I have customer to ACT since many years and earlier i had 5mbps connection which had 25 GB FUP. But i never had a shortfall of FUP until last month of the my six months plan and that too only on 25th of the month. So now in month of August i have shifted to 25 MPBS speed (A-MAX 650) connection. To my suprise the FUP limit got over in just 10 days only. When i am asking detailed report they are not sharing it and more over they were very rude over the calls too. I believe its high time to think about trust i had and request the consumer forum to help me in this perspective.

Also their technical team member name- Subhankar claims that there are no complaints on FUP limit in Hyderabad otherthan mine. When browsed there are many. Please take an appropriate action on them.

My city is Hyderabad and besides this i have called customer care many a times for correction in the data usuage, nothing has been done so far.

Until now haven't got any response. Could you please expedite the process, i am getting calls from ACT to clear dues though my account got suspended on 12th, they are demanding full money or face legal action. Could you please help me, i am afraid of this now.

    Date: aug 7th to today (Aug 13th) 2017.

    I've been a customer of act fibernet for about 2.5 years now. I found them to have issues on and off. Recently it has been really bad. My consumer id is 11010261.

    I raised a customer service ticket: [protected] on aug 7th at 8:00 am, complaining that there is no internet connection. I was informed that the router is not reachable and that a site engineer will fix it in 24-48 hrs. I was informed later that the router was disconnected because the person who had it vacated the place. This is bad in the first place considering that it is dependent on a non act person keep the act equipment in their place, which has no guarantees.

    On aug 8th i was asked that they would install the equipment in my place, for which i denied since i was not at home and without internet cannot work from home. I asked him to come when i am around at around 5:30 in the evening.

    Next i was informed that it involved drilling a wall and making some electrical changes and also allow act personnel in the premise to inspect hardware regularly which can be a safety issue if different people keep coming in. So i denied permission for that.

    On wednesday i was informed that they have to install it and they would make it non-intrusive. I said it can be done only with me around, since it involves wiring and said i would leave office early and come home. I left office early and came home, but the act engineer never came home. This was really bad, and next day i waiting until 11:30 and left to office. He calls and tells me he wants to come home.in the mean time the earlier ticket was close and a new one opened: [protected]. I told him that he is not meeting sla's and working around by closing and creating a new ticket. And strictly told him not to come home and i will disconnect since the service is very poor and there is no respect for the time i dedicate. I asked them to disconnect the service and customer care called back asking me to make an exception.

    I've received no calls after 9th. A new ticket [protected] was raised on 10th. Every day the ticket is updated to inform that the issue will be fixed today. But its 13th, i got the connection for 1 hour in the morning and the ticket was marked fixed. And the connection is gone again, i have re-opened the ticket and called the customer care about this. They have no resolution for the case at all.

    Act also had downtime w. R. T server on 5th which caused really bad connectivity on 5th although i received an sms informing me the issue was fixed on 6th. I could clearly see that the connectivity was poor on 6th. I could see packet drops, i had to change the dns server from act servers to google dns servers to get it working.

    * act personnel in question is very unprofessional they have no respect for time of the consumer.
    * act is okay with a ticket being closed without proper resolution and new one opened.
    * act has no slas and they have no liabilities if they have an issue for a long time and there is no compensation for this at all. The consumer has to bear with it.

      To whom it may concern,

      ACT Beam are thieves.

      I pay 7, 000 rupees per month for their quickest service and not once is the speed reached what they say they can provide me.

      Regularly the internet is down and they offer no discount when we have no internet for days lost.

      They are total thieves.

      The speed on the attached test was done this morning. I am suppose to be received 1GPS this is no where near it.

      They never reach the speeds they say then can provide, then offer no remedy when you call their complaints line. And that is when you can actually get onto them. They hardly ever pick up calls and their website has never allowed me to complain on line.

      Something should be done!

        fake data usage reporting by act fibernet

        My act broadband account #:[protected].

        Act broadband has been reporting fake data usage since may 2017. As a result our monthly quota gets over fast and we have to pay extra for their fup or flexibytes.

        Our data usage has been under 100gb for years, and then suddenly we have been noticing very high data usage reported by act broadband since may 2017 - and this does not match with our actual usage.

