I took a Vodafone prepaid mobile number [protected] about 3 weeks before.I gave all the required documents, address proof , ID proof and my photographs. The dealer said the number will get activated next day. It got activated next day but in next 2 days it got de-activated. I can receive the incoming calls but cannot make any out-going call. When dialling any number, it says "Your prepaid card has not been activated". When I approached a Vodafone store for my problem. They said we cannot help you; contact the dealer from where you bought the number. For this problem I visited the dealer's store more than 5 times. Every time I come to know all verification has been done. The dealer calls the Vodafone people and they say everything is all right according to the system. The number should work, while actually the number is not working. When I check my balance with *140#, I get a message that the number has a balance of Rs.88.00. I have even switched off my mobile, took the sim card out and reinserted the simcard, but it doesn't help. I am really fed up now and would strongly recommend to everybody not to take any Vodafone number in future.

First of all vodaphone changed my tarrif plan from 20 p per minute V to V to 1 p per second, then on date 4 may 2011 i got recharged from a vendor for tarrif Rs. 118 so as my call charges again get back to 20 p per minute V to V .But my plan was not changed .I complained about it to the vendor but his voice was also not heeded to by the dealer.
On receiving this complaint if my tarrif plan is not changed then I will switch over to some other company. My phone no is [protected].

Our complaint is specific that, one Mr Pappu Yadav, residents of KAMAL KOTHI 5th LANE , PURANDHA DEOGHAR, JHARKHAND, 814112 had licensed his premises to VODOFONE Mobile Company for installation of Mobile Tower(Palm shaped from ground level ) in midst of residential area of KAMAL KOTHI 5th LANE , PURANDHA DEOGHAR, JHARKHAND When residents of KAMAL KOTHI 5th LANE , PURANDHA DEOGHAR, , came to know about this fact, they immediately objected the said installation and also requested to the said Mr Pappu Yadav. for termination of Leave and License Agreement and remove the Mobile Tower and also informed him about the hazardous effect of radiation, which is emitted from the said Mobile Tower upon the human. In spite of this, the said Mr. Mr Pappu Yadav, flatly refused to pay any heed to the said fact and evasively replied to residents of KAMAL KOTHI,PURANDHA DEOGHAR JHARKHAND that ”do whatever you want, I will never terminate the said license.
He has installed a palm shaped tower from ground level about 60-70 feet high which is highly risky and dangerous for near by building and people living in them. As you know that, it is general rule that, the Mobile Tower has to be installation 100 meters away from the residential area as the radiation emitting from the said Mobile Tower causes various effects on human body and worked as slow poison upon the human body. Vodafone has been advertising about their 3G extensively but according to letter sent to me ony 50 percent of their cell sites are 3G as of today. As a result i escalated the matter to their CMO, Mumbai circle CEO and their India Customer Support head and as a result they gave me 3G free for 2 months (MI1250 plan)

I wish to share this information with people on this group so you can also question Vodafone on why they are charging for 3G when they are not fully ready to provide the services across Mumbai. I believe it amounts to cheating consumers--when you advertise a service that is only 50 percent functional and charge customers a steep amount for it.

I shall soon be uploading the photo copy of the letter from Vodafone admitting that they are only 50 percent ready. In the mean time I suggest anyone using Vodafone 3G service in Mumbai and facing problems should write into appellate authority at Vodafone and ask for refund and free 3G plan till the time they make 3G fully operational across Mumbai.

Numbers to call: CMO Kumar Ramanathan-[protected]; Rohit Adhya, Mumbai Circle CEO-[protected]; Madhumati Lele, India Support head-[protected].

I am also trying to find out i[censored]nder the advertising federations regulations in India does this amount to cheating where you advertise and sell a service which by the company's own admission is only 50 percent operational. If anyone has the contacts for filing such a complaint please do let me know.

do let me know what vodafone officials tell you when you raise the issue with them. we could probably file a complaint with the regulatory authority trai and other relevant parties as a group.

i have spoken to your top executives listed here. why don't you put your explanation. why don't you post your response here.
I also having complaints from vodafone staff and the culture they all, from 198 (special customer care number) to NODEL office executives, if nodel office had so many compalints from different departments say billing, services etc.why they NODEL OFFICERS did`nt take some lawful eye on issues & put explanation here if they were serious about their company`s reputation there are so many to support DHAVAL VALIA & if they think only law notice can solve these problems started by their executive level to nodel office (which are goveren by company itself) then we customers also have an option to go for TRAI, CONSUMER COURT, ETC.and send lacs of so called notices.
              Hi Dhaval,

I am also a Vodafone customer for both their mobile services and for the 3 G services which had been resently launched by them.

