Dear sir,
Am a retired senior citizen. I took a act fibernet broadband connection/ act basic plan of rs 799/- +taxes per month on 09/07/2017 by paying rs 6160/- (6 month advanced payment) and opted for disconnection on 10/08/2017 due to personal reasons/ college semester exams. After repeated reminders it was disconnected on 15/08/2017 only., a delay of one week for no reason. My request to refund my balance amount due after usage deduction is pending till now, inspite of my several reminders and requests to their customer care dept / nodal officer / appellate authority in chennai. Without any reason they are delaying refund of my amount and none of the senior officers have responded orally and through mail also. Even my request to speak to their senior persons have been refused.
Am in need of this huge amount and their action is causing tension, stress and worry and am afraid they might cheat me totally. I even sent mails begging them to refund my balance immediately.
And now they are sending a bill of rs 492.60/- as my first month usage for payment, though my 6 month advance payment is still with them only.
Sir, as a telecom govt authority, i beg to you to instruct them (Act fibernet technology) to immediately settle my bills, without any further delay and bring justice to this retired senior citizen. And request you to take strong action against them for all these delayed services not only to me but also to several clients, as per consumer forum sites.

    I have complained to act about the disruption on the internet provided by them.

    Despite many attempts by talking to them, writing emails to them, the internet is not restored since two weeks. My security cameras are attached to this internet and this is a security threat for me due to lack of internet.
    Please find the message sent from them on 19th aug. Till now there is no response.

    Only after complaining via consumer complaints, my issue got resolved. Thanks for consumer complaints! However last month data quantity has been lost and most importantly the inconvenience and impact on my business.

      There is no internet since 3 days and there is no service.
      I have called up customer care multiple times and there is no response. Junction box is installed in my house and wire is disconnected but till now
      No body came to check this.
      Every time they they have the same excuse "fiber cut in your area".
      There service was good when they lauch first time in bangalore but its the worst service provider now.

        Junction box was installed in the month of may and i was promised that i will get discount of rs 50 in my bill with immediate effect. It's been 5 months i made multiple call to customer care, they did not bother to resolve. I'd create ticket thru app and they just close it. Can anyone help me resolve this issue, i need the last 5 months discount for the junction box installed

          My ticket numbere is [protected], [protected], no resolution still.

          This is to inform you that i am receiving worst service from act fibernet bangalore. I raised a complaint with customer care multiple number of times and have made several follow up calls and sent emails. There has been no action so far. I have asked for the issue to be escalated but nobody at act has cared. Nobody is available to talk when called their call centre almost 10 times since yesterday.

          Worst service provider. Have multiple tickets ([protected], [protected]) for a new connection. Paid the amount for connection on 12th august 2017 and haven got the connection activated. After a lot of trouble, i got the installation job done on 18th august 2017. They completely ignore you once the connection is activated. They ignore your calls and dont respond to your messages as well. Looking at the support level, i can see that the you are not worth being in the service industry. Very annoyed and highly disappointed with your services

          I have landed up paying bomb for this connection and during the connection i was informed that its a fiber connection, but it doesnt appear like. The speed is as pathetic as a dialup network. I compiled to act support multiple number of times in last 1 weeks time but the customer care number also does not appear to be connecting.

            Act is currently running a scam through mobile app and unfortunately, i fell prey to it. Mobile app showed a discounted price for the 12-month plan when booking through mobile app and once the amount is paid in full, they increase the total amount and send a new invoice. Act is luring people into believing that the total cost is less and then they charge more. Moreover, they won’t refund my total plan cost even if i disconnect the connection. Total rip off. Further details below:

            Date: july 14, 2017

            When i installed the act mobile app, i was shown an offer (Screen shots attached) for 12+2 months act plan for rs.15588.00 and i selected the offer and it took me to the next screen where it showed rs.17553.32 with taxes. So, i paid the money in full. Then a week later, i saw a balance of of rs1993.36 pending. When i called the customer service, they said that they had charged rs593.36 monthly rental for the initial 16 days till my annual plan was activated and rs.500 for installation charges. But to my surprise, the total plan cost went up in the invoice from 17553.32 to rs.18, 393.84. When i contacted the customer care representative, he said there must be a mistake on act’s side and i’m required to only pay rs.1093.36. But when the balance hadn’t changed, i contacted the customer care 3 other times but in vain. The last customer care representative whom i spoke to, conceded that there is a mistake on act’s mobile app which lure’s people to think that the plan’s cost is lesser than what it actually is. But he refused to send over the same information in writing.

