Oyo rooms has one of the worst customer service portals of any company i have interacted with. I booked an oyo room for my parents who were traveling to goa. They did not relay the booking to the hotel even though i got the confirmation. At the hotel, they told us they could not reserve the room for us and made us pay again for an in-house booking since no confirmation showed up at their end. After all of this, oyo transferred our customer service call no less than 4 times and no one picked up after the call was transferred. It's been 45 minutes and i still haven't been able to reach anyone. They refuse to waive the cancellation fee of one night. Never book oyo! This is my second experience like this.

    Dear sir.
    I have booked Oyo hotel 2837through my Oyo booking id WPSB3847 from 26 to 29 nov. At Goa for the name of Kirit patel.

    Today evening I saw that in Oyo app my hotel booking is cancelled without Intimation or any msg. So that I urgently call the customer care for the same, & they told me your booking is cancelled due to hotel issue & also tieup is ended with hotel. SO,
    We have modify your booking at other property without my permission they booked other budget hotel oyo 24240.
    Sir, i have paid for 3 star resort hotel & plz booked same category hotel & same location for the same.

    Also in our group 4couple are handicapped & also my travelling schedule as per hotel 2837,

    So plz booking as my same hotel, or other same resort hotel near same area. Or after booking plz refund my balance amount in my bank account.

      I had booked a room in oyo hotel capital 0 15351 vikram palace for 23rd nov-24th nov through makemytrip app. When i reached their reception at 7 am, they told me early check in is not possible as they have a lot of rush due to some festival. Completely understandable.

      I waited till 10 am in their reception and then thought it better to complete my work and then come back after 12pm. When i reported back at 1:15 pm, apparently the reception is not willing to talk to me even after i kept showing them my booking and supposedly they told the mmt people they don't have any tie up with them. The owner has other ideas, he said when he could have customers paying 5000 bucks, why should i give a room to a guy who has booked for 1500, even though its a confirmed booking. And they were willing to entertain other customers who have come after me and given them rooms but not willing to talk to me.

      So after whatever self-respect i had left, i left their hotel and promised never to set foot in an oyo again. All these marketing campaigns, big words centered around customer service and a huge sales team would not mean a singe thing if you can't even talk to the customers in a kind manner. I am not pissed off about the room neither concerned about the fact that i didn't sleep for 24hrs or had a meal only at 5pm.

      I expected the @oyo people to be at least explain it to me or apologize to me but i guess that's just too much to expect from them. Congratulations oyofor truly on the path to become a corporate devoid of any human touch.

        I have booked a townhouse room in oyo mobile app from 7th dec, 2018 till 11th dec, 2018.

        The total amount shown for this booking in oyo mobile app is rs. 2276/-, after making the full payment, my room was not confirmed and received an email from oyo team stating i need to pay remaining amount of rs. 5324/- as the total booking amount is rs 8000/-

        On checking with oyo customer care neither they respond back with valid reasons nor they took it seriously.

        Even after providing all screen shots they didn’t look into this matter and would like to mention that this room was booked under an introductory offer (Check-ins valid from 7th – 21st dec “coupon code – oyoth499”).

        Enclosed all the screen shots along with terms & conditions of this offer shown is oyo mobile app, after satisfying all the terms & conditions oyo force customer pay extra amount.

        This is completely an unethical behaviors of oyorooms.

        Most shocking part is, there is no senior’s management point of contact in case of your issue not resolved or unhappy with the oyo team.

        I am receiving a call from OYO sale team asking for OYOROOMS reservation, this showcase that OYO is more interested on sale but failing to provide equal weight age on customer service

        I did received a call from OYO team and informed that i can go ahead with new booking (Booking No. YJUX4697) as the technical issue is resolved, but after making new booking the issue still exists, though the coupon code used earlier OYOTH499 is not working and tried my new booking with OYOTH999 where i need to an extra amount of Rs 1520/-

        Also received an SMS from OYO that "within 48 hrs the paid amount will be refund if the amount was not paid fully" my question here is when OYO can process the refund within 48 hrs in case any payment dispute why not OYO can fix any technical issue related to payments within 48 hrs ? i believe you are suppose fix it ASAP

        Have also sent couple of chaser email to OYO escalation team & to Mr Reman Rai (Guest Experience Manager)

        Please do let me know if you can't resolve this issue as its keep pending from last three weeks

          Sir we booked hotel samrat (Oyo 12268) at shimla for 19 oct 2018 and for 2 nights... At first we booked 7 rooms for 18 people and the price we paid was 26784... But due to some difficulties and issues our 5 members couldn't go... And we made a slight change and booked 5 rooms for which our price became rs19218... Its been more than a month our money (Rs 7566) has not been returned... Sir pls check and give us the reply as soon as possible otherwise action will be taken...

