Hi,
I have been using Tikona Broadband services and my USER ID : [protected]. Since the month of June, i have been facing issues with my internet connection and i had decided to change my ISP. Hence i called up Tikona Customer care by August 1'st week and asked them to cancel my connection effective immediate.
I had received the bill dated 26/7/2015 and the bill period is From 26-Jul-2015 to 25-Aug-2015. Though i had not utilised the internet usage for the complete bill cycle i agreed to pay the amount for this cycle.
However i have been repeatedly receiving calls from tikona customer care stating that they will make some alternate arrangements for fixing the issue and they kept my connection active till august month end.
Finally they cancelled my service by the end of august and sent me 2 months bill amount (July & August) and asked me to pay a total of 1696 by september 10'th.
I had called up customer care several times and told them about this issue, asked to revise the bill amount and send me the details, so that i would make the final settlement.
There was no response from them and they kept on adding 100 Rs as late payment charges and sent me the payment due email.
On Oct 23rd i received an email from some advocate stating that if i fail to pay my balance amount, then i will have face legal consequences.
Even then, i had sent an email to customer care, asking them to revise the bill and send it to me, so that i would make the payment.
Today i received a call from Advocate Rahul sharma stating that i had a total outstanding bill amount of 1919 and if i fail to pay the same then i will have to face legal actions from delhi court.
He told me that he would freeze my bank account and i would have to pay some 1 lakh rupees, if i fail to make the total payment immediately.
In order to avoid further more consequences, i just paid back the so called amount, But this advocate was not even ready to listen to what i say. He just wanted me to make the payment and tell him the transaction details right away, when i was on call.
This is really frustrating action from Tikona and i need some sort of justice for this kind of acts.
