should be provided to me as I have lost lot of money in making calls to HSBC and also wasted my valuable time. Rs 410/- is not a big amount but as a citizen of India, I do not want to give up my right.

                                      Sir, please help me.

                                        Hello Sir,
This is Mr. Praphulla Pawar. I was given this Credit Card in 2008. After taking this card, within two months some one from TATA AIG Insuarnce called me to take Yearly Medical policy of Rs 100 monthly. That was a telephonic policy and no signature were done as there was no paper work involved. Though i really do not remember what did i speak on phone. But i got courier that policy is taken by me for Rs 100 monthly. but after 2 months i cancelled that policy as per calling toll free number given on courier docs.

But as i did not get statements in time i could not make timely payment. When i got statement they charged me some intrest and asked me to pay that amount before 1st Feb 2009. And i issued cheque for the same of Rs 450 (Including intrest) and it was also cleared. But next month again i got statement that i did not make payment in time and hence they cancelled my Cedit Card and now asking me to pay Cancelling charges of Rs 3000 (Not it is increased to Rs 5500). I don't have any problem for Cancellation of Credit Card as till now i never done any Purchase on Credit Card.

When I called their Customer Care today they said that Policy was never Cancelleld as what i was assuming. But when i did call to Cancel policy that Lady told me that it will be cancelled that day only. Now i don't understand how i am faulty here. And now for mere Rs 200 Rs i have been asked to pay Rs 5500.

Can you please suggest me what should i do here.

                                        Best Regards,
                                        Praphulla Pawar,

HSBC Credit Card — FAULTY CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS WITHOUT ISSUING CREDIT CARD

The Abovementioned Bank, one of the reputed Credit Card Providers has been denying a basic right to the customer, i.e. Ensuring the Credit Card is given to the Customer before Sending out Credit Card statements.

On 23rd July 2010, I had requested for Blocking of my credit card since some confidential documents pertaining to the Credit Card details were misplaced. Immediately the Credit Card was hot listed and blocked. As per the billing cycle, I received the Credit Card statement for the Purchases made in the Month of July and the same was settled in Aug 2010. For the entire Month of Aug and Sept the Credit Card was in the "HOT LISTED" AND BLOCKED" status. Despite the same, the Bank has been sending Credit Card statements with Primary Card Numbers repeatedly changed and has been charging Money and late payment fees, whereas the customer doesnt even have the CARD in a WORKING status, nor has the bank ensured that the customer has a REPLACEMENT CARD. Till Today, 18th Sept 2010, the bank has sent two different Credit Card statements with different card numbers (Different from the Credit card number in July 2010) and has asked the customer to Honor the payment.

The customer infact in good faith made the payment and registered a complaint on 4th Sept 2010, stating that the late payment fees has been wrongly charged and the Credit card statements have been sent with a different Card number, whereas the customer doesnt even have the Credit card of the said number. The Customer complaint number filed was :[protected] on 4th Sept 2010.

Surprisingly on 13th Sept another Credit CArd statement was sent to the customer now with a new credit card number (Third one : original was xxxxxxxxxxx7539, changed to xxxxxxxxxx8991, changed to xxxxxxx3361). Again, the late payment fees was charged.

Today, I have personally called up the bank and the Bank Official (Manjit Singh ) has registered a complaint again, after profuse apologies that indeed the bank has done incorrect thing of not sending a card, of sendng a statement without a card being given and ofcourse of charging the late payment fees.
The said compalint reference number given today is[protected]. On requesting for speaking to a Senior MAnager on the floor, the Senior Manager denied to come online. Instead sent a message, that we shall study the case and get back by monday.

The So called Reputed bank has now for the last few months made it a practise to charge late payment charges, despite ensuring the payments are dropped on time. Last month, the ICICI bank cheque was dropped 10 days before the due date, however HSBC bank did not collect the cheque from ICICI bank. This i had personally checked to find out why are payments being charged for late payment.

I would like to register a complaint with the higher authorities that when I forced to pick up the cheque from ICICI bank to the HSBC Bank Executive, it was picked up after due date, despite droppin the cheques before due date. This seems to be a methodology to RECOVER "Annual Fees" which is for a platinum card customer given as a life time free card.

I am thoroughly disappointed with a Reputed bank like HSBC and would only ask other customers to bank with the said bank after due checks

I may be able to help you. I can assure you that I will do all that I can to help you. I have been very successful in the people that I have taken up their cases with HSBC. Now they will not let me help anymore Indian's. You may wonder why, ask the Chairman of HSBC Plc Mr Flint why.

Please go to this site. This is an interview that I did concerning HSBC.

If customers UNITE in India and decide to leave HSBC India in support of their fellow Indian's, who are making complaints about HSBC India then this may make HSBC Plc take action.
They talk about their Global Footprint and their Integrity. Please look at the following sites and see what the Indian people are saying about HSBC behaviour towards them.
