I was trying to book a room in Imperial Pacific Hotel, Sector 15, Gurgaon from May 26th to May 31st. My first payment in the amount of Rs. 8029.00 INR with booking id "HTLG7YTES6" was failed. So I made another attempt of thinking that I might have made a mistake in entering any information. But then the second payment in the amount or Rs. 8229.00 INR with booking id "HTLN49JQU2" got failed too.
And when I checked my bank account, the total amount Rs. 16258.00 INR was deducted already. My Rs. 16258.00 were gone in a flash. How can a company take the money out of people's bank account even after transaction has failed...!!!

So I called helpdesk to return my money back, on which I got the response that I will be getting my money back in 5-14 working days. So I waited.
But when I called them on June 11th, they again gave me a 5-14 days consoling window. So I waited again, as I had no other option. Then I got in touch with them again on July 2nd, requesting to return my money back.. but guess what... I AGAIN GOT 5-14 days of waiting period standard reply from them. Every time, my call goes to a different helpdesk person and I have to explain the entire story again.
This is totally frustrating.
You can take the money from a customer's bank account even on a failed transaction...but you are not able to return it back to the customer even in close to 2 months. I moved to Gurgaon in May month this year and was already short of cash at that time and you gave me a penalty of Rs 16258.00 INR.
What if this amount were somewhere around 80000/-..? My bank account would have been completely robbed...!!

And yesterday on July 19th, I dropped another email to their Helpdesk; but no response this time. Honestly...This is how you do business...???

Finally.. I have decided to write here, as I am sure I am not going to get any money if I keep calling you guys. Not sure, how many other people are suffering due to your web application (being in Software industry, I wonder how come your web application can pull money from a bank account, even though transaction shows FAILED..).

Hi Goibibo Team,

I got your reply and also got the snapshot that payment was cleared from you side; although it was cleared on July 4th (which was after my second attempt to reach you guys). But I won't mark this complaint as resolved until I get the money in my bank account.

My issue is not a personal one with you guys, it is about how your/ overall process works.
It should not be the customer's duty to run behind every single person involved in such transactions, like what I did first with your team and now I am expected to follow some middle layer agency for few more weeks and then finally do the same with my bank for some more weeks.

The concern is - If all of the agencies involved in such transactions (your team + middle agencies/ third parties + my bank) can pull a good amount of money from my account within a few seconds, even when the transaction was failed, why can't they return my own money in a decent time (say, even a couple of days are fine)...??

Why the customer should wait for such a long time...?? I have spent my 1.5 months following up with just your team and now I have 2 more agencies to follow up to get my own money back.

Being an IT professional for more than a decade, I have always been a strong supporter of online transactions; technology is much more advanced and robust than ever now. Not sure how it happened here and it was related to customer's money; such issues are resolved at super priority. All of the involved agencies need serious audits/ checks here.

To be honest, I have not booked anything after this incident from your site and I am not sure to use your site in future. Again, its not about me, but you can always improve things at your end and other agencies at their places to make things transparent and efficient to avoid these scenarios in future and provide customers a quality service they deserve.

MY Auditor found an amount of Rs.1160/- charged to me by IBIBO web pvt ltd.on 15.2.18
I HAVE NOT MADE any transactions with them.
I have no idea why this amount has been deducted from my account.
THIS IS A CON JOB. Please refund my money((((((

    I have booked a ticket on 13th June Mid night from Leh to Delhi for 15th June Morning using E-store on SBI credit Card App, where Travel Partner or Merchant is Goibibo.
    After the transaction got completed, Debit message received for INR 17, 995 from SBI Credit card.
    Till morning i hadn't receive any e-Ticket or message etc. So i have written an email to Go ibibio team on email id " [protected]@goibibo.com " for the same, requesting them for sending me the e Ticket on my email id, but no reply.

    Than in the evening i called Go Air team, airline for which i have booked the flight. They said there is no such Passenger with the name Parvinder Singh and Cell no [protected] or email id [protected]@outlook.com. So there is no trace-ability from Go Air team,

    Then i have written an email to Goibibo on email id - "" where i have requested them to confirm the transaction and i have mentioned the complete incidence to them.

