Respected sir,

My name is mahesh i bought a song handset mobile phone on 13th May 2007 from Univercell mobiles in besantnagar Adyar.

My mobile phone was fallen in a rain water and its not worked at all. Then i took my mobile phone to the sony service station. They said the motherboard was to be changed and 65% of the money to be needed for change the motherboard.

But i really wonder why the branded and famour sony ercisson dont want to give any support or warranty for the water resistance. My brother who using motorllo phone and he never had anyproblem even if he dipped his phone in the water.

I am really disappointed and upset with sony ericsson as i Bought this phone by Monthly EMI and before the emi got over I lost my phone.

I dont know what i should do now. Please help me out if possible

      I have purchased Sony Speakers (Item #[protected] from ebay site but these were not genuine. I have opened a dispute with ebay but no action has been taken against the seller - he is still selling un-genuine products of reputed brands . Please advise me in the matter - what course of action can be taken against these fraud sellers. I am also surprised that Ebay has not taken any action in the matter as they are earning good commission on these sales.

        I have Hi Fi music system Model No DHC FL5D last in May ie/ 2006 i had problem with it's switches for which i contacted its service centre 'Teknika Electronics Dombivli''. System was attended and delivered to me but with new problem it's DVD section was not working properly. Every time i contacted service centre he used to give new exscuses from humidity to poor quality CD but was not able to repair perfectly afterwards he started avoiding my compliant and even roughly behaved some instances.I registered online compliant and dialled toll free number for my compliant but every time i was told Sony's person will contact me but never contacted me. At last i got phone number of there executive who was incharge of service department but when i contacted him second time when he failed to contact me he straight away said don't bother me by making calls. Later i was told to pay (at concession)for servicing of the machine whichwas damaged by them Why because company policy.Later on i started procedure for filling in consumer court but even by that there was no change in his attitude This shows that he was quiet experience in such kind of cases and i was not the first.During this complete episode he did not followed any guidelines stated by SONY in handling service compliant right from begining till end. But most distrubing thing is that he escaped and i received punishment by paying the expenses of repairing why because i blindly believed them because of brand loyalty and my music system was lying idle for 1 1/2 years. I have decided that from here onwards i will never bye SONY's product in my life. We Indians are not AT PAR with our counter parts in USA or Europe in treatment by this MNC.

          I purchased the W 580i set in the name of Biswarup Mohanty in the month of october 2007 but the battery backup was very bad so I went to the cell planet Shop which is situated at dolamundai, cuttack(orissa) and gave the set on 18/12/2007 to the executive of sony erricson Mr.Mukesh which he handed over to Mr. Anil Patra his TL the next day itself, but due to their negligience the set was submitted at the service centre and the job sheet was made on 22/12/2007 and till date they have not rectified my problem for which till date I am not having any mobile set with me.
          If this is the type of service you render to the customers then better stop selling your company products in our state.
          On 27/12/2007 I am going to file a case against them at the consumer court.
          Plz ensure it and reply back asap.

          The speaker option goes ON automatically and i will not be able to listen to other person nor does he get to hear...

          2. Extremely uneducated and ill mannered staff.
          3. Sony does not believe in warranty.
          4. Every phone landing there is a liquid damage phone, as if it rains heavily in delhi, and people protect them selves with Sony Mobile Phones.
          5. Poor Complaint resolution matrix.
          6.Openly challenging customer for misbehavior.

          Why donot we all file a case under MRTP act against sony erricson india for their superious service standards and demand compensation for all o[censored]s. We are are loosers as of now, but i believe united we can task them. Just to tell you, donot trust their representatives sitting out of chennai, they will fool you and haras you more.

          i am any ways filing a case against them, any one else with me.

            I had given a laptop (VGN-FS940), for repair on 18.12.07 at the sony authorised service center in Lajpat Nagar.
            It was promised that the laptop will be serviced at I will be informed the status within 48 hours.Till today (22.12.07) everytime I call up the customer care , I am told that the Laptop has been fixed and is under observation.I fail to undersatnd that what kind of after sales service does Sony belives in?? Does it take 3 days for Sony to identify a problem in Sony Product???
            On the service job sheet its written that all mondays will be a holiday , whereas today(saturday) when i called up the customer care i was told that the head office is closed due to some INTERNAL meeting at the office, and tomm(Sunday) again the office will be closed. I was suggested by the customer care representative that I can collect the laptop on Monday., But again the Lajpat Nagar center will be closed in Monday.

            I never expected this kind of poor service by Sony...

            i purchased a new vaio from gurgaon's authorized sony showroom and from the starting day it was having a problem regarding DVD writer .I have given vaio to gurgaon sevice center 10 days back and till date no response from the customer center .They are saying it is to be replaced and it will take only 2 days . Already 10 days have been passed and still they need more days to get it done . I do not know how many days they need to get DVD writer replaced .
            Sony give extended warrenty in approx. 6000 rs for 2 year if they can not maintain the service quality after sale so why sony is waisting time and money of customer . really very disappointing .
            Really I liked Sony Laptops But due to its poor after sale service.
            I will suggest even to my enemy to go for any other but not Sony Laptop.
            I don't know what there testers do before handing over the product to showrooms.
            And there Service Centers are one step farward. I had given them my Laptop 10 days back regarding replacement of DVD Writer and still they want more time.
            They say that they don't have Part and they have to take it from foreign, really very for poor customers like me.
            Dear readers go for any laptop or live without it but never purchase Sony or You will feel cheated.
            Sony higher authorities, Are you sleeping ? Close all your shops and stop making customer fool.
            Specially at least take back the dealership of your Gurgaon Service Center . I don't know they do, No response or status they tell me whenever I call them. Just say that It will be repaired but When?

            my son also purchesed one sony vaio PCG 5G 3L at us .unable to REPAIR. AT CHENNAI IN THE AUTHORISED SERVICE CENTRE THEY ARE TELLING THEY CAN NOT REPAIR STATING THE SONY PRODUCT PURCHESED AT US CANNOT BE REPAIRED AT INDIA EVEN THOUGH IT IS HAVING WARRENTY. THIS MULTI NATIONALS ARE SIMPLY CHEATING POOR INDIANS.

            Bhai log tum sab sahi ho. Bahenchod maine bhi VGN CS17G lia hai sala Kabhi kabhi Blue screen ho jata hai. Mai jab bhi custumer care walo ko phone karte hu to wo log aoni bahan ko bitha kar uski marwane ke lie chod dete hai.

            Sala agar sony ka MD agar mil jaye to pura LAP TOP uski gand me daal kar format mar dunga.

            Can anyone provide me their customer care no: or a toll free no: for bangalore location . these sony vaio people are so reluctant to check mails sent to them...y dont they close their bloddy product
            I totally sympathise...I have found Sony Customer service absolutely frustrating. My lap top( only 18 months old) has been out of service for months...first they told me to buy a new battery which was infuriating as others in my house with cheaper lap tops and had heavier use and were older had no problems with their battery. I replaced it (Very Expensive)and that was not the problem at all... I have had all emails to them unanswered since. If any one knows why a window keeps coming up saying 'switch off, take out battery, replace and switch on again ' please let me know as that has been the problem both before and after new battery. Cheers
            i am also having the sony vaio laotop.. it will affected due to some software or hardware problem.. i given to one sony service centre.. but those r not said any specific problem.. said just pay 38000 rupees or gave the laptop to where r u purchased.. i think last one year i am searching the good service centre..
            Well, the only advice i can give people is DON'T BUY ANY CRAP FROM SONY !
            I had 3 vaio laptops in 4 years time, they all died. Yes i'm an ! The first one i haved repaired, new motherboard, $800, 8 months later broke again. My brother and i bought the same sony TV, first his tv broke down, six months later mine. I have a sony video camera, it's broke allready twice, lucky i have an extended 5 year warranty on that camera.
            i got a sony vaio vgn cr363 the laptop sucks big time it releases enormous amount of heat while charging we can cook food wid te heat comin out i din expect tiz frm sony m totally dissapointed

            COMPLAINT : Sir I purchase sony CS35GN on 27th July 09 but after some time it shows following problems
            1. Screen not proper at bottom (It shows light from bottom side)
            2. Battery problem (in the specifications battery life should be continuous 3 hours but in actual it us up to 2 hours)
            3.System speed is also very slow

            I purchased sony laptop last year and its screen got defected within 6 months from the date of purchase.No prob!!For the first time i went to service station n there they entertained me well n i got my screen replaced on da same day.but soon after some days i found da same prob with my screen for which my screen was changed.But now wen i went to service station for replacement they refused to do so by saying "its da care of mishandling".i asked him if its da case of mishandling den how i got the replacement previously for da same prob.u must have said it earlier its da case of mishandling...i think i took da wrong decision to purchase sony product...in case of replacing faulty items under warranty period i found DELL provides much better service.