            @jagograhakjago_ i have booked from oyo a room from oyo i go for check-in and the property manager denied me and insulted me (As i receive the reason for dening they are saying you rates our company less ratings.

            (Jb oyo mea check in krne jao to koi hospitalalty feel in hoti they treated vary bad)
            Also they are not responding i put 50 msgs to oyo

              I stayed at The OYO 9960 Kubeera palace in Hyderabad. The staff is lousy and lazy (they were napping in the lobby one afternoon).

              We asked them to clean our room as it was very dirty - there were huge cobwebs and webs of dust on our curtains and the room smelt very dirty. We asked for room freshener many times but they did not bother to give it.

              We ordered coffee worth 45/- to our room and paid the boy 100/- he never bothered to get back the change and after repeatedly asking the reception they said they didn't know which boy it was.

              Overall a disgusting service, people and hygiene levels.

                My registered mobile number with oyo is [protected] and email is [protected]@gmail.com. I booked room in Shimla from 19|/12/2018 to 21/12/2018. I called again to customer care to postpone my booking from 20/12/2018 to 22/12/2018. I requested oyo to adjust the amount I paid to the new booking. The customer officer forwarded call to higher authorities. But they did not give any answer by hiring the call and disconnected. I again called many times . The same was happened again again. The last time their behavior was very harsh. I booked rooms with oyo many times . This was a worst experience in my life. I have complete good will about your. Definitely I post my experience in social medias and other medias and complaint to consumer protection forum

                  I ve made 2 books with oyo for 7 th nov to 10 nov and 10th nov to 11 th nov and when i book i provide my gstn details to oyo.. After check out when i ask the bill with manager at hotel anupama manager he said oyo will provide bill..

                  After giving so many reminders on e mail, phone calls to oyo they r just gving assurance that there team is working on issue..

                    I made two booking both with same issue

                    The application showing to book townhouse @inr 569 for double occupancy by applying coupon code oyoth499 (Screenshot attached).

                    I was asked to pay the same amount on the app.

                    Application is linked with paytm. So it added the same amount automatically and the same is deducted after adding the amount in paytm.

                    However the booking is not confirmed and asking for amount of rs 920

                    Oyo team is not assisting in this issue...

                      Investigative team,

                      Dated 22nd oct'18, i had a booking at oyo 7742 the hotel marina for 1 classic (2x) room for 1 night only, on booking id: jyhm9640

                      During this period of stay, 1 brand new shirt went missing. I had worn it while checking in and it was the only piece which stayed out of the bag during the night minus the joggers i got into for the night, following morning i left for work, depositing my luggage with the hotel staff.

                      Even after filing a complaint ticket with oyo, the issue was not looked into thoroughly and was closed after a short call with the manager, who himself

                      Very apparently here a hotel staff, has taken undue benefit of my diverted attention.

                      Possible resolution, find the staff involved with cleanup of the room and penalize him or reimbursement of an approximate amount of the shirt that i've had to suffer the loss of, which stands at appx rs. 2625/-
                      Piece of clothing details :- formal shirt, royal blue, size 39, satin finish.

                      Please look into it.

                      I was contacted and the pormised action has not been taken yet. Even though the pormising customer care individual says it is being sent right away.

                      The techniques to harass a customer are noteworthy, I personally expected much better from oyo.

                      Please make sure that the mail enquiring my bank details to send me the refund (as converyed to me over the call) is processed at the earliest.

                        I booked a oyo a hotel named "meera mahal"through one of my friends named genaram choudhary"on 4-nov-2018. I received an e-mail confirming the same.

