Refund policy

I had bought a refundable package of 60 days from nobroker. It's been more than 60 days and they still haven't returned the amount. I have already raised a complaint with the district forum for customer redressal for fraudulent activities including cheating of consumer....

Reference: nrp no. 2616429

With regard to the above reference number, i made a rental payment of
₹6, 500 on 7.8.2020. After the deduction from my credit card, the payment to my owner was withheld asking for rental agreement. I uploaded it on 8.8.2020. The payment is still not processed after 4 days. If i cancel the payment, they are levying 2% charges and the loss for the customer would be 3% given the 1% convenience charge already charged while making the payment. This "no broker" platform looks to be involved in many fraudulent transactions and illegal activities. Complaints galore online. Their customer care sucks. It takes ages to connect calls, then automatically cuts after 10 minutes of holding. There's no complaint number given.

We might be constrained to initiate legal proceedings at the consumer redressal forum as it amounts to deficiency of services to compensate for the waste of time, mental agony, acts amounting to "the trader resorting to unfair trade practices" and "deficiency of service" as per the
The consumer protection act, 1986 and several other applicable laws like the weights, standards & measures act. There has been an infringement of rights of the consumer.

    Owner plan was purchased on 13 mar 2020. As per the terms, if nobroker can not rent the flat within the specified duration, the money paid to this plan (Rs. 7668.82 /-) must be returned to the customer.

    As per these terms, since the flat was not rented out, e-mail was received from nobroker on 2nd july 2020 saying refund has been initiated. This mail also confirmed that within 7-10 working days, money would be reaching my account.

    But, it has been more than 40 days since the refund was initiated, money never came to my account. Numerous follow-ups over mail/phone, but absolutely no response from nobroker.

      Dear sir / madam,

      On 4th jul 2020, i paid twice with amount rs 3538.82 and rs 4130.00 to nobroker.com for the plan 'money back plan'. This plan is to take their help to find out suitable tenant in 60 days else they give guarantee to give the money back.

      1. After long discussions with many people from nobroker includingester/bidyut/ajay and mohammaed), on 2nd day (5th jul) of the payment the plan was activated by new rm mr hassam sharif[protected]

      As dedicated rm he took few details to be posted in their portal which were not proper. He also informed me that he will inform me incase he is on weekly off.

      2. I called him up on 6th jul 2020, but could not reach him. Never got any call back too.
      3. On 7th jul 2020 after lots of try i could able to connect with mr sharif and explained him the things to be completed and he agreed. I have the recording too. He never updated the same in portal. I sent him in mail too, but he never did the necessary things.. It s quite frustrating.
      4. On 8th jul 2020, he never did any changes and i informed the same to another senior person mr gopal krrishna.-[protected]
      I explained him the same. He advised me to send a mail with all concerns with escalation. I did the same.

      Issues in nobroker:
      1. On 4th july i paid money, but plan was activated on eod 5th july after lots of calls and followup
      2. On 6th july i tried to contact sharif, but could not reach him.
      3. On 7th july i could contact sharif after sevaral calls and informed about the security deposit issue. He
      Was supposed to send a mail. As i didn't receive the mail, i sent him a mail with datils. But no changes happened.
      4. No updates found on 8th july too. No calls from sharif after 4 days too.



      5. Today again i tried to reach mr sharif several time but failed to connect. I informed the same to mr gopal for solution. As per gopal's instruction i sent escalation mail to concerned team and cc' to gopal.

      6. Today after long wait i got a call from another rm mr sahid and his behavior was very unprofessional. Again i escalated the matter and got a call from mrs shavana whoc is the supervisor of mr sharif. I expalined the same to her. She informed me that the plan is not yet activated. I was really shocked with the kind of carelessness attitude of nobroker people. I immediately told her that i am totally frustrated and please do the complete refund. She said she had informed her mmaager mr rajkumar.

      7. I got a call from mr rajkumar[protected], and i found him not trustworthy as after all harassments to customers he tried to defend his people.
      8. Finally on 10th jul 2020 mr rajkumar arranged a call from new rm mrs nazima begum from nobroker.
      I had discussion with nazima and decided the final rent, deposit etc. Asked her send a mail to me she sent the confirmation mail.
      9. On 11th jul 2020 i got a tenat from other source which was matching as per the amount provided to nobroker (Mrs nazima). I informed the same to nazima on 12th jul 2020 and she asked me to sshare the rent agreement. I shared the same on 13th jul 2020. She accepted that and sent to finance for refund.
      10. After lots of follow ups she confirmed me that finance approved the refund and asked me to share a cancelled cheque so that the amount will be refunded to my account.
      11. After that i have followed several times with nazima and she used to say that the approval is done, it is in process for final refund process.
      12. On 7th aug 2020 i sent a mail for status, and i got replied from nazima that finance rejected the claim which is really pathetic and unprofessional.

      So i request you please help me on this.

        Hi i transferred 40k from my credit card and while paying they have not asked for any document but after payment i received email saying to upload document, i said i don't have document then i got confirmation that after deduction of 2% we will refund your money, again i called customer care i explained each and everything to one lady, simply i said why nobroker not asked after document at the time of payment it should be mandatory then she said i understand ok i will talk to my team you will get full refund. But after sometime i received mail saying your money is refunded after deduction of 2% this is fraud.

