Beware of Beam. Do you know the Beam is getting record complaints, on and average 7200 complaints per day as per their Ticket Nos. As per this data we came to know more than 7200 customers are facing technical problems and service. Practically in my case I have been facing problem since 2weeks and not getting solved by their Half Knowledge Service Staff. They are very prompt in taking payment, the same promptness is not finding service. I decided to comeout from Beam and looking for good and genuine connection. Can anybody suggest me to which one is best, as per some of my friends suggestion to take Airtel Connection. Is it OK? My sincere request is do not go for Beam Connection, who are interested in taking Beam connection.. It is Worst Service.- Well Wisher

    I am using Beam Cable Internet Services from past 8 months i used to have 786kbps Speed and plan was B MAX-600 later from past 1month they started providing 1Mbps speed on my plan when i ask them they said that they have upgraded there services for same plan charges. But after a month my speed has been changed to 512Kbps with out any intemation.

    When i called there Call Center Mr.Anil came in to the picture when i asked him about the plan changes he replys that some one has changed it. Later he tell that it is a back end team problem. And when i ask his Team Leader he says that he is not available......Time 22:55hrs-22:58hrs later he says that he busy with other call.

    And i expected Mr.Anil to call me back after he closes the issue...on there call

      I have paid 5500/- on 05.Jun.2011. They said it takes 3-4 days for the connection. Till today, there is no response and no one cares for customer calls. For every phone call we make, they create a new ticket and story starts again.

      I have asked for my money refund that I do not want this connection. I guess these people are collecting lakhs of rupees and cheating.

      A very horrible service and even after repeated calls and mails that Legal action will be taken, no one is really bothering.

        I had applied for a new beam telecom connection (this being my 4th connection) for my office. The payment was made(22nd June) 12 days back with a receipt in my hand. But since the very same day the technical team did not get back for the installation.

        I have been repeatedly lodging complaints and they assure us a time period of 24hrs wherein the connection will be installed by their technical team. The first complaint was made on 24th June. All there commitments have been failing repeatedly since then. The sales executive has not taken my calls since the day payment was made.

        Mrs/Ms Ruchi - The nodal officer was involved in this issue on 2nd July where she committed the connection to be installed by 4th July finally. They have failed yet again after 4 reminders given by me to the department.

        Is this some kind of a joke? They take an advance payment with a commitment to provide the best services and this is what we get. If there is any person facing the same problems please contact me I am ready to move to court for it.

          My Address is LIG 183 KPHB. I have paid 3300 foe a six months internet connection plan on 1st june 2011. I was first told that as there is no set up box nearby, it'll take 7 working days to get the connection. After repeated phone calls i got the set up box on 18th june 2011. I was again assured that the user id and the password will be communicated to me as an SMS to my mobile number with 48 hrs. After waiting for another 7 days i logged a complaint via phone and got a ticket number # 2454691. A person called up at 2 pm asking me if i am at home (inspite of me telling everytime that i'll be available only on saturdays and sundays). He said He'll call me in the evening by 7 and closed the ticket. It is Saturday today and there is no sign of any call or connection. On calling [protected], it keeps me on hold for minutes together without any one responding the call. I called up MANI, the girl who has collected cheque from me on [protected] repeatedly but of no use.

          I am left blind regarding Rs 3300 which i have paid a month ago.

            I have been using Beam Fiber for the last one year, I am very very annoyed with their service. Half of the time there would be no internet connection and when you try to call the customer service, you will have to be on hold for atleast 5 mins before you can speak to anyone. And after speaking with them the only thing they say is that we have registered a compliant, your issue will be resolved in 24 hours. Again the same story repeats itself after a couple of days. I want Beam refund my money, as they take the money in advance in the starting part of the month but they don't provide service throughout the month. Atleast 10-12 days in a month I dont have internet connection.

            For Everyone who is planning to take a Beam Internet connection, I would like to warn you of very bad service and not at all customer friendly behaviour.

            Even i am using Beam Fiber. I am not getting Internet connection from last 1 week. i am calling to customer care but this people will say we have registered your complaint and it will be solved in 24 hrs. they collect the money in advance. the better way to get our money back is on your terrace they will keep one Fiber modem box. just take that modem and keep it in your home. till they return your money don't return the modem box.
            This story is not first time. It’s the same experience every time i have for the last one and half year, BEAM support staff need either training or replaced with people having minimum human understanding.