                        When i called oyo in the 9th november, 2018 morning to inform that i will be able check-in late. Oyo assured me that they will inform the hotel. Then, again in afternoon, i thought i should call the hotel directly. When i called"meera mahal", the reception told me that there is no booking on my name. And, they have sent back more than 10 guests of oyo since morning. I was shocked to hear that as i was with my family, parents (One more than 60 yrs and mom-around 60) along with kid. Still, i thought i should go to the meera mahal hotel to check things as i had given money before-hand and i didnt have any choice!

                        When i reached there, i was told that it has been months since they have dis-continued their association with oyo. I argued that i booked the hotel on 4-nov-2018 and have paid entire amount (Confirmation attached). They told that they have not received any money as it goes directly to oyo and i should speak to oyo. When i asked for proof that they are no longer working with oyo then they gave me e-mail copies of their conversation with oyo. The same is attached herewith. Thereafter, i called oyo call centre ; they kept me waiting to more than 20 min for each call and i made around 5 calls. So, i was kept waiting for 1 hr or so and then, i was told that they have made an alternate arrangement (Without giving any choice to me) in heera court hotel. As it was evening and i had no choice so, i moved into heera court. When i checked in hotel firstly they gave options of rooms in two different floors. As i was with my old parents; i insisted that our rooms should be adjoining as i need to take care of them. Thereafter, adjoining rooms were allotted to me. To my dismay, the rooms were in pathetic condition with all dirt on fan, bed etc. (Pics attached) since, i had no choice, i stayed there with my family. I paid inr 8690/- for 2 rooms.
                        My questions are following:
                        1. When the tie-up was discontinued between oyo and meera mahal. How did oyo took the booking in advance all money paid.
                        2. And, when oyo knew that meera mahal hotel is no longer taking any oyo guests and then, they should have informed me a before and should have given me a choice to select another hotel as per my liking beacuse i made booking through oyo after duly checking the room pictures and other facilities.
                        3. Who is responsible for all the pain my family and i have gone through. I was waiting with my family at"meera mahal"reception for more than 1 hour wondering what should i do.
                        4. We went for family vacation and it turnout to be a nightmare; who will is responsible for this?
                        5. After paying so much money, we expect at least clean rooms. This basic facility was also not provided. Who is responsible for this. Doesn't oyo have certain standards or quality checks for its hotels?
                        6. Why a customer should bear all this when he is paying whatever oyo charges?
                        7. If there is any dis-agreement between oyo and hotel, why would customer suffer on such account.

                        Let me put it in legal way: services provided by oyo were deficient. (The services hired or availed of or agreed to be hired or availed of by a consumer suffer from deficiency in any respect)

                        As per clause 2 (G) of"the consumer protection act, 1986","deficiency" means any fault, imperfection, shortcoming or inade­quacy in the quality, nature and manner of performance which is required to be maintained by or under any law for the time being in force or has been undertaken to be performed by a person in pursuance of a contract or otherwise in relation to any service;

                        As per aforesaid clause, this is a clear case of deficiency in services, and, therefore, as a consumer i am liable for compensation including but not limited to hotel charges and there are many more damages which may be claimed like the mental agony my older family members and the kid and i suffered and much more.
                        I would request oyo to look into this matter and provide me adequate compensation.

                          We 3 people booked oyo room in goa, oyo, 809 sunstay beach resort near candolim health center... There receptionst [ jakrin ph: [protected]] cheated us taking extra money for water sports package when we asked him about it he was so rude and doest even have common sense and used very bad words on us (Most abuse words) and said we can't even give complaint on him cause he doesn't care oyo team, if seriously oyo is well structured company in the society you guy should take action on him and his manager wilson [ph [protected]] we are trusting now that u guyz will take action if not we already lost respect on oyo we have all the proofs that we cheated and disrespected until unless it reaches ceo of oyo we won't leave this weekend will take all social media support to show how oyo culture is.