    Then one of the employee from Customer Delight Department replied me i.e. parul.yadav_1026051, she asked further details from me such as

    1)First 6 digits and last 4 digits of the card number (in case of card
    transaction)
    2) Date of transaction
    3) Amount of transaction
    4) Transaction/ PayU ID
    5) Customer’s name
    6) Email address
    7) Contact number

    After providing this, then she replied back me on 21st Jun 7 Pm, that

    As per Goibibo team there is no transaction or no transaction happened.

    But later SBI Chargeback team shared the Transaction reference number, as per which Merchang Goibibo claimed for the amount from SBI credit card and the number is

    Transaction reference number for the same is [protected], 014579

    Transaction claimed on 14th June by Go Ibibo and payment received by 15th June.

    I have also shared the credit card statement as well.

    Still after so much of pain people are saying there is no such Transaction.

    Request to Parul Yadav, please see my yesterday email which i have shared with Bank statement and please re check and confirmed from your finance department that they have claimed the amount and request them to refund the same.

    If this is the case as you mentioned above, please let me know one thing how come your team claim for the amount from SBI Credit Card Team.

    Below are the transaction details which I have received from SBI Card team:

    "Transaction reference number for the same is [protected], 014579

    Transaction claimed on 14th June by Go Ibibo and payment received by 15th June."

    Please check with this reference number and stopy giving me false information. I have also attached image of my CREDIT CARD Statement once again for your verification.

    Earlier you replied on very next day saying no such tracing is there, now when I have provided you with transaction numbers also, you are not replying even after 4 days.

    Why so slow Ibibo team ? Now you don't have any answer for the same because me and SBI both are having the references for our truth.

      I am getting nearly 100 messages per day from Goibibo stating that bookings are available for your taxi, which I don't have. I am fed up of these messages.Eventually I tried contacting their toll free phone numbers. no response. I don't have any particular number to call and talk to a concerned person

      Even i am getting the messages at midnight too. these messages are effecting my phone and also effecting my job.

      Hope my issue is resolved as soon as possible.

        I have booked an hotel through goibibo site for 13 to 15th July. I had to do partial cancellation due to sudden plan change. have raised a request on 13th July but till 14th July it was not resolved. i have called customer care at the time of checkout. But no resolution on that and made me to wait 2 hours at hotel reception and finally they came up that cancellation can't be done and it's non refundable.
        it's a preapaid booking but all of the sudden in hotel app it's showing that i had to pay extra amount and none of them are having clue about it why it's showing.

        Goibibo customer service have wasted my time and money unnecessarily.

          I booked a ticket on goibibo website (PNR LFRMOM). Before booking the ticket i called the exicutive of go ibibo and ensured that there is a students baggage allowance of 40 kg. The name of the executive is Kevin. As per his instructions i booked a ticket and i did not get any allowance rather 30 kg only. I reported this issue with the customer support in less than 30 minutes of booking.
          That customer support agent told me it can be resolved by updating the VISA COPY, PASSPORT COPY AND ADMISSION LETTER. I mailed it to them and the next day they are saying that the airline declines my baggage allowance.
          I called the airline and they clearly told that i would have got this offer if i would have done it though their website or yathra website of students universe website.
          I am denied with this offer only just because i booked it through goibibo.

          I am sure (100%) that i had clicked the students fare before booking the ticket. It took almost 4 days to escalate the issue to the respective team. I am not new to the goibibo phone application. Before going to the final i had even a trial booking also. After 4 days an executive told me that they had crosschecked with the recording of the call and they told me my claim was true. Ie they have heard my recording on my query about students baggage allowance before booking. Now the same guy is saying that when they contacted the technical team of the website they found that i have not clicked the students fare option. But i am 100 % sure that i had done it in the exact way how they have advised me. They are asking me to sent the screenshot of the same if i have (showing that i have clicked the students fare). They are cheating me. I am really trapped. Please help me to resolve this issue. i am a student and i am flying for the first time I have lot of things to be taken to Ireland. Please help me to get out of the trap.