I have also faced a problem with Vodafone & their executives. I feel that Vodafone being an MNC feels that they can get away with anything without even apologizing or compensating for the mental trauma and the loss i have had to suffer. Let them realize that this high handed attitude they have is only someday going to backfire against them. Please do not take your customers for granted.

I can't get into all the details but Dhaval if you plan a legal suit against Vodafone please let me know since i am also planning on filing a consumer complaint against Vodafone India. My email address is [protected]@hotmail.com.
Here's the link to The Advertising Standards Council of India
              http://www.ascionline.org/
The 3 G services of Vodafone cannot be called 3G if the end customer is not getting the right speed. I have only experienced speeds o[censored]pto 1.2 Mbps only for a limited time, at times even pages like Hotmail etc... take several minutes to load. I believe 3G speed should be atleast 3 Mbps. I have purchased the costlier 3G device which i guess supports speeds upto 7.2 Mbps. The 3G usb modem keeps disconnecting on its own several times during usage.

I guess Dhaval has a point if ony 50 percent of their cell sites are 3G as of today, then why should they be charging the customer 3G tariffs when we are experiencing slow internet speed. We can understand that some teething problems occur but it cannot be taken for granted that being a mobile internet service these problems can keep reoccuring. This 3G modem is actually much slower than even a Broadband usb modem.
              Dear Mr. Dhaval,

Take them on legally. This is one more opportunity for awakening Indians. You could lead this consumer movement. You are with in your rights so long as you are truthful. Take them on!!

Get more people to join you. Get the press involved. Call a press conference of Vodafone customers who have been cheated. What idea of customer service is this?

Network with people or friends all over India and organize a consumer movement in India. Take on these guys who fatten on your money and take you for a ride courtesy demagogues at Delhi who seek party funds and pretend innocent and unconcerned about these modes of conduct of the Telecom companies. The Governtment and Regulatory bodies need to take suo moto cognisance of these happenings and take action against these companies. This is their duty to the people of the nation but since they just got their money they choose to talk law to the people who have given the authority to govern the nation.

              Take them on!

              Regards,
              Ramesh

I have applied for MNP (mobile number portablity) on 7th of May and on 17 th vodafone rejected my application saying that code i have given is wrong, when cross check the code it is exactly similar to the code i have provided. Then i walk into the vodafone customer care centre, they are not saying any specific reasons for the rejection. Then the customer care person (Chinappa) said u have to go through the whole (painful) process once again to get the number portability.
Now i felt like just cancel the connection and take a new number with another service provider. What is stopping me to do that, is i am using this number for last 3 and a half year and given this number to lot bank and other companies for reference.
I suspect vodfoone is doing this because if they delay it again, i will have to pay one more months rental and all other charges for a usage of only 4 or 5 days.
Hope you will take some action regarding this matter and i do not want anyother persons to face this kind problem to number potability.

Vodafone disconnect my number for incomplete address verification but in realty they never do the address verifcation but sametime i receive monthly bill regularly on same address.

By conitinuous followup with vodafone care by telephonic, personal visit at vodafone store & even written communication with vodafone there is no use.

I would like to book complaint against vodafone with TRAI also , for there fraud in address veriification as they blindly give data without actual verification & make a suffer geninue user.

I am trying to change my caller tune to 'what makes you beautiful - up all night' from an hour. 2 of your Customer care executives told me to call up 573732 and confirm the same. But every time I go ahead - It says this caller tune is not provisioned for you! What does that mean?!

