This is regarding the sony wayo laptop i have purchased from Himayatnagar showroom last year in May. It is still under warranty.It was working fine only for two months after purchase and started dissipating lot of heat and also loud noise continously while working.Last week i have given it for servicing and they said it would be fine now.But i find no change in the problems.Also,battery backup is really hopeless and doesnt long for more than half an hour when fully charged.This seems to be like a laptop used for 5 yrs, but nothing like a new one.Hopeless service from sony.

    I purchased home thethre from M/S. PANAVISION TELEVIDEO PVT LTD ON 16/10/2009. from 01/02/2012 system showing error so as per advice from above shop i call one service centre i.e. M/s. Focu Point Electronics. One engineer came and say that require servicing but service given at their service centre and estimated charges given of Rs. 2000/- on 10/02/2012 job no. 10/02/2012 but till date no phone and system return. In service centre one Mr. Jani is there who is incharge so i contact his mobile no. [protected] and [protected]. He replied me that estimated amount increase from 2000 to rs. 6500/- after 3 months. It is way to service given by sony centre.

      I am owning VPCEA23EN laptop and i am facing the hard disk problem. It was working fine. All of a sudden the blue screen of death came and after that its not booting at all. I have all my data lost. I m too frustated. Very worst laptop ever had. Who will bare for my loss?I had used Lenovo, HP and found it much better. I got that on June 2010. I have Sony TV, Home theater. Even my car stereo is Sony. I had lot of trust on Sony. But now
      I am fooled easily by Sony Corporation.The lifetime of the laptop is just 2 years, and for that i had to pay 42k. It makes me to think about all the other investments in Sony and my future plans to buy Sony Products.

      Lenovo/laptop — HARD DISC GOT CRASHED

      I had pruchased a lenovo laptop Model 3000 Y410 T5750W41024160PW1b77579RQ, No 59014744 , Serial No EB08950353 ,in August,08 . On 16th JAN,10 i.e within 16 months of purchase - ONE FINE MORNING after working on the laptop for 10 minutes, it failed to take any command and BLACK SCREEN appeared and my laptop got hanged. Called lenovo center and then it was send to Guwahati Lenevo Centre at Ulubari .Today I got back my laptop with replacement charge of Rs 2900/- for harddisc. Alas, I LOST ALL MY PRECIOUS MEMORIES, IMPORTATNT DATAS - I WONDER WITH THE QUALITY OF LENOVO LAPTOP.- IT IS NOT AT ALL RELIABLE.

      As a valued cutomer please tell me how I can get back my LOST DATA/ INFORMATION - THE ORIGINAL HARD DISC I COLLECTED BACK FROM YOUR SERVICE CENTRE , GUWAHATI.

      ALSO PL WAIVE OFF REPLACEMENT CHARGE OF HARD DISC I.E RS 2900.I

      hi Rajarajan, what you did with your laptop then??? are you using it with another new hard drive yet, one of my friend also faced same problem with hard drive crash all of a sudden while he was playing some game. please lemme know the position of your laptop as i think its useless to put another hard drive in it and use it further, who knows if it will again crash... please email me if you have time, i appreciate!!! at [protected]@gmail.com

      Eventhough I faced same problem OF "OS NOT FOUND " & BSOD (BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH)
      I also visited the SONY SERVICE CENTRE where Those INEFFICIENT People told me it that it WAS SOFTWARE PROBLEM.

      BUT SONY PPL did not tell me Actual Cause of both the problem. (No Assurance that problem will be solved.) ??

      BUT with the help O[censored]K EXPERTS (COMPUTER GRADUATES FROM UK),

      I came to Know that there is NO HDD Detected .(It was HARWARE PROBLEM).Sony is CHEATING its Customers

        I purchased a Sony 32”LCD TV (Model KDL-32CX520) on[protected] for Rs. 28,200/-. The protection glass over the LCD screen developed a crack during transportation. I brought the set to a local Authorized Sony Service Centre (ASC), M/s TECH SHOP on[protected]. After checking the set, the service person let me know that the set will not get warrantee coverage as it was not a Sony India sourced product (though I showed the retail invoice/cash memo). However I requested the ASC people for an estimate for the cost of repairing. The service person obliged with a printed estimate which was a whopping Rs. 10,382/-. This included cost of complete replacement of the LCD Panel (LCD Screen plus Protection glass). But the LCD Screen of my TV was intact and perfectly working and no question of changing that should arise. I wanted to take back the set without servicing. But the ASC released my TV only after receiving Rs 662/- (tax included) as labour charge. Then on[protected], I brought the set to another ASC, M/s C.P. Enterprise. Here also the case was same. The service people would replace the whole LCD panel as Sony Company does not provide the protection glass separately for replacement. Since I suffered for a lot and wanted to end the bitter saga of viewing a cracked TV, I bowed to the demand of the Sony Service Centre and got the TV repaired after paying Rs. 10,513/- (the cost of LCD Panel is Rs. 9,839/- plus labour charge Rs. 674/-).
        My points are: 1. Why the first ASC, M/s Tech Shop charged me the labour charge for just giving the estimate? 2. Why Sony makes the consumer pay for parts which he does not need, thus increasing the cost burden many fold? In my case, had Sony replaced the protection glass only, the repairing cost would have been just a fraction of the total bill. Are these not instances of consumer rights violation on the part of Sony India?