             Ticket No: 9346011 (I logged a complain saying to send someone to collect the money long before the expiry date and mentioning clearly not to disconnect).

             The ticket was closed mentioning that the person came to my home and did not find me. I clearly mentioned that my home has network issues, so please call me before coming and if i am not reachable that means i am at home or else i will pick up the call and tell you when to come.

             So that means, the person who came in was dumb or the support guy did not update the person about the information because there is no point in randomly coming at whatever time and expecting me to be there without calling me.


             I raise another ticket: 9376896: This time i clearly repeat the same saying-please call me before coming and come directly to my place if i am not reachable over phone but try calling me first before coming.


            I also requested not to disconnect connection because i am running an online course which is very important and mentioned clearly on the call that i should not be suffering for your mistake.


             The ticket was closed, i escalated only by sending the SMS back and i explained the whole process again and again to the escalation person calling me in saying I will receive a call back.


            Nothing happens, I called again and logged another request[protected], same process, explained clearly that no one has called and come to house or called me to collect money.


             I escalate it again and the same old story and by this time i am sure, the support is dumb as well the escalation not knowing what to do next, waited and expected someone to call. Nobody called.


             Finally Beam disconnects and i paid today 5am in the morning waited long enough to get it activated.


             Called Beam support to get an update[protected], it gets closed without activation.


             I call again and another ticket[protected] opened. I spoke to Imran, Priya and Raj at different intervals and they read the script of 4hrs time stamp when it will be activated, even after i mentioned them its already past 16hrs it’s not done. They cannot escalate it.

             I forced Raj to connect to a supervisor but he said he cannot first and then he puts me on hold and comes back saying "He does not know his supervisor name and his supervisor is working on my issue which is caused due to a server problem"


            I asked if you don’t know your supervisor's name, how you know he is working on the server issue due to which I am facing the problem. Then he says he gets an offline message when he called his supervisor's toll free number. I was shocked to know that Beam has that kind of facilities to update their support staff about their supervisor's ongoing actives but cannot update supervisor name in the offline message. You know what kind of lie the support staff are Saying and trying to convince me that "they are just doing their job".

             I called the next day again at 12 PM and "Deepika" picks the call and tells me the same story (She appeared very new to the system and leering the not so good things), 24hrs from now and i wanted to speak to supervisor. She puts me on hold and comes back saying the same
            (Supervisor is busy resolving your issue). I thought wow, what jokers. I asked her supervisor's name, initially she tells she is not supposed to disclose the name to customers. I asked in a different way, now she tells, Its "Sohan" and drops off the call

             I raised 2 complains within 2 hrs. on their online portal knowing that it is of no use but still to test "BEAM at their worst".

             I called beam again and got disconnected twice. I called in the evening and got "Om Prakash". He tells me that my account is not activated yet. I asked "Why?” he said it will take 24more hrs. I said it’s been more than 48hrs and now you are asking 24hrs more whereas i am losing my online classes and my days. I asked for his supervisor and He disconnected the call.

             I called again and got "Azharuddin"(He sounded very old rat) on call. Surprisingly and contradicting the just previous guy "Om prakash" said "my account is active and there is some problem at my end". I said i am getting IP however after getting the IP it is redirecting to the BEAM page again where it says "log out if paid" or "Pay online". I told him that there is no issues at my end, its account issue. He started troubleshooting and told me that it’s my problem because I paid late. Wow! (watch the blame game without knowing the back ground)
            I asked to connect to supervisor but he did not saying the same old story "Supervisor is busy". He told me to send a technician even after i told him clearly that this is an account issue. He did not listen to me. He simply said 24hrs and to send executive.

             There is one more ticket created for the same issue[protected]. So basically they do nothing and keep on becoming robotic.

            Next day (today-): Call from BEAM- Sreekanth called me and told me that there was a hardware failure from my area box and many other customers reported the same issue which took time to fix. Sreekanth mentioned that it’s a known hardware issue and the hardware is replaced which took some time.

            I asked if it is a known hardware issue why "Azharuddin" was insisting me it’s a problem on my side and told to send a technician even after i told him it is not an issue from my side.


            I have not still checked the connection as i am in Office.



