Vodafone — delay in services committed

i had transfer my telecom service from prepaid to postpaid on 20th january 2012.. and was committed 100 free msg+500 local minutes+1 vodafone no. free from lifetime.

neither of those commitments are fulfilled and i have been billed a amount of Rs.700 due to negligence from the service provider.

i had called the customer care more than 100 time , they always come up with a reply - your services will be activate in 72 hours.

today when i called they said that there is no such service on your number..

their are difference in opinion in the company only.

and i as a consumer is suffering.
don't know who will solve.
Vodafone is cheating customer.

      Hi,
Iam vodafone mobile user. I have been using vodafone mobile service since
year 2008. My present mobile no. is +91 [protected].

I have two case id`s ([protected] and [protected] with Vodafone - Maharashtra)
Issue 1 : I was charged for calling the Vodafone toll free number(198)
Issue 2 : My GPRS usage timings do not tally with information provided by
      the customer support agent
Issue 3 : My cell number([protected]) is barred from calling the customer
support for 15 days.( The customer support agents and supervisors
intentionally disconnected my calls, which made me to call the customer support
again and again leading to the barring of my cell number)

Vodafone Customers are confused by pausing the hold tone for long time and also during the transfer of call to any supervisor, the call is intentionally disconnected.

I was promised a call back from the vodafone Maharastra(India) back-end
customer support manager but even after 3 to 4 days of the promised call
back time, there was no response.
When I called in the vodafone customer care again (10th August 2010), the
customer support supervisor promised that I would get a call back from the
backend customer support manager manger within 24 hours. As promised, Just
for the formality of call back( 11th August 2010), I got a call(single ring)
and before I could pick it,the back-end customer support manager
intentionally disconnected the call and then I received a message from
Vodafone stating that " I couldn't be reached..". This has happened many
      times before.
Later(on 11th August 2010), I got a call from the Vodafone backend customer support manager and promised me that they will refund the charges (issue 1) withn 24 hours and lift the ban on my Vodafone mobile number(91 [protected]) from calling the custmer care(issue 3) within 12 hours.
But till date (15-Aug-2010) there is no response form Vodafone in this regard.

Since 15 days Vodafone is being very dishonest and fooling with me . I m totally upset in this regard.
      .

So, I kindly request you to help me in this regard.

      Regards

Vodafone is sending a lot of service message & once i accidently pressed the retreived button once, hereafter every month they are deducting monthly rental charge without asking a confirmation. I tried several times in customer care, but there is no option regarding such deactivation. They are purposely trapping the customers in such a way with their many such services. So we need an immediate action against such trap as i can't afford such charges. More over my mob is not supporting tha web services as i haven't took web service till this time.
They are purposefully trapping the customers in such a way & many people getting trapped by this type of numorous calls/mssgs with out asking any confirmation dialogue. Immediate action required as they can provide a confirmation dialogue box before finalising any service or appoint a customer care executive for attending such complaint calls. The system generated customer care are not supporting the deactivation of such problems.
Vodafone is simply trapping & exploiting the customers.

On 13th April'10, I had given written application and photocopy of my driving license for surrender my vodafone number [protected] at Gurudwara road Gurgaon's office . That time executive accepted my request but not given any acknowledgment. Today (13th Aug'10), I got a call from [protected] and the guys was asking that my bill Rs. 300+ pending for [protected] number. When I surrendered number, I had already paid extra amount. Again, I made a call on 111 and mini store vodafone but they all are asking that my connection is still working.

Still, I'm very surprised that I have already surrendered number but number is still working and guys asking for bill amount.

                Kindly solve this matter.

I reported this problem to customer care. They are telling, the problem will persist for atleast 3 months.

Its not possible to change the number. Please do needful.

                    Dear Sir,

Till now my problem is unsolved and now I am now fed up. I cannot keep more patience.

I was told by your executive that your company will get a final solution to this problem by the end of March'09 and for the time being I would be provided with an instrument which will enhance network coverage in my mobile handset and I was promised that I will get that instrument within 3-4 days. But today 10 days have passed and I am yet to receive that instrument. I am still out of coverage throughout the day and presently keeping a mobile phone is of no use for me.

My business and personal life is getting highly effected.

Sir, I am a vodafone customer since 5 yrs and have always paid my bills regularly and I feel really sad to experience that a customer who is more than 5 yrs old is getting this type of treatment from your company. He keeps on mailing and mailing and complaining and complaining and in return he gets only promiseses from your company and its executives and officers and no action from your end to help the customer.