            I bought Sony Vaio VGN-NS 150J in Nov 2008.

            I am faced with a problem that the system restarts automatically.

            I tried formatting, but even the recovery disc doesn't work now. (In the past, I faced a similar problem and the recovery disc came to my rescue restoring my computer to its original configurations).

            I went and showed the laptop to Authorised Service center in Ahmedabad (Sachet Area), Gujarat, India. The customer service executive offered very little help. He could not identify the problem even after examining the laptop and said that the problem can be identified only if I keep the laptop with them for a week and still he was not sure if he could help me solve the problem.

            Where on earth am I expected to take my laptop for repair if the Sony Service Center cannot help me?

            i have vaio cr g series lap top and it has given me endless prob since purchase
            i m done wid recovery disks and all.
            by some means as i was outside india i cldnt extend my warrenty period and now my lap top is completely shut
            and wen i go to service centre they say its a prob with motherboard and an estimate of 20, 000 rupees with no warrenty at all for the changed component...
            i cant extend my warrenty by paying extra amount even, such is the policy of the company which is followed by no other manufacturer of lap tops in india...
            please tell me a via media for my problem thankyou

            Another bad experience with Sony Service Center. I have a Sony Erricsion P1i mobile. I got problem with It's display in May 2009. I submitted this to "Neeru Enterprises " sec-18, Noida and they said you'll get this after 2 weeks, after repairing. After lots of followups and visit till Aug, 2009, finally they said "YOU are being impatient, it takes time to repair, we don't have screens these days. Once we'll receive the screen we'll repair your mobile." Again He said " Yedi itni hin jaldi hai then apna mobile le jao". I saw one of the most harrashed and rude behaviour of a service executive. Even I complained this on sony Customer care. but don't know what action the took.

            Now I do agree, sony is one of the worst company, in terms of services.

            My mobile is still in the same condition till March, 2010, I am not going to purchase any sony probuct. I lost all my faith in its product and service.
            Am not impressed with the Sony Vaio aftercare service - a 2 year old laptop costing £800+ has a graphics problem. I visit my local Sony shop to be given the premium rate phone number of a call centre in Cairo, Egypt, who state there has been a NVidea graphics fault previously and should be repaired free of charge as warranty has been extended. I advise problem and am rung back on the wrong number given, I call back again (at 35p per minute) to be told it will be £230 to take the laptop and diagnose the fault. Then it could cost between £340 and £850 to repair. I think PC World at £229 per repair would be a better choice. Not a very impressive service for such a renowned company. After purchasing 2 Sony Viao laptops (daughter has one also) I shall steer clear in the future.
            Sony Sucks...I bought Sony E-series laptop only one month back... they said to make recovery disk but whenever i try i fails at exactly 23% saying unable to write DVD... my 4 DVDs are already wasted. i don't think there is any problem with DVD(which are sony product again) because every time it fails at 23%.

            i can't make partitions before creating a recovery disk.

            why Sony doesn't give OS and Driver CDs like dell, i have no idea.
            and then there is no service support.

            i am very disappointed with Sony.. my dad and sister uses HP and dell... both the laptops are working fine..
            only for the sake of change i went for vaio... and am getting screwed up.
            I have got Sony Vaio VGN-CS3AGH hardly 10 months old which i recently upgraded to Windows & from Vista. Now i am having issues with my screen flickering when i boot my system or start it from sleep. I contacted the Microsoft product support team and they informed that its not the Windows 7 issue but the drivers are not compatible with Windows 7. When checked on the website i didnt found any compatibel driver for my model. I dropped an email to Sony customer support and they replied that compatible Windows 7 is not availabe, since they have not tested Windows & for my model and they are not sure about the timelines for compatible driver availabiliy which is rubbish.

            On the website they promote "Sony Recommends Windows 7". Also my model figures in the list of eligible models for upgrade, then why these people dont have compatible drivers till now. The after sales service is very poort. The customer service numbers are invalid. Its a pain of owing a Sony Vaio Laptop. I will advise people not to buy Sony Vaio. Extremely poor after sales service.

            I bought the laptop from UK and when it is fully charged and turned on its working properly. But when the charging is over when I tried charging it for the first it has shown the charging status (blinking light) in charging adaptor but in couple of minuts it is stopped and it is not working now. If I take to the servicing centre (sony vaio) in India will they get it serviced free of cost as I am having warranty.. or they will charge any service charge or something...
            Sony service is most disgusting service I ever got. I gave my handycam 2 months back and everytime I call them for status. These people at lajpat nagar center are most pathetic I ever met. So lousy. I hate to go there to see there dirty faces but they don't change.
            i had baught a sony laptop on 12th aug 2010 and after one week my lappi was not working well so i had given to the service center they had changed my lappi hard disk, after three month again some problem occured and again hard disk is being changed the sony is not working well
            i am from chennai ..recently bought a sony vaio e series laptop..within one month its led display got shaking, when i approach service centre they said its broken by physical damage and warranty doesnt cover it, so you need to spend 13500 rupees in chrompet service centre, i again went to adyar service centre there they said 14039 rupees to repair it, and in ashok nagar service centre they said 15000 rupees, i dono how come these money varies from one service centre to another o[censored]niversal brand SONY, above all i am a loyal user of sony..mobile, mp3 player, i never got any problem previously, when i bought laptop and experienced problem with aftersales service i found the real face of sony's worst service, previously i will recommend my friends to buy sony vaio since it adds prestige..but here after i will tell them they can choose any other brand except sony, are we to break our new laptop??are we spending 42000 just to go in vain??those service centre executives not all responding, i really fed up with sony, being a student i found difficult to pay again rs.13500 for led display after a month of purchase of rs. 420000, pls higher authorities dont play with money of poor indian customers, i still feeling hard for my new laptop whenever i look into it, hope our government will make necessary steps to avoid indian customers from getting cheated by sony.

              I bought a Sony Ericsson w580i Mobile phone on 08/12/07. Just after one week the set was dead....
              Immediately I went to the sony ericsson service centre (Shyam Electronics) on 15/12/07.

              They said that the PCB was out and they told that it would be replaced as soon as they get it from sony ericsson company.

              After one week also they say the same thing that They did not get the spare yet from the company.

              To enquire this I called Sony Ericsson Customer Care, Chennai on 22/12/07 by 10.00 am. There one lady name THANUSHREE took the phone. She did not respond properly ....

              When I again called her she cut the phone. I thought may be technical problem and tried from another phone. Immediately she only took. As soon as i said my name she again cut.

              Is this the way Sony ericsson providing customer service? Really very much unsatified with the service.

              sony ericsson/ W580i — UNSATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE

              Dear Sir/Madam,
              it is brought to your kind notice that i purchased a sony erricson mobile somewhere in Nov. 2007 and ever since its date of purchase it is not performing upto the mark. The keypad has broken twice and also the keys on the upper pannel are not in very good condition. the charging point is not responding properly. This time I had to wait for 2 months to get the replacement for the damaged keypad.
              I am not satisfied with the performance of the handset and want a replacement as it had some maufacturing defects and my phone is within the warranty period. After all this is not the kind of product that i expected while purchasing it under the brand name of " SONY ". waiting for a positive reply.

              i have given this w580i set before 14 days and still didnt recieve the set yet now. this is a bad service and this will make acustomer to fear for buying the product.

              Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone — poor product sales

              Dear Sir,
              I am a customer of Sony Ericsson Mobile phone and purchased model W 580 I in 11, 200 INR from Hot Spot store in Dec 2007.

              First of all would like to know that I am a limited user of mobile phone and do not use too excessive in my daily routine.

              1- Within a short span of my use, I have encountered several flaws in this handset for example. Getting Hanged, not picking up call, not getting charged properly etc. I did not complained as despite these issues, I was able to get my work done through this handset.


              2- Suddenly one fine day, while working in the office, I noticed, this set has lost its display. I went to Sony Ericsson Service center GNH Telecom Noida and they identified as Liquid Damage.

              3- Although I was not convinced (but since I am not mobile technician), I agreed and handed over to them for repair on 09/08/08. They have asked me to wait for a week and confirmed to call within a week for delivery. I kept on waiting and then called on 19/8 and received a response that I will receive call in 10-15 minutes with the status. Unfortunately, I did not received any call and I kept on trying but no one picked up the phone OR bother call and update me with the phone status.

