I am using M30 since its launch without any problem hence purchased GALAXY M31S through Amazon, ordered on 06/08/2020 and rcvd on 12/08/21 . till July 2021 everything was fine .
Problem started in August 21( Few days before end of warranty period) with speaker not working but calling through headphones was smooth. I went to samsung gallery where they tried by inspecting the device but cudn't solve so adviced to visit service centre which is 15km from my place. After 1-2 days with a little shake the speaker started working, my friend adviced me to get the speaker cleaned which I got done at local mobile shop. for few days it worked fine and my warranty period was missed on 12 August 21 in today / tomorrow (due to long travel distance needing more than 2hrs of busy OPD Timings ), and a little tap working for starting speaker. Now when I was planning to visit the centre, speaker started working and MIC stopped. I had a chat with customer support whatsapp. they adviced me reset and other steps but did not solve my problem and then...
One morning Charging also stopped. Now I was forced to visit service centre at Nagpur. I visited centre [protected], Spectrum marketing on 06/10/2021, they told me to change the CHARGING BOARD (chargeable for 1500/-) which I agreed and left my phone there to get returned next day. On day of delivery my phone was not having DISPLAY, they told that after changing the Charging Board they found Display problem ( which I never encountered before) . We had tough argument and after paying Labour charge of Rs 150/- they handed over phone with no display.
Because I was not sure of Board Change, I didn't pay the board charges for which they had NOT FORCED ME ( If they changed the board they might not had given the phone without payment of board).
Disappointed harshly I went to other service centre no. [protected], Advance computer service centre and on 08/10/2021 I was initially told that my phone needed DISPLAY CHANGE but later I was informed that even after display replacement the problem persisted and needed PCB i.e MOTHER BOARD replacement. I had a tough time convincing the Service Head Mr Atul/Sandip to finally get the work done NON CHARGEABLE.
Few days went smoothly.
After couple of months problem of Hanging and Freezing issue aroused. Again I had to contact Service Head and sent the mobile to the same service centre where MB was changed on 29/12/2021. This time I was told about some CONNECTOR PROBLEM without external damage. Again I was straightway adviced MB change ( connector not replaceable) on chargeable basis. It was none of my fault and hence after long conversation on emails and mobile phone Finally service head Mr MOIN initiated NON Chargeable Repair ( Details not known ).
To my utter surprise and shock the SAME PROBLEM of HANGING/FREEZING/NOT RESTARTING was encountered in March/April 2022. I was on tour that time and at Pune, I visited service centre where the person did a Force Restart and the phone started working only for a day or two. I also tried several time the same method but FINALLY the phone was FREEZED and NOT RESTARTING AT ALL.
After submitting on 25/04/2022, I told the Service head straight forward that if at all there is hardware problem this time also, I am not willing to get it repaired even Free of Cost, but, instead appeal for Either Replacement of instrument or Refund of the amount. The attending service head Mr Pankaj Bhatt after getting update from service centre informed me of the SAME CONNECTOR DAMAGE this time also and keeping my request handed over the case to Higher Authority, Tanisha Madam. After knowing the details and my request she informed me about company's proposal of Partial Refund of Purchase Amount. She told the figure as Rs. 13700 apprx.
Why should I accept Partial Refund when Every time since FIRST COMPLAINT AROUSED in the warranty period there WASN'T ANY FAULT FROM ME AS CUSTOMER, THOUGH EVERY TIME IT CAME OUT TO BE HARDWARE PROBLEM WITHOUT EXTERNAL DAMAGE.
THUS I APPEAL FOR EITHER REPLACEMENT OF PHONE OR A FULL REFUND OF PURCHASE PRICE ALONG WITH JUSTIFIABLE COMPENSATION.
