We have bought a samsung 40inch LED TV on[protected], for Rs 58500/-
Within 3 yrs, approximately since January 2015, the screen started to fade and a patch appeared on the left hand side corner.
On querying customer care, they have informed to change the complete screen panel at an approximate cost of 20000/-.
We are heart broken to know that a so much branded company TV fails to deliver even for 3 yrs, and the response of Samsung customer care to address the issue is less than satisfactory.
We couldn't go forward due to the huge cost. For 20000, there are lots of TVs in market which work for 3 yrs definitely.
Subsequently, the motherboard has failed since JUly 2015, because of which the TV automatically switches off and on by itself for every ten minutes. This would cost another 15000/-.
And I understand from SAMSUNG that the present TV model of D series has become obsolete and many customers have faced this type of problems.
Hence, I request for a free service of same or refund the money to the tune of the repair cost from SAMSUNG who cannot even provide a product which can function for even 3 yrs.
FOr a middle class person, having a 58500 cost product fail within 3 yrs is a heart breaker.
Samsung India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
