Sir,

This is to inform you that I have submitted the abovenoted Demand Draft being No. 002048 drawn on Canara Bank payable at Kolkata of Rs. 4,800/- with the respondent bank on May 16, 2007 alongwith one Demand Draft being No. 002047 drawn on Canara Bank payable at Kolkata of Rs. 3,600/- in Savings A/c No. [protected] of my wife, Smt. Asha Shah. The draft submitted in my wife’s a/c was credited but the draft submitted in my account was never credited.

I have taken up the matter with the bank officers several times and always I have been told that the said draft has been misplaced and I was further assured that the matter would be taken care of and the said draft would be eventually located and credited in my account. But even after a long time, nothing positive has happened.

I would request you to look into the matter, since no action has been taken by the concerned officer to recover my abovementioned draft for a long period of more than two years and all I get from the bank officers are false assurances.

Please consider the matter urgent and take necessary action in the same.

    This is in reference with my Lost Debit Card of HDFC Bank dated January 21, 2009,

    I reported loss of Debit Card online dated January 23, 2009 as branch telephone was not answered on January 21 & January 22 and I was having branch phone nos. only,

    There were several transactions on my debit card which was not authorized by me and I notify them to Bank by email dated January 23, 2009,

    I received response from bank asking to fill Charge Dispute Form and submit to branch (Copy Attached) dated January 31, 2009,

    There was no response from Bank regarding this matter so again I contact HDFC Customer Care dated February 25, 2009 asking for the action taken on my Charge Dispute Form,

    On my surprise the Customer Care reply as below:

    This is with reference to your query regarding Dispute.
    We request you to revert with the following details in order to assist you better:

    1. Date of submission
    2. Exact Location of the branch where the application was submitted

    Please provide us the complete address of branch. Please visit the below link for branch location:

    3. Mode through which the application was send (Courier/ Post)
    4. Reference number or awb no if sent through courier

    So I sent them attached copy of Charge Dispute Form submitted at HDFC Bank, Vejalpur Branch dated January 31, 2009 duly acknowledged by bank,

    There was no action taken by HDFC Bank in this matter and after several contacts, they were in position to locate the Charge Dispute Form and Allotted the Reference No.: A33610429 Dated March 30, 2009,

    On April 6, 2009 Branch Officer Mr. Biren Shah called me up and ask to submit several documents in response to my Charge Dispute and the list of required documents was delivered to me dated: April 9, 2009 (As below):


    Subject: Transaction by use of Debit card reported by you to be lost / stolen

    We regret to note that your Debit Card has been reported by you to be lost/ stolen/ not received or used . We understand that you intend to dispute subsequent transaction(s) done through the said Debit card.

    Accordingly, we request you to provide us the following documents within 21 days of reporting the loss to take this case forward.

    FIR (First Information Report) from the concerned Police department
    Letter giving details of the event and transactions disputed
    Indemnity Letter duly signed as per format and franked for Rs 200/-
    Passport copies in case of international transaction disputes
    Please note that any acknowledgement or letter in lieu of the FIR will not be accepted.

    On submission of the aforesaid documents, we would provisionally credit your account for the disputed amount subject to “hold funds” on such credit.
    We will then be investigating the case as per our procedure. Kindly note that you cannot utilize these funds unless the investigation is completed and the findings are in your favor. You are requested to take note of the same before carrying out transactions in the subject account.

    All above documents were submitted to Branch dated April 29, 2009 (Acknowledge Copy of Documents is Available),

    Again they asked for one more documents dated May 06, 2009 as per below mail (This was not specified in the list of documents provided dated April 9, 2009) :

    Dear Mr. Gotecha,

    We have already forwarded your request to concern department for early resolution. But concern department had raised following query.
    '"If FIR is in any other language other than English/Hindi, a translated copy(Notarized) of the same to be provided".
    So we request you to please provide the FIR copy in Hindi so we can proceed your request further.

    There was no communication from Bank after receiving above documents after 3 weeks neither my account is provisionally credited with the amount disputed in my account

    Finally it was resolved by HDFC Bank but upto some extent and I closed the account with the bank. Now I don't trust this Bank and also advised my friends and family not to open an account with such bank. Also advise fellow readers to check the terms and conditions of the bank for the transactions made using debit card and internet banking.

