I'm holding an account with the icici bank and i submitted my passport and pan card as a proof. There was a spelling mistake in my father's name which is already corrected in my passport and then i corrected in all the docs.
During opening an account i mentioned to go as per passport. Since then i was submitting the requests to correct it - with one or the other reason they didn't do it.
Recently i again went to the branch with my passport, pan, driving license, aadhaar card, and ssc certificate copy to correct the name they are not ready to accept those; instead demanded a declaration from gazetted officer who works in state secretariat. I said it's not a name change, it's a correction of spell mistake but no one is able to help. I am not able to submit gazetted for as it's just typo in the middle name, not a name change.
Due to that, i am not able to do any transaction with my overseas bank account who follows the passport name.
The only option i have is to close all the accounts with them.
