This is a story of tired customer of goibibo who lost complete patience and vexed with your services.
Myself suresh katamsetty studying in the england had booked the flight from bangalore to london using goibibo website.
The website booked a tickets showing as cheapest rate available for following.
Bangalore to delhi
Delhi to paris
Paris to london (Vueling airlines)
Goibibo made us (Including my partner) to book the tickets from bangalore to london with 2hr 50min transit time in paris on[protected], but we thought transit time was enough to catch the flight.
As soon as arrived at the paris airport terminal 2, we are not allowed to board the flight as the flight to london was leaving from terminal 3 which is only allowed for the passengers with schengen visa. While booking the tickets goibibo mentioned only that you may required transit visa, other than nothing else mentioned anywhere. Airport authorities denied to provide the transit visa as it is invalid to terminal 3. We are not allowed to collect our bags even. Had roam everywhere in the airport to seek some help but no help has been provided.
They have only given two choices either you should go back to india or to uk but with different flight from same terminal. Since we have no choice i have paid 51, 000 inr to book the flight then and there to london but with no bags.
After reaching here when explained to goibibo they mentioned goibibo is not responsible for your situation. I wonder, what goibibo is responsible for just booking tickets??
If i had booked a individual ticket from paris to london then definitely goibibo is not responsible, but when i searched for flight from bangalore to london you have shown the search results to book flights to london without having any knowledge of how local flights and terminals work? Isn't this is your mistake?
I have paid 51, 000 extra (What if i don't have money at that point
Of time) for air tickets.
I have called to vueling airlines and explained the situation then they refunded 169 euros to goibibo on[protected], and then provide a copy of refund statement with payment reference details. I have sent this copy to goibibo, but goibibo till now
Hasn't given any clarification on this. Every single day, i make a call to goibibo and only the response is we are looking into it.
In the whole case, i have figured out few issues in the goibibo.
When i searched flight from bangalore to london heathrow.
It showed result for london gatwick as well - which i overlooked and booked the ticket - goibibo has shown erroneous result here (In case, if you want to show other airports results goibibo must prompt the user that it has the result of other airports as well)
Goibibo booked multi airlines with different terminals having no minimum knowledge of visa rules.
Goibibo doesn't seems to care about customers knowledge as customers doesn't have any knowledge about visa rules when travelling to the destination.
I'm sure 80% of passengers only cares about how soon they reach the destination with low fares.
However, even after vueling airlines refunds the money, but goibibo is not willing to refund the customer even without realizing that mistake was happened from their end.
I'm totally tired of calling to goibibo everyday for the refund resolution.
What have i lost in the whole journey?
51, 000 - extra fares from london to paris
8000 - paid extra for baggage allowance as vueling airlines doesn't allow baggage (Which i come to know that after booking ticket))
No bags received for 5 days and spent extra 200 pounds for clothes and food.
I'm totally vexed with services of goibibo and response and uninstalled the app.
Complaint number 30963803 has all details about the issue.
To send this message i have subscribed for linkedin premium with 46 pounds which is another loss for me.