      Dear Sir,

      I have taken a car loan from HDFC bank and my Loan account number is 15323376. My first EMI was deducted on the due date. The second EMI (through ECS) which was due on 05-Nov-09 was bounced and I was given the information that now I have to go to the SBI branch to get a new mandate form verified and then submit it to the Safdarjung, New Delhi branch of HDFC bank. The SBI branch is there in Varanasi (U.P.) and I am here in Ghaziabad. It is not possible for me to do all these. I had a word with customer care executive 3 times and every other time got a new information.

      They are charging me 500 Rs for changing of payment option as ECS is not getting hit I have no other option but to change the payment option to PDC. I am ready to pay the EMI but still they are not happy with it they want more than that with no reason. The reason for bouncing of ECS also is not clearly mentioned.

      Kindly look into the matter and inform me what to do next.

        I lost my debit card and subsequently I applied for a new debit card in HDFC Sallake Sector - V Kolkata, branch on 4th of November 2009. I was told at that time that I'll get my new debit card within 7-8 working days. Today(13/11/2009) I was told by phone bankinging officer, the acting branch manager (Mr. Abir) that they can not tell when I am going get the card. It has beeen dispatched from chennai and it may take another 7 days to get that. When try to lodge a complain I was told by their representative Ms. aprajita that unless and until it is more then seven days from the date of dispatch they can not take any complaint.
        The HDFC bank system is such a lousy system that they are taking almost 14 days to issue a fresh debit card.
        In addition to that the sector - V branch is having problem in cheque clearance also they are never clear the cheque in time.

            Hi This is Dipty Patel, i swap HDFC credit card on 5th January 09 & then after 2 days i received call from hdfc to make payment of 200 for card swap fees, i paid that, then 12th feb i made 490 payment, * then made 5000 cash payment but shows only 690 payment i have been payed, while talking to HDFC executive they were very rude,,,,

            finely after 2 & half month i come to know the status of 5000, by mistake they have transfer to my account only..
            till now i have not received any statement from hdfc for credut card,


            from last 4 months they are just telling m,e "aap abhi 500 rs pay kar dijiye with in 10 days we will send you full & final statement, but till now i have not received any mail.or courier from ther , then too i trust them & making my payment every month after hdfc call, now they are asking me to pay 10000
            more.

            Please help me out for this....

            Now I had No due with your Bank & My account is clear (you can check). Since last 2 years I had not taken any new credit card limit.

But since I want to change the Mailing address on my Office so he had told to write the letter to HDFC Credit Card Dept so that they can give the further Correspondence letter mailing on my Office Address.

            Please note : The Fresh Credit Card & Correspondence letter must be give me on My Office Address Only. Since I am an old customer & you know that my outstanding had been clear on time. So I Request to give once more Credit Card Facility.

              In February 2009 I had an outstanding money of Rs. 46867/- in my HDFC credit card. Tired of the horrible response of their customer care, I broke my card and sent it to them along with a cheque for Rs. 44000/-. I was told by their Executives that I am eligible for late fee waiver and so I had deduced Rs. 2687/- and paid the remaining amount. I wrote a detailed letter also to them. Till date there is no response from them for the letter. In July suddenly their Executives started calling me that I have an outstanding amount of Rs. 10000/- on my card. I was shocked!!! They had charged me interest all these months and now it has risen to Rs. 12000/-. I wrote a letter to them in February 2009 and they don't have the courtesy to respond for it. And without resolving the problem then itself how come the bank continue charging Interest in it. The bank has an obligation to listen to its customer's compliants and HDFC bank has not done this. Now they are BLACKMAILING me that they would not give ROC for my car loan (again from HDFC) unless I pay this outstanding amount. Is there any one who can help me out on this?? I definitely want to fight this day-light robbery done by HDFC.

