Briefing you to understand the issue, I am writing the details as desired by you.
I wanted to buy a Sony 55 inch OLED TV A8G model from CROMA because I thought being a tata enterprise croma can be trusted most. Unfortunately my experience has proved me wrong.
I am working as an assistant professor in Sagar university and my hometown in Indore. with no CROMA store in Sagar, M.P. I had contacted the CROMA store in Indore around Diwali 2020. Shiva from Store got me in touch with Jayesh and I was told they were out of stock of the needed product and the product is also not available at other branches . The price of the product told to me at that time was around Rupees1, 59, 000.
I visited the CROMA store in Indore during my hometown visit around new year on january 2nd 2021 and again the same thing was told that they were out of stock, only the display unit of the model was available priced at Rs. 1, 69, 990. I was further told by Mr. Jayesh and Brijesh at store that a discount between 15-18% would be given by the store very soon on the display model of A8G once the new upgraded model display piece is received and they would contact me soon. I requested if the discount can be given now I can carry the tv with me safely in car now as they were not going to give original packaging and were not taking responsibility of delivery of TV to Sagar, M.P.
on 5 jan 2021 I received a call from Mr. Jayesh from CROMA store, Indore ( contact no. [protected] ) saying that the display unit can be sold now and the discounted price of the SONY OLED 55 inch A8G TV was 1, 47, 266 rupees and there is 2 years extended warranty free with it. trusting CROMA personnel I paid 80, 000 online through my SBI account on 5th Jan as booking amount and balance amount 67, 266 was paid by my brother on 7 jan2021 through his ICICI credit card. my brother manish wadhwani received the tv from Store and transported it to me to sagar. On receipt of invoice I enquired why an amount of 11, 351 and GST on it reflected in invoice on account of 2 years extended warranty when it was told me its free. I received a reply that it cannot be shown as 0 rupees hence some part price of tv has been appropriated there actually it was free only. this was again a lie, manipulation and fraud as the warranty was given to me on charged basis and not free.
I was being told so far that discount ( between 15-18 % as told on visit to store ) on 169, 990 was being decided by store and TV price was around 139, 000, then why was it shown as 135, 915 was shown as tv price in invoice?
Then on contacting other branch of CROMA, I was amazed and shocked to know that the price of Display unit of SONY A8G 55 inch in system of CROMA was around 1, 34000-, 1, 35915 ( i dont know the exact amount as have no access to system of CROMA). and this is uniform over all stores of CROMA.
In invoice the price of TV may be shown as in system of CROMA I was being mis leaded with a different information and explanation every time. I purchased the display unit only because I was told I am being given 2 years free extended warranty so I was convinced of the parts security by CROMA for 2 more years other than initial one year hence even if tv was used for few months parts are secured for longer period.or else i would have gone for a new unused tv with competitive price in online sale.
how can something be free when the complete price of it is charged and added in price of TV and not even disclosed even on asking clarification? not only a wrong manipulated price of TV was told to me but a manipulated information was given to lure me to buy the display unit, which is equivalent to fraud with me.
now on complaining this to store manager Mr. Sumeet, he said that he apologizes and is ready to pay back the price charged on account of 2 years extended warranty and take back the warranty. This is not acceptable. I want CROMA to provide the product on system price of display unit of SONY OLED TV 55 inch on day of booking which should be a ethical practice to be followed in CROMA without asking and honour their word of giving 2 years extended warranty free in that very price.
Strong action be taken against the wrong doers to re- establish the faith that all Tata enterprises have earned through decades. I am very sorry that despite bringing the issue to the notice of store manager he has not been able to keep the word given to me about free warranty and ensure that system price of 135, 915 rupees as charged in invoice or 1, 34, 000 rupees what ever be the actual price in system on booking date for display unit be only charged from me and rest all is refunded immediately with apology.
I have recordings of talks with person dealt with me ( Jayesh and Brijesh
) and later with store manager ( sumeet) after coming to know the fraud
i expect an immediate corrective action in best interest of CROMA loyal customer.