              I have been continuosly getting messages from act fibrenet to reactivate my connection. There are no option on the sms to unsubscribe. I have written mail to their customer care, nodal officer, appelate but no response. I keep getting messages to reactivate broadband connection and also messages during festivities. I have told them that i no longer stay in bangalore and i dnt want their connection. They keep on harassing me with sms. Please help in stopping these messages

                Hi team

                The executive had visited our place for the new connection booking, we had confirmed him that please check and let us know whether you can fix the new connection in our place or not he informed that first you will have to make the full payment and then only we will let you know.

                He done his all formality and he left the house, next day no one visited and after 3 days he informed that there is no ports all are full.

                It been 20-25 days i asking for the refund to he gave the email id : [protected]@acctv.in. The emails are bouncing and no one are there to refund.

                Kindly help!!!

                  My client number or user id for act broadband is[protected]. I subscribed to act broadband connection in the month of jun 17 by paying rs 4111/- vide sbi cheque no 08692 issued in the name of atria convergence technology pvt ltd. Cheque was encashed by the co. On 14 jun 17. Despite various complaints and reminders (Ticket no [protected] since 19 aug 17), i have not been issued with receipt for my payment. I need the same for further submission to my office for claim. Receipt is not available under 'my acct' option after log in to act website, though i was told by their call center that site has been updated. Company has only generated a fresh invoice whereas i have already paid the amount. Receipt for payment is not yet issued to me. Request provide me receipt for my payment of rs 4111/-

                    I took a plan with act. They take a downpayment of 7 months. They told me that all the problems will be looked after by them on priority if i face any issues. Initially the plan was working fine but very soon in 10-15 days i started getting connectivity issues. Internet would come and go. I raised complaints multiple times but all i got was a mail that we will look into it. Nobody ever looked into it. Now since more than a week there is no internet at all and iv raised multiple complaints but i just get mails. I want a refund of all my money as internet has never really worked properly and these people just take money at the start and then dont care about customers.

                    EVen after raising the complaint I keep getting mails that itl get fixed but nothing ever happens. I think you have an automated system to reply that we will look into it. I am highly dissatisfied with the kind of connection and behaviour. I have already paid the down payment and I have had to take an alternate connection to manage my work. I want complete refund of my money.

                      Hello,

                      I'm facing the issues with the act bangalore team. I have raised the request for shifting of the connection within the city, they have told that it will be resolved post the pending payment is made. And i made the payment, post that they closed the complaint saying the customer is not at bangalore. I have escaled to appellate and nodal officers as well, and these guys are more worse than customer care. No response from these also.
                      Whenever i raise the complaint, they are closing the tickets without informing and saying that repeated calls have received on the same ticket.

                      Waste of time and money to have the connection with the act.

                        I stay in an apartment in begumpet. Act has installed the box in our apartment without the permission of the association and running the business since 3 years. Many times we have warned them and last year we have removed the power because they were using common power and told them not to enter our apartment until and unless a document is made. But act taking the help of rowdies had installed the box and this time they had taken power from my flat and are supplying it to 20 residents. When questioned they are threatening. I asked them how come you have entered my flat and used my power to other residents when am not your client. They threatened and also told me to complain in police station. They told me that they have connections with all police officers and they also have legal officer who will look after everything. Now i ask in this open forum dear act, who has given permission to enter our apartment, who has given permission to enter my flat and supply power to others. Where is the safety for the ladies? You have tresspassed my flat and now you r threatening me. When i complained in the customer care, they have transferred my call to escalation team. And the person from escalation team justifies himself by saying that his legal officer will take care and also told me to do whatever i want. Now act i need protection from the police officer. Do not know when again act will use rowdism by entering my flat for power. Need justice... Till then will approach media, press, police and court.