                Shame on HDFC auto loan dept. NEVER GO TO THEM
                Hi friends I want to share with all of you the harassment I went through and still going through by HDFC bank auto loan dept, so that in future people planning to take a loan from them stay alert. I applied for car loan at HDFC as my previous dealing with them was very very smooth. But this time I was in for a toss.
                I applied for a loan of four lacs in name of my mother by depositing following documents of my mother at 10%pa reducing with horrendous pf of 3400. Just because I was in hurry and thought they would process my loan at the earliest seeing my previous track record.
                1. Passport
                2. Pan card
                3. Six month bank statement.
                4. ITR for two years with balance sheet.
                5. House tax receipt.
                6. Water bill receipt.
                7. RC of my old car financed through HDFC, though on my company's name.
                8. Post paid bill.
                People involved
                Rama:- Tele caller who called me and gave me false hopes this Saturday.
                Bijendra The field assistant who has been following up though a nice guy but very lazy, and lack of interest in work or has too much to handle. Is trained to take from customer, just keeps taking with no change on his end.
                Vijendra The Team leader for these fools, has audacity of asking me for DST charges, never picks up phone and when he does he acts ultra-busy all the time and asks me to call him back as if am one of his employees.
                J.S. Ahuja: Biggest hooligan of them all has no manners to talk to his juniors of his clients, lacks all the knowledge, Don’t know who made him relationship manager. Though he thinks he is President of HDFC LTD.
                I applied for loan on my mother’s name, my father does online advertising through google on her name, and thus we get cheques directly from google USA on her name.
                For over a week they didn’t do anything about my loan because according to them documents were incomplete.
                After first four days they started asking for company’s proof, when we don’t need any company to run this advertising business and we applied for loan on her name not on any company’s which I had made clear on first day itself.
                Next three days they kept asking me for contract, I called the guy Bijendra (sales exec for autoloan) at my house and gave him all the copies of google adsense setup with monthly payments.
                But that wasn’t enough now these people starting asking for TDS certificates, It took them three more days to understand how can they ask for TDS when all our cheques come from USA. Mr J.S AHUJA doesn’t understand anything about TDS for him TDS certificate and Direct tax are the same thing. After these 10 days I had lost my cool and started threatening them of closing my loan file but one Mr. Bijendra who is handling my case kept on consoling me of early action. On this occasion of TDS topic he made me talk to this J.S Ahuja, who was first as rude as he can be with Bijendra talked to him like his servant and also told him. “I don’t have time to talk to such people, such people don’t understand anything and not to waste his time. When he clearly knew I was on line and Bijendra kept telling him that customer is online. When he spoke to me, just for the sake of early processing even now I kept my cool and explained to this stupid guy difference between TDS and Direct tax certificate. He spoke in a very cold tone as if I was a beggar asking for money from him though in reality it should have been the opposite.
                Anyway after these 10 days I again sent Direct tax certificate for two years, In hope of loan being approved as soon as possible, though it wasn’t necessary when I had already submitted Stamped ITR from Govt. of India.
                At 12th day Thursday my loan was approved and I got a message from HDFC. Bijendra came to my house same night that is last thrusday to get all the document signed. I was very frustrated but still had a sign of hope, but my saga still hadn’t had to come to an end, he asked for eight cheque leaf’s when we only had six. He hadn’t informed in advance as to how many cheque leaf’s are required, and I didn’t know that because we opted for ECS and thought only one or two must be needed if any. Dead irritated from HDFC and this guy and his boss I gave him another bank’s cheque’s my account where is just a month old, along with statement for one month which I had in my folder by chance. He also tried to act smart and get me sign PF for 3900 when it was 3400. Anyway he assured me that my case is what he will do first thing in the morning.