        Sony India — POOR SERVICE COSTLY PARTS

        I would request you not to buy a sony product ever as they have the worst service costly parts and design defects. I had bought a very expensive sony TV . They have changed the part thrice charged more than 17 thousand rupees and it goes burst after every six months .

As per the technical report received from the service centre, since the LCD panel of your set has been found damaged due to external clause, rectification of the set is chargeable. Accordingly, the service centre has charged for the spare as well as service charge. Also, we would like to mention here that there is no protection glass, it is imbibed with the LCD panel & accordingly the estimate for the panel has been given to you. We assure you that since you have already paid the service charge, you need to pay the service charge again for rectification of the set for this time. Also, the LCD panel will have 12 months warranty from the date of delivery of the rectified set to you. For any further assistance, please feel free to contact you. Assuring you of our best services & support always.

        My reply was as follows which was never answered
        Dear Sir/Madam,
        Thanks for your response. But my concerns are not adressed yet. I was made to pay labour charge on two occassions. First I paid Rs. 662 at M/s Tech Shop, Guwahati-3 where I just collected the estimate on[protected]no servicing was done). Then I paid Rs 674 at M/s C.P. Enterprise when I submitted the tv for repair on[protected] and took the delivery on[protected]. Please check the vouchers thoroughly.

        Secondly, yes, there is no protection glass in the lcd tv. Actually there is a a very thin lcd screen which is fitted to the bulky lcd panel assembly. And it is possible to detach and replace the lcd screen from the panel assemly. In my case, since only the lcd screen is cracked, there was no point changing the whole assembly, which was perfectly working. Had only the faulty lcd screen was replaced, the cost of repairing would have been much less. So I understand, as the monopoly player with respect to Sony product servicing, by not supplying what is exactly required for servicing, Sony India has indulged in an activity which is against the interest of the consumer. Instead Sony India is compelling customers to pay for parts which are not required which is not fair.

        Hence I request you to take necessary steps to resolve my grievances at the earlist.
        The last communication from my side was on 15th May. Then I filed a complaint through Consumerdaddy.com on[protected]Complaint No. 10857). Sony India chosen to ignore this complaint also and as a result, consumerdaddy.com put the status of the complaint to unresolved status and downgraded the consumer satisfaction level by 10%.
        You are a non technical person and that is why arguing on this issue. The LCD panel comes as a whole unit and that is a standard practice for all manufacturers because only the thin LCD glass without back-light frame cannot be safely transported and installed. The cost of this LCD glass is about 80% of the total assembly of LCD panel.
        I want to know this from Sony India only. Let them give the exact break-up of the cost of the LCD Screen and the Back Light Frame. If orangzeb.uop is to be believed, I was made to pay Rs. 2000 unnecessarily extra by Sony India just for the Back Light Frame, which was meant only for facilitating safe transportation of the fragile LCD Screen! Is this not a glaring example o[censored]nfair and monopolistic trade practices adopted by the TV manufacturers including Sony India in the name of technical reason? Is it a mere coincidence that the member oranzeb joined the forum; the same day written the post favouring the Company and negating the complainant as non technical person? Though being an engineer by profession myself, I believe the point of technical/non technical should not be raised when a consumer raises his/her concern in respect to an injustice meted out to him/her.
        With respect to the second issue, i.e. Sony India's Service Centre M/s Tech Shop charged me the full labour charge just for giving the estimate for repair, by not saying a single word in this matter, Sony India simply adding fuel to the rampant corrupt practices in its Service Centres.
        I agree with skakati. It seems orangzeb. uop, who is a self styled 'technical' person, is either directly related to Sony India or any other company dealing with TV manufacuring who are cheating the poor consumer by charging for parts not required for the repairing. After getting the information that the back panel cost is 20% of the total LCD Panel cost, it is clear that Sony India had charged around 2K bucks extra from the consumer for the sack of safe transportation of the LCD Screen, which is most unfair. If the company concerned has any different view, they should contradict this with exact data. Further I protest the idea of orangzeb of terming a consumer technical/non technical when he/she raises concern in respect to an injustice meted out to him/her.
        Again the act act by Sony India's Service Centre M/s Tech Shop for charging full labour charge for just for giving the estimate for repair is a blatant violation of consumer rights, and a finger of accusation can be raised towards Sony India for not taking any stern action against the service centre, which in other words simply adding fuel to the rampant corrupt practices in Sony Service Centres.
        I am grateful to bboruah for the kind words of support to my complaint. But I think, the first comment, which might be a result of typographical mistake on part of bboruah, may create some confusion that it is me only who had written this comment in the name of bboruah. I would like to clarify that, I skakati, is no way responsible for any comment by any member on my complaint against Sony India.
        I regret the typographical mistake in my first comment. However I strongly stand by skakati's side as I myself is also a victim of big company's unfair trade practices on many earlier occasions.
        From the the words of the 'technical person' oranzeb.uop, who is most likely an industry insider, my conviction that I was made to pay an excess amount which is not less than Rs 2000/- was vindicated.
        The first time when I went to M/s Tech Shop, the lead person of the ASC brazenly declared the three guidelines followed by the ASC (Authorised Sony Centre) to me. First, though they would charge the full estimated cost of Rs.10, 382/-, the replaced LCD panel would not be a brand new one, i.e. it would be a repaired piece! Second, the replaced Panel would not carry any warrantee, only one months' labour warranee would be provided. Last but not the least, the ASC would retain the faulty LCD Panel. This amply makes clear the rot in the Sony Service Centre. This way, Sony India collects the intact parts from the customer (the Back Light Panel in my case), refurbish/refit the same and sell it at the price of new!