              4- Again I tried almost almost an hour today to get the status and after a VERY GOOD LUCK, I get through the line and online I received a very HARD, PATHETIC AND UNPROFESSIONAL response. “IT HAS NOT YET CORRECTED. WE DON’T EVEN KNOW WILL IT GET CORRECTED OR NOT. WE WILL CALL YOU IN NEXT 2-3 DAY”.

              5- I requested them to please get it faster but they sound like a govt. organization and said nothing can be done early.

              Now as a customer I would like to share with you my opinion about Sony Ericsson as a company for being a future customer.

              A) I am using mobile phones from almost 8 years but I never faced a complain like liquid damage in any of the handset used in the past. I am that much sincere enough that I will not use mobile in rain or will pour water or any other liquid and still say that no such incidence happened. The other possibility is that sweat has pass through while using. But if this is the case then I am absolutely feeling sorry to myself buying Sony Ericsson mobile phone.

              B) Facing all above issues regarding hand set performance and treatment after sales, I believe Sony does not have any responsibility for their customer and they are only concerned of selling the product at first time.

              I have sent thsi request to Sony Ericsson customer care 2 times but they did not even bothered to reply as checking with me as why i am upset or what the actual problem i am facing.

              Kindly check with them on my behalf and atleast make them aware that they have certain responsibility towards customer and they must listen and resolve the issue when customer are in trouble. Appreciate all your help in this regard.

              I have bought sonyericsson w580i(imei no:[protected] on 18/09/2008 from J.M.Electronics, guwahati, assam. At first the cell phone was overheated within a short time. The problem started the very next day of purchase. So i have consulted the problem with the service centre(assam, guwahati, opposite city mart) on 19/10/2008. I went to service centre late beause i was out of station. On the very day, they simply changed the battery and asked to use the cell for a time being. But it didn't solved the problem. Again on 21st i went there. Now they are commenting that the circuit board has to be changed. But they can't replace the cell instead they will relpace the circiut board. I did'nt knew that replacement can be done within 3 days of purchase, as no one told me in time of buying. As a result i agreed to do so(dated:21/10/2008). But after delivery, nothing changed and the problem turned worst(delivery date:05/11/2008). As a matter of fact, they said that they will deliver the cell within 10 days and will call me. But nothing such thing happened. Now along with the over heating problem, one new problem got added i.e. now network fluctuates. Overall there is no network on the cell. So i request u people to help me out as soon as possible as i m no millionaire to buy another cell. And also it will be very kind o[censored] i[censored] replace the staff members of your service centre that is located in guwahati, opposite city mart, assam. They behave very rudely with the customers and simply dont have knowledge about mobiles.

              I purchased sony ericsson handset from Rahul Electronics on 10/03/2007.Model of this handset is K-550i & serial no. is [protected].Sometime in the first week of November 2008 a message "insert sim card" started flashing on the screen & phone stopped function. So I gave the set for repairs to your official repair center through SRG Business Center.However the set was returned under caption "25-RUR".Code of the service center is 410921 & ASP code is E26 as seen from the job sheet.Following information is seen from this sheet warranty type -in warranty, fault code customer abuse.Various aspects coming under this category are water seepage, broken, burnt.However none of this happened to my hand set.I could remove & insert the sim card at the time of sending the set for repair.But when I received the set after so called repair from service center it became impossible to insert the sim card.The job sheet shows useless information such as start dt.10/11/08 14:03, complete dt.10/11/08 14:20 time taken for repair less than 24 hours.However symptom i.e. can't insert /remove sim card given in this sheet is totally false which be vouched by the owner of SRG Business Center.Action taken shows "sim tray damaged".Thus one can conclude that damage took place during repair only.As aresult of the shoddy work carried out by your official service center my hand set was rendered useless. Now I want compensation for the damage caused either in cash or by way of replacement of the hand-set.

              it's been just 7 months since i bought my w580i mobile phone from a sony ericsson dealer in trivandrum.inspite of the advice from friends about the fragile keypad of this phone i insisted on buying this phone because of the brand name and it's popularity.
              within 3 months the keys started to carck but still i was using the phone.and about 7 days back the problem occured.the phone would go off when the headset is connected and it was not getting charged.i approached the sony ericsson service centre at mettukkada, trivandrum and i was assured that i'll recieve it within 5 days to be precise on 6/01/09.i couldn't make myself available at the service centre that day so the next day i.e on 7/1/08 i rang them up and enquired about the phone.they told me there was some complaints with it's board so it will take some more time.that reply was okay for me but when i asked them how long it will take they couldn't tell me a date.the person at the reception told that they cannot tell me the exact date since the new board has to come all the way from chennai and that it is supplied on priority basis and so they cannot specify it.i would like to know if i'll get the phone replaced by a new one since it is in it's warranty period.
              what is sony's response to the whole episode.

              I bought Sony ericsson handset (w580i) on 6/3/2008 from Subhiksha Trading Service Ltd on the name of Davender Chauhan.In which i have got the warrantee of 1 year, According to my warrantee if there is any problem in my handset you people are liable to resolve the problem and liable to give me the resolution of my problem as Earliest as possible, but you people are not realising the fact that you people are from service industry & what kind of services you people are providing to your customer, its not up to the mark & also its making a bad brand name to your Company. I m really upset & sorry to say that such a big company like Sony Erisson employee has no adiquate to talk with customer.This is not there fault this is the fault of the Management they people have not groomed there employee as per the demends & needs of the customer.This is the reffernce of the below mail.

              I have some problem in my sony erisson handset and for the same i have visited your service outlet of dwarka branch there i have met Mr Harsh and miss sonia, i have discussed my hand set problem with them after listning every problem they peple have asked for my original bill i gave them on the spot. After that miss sonia has checked warrante period of my handset whether my handset is in warrante or not.She told me that my handset was in warrante then she asked for my handset and she went to talk with mr Harsh & after she came and said that sir Emi no is not cleared on your handset so sorry we are unable to help you then i asked her to let me talk with Mr Harsh for some clarification & after i had word with Mr Harsh regarding the same problem he was not ready to listen anything and start debating about the same i have told him that i have a original bill & box with me you can check my Emi no on both the Documents but that gentle man has no adiquate how to talk & how to handle the Customer quaries, sorry to say but he only knows how to debate & misbehave.The same time i have asked for the customer care number from him & he was not ready to give that also, after that i have find your custome care no from your site.

              After a day i have contacted your customer care support there is a gentle man called mr Ankur he assist me with his services & i was obliged while talking with him, he is sach a nice person he tried to help me in my problem, he make me to speak with his Manager Mr Kishore & i explained each and every thing to him & he assured me that sir you go and visit our dwarka outlet again and make me speak with Mr Harsh, i did the same as Mr Kishore guided to me i have taken out the time from my busy schdule & visited the outlet again & make him to speak with mr Harsh, after a 15 or 20 minute long discussion Mr Kishore assured me you will get the resolution with in two day.After disconneting the call of Mr Kishore, Mr Harsh came to me & said now you do whatever you want you will not get any resolution to your problem & misbehaved also his behavior was very rude to me & he was not accepting the mobile phone. With due respect to Mr kishore i again called him & told each and everything to him he was shocked to know this then he called up directly to Mr harsh & they people had talk i was not aware about what discussion they people were having. After 10 min Mr Kishore called me and said sir mother boad of you Mobile phone is dead thats what Mr Harsh told to Mr kishore Without taking my handset in his hand how come he got to know that my mother boad is not working i m really shocked that Sony Erisson has hired Astrologer on his rolls. After all the things happened Mr kishore has again assure me the sir give me 7 days time your problem will be resolved, with due respect to Mr kishore but sorry to say they all were making me fool & doing all scrap with me After i have realize i have wasted my time as well as i got to know the image of the Big Brand Company.

              This is the last option of mine that i m writing a mail to you after that i have no option left apart from going to consumer court or a media

              I bought my phone (K810i) six mounts back but after two months i faced a problem in my Hand free (HPM62). i gave Hand free to be repaired or replaced. more then 17 days Sony ericsson people are saying you will get your Handfree with in 2-3 days. but till date i am unable to get it.