                Friday till 4 this guys wasn’t at office and was traveling all over the town. He kept asking me to call different people from HDFC about my loan, which I kept doing to just get a cold reply. At 6 he tells me these cheques wont work they need cheque from the same account whose statement I had attached with original documents. I asked him push these cheques only as I was as it is going to close the other account soon. He said he’ll try. He also was too careless in receiving the Fax for insurance cover note and receipt for advance from Rama motors. Day passed.
                Saturday this guy (Bijendra) was on a leave and he asked another of his friend Rama to follow up with me on his behalf. Meanwhile I had messaged bijendra if I don’t get delivery on Monday our deal is off. My sales exec at Fiat kept on trying faxing Insurance cover note and receipt but their faxes (HDFC) were always busy. Rama also didn’t reply to my calls till afternoon 2oclock, when she finally said she’s in a meeting with her boss sorting my case only. And she will call back. She called me back at 4 told me my file has been pushed, and I’ll get the Delivery on Monday on behalf of some D.O (Delivery order) Which I had previously asked at Fiat Rama motors they refused to give the car on basis of D.O. She assured me that their manager will talk at Rama motors and get the car delivered. Meanwhile my sales exec at Fiat also told me that documents have been faxed. Day ends.
                Sunday HDFC is off, I went to do PDI of my car which Fiat punto multijet at rama motors okhla it had arrived on Tuesday only. I tried to force them for a delivery on basis of D.O. on Monday which they failed to reply me back, I gave them DD for the balance amount and leave.
                Monday(Today) 9.11.09, all excited when my loan will disburse today or tomorrow nearly after two weeks of application and harresment, I called Bijendra to my horror all he has to tell me is that my cheques from the new bank wont work which he told me on friday itself. I’ll have to arrange cheques from other bank itself. I was shocked, surprised, felt cheated again. And to my surprise he still hadn’t received cover note and receipt, I told him that Fiat sent it I heard the fax tone, He said he’ll look for it. I asked him why Rama had assured me, he said he’ll get back. Again no calls from him. I call him again in afternoon but he again tells that these cheques wont work. I slogged from my office to my bank to get a new cheque book waited for one hour to take the cheque book. Now my tone of talking to him had changed but nothing used to bother him no matter how rude I was he stayed unaffected. After getting the cheque book I asked him to tell me one final date after talking to his boss and then only I’ll give the cheques. He said he’ll talk to his manager; he gives me a call at 7 and tells me that his manager has refused to give loan to Rama motors because of some previous altercation with them. I was shocked I shouted at him whats wrong with his F. manager. Bijendra pretended to be on my side and assured me that he will get this done anyhow now its about his honour and what not bullsh.. I asked him to ask his manager to give me in written from HDFC bank that they are refusing a loan to rama motors he assured me he’ll get everything started tomorrow morning after I sent the two cheques there. He still hadn’t checked cover not and receipt as he was out.
                He is saying that they will get DO issued tomorrow and that I fight with Rama motors to give delivery on basis of DO, he still hasn’t clarified when will the loan be disbursed it has been two weeks now I have been following up but to no avail. Shame on you “HDFC auto loan dept.” May you rust in hell.
                In all this while SBI at 8% and 9% for two year, BOI at 8.5% would have approved my loan.
                Axis had also quoted me 9.75% and PF of just Rs1500 also time of 3 days. But I was a fool to still choose HDFC now am stuck with them because I have been constantly made to believe that its just two more days, when in reality two weeks have passed don’t know what to do with them.