            All that above mental torture and shaking the peace of mind is not at all accepted at any level. And you can see my patience level and tolerance from the number of tickets i raised and number of minutes i spoke on each call explaining calmly what i wanted but all in vain. So the time spent with beam staff was not only a pain but it’s a suffering of time and money. So it really impacts a person's mental health and spoils days.

            Does Beam not paying good enough to the support staff or training the staff on how to really support? It’s really pathetic to see the kind of support staff Beam has and moreover they seem all not having the simple understanding of what
            They are doing and why they are paid for. I know for sure, if this is the case with me, many would have quit by now silently without having the patience to raise this issue to beam with the effort i am putting here.

              Hi,
              I got beam internet connection in February 2011. I got 6 months plan. That is I paid for 6 months at once.

              In first week itself internet didn't come for 6 days. With lot of difficulty I got it finally. Afterwards service was very inconsistent.
              In May 29th I relocated from Miyapur to Kondapur. I raised SR in beam before relocating itself.
              SR numbers : 2245529, 2375138, 2375110.
              They promised me that within a week they will relocate my connection. I was cool with that. But, even after 15 days I didn't hear anything from them. I started calling them, mailed them, raised many SR.

              Every-time I call them, they tell same thing. "Sorry for the inconvenience, we will solve the issue as soon as possible". Later nothing will happen. On 17th June they started telling they have already shifted the connection and they closed my service request. But there was no cable in my home. Today it's almost 28th day. I get same reply every-time.

              I asked them to give their manager's number. They refuse to give me. It seems they will call me once my 6 months plan gets over. I literally lost 2000 rupee for nothing. I couldn't work from home for 1 month.


              If anyone is planning to go for Beam telecom connection, my advice is please don't go for it. Till you make payment they will respond very well. Once you pay money they will ignore you if any problem comes in between.

                I bet that no one can experience 'THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE' that I was experienced from Beam Telecom. Beam sales person, took money from me for 6 Months and also for Wireless router (4300/-). That's all, for two weeks no one has responded to provide the connection. If I do a call for call center, my call will be on hold for at least half an hour. Finally my call got connected, I opened a ticket and next day itself I got a message saying that my ticket is closed even doing without any contact with me and providing the connection & router. Finally after a big fight like this for two more days I got my connection. But, still now router is not provided. Just now I tried calling the call center for the same. This time, there is no one to pick the call. After 20-30 Min, the line is getting hanged up with no one attending the call. Guys, Be careful while choosing this service.

                  If you are planning to use Beam for your Business then BEWARE!! Taking up Beam telecom is the biggest mistake ever made by our company. We provide IT services to Overseas clients and the amount of connection dropouts and Internet downtime is absolutely disgusting.

                  There was no power back-up on their lines so every time there was a power outage in the area our internet was down. Almost 5 days and 20 phone calls later it is still not fixed so I don't know how long this company is going to be open with service like this. In addition to this, we loose internet connectivity at least 2-3 times a week during business hours which interrupts everything from Conference calls to our VPN connections. This is actually getting embarrassing when explaining to our clients that we loose Internet connectivity 2-3 times a week.
                  All the Customer Care do it to get you off the phone as quickly as possible and you never hear back from them to see if the issue is fixed.

                  Hope this complaint reaches the Executives of BEAM Telecom. If this is the quality of service you provide for a Business Line then god knows how India is going to Advance technologically.

                    HI All,

                    We had pathetic and tragedy experience with Beam cable staff in Hyderabad at Venkatagiri, Jubilee Hills area to take new connection.

                    We applied beamfibre connection for home on 11th june, 2011. The sale person Mr. Susheel assured that connection will be given within 48 hours. We called him so many times after the given time. But he didn`t respond and not even picking call.

                    After that we thought of calling customer care @[protected] on 13/6/11 to escalate this issue. But there also irresponsible response from customer care executive saying that it would given within 24hours and logged a complaint number # 2350689, but no response for this ticket. Again we called and faced same story of 24 hours and logged another ticket # 2357283 on 14/6/11. Not even they respond this ticket. Again we logged another complaint ticket # 2340053 on 15/6/11.

                    We spoke to Jubilee hills manager Mr. Azer on 13/6/11 over phone, he said connection will be issue by 14th june, but no response from him.