              The screen of my son's 580i developed a crack on 27th Jan.2009. We contacted the only service centre i.e. S.C.O. 327/ IInd floor, Sector 40 D, Chandigarh on the next day, they told me it'll require a replacement. even within warranty period we'll have to spend Rs.1300.(though it is much cheaper in the market but we cannot repair it from the market as that'll make the warrany void). We agreed and they asked to come next week as the spare is not available. Then the harassment started. We made 7-8 rounds and made many calls to the service centre and were asked to come after few days every time. After few rounds I met the chief of the centre Mr. Vikram (Phone No. [protected]), who repeated the same sugar coated assurances but refused to give anything in writing. I don't even have any material proof regarding the duration of this harassment. Today is 6th March and I am still not being able to make any headway after 7 weeks. They don't have a system to lodge a formal complaint with a date on it, hence we can't produce any proof for how long we are suffering. If meanwhile the warranty period expires God only knows what game they'll start.
              We are in agony, please help.

              It has 6 months i have purchased a mobile phone model: W580i from sony ericsson and since then i am suffering every now and then. There has been a lot of problem faced and the biggest dissatisfaction is service deliver by an authorised service centre of SONY. The details of the service centre is as below:

              The people over there are very misbehaving and gives false commitments to customers when it comes to delivery. It is alredy more than twenty days that i have given my phone to them and till now i have been harassed thrice by them giving false commitments. It is really very hectic for me to go to their service centre and then return dissapointed.
              As i don't have a spare phone so i am not able to receive any all my important calls.
              So it's a request from my side to look into this matter as these kind of service delivery is not atall expected from a brand like sony and take appropriate action against that service centre.

              Sony Ericsson W580i — unable to repair phone within warranty

              i have visited sony ericsson service center 7 times and they are not giving me proper response for it.
              Every time the problem is same and my phone will be out warranty in August.
              I dont have time to visit service center again and again.
              Please help me out this.

              I had purchased W580I phone (IME [protected]O) which I had purchased last year in June. Since the purchase, I have been facing a lot of issues in the working of the phone. I have tried getting the problem resolved through the service center 4 times and the problem still persists.

              If I have faced so many issues during the warranty period, I am not sure how good this phone would be post warranty period and the amount that would need to be spent.

              I have been a regular user of various models of Sony Ericsson phone over the last so many years and this is my 6th Sony Ericsson hand set, when I am showing you such a high brand loyalty, why can’t you show little customer focused approach by ensuring that the repeated issues with phones is resolved by taking a step towards replacing handset and satisfy the customer so that we will get encouraged to buy and recommend people to buy more and more Sony Ericsson models for your prompt service

              I bought a Sony Ericsson w580i Mobile phone on 04/08/08 . Just after nine month the set was dead...
              Immediately I went to the sony ericsson service centre (Bably media, 106A, Raja Dinendra street, shyam Bazar, kolkata) on 28/05/09.

              They said that the phone was dead and they told that it would be send Delhi as soon as they get it from sony ericsson company.

              After two week i went to service centre.They said that the phone did not return form Delhi.Till now i did not get the phone and again said me that you will get the phone next week.They did not keep his word several time.
              I am in Marketing job.Phone is very essential for me. So please do something for me that as soon as i will get the phone.

              Sony Ericsson/w580i — poor customer support

              Sony ericsson, a leading company in the world of mobile has one of the most poor customer support. I diwas srivastava bought w580i model just 1 and 1/2 years back. early in this year problem started with it's upper keypad, so i gave it to nearest sony ericsson authorized service center M.J. interprises, gorakhpur.
              the very next day i got a message "please collect your set from the service center", but when i went there they started apolosizing that the message sent by mistake and asked me to collect the set after 5 days.
              Again after 5 days they asked me to come after some time, but again they repeated the same thing, meanwhile i made complain thrice with sony customer support center in the complaint i.d of SE1613 .
              as iam an engineering student in tamil nadu i can not afford to gve my mobile to the center after 1 month so i asked them to return my set as it is but to this also they did'nt gave care and gave my set without the upper keypad and damaged slide. SONY ERICSSON IS NOT HAPPY TO HELP

              Hi,
              I purchased my 'Sony Ericsson W580i' on 30/12/2007 @ Bangalore, after 4months o[censored]se it became dead soon i gave it to the 'Sony Ericsson Service Center' as under warranty, they took almost 45 days to gave it back to me after 'Mother Board' replacement and again I felt some defects in my set and the service center can't resolve the problem under warranty. Few days back when my set was unable to show network I again gave it to 'Sony Ericsson Authorized Service Center' but this time @ Bhubaneswar, Orissa. First of all they changed my network IC for Rs 1400.00 & after then the problem still persist & now they are asking me to Chnge the 'Mother Board' and giving me a estimation of Rs.3800.00. What To Do?

              Plz suggest me a remedy for legal action and plz reveal me the actual cost of the mother board.

              When i approched to the dealer Univercell on 30/11/09, he was not ready to listen my complaint. He just told me in rude way to contact sony ericsson service centre and get it serviced. Within 7 days of purchase going to the service centre and get the phone serviced cannot be a right choice. The company or the dealer have to replace with a non defective product.

              I purchased sony ericcson g 502 mobile(still in warranty) around june this year .i got problem with charging.The display shows charging but percentage is not at all increasing.i contacted customer service ,they suggested to replace the battery(taking around a week's time).Still problem persists.Their diagnosis of the problem is just on trial and error basis rather than a perfect solution.Sony should improve the service.Many customer's have the problem repeated again and again(i visualised).

              Dear all,
              i purchased sony ericson handset in jan09. it generated keypad fault and i delivered it in service center in Dec.09. Later when i went to receive the set, i found that at co's factory, the set generated slider fault. The person their suggested me to send the set again to co. factory. After that i continuously, back to back, many times delivered the set for repair of problem which was created by the co but to no avail.
              After sending notices and running from pillar to post, the company at last agreed to replace me the set. Now the problem is its warranty has got over in Jan10 when my set is pending delivery.
              I asked the co. to give me warranty on the replaced set of one yr. but the company denying that it can give warranty of only 1.5 months (during which the set remained with co. for repair).
              Whether I m not lawful in demanding warranty on the new set because suppouse, the new set generates fault just after a month of its delivery, and i will remain helpless not to get it covered under warranty and co. has the scope of giving me low quality set as it would not cover under warranty any more. !!!!!!

              Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone — Extremely Poor Customer Support

              Hello,

              I had a T700 Sony Erricson handset that was troubling me with frequent call drops. I had given it for problem fixing earlier wherein the service center just upgraded the software. This didn't resolve the problem. So, I had to give it back to the same Service Center (Ccom Services, Eternity mall, Thane (west)) on 12th Feb. Then in the first week of march i was told that your handset's mother board is having a problem and so we are giving you a different handset. The handset they offered was an old handset and carried no warranty. So, if something were to happen with this handset then there was no way I could go back and get it repaired. I didn't accept this and requested the service center that either they fix my original handset OR give me a new phone with warranty. After this there was absolutely no communication from the service center and everytime I call them up now they update me that your handset is in transit. This is definitely not the kind of service and support that I expected from a brand such as Sony.

              I have still not received my phone and hence wanted to bring it to the notice of the consumer forum.

              W580 — Useless Service

              I had bought a new handset W580 on 20th February 2010. Its around 10 months the mobile is still having lot of complaints. I had given the handset to your authorized service center, where they had provided world most worst service. I haven't faced such kind of service from any of the other service centers.
              Even after the last service am facing issues in mobile.. Mobile is not getting charged even charging. I tried replacing with the new battery, which cause the new one to be failed.

              Could anyone from your frm can provide a solution for this.. Now its around 11 months i haven't properly used this handset...

              Sony Ericsson — Brand new mobile given for service is still with the service center

              I had given my new phone which was bought on 31sf of May 2011 for repair on 8th June 2011.
              The WorkOrder number is : SE311SS211118.
              The service center people told me that the mother board has to be replaced and they said that I will get back it in 7-10 days.
              I raised a complaint with the customer care people on 10th of June asking for the status and from then I am calling them everyday and I am getting a standard reply " You will get it in 2-5 days and Thanks for calling".
              When I want to speak to any higher officer also they are not giving me their number.

              I have not faced a worst customer care than this, first of all they don't understand english and cant speak properly too. I am wasting a huge ampount of money on calls since it is STD.

                We bought a mobile phone Sony Ericsson model Z550i from Vodafone shop in Australia complete with prepaid sim card, and it worked well in the country. But when we travelled to Indonesia and Malaysia, we tried to purchase/replace sim card there but Z550i did not accept it. Luckily we had another mobile phone (also purchased in Australia), an old Panasonic, that accepted sim cards from Indonesia and Malaysia! Complaint to Sony Ericsson in Australia had NO response. My advice is DO NOT buy Sony Ericsson Z550i (or other models, check it first) when you intend to travel outside the country!