                Tuesday, Now I have sent them complete cheques, my file has been sent for processing but completion is still stuck because the TL ‘Vijendra’ is asking from me some DST charge of Rs.2000/- which Rama motors don’t give them hence shamelessly to my utter horror he asked me to change the dealership, or I give them that money. Bunch of loosers. I told him clearly that I won’t give a penny more. To which he has to reply now.
                7:00PM Just had a word with Vijendra the Team leader. He told me bluntly someone has to pay that money be it Rama motors or me, this is nothing but harassment. I asked him to close my loan and give me in written that they don’t give loan to Rama Motors and for the same am closing my file to which he replied “Rama walo ne accha sikhaya hai aapko.” I know how I held my cool then. Except Bijendra none of the people at HDFC car loan know or have manners to respect customers very shameful. He has asked me to call tomorrow at 11:00 Am. Am I a buyer or a seller here?
                Anyway have applied at Axis aswell now as I have very less faith in them but my dealership says now there’s nothing they can do since my file has been sent with cheques for processing, they are just trying there luck but I don’t believe anyone now.

                Update on Wednesday (11.11.09)

                These jerks are good for nothing after several calls to different people from HDFC Auto loan dept. which includes Bijendra, Vijendra, J.S. Ahuja, and Rama. From 9am till 5pm, they have denied me the loan because the dealer Rama motors doesn’t give them DST (Worth 3K they have denied interest worth 60K fools) and were ready to give me my documents back, though they were not ready to give me any letter stating the reason for their not disbursing the loan, I sent my peon to collect the cheques from their ITO Express building where all these fools hangout on fourth floor, they made him wait for an hour just to tell that documents, will be released on a formal letter from me. But returned the cheques.

                  while I had already closed My Credit Card A/c. by sent a Letter through Fax on[protected], to above mentioned FAX No. & Dated. why your Card Division has unnecessarily generating continue the letter of debit amount on my A/c. And sending it to me?

                  As per your letter Ref. No.[protected]R0031878 Dt. 06-08-09 in the 2) No. massage at the bottom of the letter is clearly written that as per basis of my request the credit card A/c. has been cancelled.

                  If, as per basis of my request that my credit card A/c. has been cancelled than how did the bank raising debit amount in my A/c., because the date I had faxed my request letter is[protected]. and I had no any dues on that day in My Credit Card A/c. I have never been used my credit card except one Bajaj Allianj Policy given as per telephonic conversation unexpectedly. I had letter called Bajaj Allianj over telephone to close the policy any how that my Credit Card A/c. not being close due to the policy.

                  Please investigate the A/c. properly and terminate the process of sending Dr. Letter to me and obliged.

                  Please do the needful as earliest otherwise you bount me to go to the
                  West Bengal State Consumer Disputes Redressal.

                  Sub: Complaint Against HDFC Bank Credit Card Nuisance

                  Dear Sir,


                  I regret to inform you and for your kind notice that I was holding and HDFC Bank Credit Card vide no: [protected]. In that card, my credit limit was Rs.2, 38, 000/- and after that Bank has revised and reduced the Credit Limit from Rs.2, 38, 000/- to Rs.1, 77, 000/-. I have used my Credit Limit and I have already paid Rs.2, 77, 371/- against my Card as per their statement dated 17.03.2010. I had no outstanding against my Card. Only some Interest Charges were Lying in my Card.

                  On that basis, I have requested to Bank to settle and convert my some Interest dues amount sympathetically in to fresh simple EMI after reversing all the Late fees, Extra Interest Charges and the unnecessary fees charged by the Bank Intentionally. Due to my tremendous financial problem, I was not in position to submit my children’s school fees and house rent also which already I had discussed this matter frequently to their customer care executive over phone & at least 14 to 15th times and sent 14th to 15th frequent reminder letters also.

                  If you see the Receipts & Payments A/c of my Card, from beginning to end then you can easily observe that, I have made already over and excess payment against my used amount through card. If you see my accounts I have already paid the excess amount which the money I have used through Card. If the bank waive my unjustified Interest and Late fees, then nothing outstanding will be pending against my card. Which amount I have used against my Credit Card, Out of that, I have made excess payment against my used amount.

                  Being a preferred customer for long time, I have changed my address, phone no etc honestly. As a result of which, their Recovery agency/goons have started to hassle me mentally and also my wife, not only that, they also used abusive and very rough language over phone and came to my office and insulted me in the front of everybody with very abusive and slang language and told me to make the payment immediately, otherwise they will attack me and my family with their team and told me that, they will thrash me in the front of my society and also told me that they will abolish me from my job. I am a very simple Private Company’s employee and simple middle class family. That incident happened for last 5 to 6 months. After completion of their mental and physical harassments, HDFC Bank has sent the Legal court notice to my address. I am a very simple and middle class family member and a very simple employee of a private company. Bank continuously pressurized me to take the credit card.

                  Trying to claim huge amount intentionally from customer, that is the practice of HDFC bank .Please tell me, Is it a Reputed Bank ???

                  My Credit Limit was Rs.1, 77, 000/- and I have paid Rs.2, 77, 371/-. If my intention was bad then, why I will make the payment for Rs.2, 77, 371/-. Their Intention is how to raise the Interest amount and late fees unnecessary and pressurize to customer mentally. Trying to claim huge amount intentionally from customer, that is the practice of HDFC bank . Is it a Reputed Bank ???