                This was the message i had received on 31st july, on initiating the rent payment from the nobroker rent pay platform.

                You have successfully initiated your august rent payment of inr 52000.00 (Processing fees of inr 520.00 charged extra). We will deposit the money to beneficiary's bank account by 03-aug (Mon) and notify you once it is credited. Please quote nrp-2457689 for assistance.

                Till date the amount is not credited. I have been following up with nobroker, they are saying that the payment has been marked suspicious and they will resolve it. I am calling since yesterday, half the time there is no one to receive the call and by god's grace when they are answering, they are saying, we will get it resolved, but it's not happening. I am forced to suffer from the embarrassment, from my landlord on the rent credit.

                They are highly unresponsive and their executives have no clue what to say, as all the time the standard response is, we will escalate it, god knows where is this getting escalated.

                  I had taken ownership plan on june 18th 2020. Initially on the 1st week there were around 4 tenants who showed up to see the property. Then after that not even single person came to visit the property. The relationship manager 1st rakesh gowda was not following up on any of the leads and i used to take initiative and ask/update on the leads. Then got the relationship manager got changed but it didnt help me much since again there were no leads. So for 1 month there is no show of tenants to visit the property and my ownership plan is getting over in 1 week. Now the no broker is telling the plan covered no show which is insane. They are not ready to refund the money also. I wasted my money taking ownership plan and my house is also vacant.

                  Hence i would like to lodge complaint that owners are mis-used and mislead by no broker to take ownership plan and then the kind of service they provide is pathetic. No one come to visit the property and plan gets over. And we owner are made fools by shelling out money in the name of trust and brand.

                  I want full refund of my money with the mental and emotional damage caused by no broker

                    Was in contact with Mr. Syak Iqbal since Saturday i.e. 1st August 20. He briefed me about two services, first the prepaid plan and second the post-paid plan. Since it was Saturday, I said let me look for myself for couple of days since it was weekend. After spending two days I planned to avail the services. On 3rd I called the customer care and requested a call back from Mr. Syak, he called me at 06:03 pm and asked me to go with the prepaid plan. Proactively he shared me the payment link as well. Once the payment was successful, he called me for the confirmation. The conversation started smoothly until he said that I have been assigned with an area manager. When I requested that can the area manager be changed with a male person as until then I was under impression that the one area manager assigned to me will be physically assisting me in finding the desired flat. I asked for the replacement only thinking about the toll taken and the security if in case of late hours while searching the property. Shockingly this was the moment where I came to know that there would not be any “PHYSICAL ASSISTANCE” and the assistance would be only provided online. Then I enquired that why was I not told about this earlier before doing the payment. He kept on arguing and kept on saying that I had briefed you regarding this earlier. I said NO you never briefed me on this ever and had you did so, I would have reconsidered as I wanted a physical assistance since I have limited knowledge of the area and surroundings. But he kept on justifying himself that he had informed me about this earlier. Later I told him, had he briefed me I would have never requested to change the area manager since she would have been online and anyways would not be physically assisting me. Mr. Syak had nothing to say on this. When I asked to transfer the call to his superior, he denied. Later when I asked for the refund, he said that its non-refundable. After lot of persuasion he said that the quality team will investigate the call record and accordingly the senior will be calling. A guy named Ashish, confirming himself to be senior called me at 8:10 pm and started briefing about the plan. When I inquired as why the plan was not briefed properly, he hung the phone and never called again. Today its nearly 24 hours since the plan got active, still have not received a single call from Nobroker assisting me on my search. If this is the service on DAY ONE, I wonder what kind of services anyone can expect from them. The main motto of extracting money had been achieved by giving false commitment and misguided information. I request the management to refund my money Rs. 3538.82 at the earliest without wasting a day.

                            Payment of my refund money back plan is still pending from more than four months after my plan expired on march 9th 2020 in spite of sharing my bank statement still the amount is not transferred.

                            Repeated complaint to know why my refund is not done for months. Finally i start to proceed to send notice to no broker relationship manager akshay called me on friday 15 july 11:43am and said need some time to check and will get back within 48 hours but he has not turned up i am sure the same old stories will continue from no broker which is been happening from 4 months i have given four months time is it not enough.

                            Even if it takes years i am not going to leave no broker for giving me mental harassment. This is to inform if refund is not done i am going to send notice to owners of no broker who are responsible. Along with my refund / lawyer charges/ court charges all to be born by no broker.

                            For all service request given below from 1st april till 14th july i get in reply as below.

                            I have made more than 65 calls to no broker to know the status but no one answered my calls or they called me back. The mail sent by akshay had wrong transfer details. Its clear that the amount is transferred to another person account.

                            2. Mail received on april 23th 2020 that refund is processed which has not happened till date 9th july 2020.

                            3. Refund mail sent by akshay had wrong order id[protected] with wrong transaction date mentioned as 20th may wrong transaction time as 1:16 pm.

