Refund on cancellation

Dear OYO TEAM

This is with regard to my booking made at OYO Townhouse 013 New Friends Colony on 2nd of sepetember 2021... i was told over phone by miss naina, that she is confirming a room on the 3rd floor which is a spacious room with a good balcony space and a LIFT ..so in good faith in your name, i made an online payment from my paytm upi account..

However when i went to the hotel, a room on the 3rd floor...

Yesterday I booked Hotel prerna in raipur. But as I went to the hotel. They denied to give the rooms by saying that rooms are full and lights are not fixed. It was a pre-booked room. But payment was not done. Though the booking was confirm.

    Date September 20th around 10 PM:-

    I was looking to book a room for my employees for their business visit, I came to know about this hotel "SilverKey Executive Stays 20018 D Square OMR" on the OYO website. On the website, it was mentioned the Check-In time was 12PM. We needed an early check-in between 7 AM - 8 AM, I called OYO customer care (+[protected] for an inquiry, I asked whether early check-in is possible for the above-mentioned place. The Person told me he has contacted the hotel and rooms are available and I can check-in early between 7 AM - 8 AM. I confirmed early check-in multiple times during the conversation. The person on call told me that early check-in has been confirmed from the hotel side, and he asked whether he can book it for me. He booked the room, I got a payment link from Paytm in SMS and I made the payment.

    Date September 21st around 8AM:

    Our employees reached the hotel, the hotel denied the early check-in stating the room was full and they were not informed about early check-in. When I enquired OYO customer care the previous day for booking, the customer care executive told me that he has informed the hotel and also the rooms are available. But on visiting, the hotel denied early check-in. We have a business meeting at 10 AM. Our employees requested to provide a place at least for refreshment, so that they can ready for the business meeting and check-in later. But the hotel denied it and told that all rooms were full, told to wait till 10 AM. The conversation between ourselves and the hotel took around 30-45min. Since we didn't have enough time to get ready for the meeting, our employees took the help of some people around that area and got ready for the business meeting. Around 9:20 AM I called OYO customer care, stating the problem we faced and I asked for a cancellation with a refund, the customer care person told me to cancel and informed me that I'll get the refund.

    I opened the OYO website and canceled my booking. After 10mins I am getting an email from OYO with an invoice stating that my full amount has been taken as a cancellation charge. I called OYO customer care again, they reply me that I should have canceled the room before 9 AM, on canceling after 9 AM, I need to pay the full amount as a cancellation charge. I contacted customer care at 9:20 AM and they told me to cancel to get the refund, how come I can cancel before 9 AM. I even asked whether we can stay at the hotel tonight since the amount was not refundable. They denied that too and told me to make a new booking.

    To Summarize,
    1. Upon confirmation from OYO customer care for early check-in, I made the payment. Customer care executives on OYO are giving false promises and information just to create a booking.
    2. Customer Care Agents are not well informed about the policies. (On calling after 9 AM, One customer care executive tells to cancel the booking to get a refund. After cancellation, the other customer care executive tells no refunds will be made if cancellation is made after 9 AM)

    I didn't receive any service, I ended up losing my booking amount of Rs.1571.
    Without providing any service, just by misguiding customers, OYO is looting so much money. OYO is a Scam.

      I had raised a complaint but it is not resolved yet and it's marked as resolved by oyo rooms. This is how you are making profit??? By debiting money from people's account and not booking the room at all?

        This is to inform you that i booked hotel (booking id ; CZ2H9584) through call with OYO executive on 12.09.2021 with partial payment amount INR 714 (refer screenshot for booking details)

        On next day i.e 13.09.2021 at around 9:15 am i received call from hotel management (mobile no:[+91 [[protected]] and name: Rahul] .He informed me that you have to pay remaining amount to confirm booking. Please be note that person have all information like partial payment detail which i made, remaining amount, location of hotel, Name of hotel, name of customer etc. Based on information i paid amount of INR 2142 through UPI .

        I came to know at hotel reception that payment has not been received. Person who called me is not available at hotel as well as on call.

        In view the cases clearly shows that its a mistake of OYO/hotel management to leak booking information or not accepting payments.

        I have also shared all this with the oyo support and emailed them all the details(screenshot attached) but have not gotten any response yet.

        I have also reported my bank about the payment of INR 2142 as fraud and currently it has been credited back to my account as temporary credit.

Any instances where a collection of payment is attempted from any unauthorized payment gateways other than the ones mentioned above are acts of suspicious payment collection.           My booking id is O5LC5499, I booked room as per oyo customer care concern, but in there is facility available as per discussion, it's totally fraud making team oyo.
          I am suffered hole night heat room, more mosquitos, it's fully affected my second working day.
          Very same & bad oyo team. It's fully waste of money.

              We had made a bulk booking in July 1st Week, and then a couple of days later cancelled it as the hotel was not upto the mark.
              Oyo customer service confirmed a refund of INR 13, 500. However, even after 3 whole months the money has not been credited yet.
              We don't receive any reply on the emails either.

                Hotel staff denied check-in as they are not accepting online payments, so we had paid the cash and created a new booking.
                we tried reaching customer care to refund the amount paid online for the booking. every time they disconnect the call after keeping it hold for some time and CC is not up to the mark on resolving the customer queries.