                  Due the tremendous mental harassment to me and my family, My wife is not well and she also feels very insecurity. Please help me and my family from HDFC Bank’s Credit Card nuisance.

All the employees are fed up of this day to day matter. Even during the office hours this has become a regular feature of some of the unwanted elements to use our premises in the name of advertising their products either consumer durables/ cine stories/ teleserials.                         HDFC Bank — Delivery of documents

                        Dear Sir,
                        From Mumbai & Chennai HDFC office they have couried me the documents containing Debit Cards, covers having password for debit card, netbanking, phonebanking and other documents through ARAMEX courier (shippment a/c no.60001059 Ref.no.WIAX/2305/00024). As this is a very confidential documents which has to be deliverd only to the name holder and get the receviers signature. But my documents has been deliverd to some other people and without getting my signature. The person who received my documents called me over phone and I went there to get my documents. I am in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I am not satisfied the way ARAMEX is taking care of the documents given to them for proper and safe delivery. Please check wheather the documents are deliverd by the courier delivering people properly.

                              I'm sending this mail ob behalf of Mr.Jacob Rose Frank J[protected].

                              We took a HL with HDFC for Rs.49 lak and

                              we made a part closure of Rs.2500000/- with 2% FC charges.....Now he is not in position to pay the EMI and planned to settle the entire amt by doing a joint venture with a builder and by selling his owned native place property and pledging the jewels...

                              When i took a foreclosure statement on 31.10.09 i was really shocked by the FC charges....the details are..

                              POS - Rs.2220739/-
                              FC amt - Rs.75524/-(where fc charges works out to more than 3%)

                              I went to tambaram branch and requested to accept my FC payments as per the agreement and they refused....

                                I`ve submitted my HDFC Credit Card ([protected]), which was used & unsigned on 11th July, 2008 at HDFC Bank, Bistupur Branch, Jamshedpur. The received surrender copy of the same duly signed with stamp of HDFC Bank is with me.

                                On May 2009, I’ve received a Bajaj Allianz Insurance package through HDFC Credit Card, which is still retain unused & got a bill (ref. no.[protected]R0023593) of Rs. 2572.59 against it. After that I have written a complain letter to the Manager, HDFC Credit Card Section, Kolkata on 12th June 2009. But get no response till date.

                                Again I have received a Bill (ref.no.[protected]R0023646) of Rs. 5144.38 on 06.11.2009.

                                My questions are:
                                1. How you they claim any amount against an unsigned & unused Credit Card after one year of cancellation?
                                2. Why my card was not blocked/cancelled in time in spite of giving me a duly signed surrender copy?
                                Herewith I’m attaching the received copy of my Credit Card Surrender letter as evidence.

                                HDFC Credit Card — Billing after one year of surrender of Credit Card

                                I`ve submitted my HDFC Credit Card ([protected]), which was used & unsigned on 11th July, 2008 at your Bistupur Branch, Jamshedpur. The received surrender copy of the same duly signed with stamp is with me.

                                I had HDFC credit card long ago. I blocked the same.
                                As per my understanding I left 7000 balance and the HDFC bank detected 5000 from my salary account without my permission. Also I did not receive any statement for that. After 1 year I got mail saying that you have to pay 17000 Rs. I asked full transaction details they are not ready to give. Now they are saying that you have to pay 30000 plus amount, I am asking the same question for statement but they denied to provide the statement. I don’t the real transaction details. So please help me to sort out this issue with valid solutions.

                                Some body called from third part and they are using un-parliament words and make me afraid. Also they are saying that if you not paying the amount they will kill me.

                                    Hdfc Sales Person Mr Inderjeet ([protected]) offered me some attractive gift on personal from HDFC. When he came to receive my documents he told me that he will provide me a gift after my loan will be disbursed after that i have given my document for processing.

                                    Now loan amount have been disbursed but he is not ready to provide any gift even he is not picking my phone.

                                    just wanted to share this so that other customer should not cheated like me.
