On august 1st 2020 i used nobroker movers and packers to shift from nikoo homes-1 bhartiya city to footprints, chokannahali as it was the cheapest option i could find for local movement in bangalore. My customer reference no : hspm-861775
They assigned a movement partner - aksa alliya packers and movers. (Babu: [protected]) and assured me that the movement experience will be good and insurance is not required for such a short distance. Trusting what i heard, i booked the service without insurance.
Apart from the horrendous movement experience, a few glaring highlights
- the booking as communicated by nobroker on call was for 3 helpers + 1 driver. The movement partner arrived with 6 people total out of which 1 person was mentally disabled. (This was admitted by movement partner after being summoned to police station for questioning post reporting theft of items)
- after payment was done to nobroker, the vendor named babu was furious that it was not done directly to him and proceed to verbally harass me over the phone while his labours waited in the new society i just moved into. After calling nobroker customer care (+91-[protected]) and post a gruelling hour later, the issue was resolved.
- a week after cleaning the mess they made and rearranging things i have discovered that thefts have taken place during the movement. Total amount of goods stolen is amounting to almost rs 30, 000. Most expensive stolen item is a smartphone: nokia 7 plus, i have the box and bill but phone has vanished, and a wonderboom bluetooth speaker. On contacting nobroker, they were quick to shift the blame to me for not personally carrying valuables but after explaining to them that a used phone in a box in my wardrobe was not as important as cash or jewellery at that time, they quickly shifted the blame to the movement partner for legal action.
- police complaint registered in sampegahalli police station against the movement partner. Lost article (La) report no. 094843/2020 on 07/08/2020 for the missing phone as it is the only thing that can be tracked by police. Movement partner and labours involved were summoned to police station on 09/08/2020 for questioning. No desirable outcome achieved.
Desirable resolution is for nobroker to be held responsible for misleading customers with false promises and taking zero accountability for thefts and reimbursement for the total amount of goods stolen either from nobroker or the movement partner. I can provide box and bill of everything that is stolen as proof of ownership.

Updated by Craig Dcosta Received call from NoBroker team today (September 1st 2020) According to them, this is the first time such a case has happened with a customer since they started their business and their reply was to wait for Police to track the stolen phone before proceeding further. They did not inform what resolution they would provide even after asking and Since those summoned to Police Station were clearly informed what would happen if the phone is switched on and found with them, there is high possibility that they may have already destroyed it or thrown it somewhere else by now. Highly doubt that there will be any resolution from NoBroker or their Movement Partner for this theft that has taken place.