                            Booking id inrg9371. Checked in on 8.11.18 at oyo tirupati 6660 and checked out on 9.11.18. On returning to hyderabad i found that i was missing a few things which i did not realise while i was there. I can do nothing about this now as i should have noticed and taken up the matter there itself. I am bringing this to your notice as it should not be repeated.in the morning i called [protected]. They gave me the number [protected], the same number that i had but, repeatedly i got the message that it is not in service.
                            The items missing were a 1/2 lr. Pink colour steel water bottle with a turqoise blue lid, a yellow tupper ware plastic box, a white and purple folding umbrella with minnesota writted on it and a small massage oil bottle.
                            They are small items but, such incidents should not happen. We lose trust in oyo.
                            I only wanted to speak to the hotel manager about this but, since i am not able to get through to them i have lodged this complaint.

                              In voice recoded call they told free breakfast but later they denied and asked pay 125. Very bad room service and verry bad blanket and pillow smells bad. And no response from the costumer care. Oyo 6422 luxor park. I have booked online and i called them for confirmation. And they told that we will have free complimentary breakfast for all the days. But now they are saying they don't have any voice calls recorded... And it is deliberately cheating and encashing by to rooms. Please resolve the issue

                                I had a stay at OYO 2229 Hotel Golden Wings, 10, Krishna Niwas, Near Delhi Gate, Udaipur on Check-in 12 Nov 18 and Check-out 14th Nov 18. OYO charged me Rs. 8686 for 2 Adults and 2 Kids (3 Yrs and 8 Yrs). When I reached to the hotel at 10:30 AM and I was been told that room check-in time is 11 AM. so I preferred to go for site seeing and return evening around 6:30 PM. And I was shocked when I saw the room. I had following issues -

                                1. OYO uploaded not real pics of room. The pics shown of the room was not allocated to me. BIG LIAR. When I complaint about this to AGM of OYO Udaipur (Mr. Nilesh Bhargav). He said this is a technical issue. My Response: Software can handle this easily, PLEASE DON'T FOOL PEOPLE.

                                  My booking was in 15971 heera holiday inn on 3rd sep 2018.
                                  Sequence of the events.
                                  My booking was done by oyo customer care person that guy confirmed one double occupancy room and it was communicated that at the time of check out i will pay the entire amount. On that day my flight was delayed by 2 hours, at 10 pm on 3rd sep 18 my accompany friend reached for check in and she was denied for check-in. The receptionist was so rude even don't know how to talk with people, he said first you paid me full amount and you both the parson come together then i will give you check in. She was agreed to pay some amount because she don't have that much, after also that person not allowed to check in. I called to customer care so many times for payment through online they pick up my call and keep in awaited for more then 20 min (Two times) and disconnect the call once again i called and repeat the same happening again but they are unable to manage my check in.in the mean time the hotel receptionist insulted and said her to go out from hotel and she gone out.
                                  How a hotel person can behave like this??
                                  At 10:00pm how a person can said to go out to a alone girl without thinking what she will do now??
                                  Being at responsible position of public assistant where is your control on hotels??

                                  Please escalate this matter to high priority and consider a serious matter as i am looking on it. Waiting for your feedback.

                                    The application showingto book townhouse @inr 599 for double occupancy by applying coupon code oyoth499 (Screenshot attached).

                                    I was asked to pay the same amount on the app.

                                    Application is linked with paytm. So it added the same amount automatically and the same is deducted after adding the amount in paytm.

                                    However the booking is not confirmed and asking for amount of rs 2000.

                                    Oyo team is not assisting in this issue.

                                      It’s already nearing 1year, we raised our problems faced in oyo stay at goa.

                                      I am sorry to say, we spent our vacation gathering information & sending pictures of how pathetic our stay was at goa with all these issues:

                                      1. No water
                                      2. Frequent disconnection of electricity
                                      3. Not hygiene
                                      4. No hygienic breakfast
                                      5. Exhaust fans not working and rooms are totally smelly and impossible to stay.

                                      So after calling your customer supports numerous times, still, we have not received a full refund of our stay. Now we don't even get any response.
                                      We all work for reuters news team if this is not resolved asap. We will publish the article about pathetic oyo stay & irresponsible customer support.