        I have registered for act broadband connection, i paid all the transaction amount of rs 1447, on august 2, 2017
        Since then there is no responce to anything, i have been calling customer care since 2nd of august 2017, they say we will escalte it and provide soln in 48 hrs every time i call.

        There is no responce to my mail. They send me app which i could not register with as user id is not registered.
        Even not responding to refind my money back. Feels i am looted.

          I actually want to put this message for all users who are planning to take or already having long plans with act fiber-net. Please be aware of act fiber-net fraudulent practices and policies which will impact your internet usage, connection and peace. I am a act customer for past 7 years and had always used their long plans i.e 6 month plans in Hyderabad. Currently my bill cycle is from April to September 2017.

          During last week of July, i need to shift to Chennai and so i called customer care to inform that i am leaving Hyderabad and so to shift my connection to Chennai and requested them two things A) Move my connection from Hyderabad to Chennai B) Since it is July last week and i have still 2 months o[censored]nused internet, either issue a refund o[censored]nused internet for 2 months or keep the amount in the internet account, so when the guys provide me new connection in Chennai, they can utilize the amount.

          The initial response from customer care on July 27th is the refund is never possible with act fiber-net for whatsoever reason. This is really staggering because they sell a year long or more than that plans. so beware of taking long plans from act fiber-net, because there is a high possibility of they fooling you when they sell them and say they will refund for non-usage. Second is they are multi city operator operating in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore etc and they cannot transfer connections at all. Process is to quit connection in one city and take a new connection in the new city. so whatever login details, phone number, contact details you provided to them to login the internet stands non-carried. After few minutes of conversation, the customer care rep agreed to create a ticket for keep the unused money in the account itself.

          On August 1st, the Chennai team of act fiber-net visited my location to give me a new connection, but i told them to connect with Hyderabad team regarding non-issue of refund of internet money and asked them to use the same amount and by adjusting the money in new bill and forwarded the ticket numbers regarding refund expected from Hyderabad. The Chennai team took all the details and called me back saying they communicated with Hyderabad team and awaiting response.

          On August 2nd i suddenly saw that my ticket is closed saying it is resolved.

          On august 3rd again i called customer care and spoke to them and repeated entire stuff again and again a ticket is opened. The Chennai guys kept calling me everyday to confirm if there is any update to the story and what baffled me is they are just there sell a new connection, but are not willing to talk much to Hyderabad division. Since they work for same company, minimum expectation is they can escalate within themselves faster and can reach a solution. But trust me, the Chennai guys just kept calling me only to sell and but not solve problems.

          The story continued same way and act closed my ticket as resolved on august 6th without moving a inch on the issue.

          Again i called them on august 7th to enquire why was ticket closed when there is no communication to me or Chennai team on the issue, a new ticket was launched same day

          On august 9th, when i called customer care, i really have to blast them, because my patience start to end and the guy who spoke to me gave me a promise that issue will be resolved in 24 hours. This is after i told him, i dont care about act anymore and i am going to sell the 2 month connection to someone in Hyderabad itself as i dont have any trust with Hyderabad act team anymore. But the guy kept saying give us 24 hours more and sure this case is solved.

          But to my surprise, the ticket was closed on 10th august after moving the account as "HOLD". I re-opened the ticket through app and called the customer care again. I asked them why ticket was closed and the rep coolly said, your account is going to be disconnected. I was like okay and finally they agreed to disconnect after long fight of 2 weeks. The reason they told why they take so long is they are waiting for billing period to come. Awesome is it! if you want to close your account on 1st week of billing cycle, you need to wait three weeks more.

          I said fine and asked about refund or transferring money to Chennai account, for which i got one straight forward answer- sorry sir, we cant issue refund and neither transfer possible. All we can do is we can keep the balance in your account and whenever you shift back to Hyderabad you can use. I was like what the hell is that? who knows when i will back to hyderabd and after how many years? why i need to be back to Hyderabad just to use the internet? and what stupid policy is this? why cant they simply transfer 2 months internet activity to new city we move? these guys simply told there is no provision for all these and repeating same blah, blah, blah.

          So after fighting 15 days, they are again back to box 1 saying they simply cant do anything and literally told me to come back to Hyderabad to use the internet. Actually i would have shared the internet username and password with anyone of my friends and took the money and would have happily moved to Chennai. But these guys kept me on hold for 15 days promising me something that can happen and finally failed me.

