Oneassist has charged, without any consent, a subscription fee. Until today morning, i didn't even know they existed. I called kotak first, to report a fraudulent charge, i was redirected to oneassist. I called oneassist, who insisted the charge was genuine and had been authorised by kotak and redirected me to kotak. As i keep getting redirected in this never-ending saga of consumer fraud, the following is what i have learnt.
1. Oneassist and credit card companies are hand in glove with each other trying to upsell products to customers.
2. Rather than selling the product through genuine channels, they resort to an unauthorised auto debit and reverse only for those who notice & complain the same swiftly, as seen by the 1500+ complains about oneassist.
3.in the era where banks are increasing security protocols and initiating 2 step & 3 step verification, no one can save us if it's the banks who sell us out.