I am mailing you since 8th Jan'09 and today is 18th Feb'09. This means I have waited for 40 days for a solution from your end which I have not got yet.The only solution which comes to my mind is either change my office (which I cannot do) or change my service provider (which I definately can do, under these circumstances, where I am nowhere at fault and where I am not getting any kind of cooperation or service or help and response from my current service provider).

I would also like to infom you that my office is situated at the heart of Ring Road. Its is not situated underground or away from the city. There is good network coverage of Idea, Reliance and Airtel at my office. The only company which does not have its network here is Vodafone. So I think that there is no point in continuing with Vodafone and there is no point to remain out of coverage all the times and getting complains from family, clients and business associates and loosing a lot of money and incurring losses only because of remaining out of coverage.

Sir, I would like to discontinue using your services.Pls let me know the necessary formalities. Also pls let me know the names and e mail IDs of higher authorities of customers' care so that I could let them know the circumstances which forced me to change my service provider.

                    Regards...

                    Pls help !!!

I am using your services since 5 yrs

Its now one month since I am complaining and my complain has not yet been attended.

There is no network problem in so far as Airtel, Idea and Reliance is concerned in the place where my office is situated.

I am sorry to say that I am not getting proper response from your side even though I have sent you a number of mails and if this is continued and if I do not get a proper solution for my problem asap I am sorry to inform you that I will have to change my service provider.

                    Dear Sir,

I am using Vodafone/Hutch services since 5 yrs as a post paid customer. My Mobile Number is [protected].
I am having my office at 1089/90, Ambaji Market, Kamela Darwaza, Ring Road, Surat.

I have never faced any problem at my office so far as network of Vodafone is concerned. I used to enjoy really good network service of Vodafone at my office. But since last 3-4 months, there is no network coverage of Vodafone at my office.I am out of coverage for the whole day.My business and personal life is getting highly effected because of no network of Vodafone at my office.

Pls take necessary action in this regard asap.

                    Regards...

                    VODAFONE NETWORK COVERAGE

Sir, I am a vodafone customer since 3 yrs and have always paid my bills regularly and I feel really sad to experience that a customer who is more than 5 yrs old is getting this type of treatment from your company.

                    Regards...

Well I am facing the same issue and have escalated this already. I hope we will get due attention and will get this issue resolved ASAP.
I also reside in this society and raised first complaint on July 31st and they gave me three months time. Of course three months have already been passed but they keep giving me another three months time every time I ask for the status and finally decided to wait for Number portability to come. I think you should also do the same thing,

Vodafone sends filthy messages as image services. It comes as a Service message. If you try open and read that you will have to forgo 100 RS with out knowing. If you call customer care they say you have used their Image services as a Internet service. Dont read messages from Vodafone. Crap Company deducts money with out proper reply. Give a Complain and take the Complaint number. See what happen to that Complaint. Mere crap company will just close the complaint as resolved with out solutions.

I am a specialist Doctor by profession and I'm working abroad since last MAY,2010. I have come outside India for a contract job for appx. 1 year.THAT'S WHY,I HAVE FROZEN MY Vodafone India postpaid NUMBER -[protected] for one year period by paying the necessary amont 600 RS on 09.05.2010(9TH MAY,2010) IN south DELHI VODAFONE store..I just freezed the no.;because,I used the number for a long period of time and I thought to CONTINUE WITH THE NUMBER WHEN I COME BACK AGAIN IN INDIA AFTER 1 YEAR.
.Even after freezing my number they generated some bill against my name in June,2010 and my local representative in India even paid that amount-Apx .Rs. 2500.I also paid another Rs 3000 before coming from India on 2nd may,2010.
Now,I got another mail via SBI credit card, stating that Vodafone Essar mobile services Limited have generated a bill of Rs.2998.71 for month of August,2010 AND DUE DATE OF 21 AUGUST,2010 given to me.(My vodafone postpaid bill is connected with my SBI CARD-whenever there is bill generation they(SBI CARD inform me via email to pay via SBI card).(NOTE-SBI CARD is a very good ORGANIZATION;they have nothing to do with this complaint0
                              NOW,I have some serious query
1When I have frozen my account on 9th MAY,2010;and,my local representative cleared all my remaining dues inVODAFONE store in New Delhi in JUNE,2010 to their full satisfaction. Now,HOW CAN they GENERATE A BILL FOR ME ON AUGUST,2010?; I AM REALLY SURPRISED,SHOCKED AND as well asIRRITATED.
2.THIS SEEMS TO BE Nothing but Cheating and harassing innocent victims like us..My local representative already paid that huge bill in JUNE,2010-which also seems exaggerated to me.I need full explanation of all these suspicious irregularities in VODAFONE POST-PAID BILLS.NOW,THESE Vodafone India is trying to extract some more money from me by generating BILLS against my FREEZED NUMBER.
                              Kindly respond at the earliest.
                              Regards,

I am using Vodafone mobile service no [protected]. For the past one weak, I am talking to my friend about many important business matters. When we are talking, we can hear a TIP, TIP sound once in minutes. Some times, our voice is also gets Echo and i have started getting blank call. I suspect that our cell phone is trapped.