        I purchase a Sony Bravia TV set from e-zone Senapati Bapat Road Pune.
        I received the delivery on 27th Nov 2013, your technical support & installation was supposed to be available on 28th Nov 2013.
        My Service Registration ID is 16853810 it is assigned to Telecare; ADC - Pune .
        But it is not installed yet, waiting, want to know why so much delay & when it will be installed?

Service Engineer has come on 11.01.2015 and examined my TV and observed that PANEL Problem and this will change. The cost may be 14, 000 /-.

        Now my question, what is value of my money. So come to know by bad experience, every 2-3 years TV will be damage.
        What is going on ?

        Sony India — Angainst mobile phone

        I was submitted my phone from last 10 days but the will not be resolved. i am suffering from soooo much difficulties.kindly resolve my issue. Even they dnt provide me any standby handset for usage.

          I have purchased a laptop of Sony (Model no VPCSB38GG/B) from focus computers cochin,Kerala. Configuration of the system is good but the performance is poor. Processing is slow when multitasking(just 2 activities) is performed. Also the windows experience index shows a rating of 4.3. E. Also, sometimes blue screen is displayed while doing copying activity. Due to these reasons i had taken the machine to sony authorised service center. They had done even low level formatting of the hard disk but even then the system is not performing. But the sony officials are not accepting that there is a performance issue with the system.
          I don't want a system which is rich in configuration but has a hardware issue with respect to performance. I have asked them to replace the system, but they are not willing to. Please provide a solution for the same.

            Sept 24th 2009 12:32 PM - Submitted my SE mobile Handset W580i with Display Problem under Non Warranty class, at Pioneer Technology Services, Raipur ( Authorized Sony Ericsson Service Center )
            Job Card No SE[protected], Charge of repairing 1600/-, Time 15days.
            After 15 days - Set has some more problems need 15 days more , Charges also increased as 3500/- and was been agreed by me.
            After 15 days - Spare parts of my Handset has been sold with my permission as according to Technician Authorized SE Service Center, Finally requested me to grant one month more time yo rearrange my Hand Set.
            DEC 2009 - Pioneer Technology Services, Raipur ( Authorized Sony Ericsson Service Center ) found locked with a notice that the center is been shifted to Tara Computers, Raipur.
            Jan 2010 - as according to Tara Computers, Raipur - Pioneer Technology Services, Raipur has yet not made any handover to us and they are defaulters thus we are sorry to help you.
            Sony Ericsson Customer Care Status - On OCT 27th2009 hand set has been repaired and been delivered.