                    I have booked a hotel room through OYO. However after reaching hotel, they deny our check-in saying that it is not a hotel and it's a guest house and it's not for outsiders. When we contact customer care, they put us on hold and Do not respond. We have been waiting in front of the gate for 30 min and after they open the gate, 1 hour got wasted in discussion. We were left on road. After heavy argument, they confirmed that hotel is under maintenance and has many repairs and they can provide us the room if we can adjust. All the money and time we spend were of vain. We are three female here and this hotel is not for women. We were left with no option

                    The team always connects to us and get the details of issue and we need to repeat the entire story again to each and every member. It would be like a tape recorder speaking itself without any interaction from the other. The same thing happened thrice on day of issue and yesterday again. They just get the details from us and no resolution would be provided after that. What would be done after 4 days of issue. When we were standing on road without any clue, there is no one to address us, what else can be expected after 4 days. The worst customer care I have ever dealt with. In the reply above it was mentioned "team has connected with you in regards to your concern and provided you a needful resolution", please let me know the resolution they have provided.

                    Issue: Manage denied our check in and as mentioned, that's not at all a hotel but a guest house for ONGC. Its not suitable for female which was not informed to us during booking confirmation.

                      I tried to book a room on th Oyo app on 13th sept 2021 and an amount of Rs.1412 was debited for the same but the booking was not confirmed and I had to rebook and pay again.                       This is so frustrating.. customer care guys are nonsense.. do not hear anything. The app is bogus which takes payments and then do not confirm the booking.
                      Her is my concern.

                      I have booked a hotel today for one day which redicted payment of 1968 to upi I'd and it paid. Then I selected the paid option in oyo app and it took me to the page where waiting for payment for unlimited time. Then I had a chat with chat support where they kept me in hold for atleast 15 mins without response. I have shared theme my transaction I'd as well. Then I called the customer care where I am not getting option to support guys as the booking was not confirmed then they are asking for my number and the last 4 digits of my booking . I have given my number and the last four digits of the booking now the interesting part is there are connecting to the booking department and the guys are telling me to connect to service desk .. this is going round and round.
                      .I need refund immediately . These frustrating app I will never use.

                      I don't know why taking this much of time to refund the amount.
                      This is the worst part of it.. cancelled automatically though I have not cancelled it from the app .I have asked in this forum for refund .And it says cancelled but refund is 0.

                        I booked a hotel through oyo app..while doing the payment through phonepe..money got debited but no booking id created and no booking happened...in my phone pe ..it is showing ..amount transferred to oyo merchant successful...so please look into this issue. Refund the debited money

                            Dear Sir / Madam,

                            I am writing to you to raise an issue about Oyo Room Bookings

                            The issue that I have experienced was as follows:

                            I had booked a room through customer service,[protected], and I got booked in the wrong hotel, very far (Mahasamund, Chattisgarh) from the place I was (Raipur Junction Station).

                            My Booking ID is - UPMB4049. Now, As I had paid while on the call with the Oyo customer support. I have attached the photo for reference. My UPI transaction ID[protected]oyorooms.[protected]@hdfcbank) on Aug 4th 2021 at 17:51 Hours. Deducted fee for the booking amount is Rs 2837.

                            However, I had cancelled the booking as the person had booked the hotel very far from the place I had mentioned. I have not yet received the money from Oyo. It's been 4 weeks now, I would like to know my refund status for the same and would like to process it this week itself.

                            Please do resolve this issue as soon as possible.

                            The solution I would want - Oyo should take the minimum amount as booking charge and the rest should be Refunded.

                            I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply back via this email account.

                              I want to draw your attention to the incident that happened On 11 September 2021, I had received a call from an OYO representative ([protected]), asking for payment of Rs. 2928/- for booking confirmation. After making a successful payment I haven't received any confirmations. When I tried to contact customer care they are not ready to help me with this. I don't understand how that person knows every detail about my booking. He knows everything in detail that means OYO management is very careless about customers sensitive data. This is unfair that company are not trustworthy right now.

                              I am attaching the screenshot of the payment so that you can be sure and check if the action has been initiated by any of your representatives.

                              Please let me know further steps to protect my account in the future.

                              Also, let me know if there is a possibility to recover my hard-earned savings.

                                Mere dwara hotel park view me 12 sep ke liye AC room classic 2x book kiya tha but mene jb hotel call kiya to uske dwara mujhse price poonchha, to mene 999 bataya . To turant bolta hai ki mt aaiye yha . Room bhi non ac dege bakchodi mt kroo ye wo . ... ar call cut kr diya . Mere dwara bapas bar bar call krne par no response. Last me mujhe booking cancle krni pdi ar plan b mujhe apna change krna pda .ese agar hoga to kese beleive kiya jayega

                                    I have booked room for two days 8 and 9 September but stayed only one day, I tried to cancel my booking for 9th of September and also tried to call customer care but they dint replied,

                                    I want my refund for 9th September,

                                      I booked a hotel through oyo app..while doing the payment through phonepe..money got debited but no booking id created and no booking happened...in my phone pe ..it is showing ..amount transferred to oyo merchant successful...so please look into this issue. Refund the debited money. please help fast my booking is for today