                    Finally we came to know that to meet office directly at Srinagar colony office. We met Manager Shiva Kumar. We shocked with his response, he said that he can`t give new connection as they don`t have money to purchase new fiber setup-box. He asked me to wait for another 8 working days.

                    This irresponsible behavior we faced with beam cable stuff. Please anyone help me on this.

                      Hi All,

                      Please beware of availing internet/broadband services from Beam telecom In hyderabad.
                      There are frequent outages and its not at all reliable. At my home jewel beam telecom is internet provider, and it is high time to kick them out.

                      The technical team is not aware of issues. Their management seems to be pathetic. Their mode of work is adhoc, never trying to reach core of issue and fix the root cause.

                      Many people are not happy with their services in our society.

                      And corporate and residential societies, please do not deal with Beam Telecom for your requirements.

                      If i would have been their head of operations, i would have shown their team working at my home jewel, the door long before(fired).

                        I need justice. I did not get BEAM TELE BROADBAND SERVICES after paying Rs, 3,300 on 26th May'2011. My work got affected by Beam Tele.

                        Here is my pathetic experience with Beam Tele – Internet broadband service in Hyderabad. Here below are the details of contacts I made with Beam Tele Service. I can give more details, if you want to know!!

                        Yesterday, 06/06/2011, kept leave for work to fix internet issue with Beam, but no service/support except ticket registrations and closing. Mr. Sekhar, Sales executive shouts over a phone like “Why are you calling me” or “Talk to Customer Service”. What I feel is, he should respond to our calls till service start.                           I am one of the users of Beam Cable (Beam Tele); my account number is “130705”. I don’t have internet from last 3-4 days, I have raised many raising tickets (around 4-5 tickets) from last 3-4 days but they are closing the tickets without solving my problems. Overall I have very bad experience on this Beam Cable Broadband connection. As I have paid for six months payment, I am locked now, is there any way to return back my money? I want to proceed with some other provider.

                            i have paid 1600 INR to beam cable for new internet connection.those cheaters asked me two days time for installation.its been 10 days still i did not get the connection.when i call the operator who took the money was not responding to my calls.i had to call from different different mobiles to reach that stupid..when i asked for refunding the money those stupids are asking 20 days for refunding..they are not here to provide internet services but they came to cheat people.those stupids has to be punished.
                            they are literally they are very careless about customers they cannot stand on their words

                            My Package is BMAX1000- Speed 10 Mbps.As per the his fair usage policy 30 gb download limits.after30 gb download my speed will change to 2 Mbps.On august 9 2011 I see my usage its 10 gb.this guys change my speed to 2 Mbps.This jerk says u reach ur limits.pls beam cable users see ur usage.beam cable cheat us.

                              I have made payment of 2300 INR on June 02 to Bean Internet representative. But no installation has been done so far. The person who took the payment named Afroz [protected] does not respond to my phone calls. I have been lodging tickets with Beam customer care 2305334, 2293428, 2292635, 2288838, 2280949 every day but no body has taken any action on them. No one has called me so far to get the installation done.

                              The service from Beam internet is pathetic and i request you to sue Beam.

                                I have paid Rs.1800 towards a new broadband connection to Beam Telecom.(http://www.beamcablesystem.com/)A/c No 204937

                                I reside in D.D Colony, Bagh Amberpet-500013. I made the payment on 30/5/2011 and was promised that installation will be done in 24 hours. However till date no one has responded.

                                The customer care is so horrible that the sales representative does not even take my call.

                                Please look into the issue and do the needful or else I might be forced to approach Law enforcement agencies for justice.

                                I am facing the same problem. I also went for 6 moths subscription the marketing person Mr. Alikhan [[protected]] told that it will be done in 3 days. On third day I call him up and ask about it he tells me person will come to your home at 5PM no one visits same story is repeated next day. Then I file up complain with customer care [2582408] and the tell me we will get back to you in 24hrs. 24hrs pass by and no one calls back. I again try Mr. Alikhan and he promises me to call back in 30min but no one ever calls back. Many a times their phone rings but no one picks up and at times it is switched off to avoid customers.
                                This is ridiculous service and if this is at start what should one expect when they have our money and subscription for 6months.