              Installation for my new Sony Bravia EX 41 42" TV.
              I called up Sony India on 28.04.12 at around 11:30am. The call was attended by an by the name of Ritu Priya. I told her that I would request some Sony technician to help install my new TV. I have not purchased the TV from India, but I DO HAVE ALL DOCUMENTS ALONG WITH THE INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY FOR THE TV. Hence I said I am willing to pay the installation charges and all other applicable charges for the same. Ms. Ritu Priya bluntly refused and said that Sony India will not install the the TV as it was not purchased from India. I asked her to transfer the call to her supervisor who could understand what I was trying to say. Ms.Ritu Priya said as it was a Sunday there was no supervisor/manger on the floor hence the call could not be transferred. I am immensely irked by the girls attitude and non-willingness to help. I wrote to Sony India the same day, narrating the incidence, but in vain. Till now I have not received any reply.
              This is the last thing I would expect from a company of Sony's repute. Can anyone please help.

                i purchased my sony cyber shot camera bt its lens dint work after few months so i hav given for repairement to Patna based sevice centre. unfortunately cervie centre made job sheet paper telling its out of warranty even we showed our warrranty card, invoice. They hav charged full money saying out of warranty and took labour chrage and lens charge..... i hav compalined main sony centre delhi branch..bt i dint get reply from them ......
                in simple line i m cheated by sony comapany itslef..not by service centre otherwise they must hav to look into my case.....wen i will be reaching india..i wil file case against them in consumer court........bt i wanna aware all the public throgh this forum.....
                PLZ PLZ DONT BELIEVE SONY..... JUST BELIVE OTHER BRAND OR JUST TAKE ELECTRONIC GOODS FROM RELIEABLE PERSON.....

                  My Sony Ericsson Yari model mobile suddenly last few days not working properly, some of the buttons are not working and especially if i recieve a call by pressing recieving button, mobile got switched off, i am facing more problem. pls. respond. My Mobile number is [protected]

                  my name is rakesh a shah.my cell no.[protected].i am user of allmost every product of your compeny.i by cell phone k660i on 21-05-08.imei=[protected].but i am not setisefi with your product.in warenty periode i give more then 4 time to compeny service center for hanging probleme, one time for sppekar problem.but untile my cell phone are not working properly.in warenty time more then 1.5 month my cell phone are with your cervice center.now what can i do for my cell phone for work properly.plece replie me as son as posibal.

                  SENT A MOBILE TO THE REPAIR CENTRE AT SONY AND THEY SENT THIS BACK WITHOUT BEING REPAIRED AT ALL. I HAVE ASKED WHAT THE REASON FOR THIS IS AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHY.
                  THIS IS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THIS PRODUCT AND I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT BUYING ANOTHER PHONE FROM THEM EVER.

                  Sony Ericsson Yari Mobile — faulty piece

                  i akhil bhatia a resident of surat gujarat had purchased a sony ericsson yari mobile handset on 26/3/2010. on 25/4/2010 the keypad of the handset stoppet functioning.on 27/4/2010 we went to the consumer care center of sony ericsson there they took the mobile and gave us a job card after 2 days when we didnt get any response we called them they said it will take minimum 15 days to repair it..it was not even a month that the mobile was purchased there was such a big problem and the company is not giving proper response.i even emailed the company about my complaint but i didnt get any response. at the time
                  of purchase the company promises quick after sales services and gud quality but all of this is false i want my handset repaired or replaced in 2 to 3 days
                  please loo into my complaint and take appropriate action.

                  Same case with my Yari... waiting for over 25 days now! Ridiculous service!! There is no decency even to update the correct status... everytime I call they tell me the phone will be ready by next week... Money is wasted... What is the mechanism I can use to escalate? Is there such infrastructure available?

                    Dear sir,
                    I have brought a Sony micro vault USB flash drive(4GB) five months ago.It was with metal body as I thought.But
                    it was with a plastic body and it was not mentioned in the packet.After opening the seal,I saw that it was made of plastic.It is so brittle that it has broken now.It's worenty period is upto five years.It's model no is USM4GM/PC2 E 31300065 .
                    So I now want a solid body flash drive in exchange of that .

                      Dear sir /madam,

                      I have visited the Showroom of Sony India in Hoogly, Srirampore for purchasing a Micro Wave Oven. There was Sony sales personnel (Name Mr Biplab Banerjee) who was misbehaving with insulating languages me. Also pushing me to show other company Oven and also try to sell that oven.

                      Please take legal steps against this person. As well as put him away from Sony India company not only this company he must be through out and get lost against any other electronic sales personnel.

                            Please stop the program 'Kya hua tera vada' which comes on SONY Channel at 10 pm. This programs gives very negative feedback on in Married or Unmarried Couple. Thia show also can be related to some one's life. So request you to please stop it immediately.

                              I purchased a xperia x10 i , 1 year back. Just after an year, it got the mother board issue and somthing is burnt inside. I am stiill thinking what kind of board manufacturing Sony is doing. I feel like i wasted my 27,000 Rs on this mobile. It a waste product i have brought. And above all, pathetic customer care service.