          Now all i did at the end is, called customer care to stop the cancellation and given my internet for my friend who can use there. Now i also decided to not take act connection in Chennai because of the worst experience they provided. Three, will share my experience in every portal and make other customers of the cheating and fraudulent policies of ACT.

          Please be aware of long term plans of ACT, if you will be moving out, go for a monthly plan and second thing if you have a issue with ACT, switch to different internet provider, ACT customer care is the worst service you will see in industry.

          Note: I have given a service request for 14k one year plan with Chennai team and i am going to cancel that and take a different internet provider. For ACT this is not much a impact, but this case will be highlighted in different forums to showcase ACT's customer delight.

              I have requested for permanent disconnection of my ACT internet connection. On successful submission of my request, I was asked to pay the revised bill of Rs. 787/-, which was generated on pro-rata basis. I was informed about this amount of Rs. 787/- from the ACT executives in-person. And, the executive had said that he will be updating the ACT office of the pro-rata bill amount. So, I paid Rs. 787/- on 29th July, 2017, for which I received an acknowledgement of the payment made.

              Later, the executive called and asked me to call the ACT customer care and raise a dis-connection request myself.

              On 30th July, I made a call to ACT customer care. I was made to wait for more than 10 minutes before I was heard by the customer care executive. And a ticket (# [protected]) was created to close the internet connect. This ticket was successfully closed from ACT's end and I got a confirmation for the same on 2nd August, 2017.

              After the connection being closed and the revised bill was paid, again I got a new bill of Rs. 1160.88/-, on 3rd August, 2017. Immediately, I made a call to the customer care asking why the bill has been generated, when the connection has been closed and revised bill amount paid already. The customer care executive confirmed that no amount need to be paid, and I got a ticket#[protected] for the confirmation.

              Later, on 8th August, 2017, I was another revised bill of Rs. 168.50/- and asked to pay by 15th August, 2017.

              Now, ACT is not answering why Rs. 168.50/- need to be paid, when I have closed the connection and I have already paid the revised bill. This has caused great discomfort to me. Why should I be penalised and bear the loss incurred by the fault/delay from ACT's end? ACT delayed in disconnecting my connection.

              I want this problem of mine to be resolved at the earliest as it has given me lot of trouble. Its very difficult to reach out to the customer care executives, it takes more than 10-15 mins to get the call connected. It is me, the user, who has to bear the cost of the unattended call time, when it should have the other way round.

              Thus, please resolve this issue so that I’m free of all these problems.

                I applied for new connection for act in bangalore on 31 july. And i still have not got the connection activated. This is pathetic service by act. The 2 hour installation is all myth. The documents were collected on friday (4 aug). There was change in telephone number. But that should not take 3 days of time.

                The installation was done on sunday (6 aug). But the username and password has not been provided still. The installation executive directs to the sales executive and the sales executive says there is no one in the office.

                The customer care is of no help at all.
                How long should we wait for the connection to be activated?

                We resolved the complaint by constantly calling to the sales executive to get the user details right in their system and then the installation executive to get the account activated. After two days we could get the user name and password. we only had the numbers of the executives and they helped after calling frequently.

                First of all I was not in town from beginning of this month and now you say my FUP is 50% consumed ?

                  I'm an act user from pallikarnai area.

                  Act is bloody scamming me. I have subscribed to an annual package of "chnact blaze 12m+free wif" which gives me 75mbps with a 250gb fup limit.
                  This 250 gb has gotten over within 6 days since the month began, 6 days!
                  Its currently showing that i've used 272 gb, 22 gb over the fup limit as of 6/8/17, which is completely fake.
                  This is just ridiculous. I've contacted act previously and they said that they'd call about this problem, but the call never came.
                  Below i've shown some screenshots my internet "usage" according to act.
                  So for the only notable download i've done is a file of around 16 gb and nothing else.
                  My grandparents only use youtube, whatsapp or facebook.

                  So i have no idea what warrants these ridiculous numbers

                  There are many examples of this fraud pulled by act in the given screenshots above. Its always a lot of data usage during the span of exactly 4 hours.

                  This is clearly a bot eating my fup from act's side. There is no other explanation.
                  My router dir-816 was also given by act and upon many complaints asking if i was being hacked they assured no one is hacking into my router. So this is act eating my wifi and forcing me to run at low speeds.
                  I'm clearly being robbed by them.