                  I got an Sony Ericsson mobile model W580i on 8th Sep 2007. Not even a month was completed the keypad started cracking. I went to the service centre and they replaced me the keypad since it was under warranty. Again after one and a half month the key pad again cracked. Now i have given my mobile in the service centre and now they r charging me for the replacement of keypad which they replaced one month back under warranty.They say that we mailed to sony ericsson and they said the key pad dosen't cover under warranty.? How funny is this., one month back they replaced, the same keys now they said sony ericsson is charging. i dont know whats going on. Is this the way sony ericsson treats its customer.? And the keypad cracking is very frequent , what if the keypad cracks after my warranty period.? I never expected a very reputed sony ericsson's product to be like this. I didnt got in any local shop or something. i got it in your authorized dealer shop Univercell. Why is this happening.? kindly give me a solution as soon as possible.

                  The buttons split in half and the memo card dont stay in by the way little person who made it you reallly need to re-think your design (the camera dont zoom inbut the video does??)

                  Sony Ericsson W580i — Keypad Cracked

                  I own a W 580i handset which i bought in Oct 2007. After a months use both my keypads the numeric as well as the front pannel keypad had faults appearing in them.After which ,I contacted SE customer care who told me to contact the service centre.On !0 Jan 2008 my conplaint was finally lodged and was promised that , I would get a new keypad within a week . Its 26 of FEb 2008 till date none of the keypads have arrived and on asking the helpline people am give the same answer that we are working on it . And currently i have the handset without either of the keypads as the keypads have been sent to chennai. Neither was i given a replacement handset nor have the keypads come. And as i went through the comments made by others above i refused to leave my handset with SE people as i have no faith left in SE anymore. The amount of time and money on the call SE has just gone down the drain .I could really use some guidance to what other options can i consider as if the attitude of SE continues one day SE will tell me that the keypad has come but your warranty has expired .

                  I purchased thsi mobile in June 2008 and in two months time the keypads started to crack one by one. I went to the Lajpat Ngr service centre where they said the keypad will be replaced by the company while the mobile is in teh warranty period, however, the did not have the keypad available in that centre. They asked me to check with them a week later. Ever since then I have been to that centre for about 8 times in the last 9 months but they still do not have it and they still say it will come in a week's time. My waranty for the phone would be over next month and I do not want to pay them for the keypad incase I get a new one at all. Very very poor service.
                  well you see i have the same problem, my keypads are broken and i am addict to smsing, so its has been very difficult, but unlike you i havnt tried calling SE yet, ill have to at least rty, but i totally agree and have heard from people about their horrid attitude, after all that phone is not cheap and they shud have more manners<, , , , , , , , , , , ,
                  I am extremely disappointed with the Sony Ericsson W580i. I got one for my christmas and now 9 months later it does not slide properly if at all and my number 8 does not work, which is a big problem because its one of the main numbers in my pin. I have always liked Sony Ericsson phones but i am now alway experiencing problems with them.

                    I purchased a SONY VIAO laptop from USA. It was not even a year that the DVD HARDWARE got failed. When I asked a the authorised service center what's the cause of the problem I was told 1) Its an electronic product, nothing can be done. There is no reason to it (Vineeta Tyagi) 2) It can be because of more/less usage, running of scratches & pirated CD/DVD etc. (Vineeta Tyagi) The first point of them, I would like to ask then what's the difference between a SONY quality product and a CHINESE product. The second point of them, I would like to ask is the causes mentioned would make the lense weak and not the hardware would fail. All the non sense information is been provided. On asking a engineer why are you asking for Rs. 17, 742/- he was not able to explain, just a "rata answer" "dena parega otherwise nahe thikh ho sakta" Would also like to ask "this is why SONY ask for around 50% more for its product compairing to other companies. To give this quality and service. I just paid Rs. 1950/- to SONY for my sony car audio system which got failed with in a year again with NONSENSE replies "sir electronic hai, kuch bhi ho sakta hai"
                    sony porducts are getting worst day by day. And after sales support is a nightmare.
                    They charges heavily for brand and immediately as warranty over, product will give some problem and service people will charge too much.

                    Not recommending to buy Sony Music Systems at least.
                    SONY DVD RW, DVD/CD ROM, it works for 6 - 7 months correctly with no issues, maximum of 10 months, then is stats the problems. I have got writing problems, i always use sony disks to write Datas. When we go the dealer shops to ask about the services of sony, they will say sony servicing are too bad, if you got the problem within the warrenty period then they will look. Otherwise they wont!!! My SONY DVD RW, DVD/CD ROM is only 18 months old. Now onwards i suggest to every one, not to buy SONY DVD RW, DVD/CD ROM. They only got a good brand names, the other things are really bad. Buy some other burnner. If you ask to the dealers also, they will say Sony DVD RW, DVD/CD ROM is good, but buy other other DVD RW, DVD/CD ROM thats good for you. What is this means?

                      I bought Sony cybershot DSC-H1 one and a half years back from US. It served me well until a recent trip, where it developed a de-focussing problem so all I could see was very blurred pictures. I took it to the Sony Service Center in Bangalore (Indiranagar) and they told me that they would have to change the entire lens structure and it would cost me 18000 INR which is very ironic because my camera cost me 14000 INR to begin with. I asked them to explain the issue with the camera and I got an unintelligible response - "There has been a lens contamination due to moisture. The lens has developed fungus and we will have to change the lens". I do not know whether the support staff was defining his intelligence level or mine with that response but that's about the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my life. I, then, took the camera to another repair center which happens to be authorized service center for canon and they told me that the problem is with the motor and would cost 3200 INR to repair.
                      I have heard similar stories from my other friends who were advised by Sony service centers to go for costly replacements when their equipment, infact, worked perfectly fine despite not going for them.
                      I do not know if my camera will be repaired but my trust in Sony seems to be damaged beyond repair.

                          I had given Sony music system MHC VX777 for repair in Navi Mumbai authorised Sony service centre. The problem was the CD tary was stuck with the CDs inside and FM not working. The service centre is ill equiped without power back on power outage. The service centre informed me they would not mention about the 3 CDs stuck in the system on the service request form as they could not verify the same in the absence of power.
                          Later I was surprised, when the service centre claimed ignorance of the CDs in the system and more surprised as they changed the CD lens instead and did not attend the FM problem.
                          Now the service centre is refusing to handover the system to me and forcing me to pay for the repairs I had not requested and is also not returning the CDs. I had even requested the centre to put back the old CD lens which they are not agreeing.
                          This is totally unacceptable from an MNC like Sony. The official complaint logged on the company website has also not yet been responded.

                          SONY READER.
                          I spent the evening lying in bed reading the Sony Reader, and using the left corner Page turner to turn the pages with my thumb. After a half hours reading, I switched off the Reader, and placed it on the mantle next to the bed. The next morning, the Reader would not function. Sony declares that I damaged the screen. The only way I could have done that was by turning 40 odd pages with my thumb. If so, the there must be a flaw with the Reader which Sony refuses to acknowledge.

                              I purchased the above handset from Mobile King, Penta Menaka, Marine Drive, Kochi-682031 on 01.03.2008.

                              The set became completely out of service on 29.04.2008 and I was directed by the dealer to contact the service centre. Accordingly I gave my handset to Messrs. Accel Frontline Limited, Opp. Veekshanam Press.

                              The set was delivered back to me on 23.05.2008 saying that the board has been replaced and asked me to check up. Since I did not have my sim card with me, I tried to check the handset in the evening at home. The set is having the problem of becoming off and on, which was the original complaint.

                              When I contacted the supplier, he informed that he cannot exchange with another set. In the meanwhile, I will be contacting your service centre once again. In case I fail to get a brand new set as free replacement, I will be forced to take suitable remedial actions. This is for your advance information.

                              I have received the new YARI model IMEI no.[protected] on 5th November 2010 and on 23rd january 2011 my mobile again switched off and never started.

                              I have contacted Customer Care to take followup to the higher level but nobody escalated my call and until now I have not received any call from sony ericson company

                              Kindly do the needful in priority basis as within 4 months my 2 YARI set has created problem for me and it has a bad experience for me to the Sony ericsson company.

                                    With a view to take a chance to find the lost mobile. I wish to know the last 2 or 3 calls made from this number. If these 2 or 3 calls are not made by me, then it will help me to trace out my lost mobile.