                              I went for "Trident communications" 80 Feet Road,Koromangala,Bangalore. First of all the receptionist is rude and does not know how to speak to the customer. And the enigineer response was "Sir, i does not know what the problem is but minimum Rs. 3500/- you have to pay for servicing". I laughed, that when you do not know what the problem is, then how come giving a price quote to me. Anyway, i have submitted my mobile to them :-

                              They told that i will give you a call, but as usual, didnt called me. I called after 5 days, then they are telling "I sent to chennai, but i dont know the status". I am really frustated. Dont know what to do.



                              Mr. Anil Sethi, please help me. First of all, such a costly mobile should not be face manufacturing issue just after an year.. Now, it is not not in warranty (2 month back) and Trident guys are askning huge money for repairing.

                                Sony ericsson mobile (CK15i) under warranty, submitted at accel care center (SE[protected]), Vastrapur, Ahmedabad on 10 march..it is yet not done and after lots of phone calls they dont even give company's office contacts neither explain whats the problem and finally when will it be done. Very frustrating and annoying. I want either this issue to be resolved or want a replacement of my phone urgently.

                                  On 10.03.2012I recived sony ericsson vivaz mobile phone handsetts & I paid rs 10300 my order no. is 3602454 but when I opened it was defective display was not working . I complained immediatly but it is no response resolved. so pls any buddy do not purchase any product in this company
                                  bcoz it is totaly froud company...
                                  i brought sonyericsson on naaptol 2 mounth befour . but he send me difectiv mobile phone and 1year warrenty neaver accsepted.when i brought screen not work proparly and now screen is not working.my order no. 3465908

                                    hello sir I bought a Sony Ericsson w150i mobile on 24/07/2011 after a couple of months i started having regular problems i.e network ,camera, internet and almost all the applications i submited firstly on 7/10/2011 in service center (Mobile Care, Gandhi nagar) and they returnd me mobile saying that now its ok but the same problem occured again and agin and my phone almost evertime till now and till date i have submitted my mobile more than five times in service center and they every time gave back my phone giving surety of the solution ..but my mobile is having issues they had changed my mobile PCB more than three times but my problem is as it is and the behaviour of the customer care center is very bad they say that they dont have any responsibility for the surety of mobile solution they only have to submit the device rest up to compant and better to contact company .i have contacted the senior national level costumer care executives of the company for my solution but thers no solution for me ..they have replaced the PCB of the phone more than 3 three times and now also my mobile is in service center they are again returning me the mobile after repairing. every time they say that now there will b no problem but now i m very much frustrated with all this and the water is above head now .can u help me plzzz i have attached the details of the service center record dates and woork order in it..thanking U

                                      Whenever someone calls me or I call someone, I am not able to hear anything. It works fine with loud speaker or the headset(microphone).
                                      This is the second time this has happened with my phone. Last time when it happened, I had to go through a lot of hassle and get my phone to the service center(which was not easy to locate...), on top of that they kept it for around 20-25 days. I searched the internet and this seems like a common problem with this handset.
                                      I used to be a great fan of Sony Ericsson(my previous two handsets were also from Sony). But I am disapponited to say they no more provide the quality products. I hope Sony Ericsson would take some quality measures to retain it's customer.

                                        We have paid advance to Sony Dealer ( Kohinoor Tele Video, Dadar East) for purchase of Sony Handycam CJ260 basis the brochure as they had no display models on 30th March 2012. The product was suppose to be delivered on 31st March 2012. Since we had seen the model only on brochures, and post checking with friends, we realised that we should have purchased the higher version of Handycam with projector...PJ260.

                                        On 31st March 2012 morning we informed Kohinoor tele video person that we want to upgrade to the higher model and can pay the difference amount immediately. Kohinoor person has called Sony person a number of times to get the upgrade done and Sony India just doesn't care to help out the customer for exchanging the model before delivery of product. The product is with Kohinoor in sealed conditon and I have not taken the delivery and yet Sony India is not ready to help ugrade the product.

                                        Its nearly a week and even after a number of calls to their call center has been put on deaf ear.

                                        Sony only talks about great product, great service only on their website but if you buy one, you are in for trouble,

                                        i have sent an important product to newyork. it has been 1 week since i sent the article, the post office people here in hyderabad said that the article will be sent in 3-4 working days it was really urgent. why is the department not working properly??? if you cannont send it then why did u promise to?? if this department is not capable then dont promise such things and privatize it if this department is not willing to deliver what they have promised. atleast now please let me know the status. my tracking number is EN[protected]IN