                                  I took a broadband connection a couple of weeks back. The connection worked only for two days and it is down for the past 12 days. In-spite of numerous complaints to the ACT customer care, there is no progress in fixing the issue. Every time i call them they give a new complaint number as though it is a new complaint and they never track the old compliant number. I wonder why would they give a connection without giving any service wasting their time and my time.

                                  One of the worst services by the ACT TV service team, i have given complaint 3 days back and still the are saying that our service engineer working on the issue...some server problem, But when i told that my setup box is not working still they are saying they are working on it...I suggest every one not to take ACT TV connection in Babusapalya area...

                                    I had opted for a new Beam connection 7 days back and yesterday was my SLA for the connection to be given. I have already paid for Beam's 6 months package for which money has been deducted by Beam folks, but noone has even talked to me after the first day and there is no initiation of net connection at my home. I have logged at least 6 complaints since day one and none of which are being acted upon (all of them are open still with no progress). There is no escalation matrix, published on Beam's site and their call centre guys do not escalate the issue, saying they dont have a supervisor. The SLA's given to me are not being respected by the Beam people and the call centre guys are good for nothing. All they do is irritate consumers. I want my money back now, else I am going to the Print media and COnsumer forum apart from campaigning about this loot by Beam

                                    I am facing same issue. I paid for 6 months. The pre-sales person said new connection will be setup 100% on a time slot given for next day. No one came for the slot. And call center keeps saying same thing that they are routing to concerned department, without anyone actually calling back for the setup. Very frustrating.

                                      Hi,
                                      I have give 3300/ INR to the Beamtele on 15th of April and they promised me that the connection will be given in 10days. Today is 18th May and till now i didnt get the connection. I have calls to the BEAM office. they are telling "with in 48 hrs , you will get connection" .I dont know why they are LYING like this.
                                      I am totally dissatisfied with BEAM. I request others also not TO TAKE BEAM INTERNET SERVICE .
                                      Same is the case with me. Beam internet service is pathetic.

                                        Dear Sir

                                        I would like to bring to your attention the irregularities and negligence of Beam Telecom/Beam Fibre. My Beam A/C: 140256

                                        I have been associated with this service provider since October 2010. At first I am using their service Cable TV7 and subsequently started using the Internet service since 10th March 2011. In early April I realised that the company is charging me for a service which they called as TATA Centric Beam Cable Plan. It came to light on enquiry that the TATA Centric Beam Cable Plan is a landline phone. I have made numerous phone calls to them and made very clear that I never applied nor use the service and it's unfair on their part to charge me like that. As to the landline phone the customer care executives aren’t even able to tell me what the landline number is.

                                        As a result of my complaint they have made a reconciliatory adjustment of the amount I am being charged for the landline phone for April i.e. Rs 369. This adjustment is shown in their invoice for May 2011. But in the same invoice they charged me for the same service again for May (the fee to be paid in May) and the amount is Rs 223.23 (their invoice number: 1688913). Very clearly they made a note in the invoice for May 2011 that “cs not having TATA phone but bill is generating from feb 2011. need to waiveoff 369 Rs/-“ (their reference number for this is 2317006) which means that they are well aware that I am not having/using the phone. Still then they charged me for the said phone again.

                                        As a result of this billing dispute I am reluctant to pay the bill and told them that I will clear up the outstanding fees as soon as they rectify the figure (because in the online payment process you cannot pay a partial amount but you will have to pay the total amount as shown, which in my case the total amount is an exaggerated amount) so they even suspend my internet connection from 11th April 2011 to 24th April 2011 (they are charging me for full monthly fee). At some point out of frustration I told them to stop the services they provided me altogether. But on 24th April they revoked the suspension and restored my internet. So I started using the service again. Now for the month of May the same issue arose and I am a bit hesitant to pay again so they suspended my internet connection from yesterday, 12th May 2011.

                                        I called up their customer service to see if I can raise a complaint to their higher authority, (in fact after numerous calls to customer care executives and issue not resolved) the executive gave me an e-mail address ruche.[protected]@beamtele.com which isn’t even working.

                                        In my locality, only beam is authorised to provide such services and whether I like it or not, whether they provide good service or not I am compelled to use theirs only. I do not have much of a choice and it is really frustrating and it causes me a lot of headache as well.

                                        Kindly take relevant action and let Beam resolve the issue as soon as possible.