                                    The last 2 calls which i made were [protected], [protected]. The last recharge was made by me was at the time of purchasing. There were no Recharges made by me at the time of my losing the mobile. The currency balance was Rs.10. This information i am giving to make you confirm about my losing the phone.

                                    Once again i request you to trace from your records and inform me the last 2 or 3 calls made by this phone. So that i can trace the mobile if any calls are made by this number, after i lost the phone.

                                      I purchased 1 pc. Sony Ericsson W550I FROM MONICA COMMUNICATION ON 18/11/2006FO RS 10500.AFTER USING IT FOR SEVEN OR EIGHT MONTHS , I GOT SOME PROBLEMS WITH MY CELL PHONE LIKE THE SOFTWARE PROBLEMS, CAMERA SLIDINGS,SPEAKERS AND EVEN WITH SOUND RECORDING SYSTEMS. I complained the same to the authorized service centre of Sony Ericsson (USHA INFOTECH (P) LTD. Beslls House, 10A, Ho-Chi-Minh Sarani,2nd Floor, Kolkata, West Bengal, 700071 Phone:[protected] on 08/09/07and deposited my handset vide complaint ID11485. AFTER 10 DAYS I CALLED THEM UP AND ASKED THEM ABOUT THE STATUS BUT THEY REPLIED a stereotyped message LIKE WE SENT IT TO DELHI TO MAKE IT OKAY. TILL DATE I CALLED THEM FOR SEVERAL TIMES BUT NO POSITIVE FEEDBACK IS COMING FROM THEIR END. IT HAS BEEN PASSED 45 DAYS I SUBMITTED MY CELL PHONE.

                                        Dear sir, I had purchased this Phone 5-6 months back (OCT'2007) and this is the first time my outing with the company Sony Ericsson. The phone when I purchased was working fine but suddenly one day it started giving me problems like I was not able to use the touch Screen facilities and also it used run on its own even when it was not in use ...and then after 4-5 days of the same problem the touch screen of the phone completely stopped working and even the phone went dead... so I went to the dealer since it was very much in a warranty...they gave it to a certified service center and after nearly for a week's time nobody came back to me on what has happened to the phone … so I myself went to the dealer who said he has not got any information about it from the service center itself...so I went looking for the service center and when I met them, the person in the reception first said that since the concerned engineer is on leave she would not be able to tell me anything ...and the phone is not yet checked .. But when I insisted to know what is actually wrong someone else came out with my phone being in an open state and told me the complaint is because of water logging... And that is not covered under the warranty for the phone... I will have to pay extra amount to rectify it... I was shocked... I said how it is possible... I have taken so much care and there is no way water would have gone inside ...he said He doesn’t know all that but surely the water has gone inside and then he showed 2 screws inside the phone being rusted and told me that such thing happens only if water goes inside... so I was still in a shock state and asked him so how much will it be for which the person tells me I need to pay money upfront - Rs.200/- for them to even tell me the estimate cost for repairing the phone . I got really angry ... I told them it’s no way possible for the water to go inside - maybe it’s only because of the moisture inside the phone and not because of the water going inside... when I tried contacting the customer care for help they asked me to connect to person in the service center so I connected, they spoke for 15-20 minutes all on my phone wasting my money...( I spoke to the customer care 4 times during these testing times… each time it took around 15-20 minutes to finish 1 call…spending approx. Rs.11 to Rs.16 each time)and then come back on the line to me and told me that they will not be able to do anything as they accept with the service center engineer and go by his word ... and when I asked if they have anybody where I can meet in person they coolly said they don’t have anything or anybody like that…. ... now today my dealer after 2.5 weeks calls and tells me he will rectify the phone without the service center's aid so that my cost will be cheaper and he tells me to rectify it will be only Rs.3, 500/- plus the repairing charges. I know for sure the water has not gone inside because the way I took care for the phone I would not have taken care for even myself... for it was a prized possession of mine... I had spent Rs.22, 000 jus to buy it ...I don’t come from a very high upper class family for whom an amount of RS.22, 000 is an everyday expense … I m just from a normal middle class family and I purchased that phone on a credit card ... I later understood that the parts used in all the phones of Sony Ericsson in India are of very inferior quality because I saw a lot of them coming to Sony Ericsson service center having similar complaint and the service center people recommending them to spend their money to have the phone rectified... these People from the company are taking us consumers for a ride… I am really sad and hurt very badly as such an expensive product because of the company's inferior parts I have to go through so much trouble and now to get back that phone I have to shell out again 30-40% of the actual cost of a new phone...and I haven’t found anybody who can help against such a large establishment cheating middle class people like me...

                                        sir, i love sony erricsson phones and i am using the brands phones from 5 years but recently onfeb 2007 i brought w580i phone. i had lots of problems on my mobile the speaker was not working when attending the call and restarting all time within a month phone was dead i took it to the authorised service centre accel in greams road, chennai. he told that there is a drop of water has logged in in the middle of circuit but tere was no water but he says is fungus but he cannot prove or show me.
                                        after arrgument he said it might be sweat or drop of soft drink might have gone inside. i asked the stupid guy that if water goes inside the circuit it cant go from the top because it is covered it should be entered fromthe edges but there is no sign of water fungus in the pcb. he didnt accept my arrgument and throwed my phone on the table. i brought my phone for 13000rs it worked only for three months.
                                        i had no other way than to buy a new phone again i went to showroom and decided to buy nokia but i was not satisfied of nokia models and i brought sony w910 i it was working fine for one month and started giving problem becoz of the software getiing hanged restarting on its own i installed the updated software it works for a day agian starts giving problem.

                                        sony phone are no value for money they get repair, sony gives fancy picture quality and exellent sound quality and user friendly software butno lifeeeeeeeeeee and relaibality

Since then, I have been there for 3 times but received no response from your representatives. Above that, the behavior of your employees is so irritating & strange that it multiplies the problem. No one over there is ready to tell me why they have kept my handset for so long and when will I get it back.

                                        The problem is not only mine but I met other people with the same suffering sitting at service center. Request you to take serious attention to this and solve the problem. If this continues, you are sure to loose a big number of customers day by day.

                                        I got my K750i in Oct 2006. It functioned very well till last week. The battery charge would last up to3 days. Since it stopped charging, I took it to the Sony Ericsson repair centre in D13/4 Okhla II, New Delhi because the repair centre at Galleria, Gurgaon refused to repair it!

                                        At Okhla, I signed the register at 2:30pm but **my phone was not looked at till 4:00pm!** At 4:01pm, Complaint ID SES08BR221909 was recorded and at 4:30 I was told that the PCB and the battery are defective and so the phone can be thrown away as it costs as much to repair as to buy a new one!

                                        Please help me understand:
                                        1. Why your customers must wait 90 minutes before you will talk to them?
                                        2. Why the a Sony phone's PCB and battery can get so badly damaged that they have to be thrown away - don't you put a fuse in the phone? This phone had not got wet.
                                        3. Is the pricing of the repair of Sony products priced so as to discourage your customers?
                                        4. What kind of customer experience do you think I have had?
                                        5. Can you imagine me buying or recommending a Sony product?

                                        I'm one frustrated customer of Sony Ericsson. Within 6 months of purchasing a SE P1i from Noida (UP), the display of my mobile suddenly went blank without any reason. I gave my mobile for repairs to your authorised service center G.N.H Telecom (Tilak Bhawan, Sharma Market, Sec-27, Noida, Ph. [protected]), and was told that it'll be fixed in 2 days maximum. I checked again after 2 days, and they told me that the display needs to be replaced, and they don't have it in stock. So it'll be fixed by Saturday. On Saturday they told me that it'll be done on Monday. Today is Monday, and when I called again, they told me that their boy who was supposed to go to pick up the part is not feeling well and didn't go!!! They asked me to check again on Wednesday. I was also told by the person on phone that "There is nothing surprising that a new mobile phone doesn't work after 6 months!! It is afterall electronics!!". Let me know if this is true for SE phones, so that I can warn prospective buyers? Is this Sony Ericsson I'm dealing with or some local cheap phone company who sells second hand phones??? My trust in your brand is highly shaken. If this is the quality of service we're getting with your phones, then the quality of your products themselves are questionable.

                                        My complaint ID with G.N.H Telecom is SES08GNH15085. I feel people have a right to know what they're buying and the quality of service to expect. As such, if my complaint is not taken seriously, I'll be forced to come to you through other channels.