                            Finally i found out the mistake that amount is transferred to another person account how can no broker be so careless it such pain to follow for more than 4 months. Any how details are given above. Refund my amount to correct account immediately.

                            Last time when i have given the complaint you have mentioned as resolved what is resolved nothing dont give fake information to consumer complaint portal i have cleared said i have shared the bank statement. I have not recieved any call or mail till today[protected]

                            Repeated complaint to know why my refund is not done for months.Finally i start to proceed to send notice to no broker relationship manager akshay called me on friday 15 july 11:43am and said need some time to check and will get back within 48 hours but he has not turned up i am sure the same old stories will continue from no broker which is been happening from 4 months i have given four months time is it not enough.

                            Even if it takes years i am not going to leave no broker for giving me mental harassment.This is to inform if refund is not done i am going to send notice to owners of no broker who are responsible .Along with my refund / lawyer charges/ court charges all to be born by no broker.

                            For all service request given below from 1st april till 14th july i get in reply as below.

                            i have made more than 65 calls to no broker to know the status but no one answered my calls or they called me back .The mail sent by akshay had wrong transfer details.Its clear that the amount is transferred to another person account.

                            1. My order id :[protected] transaction date 9 jan 2020 transaction time 10:17 am

                            2. Mail received on april 23th 2020 that refund is processed which has not happened till date 9th july 2020.

                            3. Refund mail sent by akshay had wrong order id[protected] with wrong transaction date mentioned as 20th may wrong transaction time as 1:16 pm .

                            Finally i found out the mistake that amount is transferred to another person account how can no broker be so careless it such pain to follow for more than 4 months .Any how details are given above .Refund my amount to correct account immediately.

                            Last time when i have given the complaint you have mentioned as resolved what is resolved nothing dont give fake information to consumer complaint portal i have cleared said i have shared the bank statement. I have not recieved any call or mail till today[protected]

                              I have paid rent of rs 25000 to owner account on 21/07/2020. They have charged 1%processing fees for above amount.. But amount was not credited to owner account.. I have checked customer care, they said, we need rental agreement to credit.. The same has submitted on 21/07/2020.. After submitting the documents, the amount was not credited.. Again i ahve checked customer care, they said, wait for 24 hours.. We have waited till 23/07/2020... Still amount has not credited.. No one is capable to provide the correct solution and always saying terms and condition.. I never seen this type of customer care.. They don't know how to response the customer.. Almost 3 days completed, the amount still kept hold...

                              Hi Sridharan, payment is only kept on hold when the transaction is marked suspicious as per the system & the payee is unable to provide us with a valid rental agreement.                               With regard to the above reference number, I made a rental payment of
                              ₹6, 500 on 7.8.2020. After the deduction from my credit card, the payment to my owner was withheld asking for rental agreement. I uploaded it on 8.8.2020. The payment is still not processed after 4 days. If I cancel the payment, they are levying 2% charges and the loss for the customer would be 3% given the 1% convenience charge already charged while making the payment. This "No Broker" platform looks to be involved in many fraudulent transactions and illegal activities. Complaints galore online. Their customer care sucks. It takes ages to connect calls, then automatically cuts after 10 minutes of holding. There's no complaint number given.

                              We might be constrained to initiate legal proceedings at the Consumer Redressal Forum as it amounts to deficiency of services to compensate for the waste of time, mental agony, acts amounting to "the trader resorting to unfair trade practices" and "deficiency of service" as per the
                              The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 and several other applicable laws like the Weights, Standards & Measures Act. There has been an infringement of rights of the consumer.

                                I had made an advance payment on the 7th of july and scheduled the movers and packers for the 14th on july 2020 in mumbai for shifting intracity from tardeo to panvel.

                                I made multiple calls for getting details of the agent for the movers and packers all no broker customer care agents kept saying they will ask someone to get in touch with me.

                                Two days prior to the shifting they blocked my mobile number.

                                I started calling from other nos to have someone get me details of the scheduled move. They kept saying someone will get back, all false. Noone got back

                                I must have made close to 100+ calls.

                                They then sent me an email one day prior to the move confirming the same, however didn't give no of the movers and packers agency and sent customer care no (Check attachment)

                                I had to book another movers and packers on urgent basis at an exorbitant price if rs 15000 more as i had no option.

                                After all this a no broker agent called me on the day of ahiting itself to ask how is the shifting going on and i told him what had happened and that i am going to the consumer forum for justice. He said he will escalate the matter and get my refund done. Very conveniently he sent me an email stating that i cancelled the booking and that token will be refunded when it was a clear case of no show by the movers and packers. I haven't got any refund yet

                                This is a scam of an agency. No one point contact and different people answer calls. They stop answering calls once they get advance.

                                I demand a fair compensation for the mental and financial stress we went through during the lockdown. Multiple calls, scams and clueless agents and paying a bomb for urgent shifting.

                                  Please note that one fraud transactions was done at nobroker technologies from sbi credit card on 21 st july 2020 around 5-7 pm. Kindly cancel this transactions as it was fraud and all relevant details were submitted to sbi cards team and police station kopri, thane. Please find the details of transaction.