                  I'd like to file an fir on act for this, could anyone help me with the procedure?

                    junction box not removed from my house

                    My id is 11102412. My internet has been down for 2 days. I've been trying to reach the only customer care number for registering my complaint with act broadband[protected]. This number is useless because it's always busy 24×7. Its better to shift to airtel which at least has dedicated customer service numbers. I've been trying for the past 2 days but the number is always busy. Once they set up the broadband connection the sales representative vanished without a trace. When it comes to providing service they are the worst service providers.

                      I have requested for relocation of my act connection to a new house which is hardly 500m away from the existing one, but they are taking more than a week to complete the request. They are taking more than 4 days just to check the feasibility test. Not sure what kind of test does take this much of time whereas the act routers are present everywhere near my house.in-spite of submitting the required documents multiple time, they keep on messaging me that doc are not submitted and will take another 7 days from today, basically they dont want to take the responsibility of anything and just blame customers.

                      They have not assigned any field person till now, and they are trying to complete my request by sitting at their desk.
                      I bet you guys, just raise a request for new connection and they will give it to you within 2 days but other services takes weeks and weeks.
                      Basically they care only about new customer and not the existing ones.

                      One humble request to all customers, just don't do long term recharges so that if you also face service issues from act you can stop using it and take connection from other service provider otherwise you will be stuck with this stupid act.

                        I have requested for permanent disconnection. They took almost one month to disconnect asking me to pay due amount even i was not used the internet. Later i payed the due amount and cleared there bill. Now again for july month, they are generated the invoice. Very very bad service. I am not able to connect the customer care as no one picks the call.

                        Also i have requested them to remove the junction box which is setup in my house. No one is turning up for this. One of the act guy visited my house and told some engineering will come and remove the junction box. Its been more than 15 days, no response from them.

                        I never expected these kind of poor response from the act. Very bad service.

                          This is really a joke from you guys, yesterday night i had registered complaint regarding non functional internet service and in morning i got a message from act that it will resolve by evening 8pm. But it doesnt happen and when i called to your coustmer care they informed me that it will take again 24hours. I mean is it a joke that for this interuption i have to wait for 48hours. And here just want to mention that my whole proffesional life depends on internet. With this issue i understood that act is also not trustable like other internet providers e. G., tikona.

                              This act fiber net people are frauding customers with the option of fup settings. Am using beam/act since 13 years i have much better experience about my usage and consumptions but now they people are started to telling that your usage is very high.. From my 1st fup reset last month only they started cheating me like anything.. They calculating my daily usage average 20gb consumption... If their calculations are right then what about my monthly usage?? It seams obsoletely fraud by act fiber net...

                                I am currently using act fibernet service in tambaram chennai. I am facing frequent disconnections and fed up with worst and pathtic service from act. I have multiple times coustmer support and no proper results. They are taking minumum 4-5 days every time for making it up. Which loosing lot time without internet.
                                Act is not the company up to coustmer expectations. I don't recommend to any one to go with act.

                                So i have requested for cancellation.

                                  I took a connection on 20-7-17 and i paid 8, 700/rs executive promised me that it will be activated by 23-7-17. But on that day it has not happened i called customer care they said they will take complaint and it will be rectified in 24 hrs. But it has not happened on 24-7-17 also again i called customer care they said it will be done in 24 hrs but not happened. Till date 27-7-17 i dint got connection... Please don't believe in beam cable promises they are in efficient to provide the services it's waste o[censored]r time and money by calling every time i suggest not to use beam cable...

                                    Last month i have paid money for railway ticket booking service & money transfer service to beam for my shop "sriganesheservices". Before paying money beam team member vikash kumar who coordinated with me, said within 3days money transfer service will be activate and within 5days railway ticket booking service will be activated. Till date both services are not activate and no response from beam. Vikash kumar not picking calls also later i messaged him i will proceed legally, then he called back and told will be done one day but... Its one month to go till now no activation and no response. Its leading me that beam is the not correct service provider and feeling getting they cheating

                                    Three months completed . I have paid money to Beam Money PVT LTD for the service railway ticket booking. Till now they not activated service or not returned money. I raised consumer complaint but not action on them. More over complaint closed.