          At least i would request whoever reading this note, not to book any tickets through goibibo and fall into traps. I was trapped by showing the promotions.

          Similar complaints are also there regarding the same website on the web. please take this type of complaints serious because they are literally trapping people.

            GOMUPKGINT3cf6a09482. I had done a booking from HYD-DPS on 12th of july at 9:07 pm. Till the time of booking it was showing the return journey dates to be 3rd of September. When I booked the tickets, after the e tickets were received, the return journey showed to be 4th of September. I called their customer care executive and told about the discrepancy at 9:30 PM. He forwarded it to the technical team and reverted back on 13th july 2018 at 3:00 PM.. They said they can't do anything as it's a fault from my side and apparently I had booked for 4th September, although I haven't. i triple checked it before booking. i talked to the supervisor of their's too and when I told him in details about all the problem, he said he would revert back within 24 hours. But it's more than 70 hours since the last call and till now I haven't received any communication from their side.. even after multiple calls, they are saying we are arranging a call for you within 15 mins but even after hours have passed there hasn't been any communication. Also their web app is faulty. It shows two different date for the same shortlisted flight. This is really frustrating.

              I booked ticket from Pune to Sridi vide is number
              GOBUSIOS9e147c6c8d. BUS was schedule to leave at 5.40AM. I got telephone from the bus conductor that bus is late by 2.30 hours. Since my further journey was already planned I was forced to cancel the ticket. But shocked to see no refund. Where I am at fault?
              Kindly arrange my refund otherwise I have no option but take legal action.
              This has also jeopardise the reputation of your company. I was planning to book my ticket for Glasgow form Delhi but now it is beyond question.
              Pl make the refund for the journey not performed by me

                I created my mail id on ibibo.com many years ago and I gave that as my backup id on several platforms and now that I need to reset my gmail accounts password. I cannot do that since I cannot find a way to login to my ibibo mail account. I have that gmail account as a backup in almost every website, so kindly give me access to my ibibo mail account at least once to reset my other account.

                  while the amount was deducted, i did not get the ticket

                      i was booked Citrus Hotel in jaipur dated 14th May to 25th May through Goibibo Mobile Apps, My new joining in company at jaipur but when i reached Jaipur at 14th Morning and call for early Check-in Citrus Hotel denied to check in and reply we will not allow you to check in because Goibibo book hotel on wrong price so please contact Goibibo.

                      when i call to Goibibo customer care they reply after 2 hour, they replied hotel website show wrong prices due to technical problem so i am put request from our side for refund your money that time request goibibo for arrange another hotel for same dates but they denied for ..

                      after all that conversation goibibo send msg for feed back foe how was your stay at Citrus hotel and i was mentally as well as physically disturbed by Goibibo and Hotel.

                      please help me for stop these type of activity happen in future i have atatched all msg and call recording for your review.

                          I have made a booking for 5 rooms at millennium hotel, faridabad on 28th may 2018. Few days ago, i have received a call from hotel stating that the rooms are not available for the mentioned dates and i have been asked to cancel my bookings. I cannot cancel my booking as i have made my arrangements accordingly. Hotel management is informing about the glitch or rooms unavailability after ~20 days of booking, which is unacceptable. I have asked the hotel personnel to send an email briefing about the same, however; i have not received any email yet. I am trying to contact hotel but no answer. Secondly, i checked online right after i received a call and rooms were showing available in this hotel for the same dates. I am not sure why hotel is not accepting the booking (Maybe prices have been increased). Whatever be the reason is, but this type o[censored]nprofessional behavior is completely unacceptable.

                              I booked a bus from goibibo from lucknow to delhi, the operator confirmed the bus number and the seat number.
                              When the time came, they asked me to switch bus and seats to an upper to which i was not okay with and said no.
                              The goibibo team and the bus operator jagdamba tourism left me stranded in the middle of the road and in a very unsafe environment.
                              They told me they were not going to give me seats and the bus left without even stopping. All i was offered by goibibo was a refund.
                              I suffered immensely and ended up sitting on the road till now with nowhere to go in a very unsafe environment. They had taken extra money from someone and booked my ticket which has become a habit of goibibo and the travel companies. I will miss my meeting which is going to cost me a lot and also now loss of time and money in trying to reach delhi.