                                        i purchased my se w580i in april 2008 with great joy and enthusiasm but all in vain as your product and after sales services are pathetic and tortourous.my se w580 was properly functioning till the february of 2009. but on day like any other my se shut down for good. i took it to the service center wher they said that the set was dead and they kept my phone for 15 days or something. when i got my cell back it was functioning but was giving a lot of trouble.whenever i used the slider or any other key on the phone to use, the set would get hung and the display would'nt show. One day i switched my phone off and tried turning it on but it never switched on. then i gave my cell again on the 3rd of march, and they received it as dead set. i had an argument with the authorities regarding the questionable quality of PCB used which worked for not more than 10 or 12 days from a reputed name as Sony Ericsson. sir i am really frustrated with the name Sony Ericsson .its been 25 days, and all that i get as a reply is that they have placed the order and havent received the part.

                                        Sony Ericsson W350i — late Service (Phones part not Available)

                                        I purchased Sony ericson w350i on Nov/2008 and since last month i have display problem where i handed over my mobile on 30-april to the Store (The MObile Store, Official Store Branch Beawar, Ajmer).

                                        This mail is in regards to inform to you that iAMIT NAGARKOTI, hsr recently bought Sony Ericsson Model K790i i.e hardly seven months old. I am facing many problems while using it, inspite of giving the phone for repair to Sony Ericsson service center in Noida sec-18 for 2 months approx.

                                        Some of the issues are as follows :
                                        1. cellphone was given to service for software upgrading however when i collected it, I saw they formatted my cell and created one more problem i.e call is being automatically picked up.
                                        2.Again i submitted my cellphone for the issue of call automatically being picked, they renewed my old job sheet.
                                        They said they will send the cell to there head office in Mathura road for change of motherboard and asked me to collect after 15 days .However i got it back after 1 month.
                                        3. But the irony now is that the problem of automatic call getting picked up is still there with many other issues like phone getting hanged up, voice not coming clearly, Keypad not working, joystick not working. i.e the cell not working at all.
                                        4.Now, they have again taken the cell saying that they are going to send it to chennai head office for the change of motherboard .
                                        Due to all these issues, i am facing many problems in my job too.
                                        And moreover they do not pick there phones when called and if picked they keep on transfering it here and there. We visit them they dont respond properly. On asking the status they just rudely say phone has not come yet that's it. The name of your employee are SHWETA and MR. SHREE in sector -18 service center noida, who are looking into this issue from starting.
                                        I dont think this phone would work properly now, looking at the situation . I have only used it for 2 months, rest its with your service center only.
                                        Kindly look into the matter and do needful.
                                        I would request to kindly replace my phone as soon as possible. Looking forward for immediate response.

                                        I purchased NEW MOBILE W395 On July 25th In UNIVERCELL MOBILES, CHENNAI, its worked well for 5 days, slide problem a raise(i.e., caller hear disturbance sound while slide closed) so, i gave it to service center after few days they said it solved, but problem occurs same day.                                         This is to bring to your kind notice that at present i am using w380i that i bought three months back and its model is not even mentioned here.anyhow i want to say that i am really very dissapointed with this model and your service centre which is in gurgaon opposite air force station, old delhi road, gurgaon.i gave mu cellphone on 15th july09 and it has been alomst one and a half month, my cell is still not repaired and it had just a display problem.they kept on delaying it by saying that we dont have a cable.i put up in sec 51 and it almost takes twenty to twenty five minutes to go to the service centre.i am telling u this because only thrice i have called this service centre people and that to with different numbers because they never pick the numbers they have already attended even if the customer is calling after 10days.it is really frustrating!!three days back when i went there at 5 40- in the evening your service centre was closed.when they have given us the time till 6 in the evening then why they closed it before 5 30? and then when i called them to ask this they said we had some work so we closed it.it is so easy for them to say come tommorrow.i am not just sitting at home, i have other things also.what is the point of closing the service centre at working hours????i would want you to go to the above mentioned service centre once and look at their service.every customer has complaints.before using this cellphone i was using nokia and believe it i am regreting the fact that why did i switch to sony ericson because the service nokia provides is outstandig and it has an amazing durability and in just one and a half month my sony ericson phone has gone to the service centre even when i used it with so much of care.sony ericson is such a big company and it has such a name still i am going through all this??the image that i had for your company is now fading.i want you to either change my set or refund my money.

                                        I have purchased Sony W 380 I on 29th April 2009 from Vijay sales, thane west, from past 15 days the display was very eratic and the phone will go off suddenly . We gave to Sony service center at Ccom services, F11, 1st floor, eternity mall, Thane west - 400602 . After 5 days they gave the phone saying it has ben repaired and showed us working at the shop as soon as i brought the phone to my office and put my sim card again the same old problem . Again we have given the phone to the same service station .
                                        Looking at the phone I am 100% sure, service station did nothing but gave the phone back as it is . My earlier phone also from Sony had the similar problems and the same service center did the same thing and we gave them again finally I threw that mobile phone of sony .
                                        ONE IS THE SERVICE BUT I FEEL NOW THE SONY MOBILES ARE VERY POOR IN QUALITY . I HAVE ALWAYS USED SONY SINCE THE INCEPTION OF MOBILE IN INDIA . BUT NOW THE QUALITY IS VERY VERY POOR .

                                        I am a sony ericsson customer and i am myself very upset about the services provided. when i went to the service centre for some software related issues with my mobile which is K550i. i was totally shunted away. my problem was neither understood nor solved.
                                        I dont think that i will suggest anyone to buy sony ericsson mobiles.
                                        I have submitted this Sony Ericsson W580i phone, which is under warranty, for a charging socket related issue on 20Aug09. It has been over 2 weeks and they are still waiting for a part to be imported from somewhere. When I call for an update, Service Center folks would direct me to the customer support helpdesk and when I try to get a response from the Customer Support Desk, they will again ask me to get in touch with the Service Center. This is the second time I have submitted my phone due to technical issues within a year of purchase and last time also they sat over it for good 3 weeks. The phone in itself is not worth it and they have absolutely disappointing customer service. Please do not go for Sony Ericsson phones, or you'll regret later...!!

                                        I purchased Sony Ericsson phone (w580i) in 22nd February 2009.

                                        I am facing display problem. On Sunday 20th Sep 2009, I saw that my cellphones display screen has gone and I was not able to see anything in the phone. I thought that my phone is still in the warranty as one year hasn't completet yet. So today (22nd Sep 09), I went to the nearest sony ericsson authorized service (Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi), they told me that I have to pay 1200+ to repair or change my display screen.

                                        What is the use of warranty (1 year) if we have to pay to service the cellphone. I am totally disappoint now.

                                        If my problem will not solve then I will directly to the CONSUMER COURT and file a case against Sony Ericcson.

                                        I am one of the Sony Ericcson user and haven't used any other mobile company's cellphone in my life. This company has a brand name in the market and people believe that Sony E is one of the best company who deals in mobile equipments. I can easily understand that technical fault can happen anytime but company has to repair or replace the set if it comes in the warranty period.

                                        I am totally disappoint to the service of the sony ericcson and will not buy their products in my life and also don't let my relatives and friends to buy sony's products.

                                        This is main reason that people prefer NOKIA cellphones because of their amazing customer service and their way of handling the people.

                                        The authorized service centers of sony ericcson are not able to give even 50% customer satisfaction.

                                        On 16th Oct ’09 evening time I purchased a Sony Ericsson W395 from The Mobile Store held at Sai Baba Colony branch (Coimbatore). The next day (17th Oct) morg I had a hanging of keypad problem (Only in Down Arrow and End Key Only) sir. So I sent one of my friends to the same TMS branch within 24 hrs. They Told some unnecessary reasons, really I m not satisfied that reasons. (On 18th I moved to my grandma’s home so I unable to go to the TMS branch.) On 19th I visited the TMS branch and they replied to me,

                                        “Please go to the Sony Ericsson Service centre sir, its common problem sir, they simply solve this hanging problem.”

                                        In this regards the next day I went to Sony Ericsson service centre held at DB Road (Coimbatore), I am totally shocked to hear the reply from the service centre officials.

                                        “Sorry sir, Water Lock on your mobile, so the mobile was not in warranty sir.”

                                        At the time I not like to argue with the Sony Ericsson Service Centre Authorities, because they had some rules and regulations. I agree to repair the mobile, because I purchased that mobile to give a gift for my friend. At that time I had some urgent work in my office (Splitting of Companies in the Tally.erp9) so I am not contact the TMS Store.