                          I registered for an annual subscription renewal with act broadband in june 2017 by paying rs 14, 659 for the period until august 2018.in august 2017 i had to leave the country hence i requested act to charge at pro-rata basis and refund the remaining amount to me. At first they told me that a refund is possible, however a few days later they called me and tell me that it is not possible to refund the fee. Highly dissatisfied!

                          Very Tragedy happened in Hyderabad with act cable, water coming from inside cable and my router is not working bcoz water drops went inside my router. who will responsible to my router? very bad service, they dont care customers problems.                             Updates to ticket: august 21st

                            I reached act fibernet in facebook post this complaint and i been informed by a customer rep to find suitable friend or customer who is willing to take my internet and use them. What a worst and shameless idea. Are the customers required to go and beg in market to find customers? Shameless service from act. I am going to wait next 24 hours before reaching out to consumer court for asking penalty.

                            August 10th: i actually want to put this message for all users who are planning to take or already having long plans with act fiber-net. Please be aware of act fiber-net fraudulent practices and policies which will impact your internet usage, connection and peace. I am a act customer for past 7 years and had always used their long plans i. E 6 month plans in hyderabad. Currently my bill cycle is from april to september 2017.

                            During last week of july, i need to shift to chennai and so i called customer care to inform that i am leaving hyderabad and so to shift my connection to chennai and requested them two things a) move my connection from hyderabad to chennai b) since it is july last week and i have still 2 months o[censored]nused internet, either issue a refund o[censored]nused internet for 2 months or keep the amount in the internet account, so when the guys provide me new connection in chennai, they can utilize the amount.

                            The initial response from customer care on july 27th is the refund is never possible with act fiber-net for whatsoever reason. This is really staggering because they sell a year long or more than that plans. So beware of taking long plans from act fiber-net, because there is a high possibility of they fooling you when they sell them and say they will refund for non-usage. Second is they are multi city operator operating in chennai, hyderabad, bangalore etc and they cannot transfer connections at all. Process is to quit connection in one city and take a new connection in the new city. So whatever login details, phone number, contact details you provided to them to login the internet stands non-carried. After few minutes of conversation, the customer care rep agreed to create a ticket for keep the unused money in the account itself.

                            On august 1st, the chennai team of act fiber-net visited my location to give me a new connection, but i told them to connect with hyderabad team regarding non-issue of refund of internet money and asked them to use the same amount and by adjusting the money in new bill and forwarded the ticket numbers regarding refund expected from hyderabad. The chennai team took all the details and called me back saying they communicated with hyderabad team and awaiting response.

                            On august 2nd i suddenly saw that my ticket is closed saying it is resolved.

                            On august 3rd again i called customer care and spoke to them and repeated entire stuff again and again a ticket is opened. The chennai guys kept calling me everyday to confirm if there is any update to the story and what baffled me is they are just there sell a new connection, but are not willing to talk much to hyderabad division. Since they work for same company, minimum expectation is they can escalate within themselves faster and can reach a solution. But trust me, the chennai guys just kept calling me only to sell and but not solve problems.

                            The story continued same way and act closed my ticket as resolved on august 6th without moving a inch on the issue.

                            Again i called them on august 7th to enquire why was ticket closed when there is no communication to me or chennai team on the issue, a new ticket was launched same day

                            On august 9th, when i called customer care, i really have to blast them, because my patience start to end and the guy who spoke to me gave me a promise that issue will be resolved in 24 hours. This is after i told him, i dont care about act anymore and i am going to sell the 2 month connection to someone in hyderabad itself as i dont have any trust with hyderabad act team anymore. But the guy kept saying give us 24 hours more and sure this case is solved.

                            But to my surprise, the ticket was closed on 10th august after moving the account as "hold". I re-opened the ticket through app and called the customer care again. I asked them why ticket was closed and the rep coolly said, your account is going to be disconnected. I was like okay and finally they agreed to disconnect after long fight of 2 weeks. The reason they told why they take so long is they are waiting for billing period to come. Awesome is it! If you want to close your account on 1st week of billing cycle, you need to wait three weeks more.

