Me and my flatmate took an Internet connection from Tikona Digital Networks Pvt. Ltd. in my name i.e. Ms. Kasturi Haloi. The said connection was made operational from 26th August, 2015. The connectivity was poor throughout and we had registered several complaints by calling on Tikona’s toll free number as due to poor connectivity we were unable to concentrate on our projects, causing difficulties in our professional activities. By the end of November, 2015 we faced severe connectivity issues and were not able to use internet thereafter. Tikona tried to resolve the issue remotely and also sent engineers, but since the problem couldn't be rectified, vicegerents of Tikona communicated us through phone call that sector 71 A-5 pocket, Noida has been declared as non-feasible zone, which means their internet services would not work in the area. In such situation we having no other alternative requested Tikona to withdraw internet services in December 1st week, 2015. Infact all the residents of the area who were also using services of Tikona, got their connections disconnected for the same reasons. We have paid all dues of Tikona till December (bill date: 22/12/2015, Payment ID: 1-[protected]) while we were using the connection. Even after asking them to withdraw the service in December 2015 itself, I got a message that my rentals have been stopped only on 21st January, 2016. On the contrary, I got a bill for Jan, 2016 even though they weren't providing services in the area anymore. On enquiring about it, they said we had been using their internet, which was not possible as our zone was claimed by Tikona itself in December, 2015 to be falling under non-feasibility area. It was not possible for us to use the Tikona’s internet connection as all their cables had been removed and in January, 2016. We got a new connection available in the area and have not been using Tikona services since Dec, 2016. Upon making a complaint against such bills, officials of Tikona also told me that our ID was being used from a different area. I informed officials of Tikona that I apprehend that some of the officials of Tikona might be using it, since only they knew the ID password apart from us. I have registered complaints several times for which they gave me two reference nos: 1-[protected] and 1-[protected], but inspite of that they kept on increasing the bill amount every month. On enquiring about the closure of the account, they said it’s a lengthy process so that they could keep on charging us without even using their services. To our utter surprise, we have received a bill in the month of June, 2016 for a sum of Rs. 9792 which is totally false and frivolous. I have been harassed by the officials of Tikona by calling me again and again for the payment of the undue amount. Now, they have found a new way of extorting the exorbitant bill amount, as I received a call from one person Devraj Joshi claiming to be a Sr. Advocate from Tis Hazari court and representing Tikona, who threatened me that if I don't pay the outstanding amount within 1 hour, he will register a case against me. Also, the address that he claimed to have called from doesn't exist in the Tis Hazari court, as we have cross verified. When no attention was paid to their threats, they even called up my flatmate (whose number they claim has been submitted as guarantor, which is false) this week claiming that the same person, Mr. Devraj Joshi is now calling from Mumbai instead of Delhi. They couldn't answer properly when asked about the address of the court. Tikona Digital Services is a big time fraud and perhaps the worst service in India. Every other consumer forum and site is full of complaints from their customers who are fed up of their poor services.