                                I, PAWAN KUMAR Mobile no-[protected], PNR-TS[protected]ARPI, Booking id-GOBUS7cf36fed44 had booked bus to travel from Pune to Bangalore on 01 july 2018 through Goibibo. I was waiting at my boarding point Hinjewadi bridge since 7pm. I called Goibibo customer care([protected]) at 6.39pm(screenshot of my phone call log attached) to inquire about my booking after which i received a message in which contact nos bus operator were mentioned(screenshot attached). I called up [protected] at 7.23pm and was told that bus will arrive at my boarding point at around 7.45pm. I called the same no again at 7.41 pm and was told that bus will arrive by 8pm. I called the same no again at 7.58pm and was told that the bus had already departed from my boarding point and was given bus driver's no([protected]). On calling the driver I was told that bus will wait near Pashan bridge and i was asked to reach Pashan bridge. I had to hire an auto costing me Rs 100 in order to catch the bus. I would like to get my auto charges back and register a complaint for the inconvenience caused for such poor service.

                                  I had attempted to book for a round-trip from bangalore to delhi for june 29th via goibibo on 26th may.
                                  The tickets were not booked but an amount of 8314₹ was deducted.
                                  After attempting to contacting them about this, unsuccessfully, they did respond much later saying that the refund will reach me within 5-14 bank working days.

                                  After almost the whole of that period, i tried contacting them, as the refund hadn't arrived by then, and they had said that there was some errors and they would be restarting the refund process afresh.
                                  They would not have given even this lie of a reply had i not asked.

                                  A further cycle of 5-14 days later and nothing still.
                                  All their phone numbers from the net are bogus and the whole setup seems a genuine fraud, rather than a company.

                                  What's required to end this scam?

                                  They asked me to take it up with my bank and in doing so it came correct. How much of that was coincidence or how much it was solely because I took it up with the bank, I don't know.

                                  Their "refund within 5-14 days" is never ending.
                                  I'll be moving this to legal authorities as it's futile to trust those scamsters.

                                  Finally received the amount after having taken up the matter with the bank and their debit card division.

                                    Hi,

                                    I was booked one ticket Using goibibo app ( no [protected]) unfortunately ticket was not recieved but money got deducted from my account through TEZ. Suddenly i called the team and said the same and they responded like i will recieved the money with in 2 working days, and i can book again on that time for getting another ticket. And i booked and i travelled from Chennai to Aluva. Till now i didnt recieve my refund for the first ticket failure. I called the customer care more than 7 times and i got reply like it is already escalated and refund is under process. One month reached now and till now i didnt get any refund back. When i try to call them again i couldnt reach them.

                                    ( i got information like the money is with goibibo right now, both from TEZ team and Goibibo Team. I gave them more than one month to solve this issue but i didnt get a satisfied response.

                                    I dont know how to recover my money, and it is absolutely a fraud method by Goibibo Team.

                                      On last friday, dated 22-jun-18 i have tried to confirm 4 train tickets from delhi to haridwar to my family from goibibo app. After deducting the payment of rs. 2160 from my syndicate debit card, the application showing that it'll take 20 mins for the confirmation from irctc, but after 20 mins it's showing the tickets are not confirmed so i chosen for refund to the same account from which i have done the payment to goibibo. Till now a week has been passed away but till now i didn't receive any refund from goibibo.

                                        Dear friends, travelling abroad, booking tickets with goibibo be aware!!!