Hi Whoever reads this and takes some action,

So here's the story. I bought this iPhone 3G almost 2 years agon from Vodafone India, Wheelers Road, Bangalore. I paid 30 grands for that upfront. Despite this, those buggers did not unlock the phone and provide me with a networked locked phone, locked to their network. It's been two years since then, and even my warranty has expired. Upon asking them to unlock the phone for me because I paid the cost upfront and that I am shifting to another country, these nincompoops reply with the most appalling message saying that they cannot unlock the phone because it is network locked. Now if some gentleman could explain it to them or me, if they are not the network then who the damn network is. And why in the world are they still running this crappiest piece of business of their. I am attaching few mail which I exchanged with them recently and also in the past. Having said that, now that I am not in India any more, I hope some one shoves up this mail up their arse and puts some senses in their nitwit brain. Especially this figure, Monica from the Corporate Care Karnataka.
There are more such mails as attached below.

                                  Regards,
                                  Abhijeet
(Extremely dissatisfied and won't recommend them to any one. Airtel locks the iPhones purchased from them)

                                  Dear Ms. Monica,

That was precisely why I have been chasing you guys for the past one year,
to unlock it; to be more precise, network unlock it so that any other SIM
card can be used on it from any other network across the world. Let me give
                                  you some real world scenarios/examples:
If you buy an iPhone here in Australia from any network carrier / vendor, it
is usually carrier locked (if and only if taken on a Contract and NOT by
paying the full cost of the phone upfront), or as you prefer to call it
'network locked'. The carrier/network/cellular operator, such as Vodafone,
Optus, Three, etc., then unlocks or carrier/network-unlocks the iPhone,
either for a fee i[censored]nlocked before the contract is over or free otherwise,
such that it can be used on any other network using other SIM cards. If you
purchase an iPhone by paying upfront, the way I purchased from Vodafone
India (probably one of my biggest mistakes), the phone is already unlocked.
Having said that, its the network operator, which is you, has the unlock
codes / necessary technology to unlock the phone and NOT Apple or any other
                                  operator.

Now, if you're saying that you cannot carry out a job which is precisely
yours, my honest suggestion would be to kindly pass on this message to your
superiors that they better shutdown their friggin' worthless company which
cannot provide services to their customers and be honest. Furthermore, in
your future responses, kindly do not beat around the bush, as is quite
                                  apparent in your last mail.

                                  Regards,
                                  Abhijeet

                                  Vodafone — iPhone 3G locked

I have to travel abroad and require vodafone to unlock my iphone which I have been using for more than a year. I have also been using the same number since more than ten years and don't plan to leave vodafone. I have been in correspondence with them and twice they had called me and asked my IMEI number and told me that the iphone will be unlocked after a permission is granted.
But today, their nodal officer spoke to me and refused to help me.
Vodafone doesn't make us sign any contracts for the iphone 3g, they haven't given me a specific time frame after which they would unlock my phone. As a businessman I have to travel abroad regularly and it's very expensive to use vodafone's number there. It's also torturing to face the fact that even after paying the entire amount to buy the phone i'm not able to make it my own. It's almost as if it's on rent and I would have to use it as per the whims and fancies of the vodafone nodal officers and only with their permission my phone would be granted 'freedom'. There have been precedents where they have unlocked people's iphones.
I personally know a person living in Chennai whose vodafone iphone 3g was unlocked within 15 days as he was about to travel abroad.
I need my phone to be unlocked urgently as i have to leave soon.

                                    Hello,

I received a message on the mobile from DM-month that I have won 2500$ and i have to contact the number +[protected] to redeem. I called that number and was kept on the IVR for several minutes and they didn't connect me to the representative.
In the end when I checked my balance I realized that my 100 rs. balance has become zero.
These are the gimmicks that these service providers are using.
There should be a check on these activities.

                                    Thanks,