                                        Our oyo andaman package id was pkg-nfxd-5736. We paid in full before starting the journey as oyo said that this is what their policy is. Indeed despite of reservations against such prepayment, we believed in the brand name and went ahead. We took full package including tour planning etc from oyo. They issued the vouchers and details of the trip with mutual agreement. We never wanted to spend more time at port blair as can be seen from our journey details. Total package we paid was 263, 400 /- (Two lakh sixty three thousands four hundred rupees).
                                        Following were the details sent to us by oyo which we agreed upon with repeated assurance from oyo about proper take-care of the trip and also that the hotels will be in good and livable reasonable shape.
                                        With very first day, we felt of problems from oyo reason was rude behavior of their driver on 9th november 2018. We requested him to stop for “ice-cream”/ “coffee” after tiring journey and visit of sound and music show at cellar jail at port blair. He denied and said that this is not in itinerary. We reported it to oyo that at least in a day, we shall get some time to take tea/coffee.
                                        Response by oyo (Mr. Abhishek/ayush): we are sorry and will take care of this issue and see that it never occurs.
                                        On 10 november 2018, we were supposed to board the ship/ferry for transfer to havelock island. We were told to check out the hotel at port blair and come out for boarding vehicle at 0900 am. We came out in the road (As suggested). Waited till 1030 am and then vehicle comes. Upon our arrival at port, vehicle left, no oyo representative is around and cisf sees that ticket handed over to us belonged to 11 november 2018 instead of 10 november. We reported to oyo team and at 1300 h, oyo sends a guy ‘salman’. This person kept talking about 2 hours and to tell us that we have to stay at port blair and only next day afternoon, we will get the same ferry which they booked. We were taken to another hotel for a forced stay at port blair. We got a call from oyo saying that they are sorry and will upgrade our hotel stay etc.. Etc…
                                        Now on 11 november 2018, we went to havelock and were given a scheduled hotel “havelock”. The hotel was awful. No hot water arrangements, no cleanliness, the one of the worst ever seen restaurant where we were supposed to take food. What do we do? Stay forcefully… that’s it.
                                        On 12 november, we were taken to radhanagar beach at 0530 am. We enjoyed the beach for 30 min and then were suggested by oyo rep (Mr. Vineet) to go for scuba diving and then directly from there we shall go to take ferry for neil island. We were dropped at scuba diving location at 0700 am. We followed the instructions in good faith, went to scuba and could come back at 0800 am only. Upon our return, mr vineet said that we have missed our ferry. A great feeling came when he said that we have to go on the “bhagya laxmi” ferry in black and by sitting on floor in open. He transferred 5 of our people to neil and sold rest of the tickets (As my people saw him selling other seats). He charged us 14000 /- (Rs. Fourteen thousands) for re-arranging the ferry tickets for rest 14 o[censored]s. We somehow boarded. To our dismay, at neil, our 5 old people who could not go for scuba, waiting for us for last 4 hours…. Why they could not be shifted to hotel?
                                        Later in evening we went to laxmanpur beach and liked it.
                                        13 november 2018, we went to bharatpur beach and enjoyed different rides. Somehow, we were told by mr shankar (Oyo rep) that 1030 am is our ferry back… we argued that it was supposed to be in afternoon as per the itinerary… he told us that this is how they got the ferry tickets. We had no other option but to say… ok…ok… when we came back to port at 1030 am, we were surprised that we have to go in two different ferry… in one of our ferry, our people were told to sit in open where we had 3 old people (Age 58) and one small kid of 1 year… how inhuman??? By this time, we understood that this is how we have to finish our trip and we shall agree here as well. We understood that oyo is no way a good operator to go for in next time.
                                        Upon arrival at port blair, we were picked up and put in havelock hotel. We understood that any demand will not be listened by oyo.. So we kept mum waiting for 14 november 2018, eagerly waiting for our flight back to mainland, our home.

                                        What we lost?
                                        Our valuable two and half days (Forceful stay at port blair 1.5 days, 0.5 day at havelock, and 1 day at neil).
                                        Our hard earned money could have been better utilized.
                                        & full trust on oyo.

                                        What we gained?
                                        Experience of a beautiful location….
                                        Experience that we shall avoid oyo.
                                        Believing these tour operators is a blunder... Better to book hotels on our own and take vehicle through hosting hotel.

                                        Anything repairable?
                                        No… but, we will send this letter at different forums for suitable compensation.