                                        My name is vikram, i booked airline ticket with goibibo on 8th april 2018. Below are the details of the flights:
                                        Air india flight-ahmedabad to newark, usa, date & time: 23.04.2018, 04.55, pnr no. Jn3v1,
                                        Flight no. Ai171, goibibo booking id: amdn2fylk cost: ₹41, 948

                                        After booking tickets, i changed my mind and decided to travel on different date and booked direct flight with united airlines. Immediately on 9th april 2018, i initiated online cancellation request through goibibo website. Before request, i read goibibo cancellation policies, terms and conditions. And then after cancellation, i called goibibo about the refund and payment process. Customer executive informed me that they received cancellation request and suggested to discuss payment refund and card policies with bank for better clarity.
                                        After few days i noticed that, i have received email form goibibo saying your tickets were not cancelled, and you need to confirm the cancellation process by accepting cancellation charges written in the email. That email was mentioning high cancellation charges and taxes. Until i notice that email, my tickets were already showing 'no show' category of airline.
                                        Goibibo told me that i did not give any email confirmation (Which was not required) neither was i reachable on phone.
                                        For 'no show' category goibibo penalized me below charges
                                        Airline's fee: inr 15000/- per passenger
                                        No-show fee: inr 12000/- per passenger
                                        Refund & admin fee: inr 300/- per passenger
                                        Govt. Tax: inr 1365/- (05% of the total penalty) per passenger.
                                        Goibibo service fee: inr 649/- per passenegr.
                                        Convenience fee: inr 599/- per passenegr.
                                        Total cancellation fee: inr 29913/- per passenger.
                                        Now the reality is:
                                        Cancellation process was a one click process as per their website. They asked the confirmation of the cancellation process at the time of clicking confirm cancel button. It was clear indication to confirm cancellation of your ticket. But the fact is goibibo did not cancelled the ticket and kept it open and now they are arguing with me giving the reason that i did not given confirmation to their email.
                                        There is no need to send any email if i know, i am cancelling the ticket through web application, i am following your all steps you are asking me about confirmation of cancellation on web application.
                                        Its almost 2 months over, i am calling them about my refund, every time they explain me new process, i had given entire demo of cancellation process which was mentioned on their own website. Website itself is asking confirmation, then why they need email confirmation? I cancelled my ticket prior to any delay. They understand their mistake, but not ready for refund. Every agent/customer executive is tranied in way that they should convince the customer that this our policy. Then i told manager, senior manager to read the cancellation procedure loudly, they read it and then hangup phone, disconnected phone calls. Then i understood they are trained purposefully to set the email trap.

                                        Please notice, the big scam that goibibo is doing, there is simple cancellation process given on website. They ask stepwise all information needed to cancel the air ticket. Twist is they have few contradictory statements which are not self-explanatory. E. G. Depends on airline to airline and depends on the situation. Now what they do is, they send cancellation email with higher price to customer including goibibo fees and taxes. But at actual they must follow the cancellation policy of airline.in my case i cancelled the ticket very next day of booking, so it should be considered normal cancellation. Cancellation charges based on slabs like before 72 hrs, 72 hrs-48 hrs, 48 hr-24hrs etc. Air india cancellation policy is fair and mentioned on their website. Air india offer 100% refund on cancellation of ticket booked 7 days prior to departure through their website or office. Then why goibibo is getting 15k-19k cancellation fee for normal cancellation.

                                        Based on cyber law policy i can claim my refund.

                                        I don't want to stop here, i am filing fir or court enquiry against them to conduct audit for last 3 years to identify, how many cancellations has been done? How much money they raised through cancellation process? How much money they returned to the airline for cancellation? Are there cancellation process are adhering to the standards of industry.

                                        I am attaching the document of goibibo which explaining cancellation process on web. You will notice the confirm cancellation button in last slide.

                                        I request all passanger travelling abroad with goibio, please ensure that you read policy and refund process.

                                        Goibibo purposfully keep the passangers cancellation process under the validation. They just try to catch busy fish who dont care about 15-20k. The person may be in hurry or lazy attitude can loose your handsome/fat money.

                                        They have two cancellation policy. One has complete web process of cancellation (Please see the bellow link) but they dont use web based process. They just try to catch you in their email based cancellation process.

                                        Shortly i am coming with all the necesary information, call records and conversation with consumer affair portal govt india. Then you will come to know that why they use email cancelation process against standard web cancallation process.