                        Address: Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh

                        Sir,
I wanted to cancel my postpaid connection [protected] & [protected],
When i visited the vodafone store at chintal, hyderabad the store incharge told me u can cancel after 3 months in order to get the deposit refunded, so i waited for 3 months and then went to get the number cancelled. This time at Vodafone store begumpet,
The representative there, processed the request and told me i have to clear Rs.174 to close it, which i paid and while checking the calculations i found that my deposit amount was only Rs.300 for noth numbers put together. I paid a deposit of Rs.600 for both numbers. The representative at vodafone begumpet asked me to take up this issue with the vodafone store where i paid the amount, i came back to Vodafone mini store chintal, I verified with the reciept i had, and after the talk with codafone store incharge, and i understood the amount was put into the pocket of the vodafone store incharge...
Now i went back to vodafone store begumpet and placed a complaint about the deposit amount issue, they said we will look into it and then get back to me once the issue is resolved. i wantd to cancel the account and Surprisingly they told me that i can get refund back only after 6 months !!!!!!!!!

I cleared unbilled amount (after deducting deposit amount) to close the account few days back and now they say only after 6 months deposit can be refunded

So i waited for about 15 days and then i received a call from vodafone support asking me WHY I WANT TO CLOSE THE CONNECTION, further when i verified, he said the deposit is now Rs600, and was credited to my account by vodafone store chintal (BRAIN POWER technologies)
as despoit amount 10 days back. I never received any intimation or call from vodafone though the representative told he would personally call me once the deposit issue was resolved and customer care would also call me.

I decided to take up this issue and went to meet the Grievance officer at Vodafone HEad office located in begumpet, Varun TOWERS.
In the conversation he says i should go catch the neck of vodafone mini store incharge to get the deposit amount back, and that the VODAFONE MINI STORES DO NOT belong to VODAFONE
(wow i wonder why they are using VODAFONE mini store, guess vodafone charges BRAND royalty fees for using the their name)

All the above said took about 25 days and in the mean time, my numbers are active and i was billed and the grievance officer asked me to go clear the unbilled amount and close the connection. !!!!!!!!!! i waited for 25 days for issues of VODAFONE cheating ME to be resolved and i was not informed for clearing of the bill, and when i dig into matter it was resolved, and above all the amount stolen by vodafone store guy from desposit, instead of refunding me it ws sent back to vodafone account, and in POSTPAID cancellation refund of deposit needs 6 months, so my money is GONE to vodafone, and above all i have to still PAY vodafone the unbilled amount for all this period.

I just left the numbers active without paying anything, and saved my time without roaming around looking for the customer SUPPORT which actually caused me loss of money and time. i am shifting my corporate account numbers all of them to other service provider. and i had a issue with my corporate account numbers and when speaking to customer care he told me after 90 days i can get back my refund. i.e 3 months and he is 200% sure about it and this rule did not chagne at all.

In SHORT VODAFONE does not have any customer support and what they do is CHEAT people, with just advertisements. They take money and still they want more before providing any service and over that NONE of the vodafone employees and the so called (does not belong to VODAFONE) Mini store people, know any rules or conditions and so they create their OWN rules as and when they want as per convenience.

And during this 25 days of torture, i found very interesting complaints especially on VODAFONE 3G, my simple advise to all, do not USE vodafone. (They are capable of raising Rs.2500 bill on a prepaid mobile which had 81 rupees talktime...and ofcourse you just end up paying money to vodafone and it will never END.. you keep paying paying..)

                        Regards,
                        PurnaChand

Why do u want to show that u want to help.
starting from the mini store to cutomercare begumpet and higher officials the nodal officer(grievance officer) all of them go about saying whatever comes to their mouth and why do u think anyone will even try to believe vodafone ???
VODAFONE cheats customers, especially it never returns money to people they are only interested in taking money from customers...

I tried to call their nodal officer(Sushma)many times today, she did not pick the call and reply me, There is wrong deduction from my account , they are saying , this is as per usages but I am not satisfy with their customer service team for the same.
I need my money back (250 rs.) which they deduct in wrong manner from my account.
One executive from their team said to me "We cannot pay u that amount"
Is it wrong to demand our money if somebody is doing wrong??

