After going through PUREIT advertisement in the media, I have called their call centre no. [protected] for free demo of PURE IT – Water Purifier and Mr. Manjunath from M/s. Domlur SWZ (Rishab Distributor) had visited my house at Richmond Town, Bangalore – 560 025 for product demonstration on 6th October 2009.
However, instead of product demonstration, he collected the entire amount of Rs. 2000 (Invoice no.IS09/[protected] promising to come the next day for demo after filling the water for a day.
To my surprise the same is untrue and I feel I am being fooled & my money is being wasted as Water is found to be unfit for drinking as it is having salty taste and odour. I understand we have been supplied salty water in our area and this model – PURE IT is not meant for our area. Instead, I suggest that a model suiting to our requirement (keeping in mind the saltiness) be provided.
After constant follow up their higher officer visited my house along with Mr Manjunath last month, verified the same and promised me to take back the faulty machine and refund the money. Thereafter, repeated calls to their distributor (Mr Manjunath) has not yielded any result and he don’t even pick up my calls.
Such careless attitude of their distributor towards the Customer is definitely disturbing and I have no option but to seek their intervention in resolving the issue.
I must admit, their distributor has found a novel way to increase their revenue from unsuspecting customers,. However, the ingenuity does not confirm the ethical business practice, which a company of their repute should pursue.
Their purpose should not be of increasing Customer’s strength, but giving valuable services to them as well .
I now eagerly look forward to their response,

HUL Pureit — FAULTY KIT
Dear Sir/MadamI have purchase a PUREIT on 05/04/2009 in Jaipur (ref customer ID[protected]).
That time it was told to me by your executive that the battery kit purifies 18000 liters water and after that I have to buy new kit, my daily water uses is approximately 7-8 liters but after 3 months the PUREIT stops working and I called the help line.
After examine I was told that the battery kit need to be replace.
It is only 3 months old system and not even purify 800 liters water(7-8 liters per day) how can it fails so early but no body was able to resolve my query and at the end I purchase new kit by paying Rs 365 on 15/07/2009 from your executive only.
In 15 Nov 2009 again the PURIT stop working and not even use for 3 months.
In last 7 months my PURIT taken 3 kits and I don’t know what your claims of 365 days is in normal condition.
My family includes my wife and 2 small kids and per day uses can not be more then 7-8 liters per day.
It is clearly indicates that PUREIT has cheated me by claiming 365 days working of battery kit.
Kindly look in to it and resolve the issue