                                        Between 21st to 27th I am totally busy in my office regarding the some tally.erp9 issues and meetings.

                                        On 28th only I got a phone call from the Sony Ericsson service centre, your mobile is ready to use now, I went to the service centre and got my mobile back.

                                        On 29th Morg I visit “The Mobile Store Website“and post my complaint there. Evening time one person made a call to me and asks the proof of the Water lock in the mobile from the Sony Ericsson Service Centre.

                                        I got and scan both the Purchased Bill and Job Sheet from the Sony Ericsson Service Centre and send the mail to that person who has from the TMS.

                                        Today Evening He made a call and refused the said proposal sir.

                                        Then I spoke to TMS (Sai Baba Colony Branch) They ask a letter from the Sony Ericsson the letter should be contains a “Yes sir, we are agree to sending a Water lock Mobiles to the TMS Stores…! (just think, If it is possible sir.) I am from Financially Middle Family sir, they simply through me like a baseball.

                                        I really suffered form lots and lots of people’s sir.

                                        I recently wanted to replace my battery for the w580i model. I visited a "so-called" genuine Sony ericcson center. This guy asks me whether i need an original or duplicate battery(i prefered the original). He gives me a battery which doesn't have a price label, no seal, no warranty card..etc., and the price: Rs1200-/-. I go to the next shop-same story but 1500-/-. I am sure a well established brand like Sony wouldn't have such double standards!! Both these locations are in a area called R.T Nagar(Bangalore). It would be great if you could let me know the actual price..

                                        On 23/11/2009 the mobile set all of a sudden became too hot.i found the battery was bulging.i took it to your sony ericsson service centre at Accel-Chennai GR, 160, Thiru building, Greams road, Chennai.they said its the battery fault and gave me a new battery on 27/11/2009.but i experienced a similar problem as soon as i reached home.so i approached them again on 30/11/1009.my workorder number is:SE309AGR17979.they checked the cell and replied a week later that there is a problem with the motherboard.yesterday (14/12/2009) they called me and said the head office is offerring a new mobile set (K660i) instead of your K530i due to the unavailability of the model.they offerred a white coloured set but i want a set of my choice (colour:wine in black).
                                        i would kindly reqest you to look into this issue as soon as possile and get me a set of my choice.i am not using my number for the past two weeks since i dont have a spare mobile, i also request you to extend my warranty period by two weeks which is supposed to get over by 23/12/2009.Please do the needful.

                                        sony ericsson mobile w395 — rusted inside the new mobile

                                        i have purchased sony ericsson w395 walkman series mobile on 01.01.2010 at Wave communication (Wavetel) 186 G.S.T Road, Guduvancery 603 202 show room. At the time of purchasing the mobile's performance was slow, they said "you have to install the new software at Sony Service Centre". I have gone to sony service centre and installed the new software. Again it is very slow performance then they are opened the phone they said, inside the phone rusted it is old phone, and he asked to pay rs.1800/- approx. I immediated dont do i will give it to the wave tel people.

                                        I immediated approached the wavetel showroom which was purchased, and asked him to replace, they said it is not possible. And they retained the phone will give after service.

                                        I am unhappy with the phone, so i want to replace with new one.

                                        The Sony Ericsson, India, had not engaged well trained technical person for repair/service of their product -mobile phones. The people in the service centers are not engineers and only a mechenic, wth very poor knowledge in the latest semi-conductor devices, even they can't identify the hardare/ softawre items avilailable such as, RAM, CPU, Tr /Tx devices.

                                        They only survive with the spares which are easily available only with them, and not available in the local market. Even they don't have any testing gadget, /equipment to find the fault with pre-programed Computer Aided Technology.they can ONLY sutable for replacing the FLEX ASSEMBLY.and telling some jargons like LCD fault, MOTHER BOARD failed amd put blame to the poor knoledged customers., as well as the true experienced Engineers who dealing with the NC/CNC, PILC controled machined.

Last mount( 27.02.10) purchased w205. when i purchased the mobile since same problem come to often. i have submit to mobile for the problem ( batt Drains fast while charging full error), it for the problem i have submit more than at 8 time. but nobody solve the problem. three time they said it happen software problem. one time they said. could you submit to us your mobile . we will checkout it. one time they said would be patter problem so we have changed to patter from your mobile. last time they said mother port problem so we have changed to mother port. still it don't come to again same problem, you can use the same mobile. but i got again same problem with another problem ( when i hold camera batten while show the message : another application is running. close it, and then start the camera ) I spend the more time & loss of my salary by the problem. it's no use for myself, either i got very suffer by the problem. what the hell thinking about me. i am not job less person. so kindly understand me. i would not say again. it would not solve the problem. i will take best move from myself. i would be throw it.

                                        My Sony Yari within 6 months of purchase has started giving problems with keypad. I submitted the phone to its certified service center in mumbai (MobileTech). Its been 25 days since I have not recieved my phone!! The service center guys from 39011111 only say that they are awaiting a missing part from Sony.
                                        Ridiculous service and disappointing replies. No longer a Sony fan :(
                                        The screen on my 960i broke & when I sent it for repair they changed the whole thing & charged me 4000 rps for that. When I started using it I could not transfer any data via bluetooth. When I sent it back again to NEOSA ELECTRONICS in Calcutta then the guy there Mr. Tushar Dey said he would change the software for free. He did that & since then the phone hangs up when I try to switch it on. When he saw that he said he would send it to SONY CENTRE & find out how to fix this. Now I have an estimate of approx. 15000 to change mother board. My phone is not itself worth more than that & now I am paying total 19000 to repair a phone worth 15000. When I said it is not my fault that the phone does not switch on the used the favorite lines "WATER DAMAGE". I wonder if Tushar Dey was playing in water with my phone to save his own skin.                                         I purchased Sony Ericsson XperiaX10 mini pro on 9th Sep, 10 and now I find a problem that I can't open the market and other applications nor I can download videos and images. Whenever I try to sign-in the market with my google account it shows:
                                        "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the sever - this could be a temporary problem or your sim card may not be provisioned for data services. if it continues, call customer care".
                                        And when I try to download videos, mp3s and images it shows connecting to data and at last downloading failed. whereas I can browse very smoothly without any problem. what is this data stuff? Is there any solution? Please help me...

                                        SONY ERICSSON W395 MOBILE — inconvenience in using of the mobile and paid repair charges in warranty period

                                        the mobile working condition is very bad and it loss display to many times in a warrenty period. The service centre in khammam (city) khammam dist, collect the charges 1550/-rupees in warrenty period. in 3 months the mobile giving trouble, at that time Iam in hyderabad. I approached to the service centre in ameerpet, hyderabad.they took the mobile on Aug 31 2010, and promised to give back within a week. But they did not fulfill their promise they gave the mobile back on[protected]. They deal me very roughly and talked unparlamentary language. The mobile troubled another time in before a month, this time they want to charge some amount in a warrenty period. Forcefully I agreed to pay they said if you call evening we tell howmuch amount we will charge. they intimate me 375/- rupees for repairs by phone. Now they asked 3000/- rupees for repairs, and they doesn't treat proper way. They answered by using unparlamentary language. I suffered mentally and I lost amount in purchasing of the mobile and service charges in warrenty period. Hence I request you to take proper action on the service centre in Ameerpet, Hyderabad, and also on the company.
                                        i was purchased 2 set of w100i after purchse the set i was facing the phone hanging problem then i went to service center in faridabad they update the s/w but i am facing the problem after upadted the 3 time s/w so i am not satisfied with the service plz do something in favoiur of me otherwise i have to take strict action

                                        my name is chitra jain...i m using sony ericsson phone T715..i purchased the phone on 25th november 2009 ...within a year from the day of puchase i had send my phone 5 times to service centre...in every 15 days it create a new problem.I m totally pissed off from this phone
                                        First time(on 17 dec 2009) the problem was-NO TEXT OR PICTURE IN DISPLAY
                                        It took more than a month to repair the phone
                                        Second time(15th may 2010) the problem was-CAMERA PROBLEM, HANG PROBLEM, BACK LIGHT PROBLEM
                                        Third time(16 june 2010) the problem was-CANT POWER ON (phone was dead)
                                        Fourth time the problem was-phnone was dead
                                        it troubled me so much i lost all my contacts every tym ...i asked for the replacement of phone but no action was taken against it.
                                        Again my phone has created a problem of slide (2nd feb 2011) nd charging problem
                                        I paid rs 700 for fixing the problem as the warranty period was over
                                        Then again after a week it created a new problem of sound