THIS IS A VERY URGENT EMAIL FOR THE NUMBER - [protected]

I AM UNABLE TO MAKE ANY OUTGOING CALLS BECAUSE VODAFONE DISCONNECTED MY OUTGOING CALLS FOR NO RHYME OR REASON

I WAS PROMISED THAT I WILL BE GIVEN A DIRECT DEBIT FACILITY. ON 15TH APRIL 2011 A REPRESENTATIVE FROM VODAFONE COMPANY CAME AND TOOK THE COMPLETED FORM FOR ECS SERVICE AS WELL AS A BLANK CHEQUE PHOTOCOPY. THEY ASSURED ME THAT THE DIRECT DEBIT WILL START FROM T15 WORKING DAYS - BUT LOOKS LIKE VODAFONE HAS AGAIN NOT LIVED U TO CONSUMER PROMISE

AND AS USUAL VODAFONE FEELS THAT THEIR CUSTOMERS ARE THIEVES - THEY WILL NOT PAY MONEY AND RUN AWAY - SO THEY START HARASSING BY MAKING PHONE CALLS AND SENDING SMS'S ABOUT BILL REMINDER'S EVERYDAY

THEY HAVE HIRED GUFOONS IN THEIR CUSTOMER CARE WHO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY TALK OR WHAT THEY ARE PROMISING THEIR CUSTOMERS - ALL MY CONVERSATIONS WITH THEIR CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVES HAVE BEEN HORRIBLE BECAUSE THEY MAKE YOU WAIT FOR 154 MINUTES FOR EVERY QUESTION YOU ASK THEM - ONE VODAFONE CALL RESULTS FOR 1 HOUR AND YOUR PROBLEM IS NOT EVEN SOLVED

My name is Sarfarazali shaikh and my mobile no is [protected]. On 14th of may 2011, at night my balance was rupees150. When checked in the morning ,my balance was -44-05rp. When i cross-checked with customer care, they informed me that i had used GPRS.
I m using an iphone, n to use a GPRS i need to take a special package. There is no ways i can use internet n i dont have any option in my set for internet.Later on i visited customer care store in kuvempu road, shimoga where i had to spend my precious time of 1 hr.Each n every minute counts for me where i earn 500 rp/hr. I met customer care executive SANTOSH. He didnt solve my problem nor he refunded my money of 193rp on that he wasted my time.
When i started frowing then he said its not done by me.My senior Rajesh will take care of that n he is absent. He gave me his number as [protected] and he called him.It was out of reach. If for their employees they r not providing network ,how in the world wil they serve us.
This was not the first time i have faced this problem. A week before that, same thing happened n they refunded my money after 3 days. Now when my account has been to -44.05 rp, i then came to know that this has been happening.I have no idea how much more money they might have deducted from my account without my knowledge.Till now my money has not been refunded n i m facing a lot of problems.I want my money back not only which was deducted but also the one which has taken away without my knowledge.

                                  Sir,

My outgoing calls were barred by vodafone without any warning message on Apr.27 at 8a.m. I had to keep calling the customer care in order to find out the reason for the same wherein after around a 120mins call , i was told that my credit limit had exceeded. I made a payment of Rs.1000/- after which my outgoing services were started , but only for 1 day. After this i visited vodafone center but they could not provide me any information regarding my billing details. My bill details which were sent to me on Apr.30, wherein my 21mins call to France was charged @ Rs.2100/- .

I checked the call rates via sms as told by vodafone, wherein i was told the rate is Rs.10 per minute for mobile. Also i visited vodafone store again on May.14, but they had no call rate detail regarding the code i had dialed and i was simply told that call rates were levied from France for my call and they can not do anything about it.

Today I contacted 198 again to confirm the ISD rates to France wherein i was again told that the call rates are Rs.10 per minute for mobile and on asking about the code i had called they had no information.

So, according to vodafone the number i dialed is a premium destination and ought to be charged at a higher rate, but they have no proof to produce.

I have wasted a lot of time , contacting customer care which is always busy and takes 40-50 mins to connect and also in visiting vodafone stores. My services are barred since last 18 days.

                                  Kindly look into the matter.
I want my ISD call to be charged at Rs.10 per minute only which is the rate that their web site shows and also provided on sms. They should not unnecessarily levy a high charge in the name of premium destination.

Since 24 April 2011, I have been requesting for the deactivation of my Mumbai voadafone number due to my relocation to Delhi. I was guided by the customer care representatives to send mail, I did it several times but in vain. I have been calling the Customer care regularly to follow-up but still my mumbai phone no. is not deactivated. This is really pathetic and annoying. I would like to bring it to your notice how discomforting they have been and strict action required.

My mumbai no for deactivation is [protected].