                            I said fine and asked about refund or transferring money to chennai account, for which i got one straight forward answer - sorry sir, we cant issue refund and neither transfer possible. All we can do is we can keep the balance in your account and whenever you shift back to hyderabad you can use. I was like what the hell is that? Who knows when i will back to hyderabd and after how many years? Why i need to be back to hyderabad just to use the internet? And what stupid policy is this? Why cant they simply transfer 2 months internet activity to new city we move? These guys simply told there is no provision for all these and repeating same blah, blah, blah.

                            So after fighting 15 days, they are again back to box 1 saying they simply cant do anything and literally told me to come back to hyderabad to use the internet. Actually i would have shared the internet username and password with anyone of my friends and took the money and would have happily moved to chennai. But these guys kept me on hold for 15 days promising me something that can happen and finally failed me.

                            Now all i did at the end is, called customer care to stop the cancellation and given my internet for my friend who can use there. Now i also decided to not take act connection in chennai because of the worst experience they provided. Three, will share my experience in every portal and make other customers of the cheating and fraudulent policies of act.

                            Please be aware of long term plans of act, if you will be moving out, go for a monthly plan and second thing if you have a issue with act, switch to different internet provider, act customer care is the worst service you will see in industry.

                            Note: i have given a service request for 14k one year plan with chennai team and i am going to cancel that and take a different internet provider. For act this is not much a impact, but this case will be highlighted in different forums to showcase act's customer delight.

                              I am living in pune where there is no existence of act fibernet. Also when i left bangalore where i had act fibernet, i had informed them through mail of disconnection and change of city. Post that also i received multiple mails and receiving messages till now. For me it is intentional act to trouble me. Also necessary action against them should be taken. I doubt their data safety things too.

                                I have done the payment towards act new connection on last saturday, 12-aug-2017.
                                And i was told that i will get the activation of internet in 3 working days.

                                Now, today is friday, 18-aug-2017 and till now there is no response from the act team.
                                Whenever i call to customer care, i gets the response like we are checking with back end team and
                                Then later again no response no call back.

                                I thought act is a good isp provider, but because of this i feel i want my money back.

                                  I have already reported this issue several times and still the issue hasn't been resolved.
                                  Please give me a long term solution so that i don't have to report you every single time. Also i am sick of this issue happening ever month after 15th. I have attached the screenshot of speedtest. Fyi i have tried to rum many times and still speed is worse. I am not getting what i was promised. More over last month i paid the bill and still i was without internet for more than 3 days. I don't know why i am facing this issue. Thanks in advance

                                    I've been using this fibernet connection for 3+ yrs now. Recently i shifted my house and requested for a relocation of connection. I've been waiting for almost 3 weeks now, they have not given me connection yet. Every time i call up customer care, i get a new ticket number, because each ticket is closed automatically after 3 days.
                                    Finally i decided to exit from this hassle. So i raised a request to disconnect and refund my money, since i've paid money in advance for 6months.

                                    They said, they don't have the policy of refunding money. Anytime in future if i decide to avail their service, i can use that money.

                                    Now, neither i have a connection nor my money.

                                      Act fibernet not working since 10 days. Not resolved even after raising multiple complaints. Ticket no.[protected]. Absolute disregard from your service team and customer support teams. Even the nodal officer (Bangalore) mr. Naveen was disdainful and discourteous in addressing the issue. He out rightly expressed his helplessness in resolving the issue and refused to even provide a time frame for resolving the issue. They continue to charge everyday for internet which is not working since 10 days.
                                      Last resort is to approach the consumer forum.

                                        I have customer to ACT since many years and earlier i had 5mbps connection which had 25 GB FUP. But i never had a shortfall of FUP until last month of the my six months plan and that too only on 25th of the month. So now in month of August i have shifted to 25 MPBS speed (A-MAX 650) connection. To my suprise the FUP limit got over in just 10 days only. When i am asking detailed report they are not sharing it and more over they were very rude over the calls too. I believe its high time to think about trust i had and request the consumer forum to help me in this perspective.

                                        Also their technical team member name- Subhankar claims that there are no complaints on FUP limit in Hyderabad otherthan mine. When browsed there are many. Please take an appropriate action on them.
