I bought sundirect connection on[protected] and at that time they charge me 3090 for the connection and three month subscription of mega hd pack. On 5-03-19 my service was stoped and when i contacted the customer service they it's coz of trai.

As per the pack which i bought it clearly say that i should get 3 months of subscription.. Called customer service they don't understand the issue and there was no service for 3 days... Post that they started the service with very less channels as compared to the mega pack with the validity till 8-04-19 which ideally should be till[protected].

I have paid the amount they ask and now this is harrasment... Pathetic service and even worst customer service they have... Called them several times but all in vain.

I have using sundirect hd box recharged 1year plan but they revised validity before 1 month and give sun package force ably I have complained to costumer care not resolved my mobile number [protected] not informed to change a plan they told tai rules.

    Sun direct didn't respond to my call and the customer care services are gives worst experience to me. They didn't accept calls from the customers from different users.. I complained about my balance deduction before 25days. They did not solve my problem. Once again i explained about my problem. I recharged rs 212 (Telugu pack), additionally rs 25 for zee network. My amount deducted but my wallet wasn't recharged. What is this service and how they can cheat their customers. I want explanation. I also sad with trai new regulations. How they taken these steps to create problems to normal peoples. We didn't know about the offers of these dth packs. How we know they did not respond to customers calls

      Hi,

      When i topup for rs 500 in my sundirect account, i see only 440rs balance in the account. When i enquired with customer service, they said, from january, 1, 2019, new rule came, which is, sun direct will take a 12% tax whenever we topup our account. I do not understand what kind of tax is this?
      Is it the gst? If not, then what tax it is?
      If it is gst, why do you need to cut 12% just for a topup (Which is not a service, but just a topup). For service, there is an 18% tax is levied after channel selection and recharge? And why start after january 1, 2019. What is this new rule? Did you inform the same to your customers?

      Also, sudirect doesnt give us an option to recharge with channels based pricing. Sun direct wants customers to topup in the denominations of 100s, 200s and 500s. Why is that? Customized recharge options are not available?

      There is a maximum recharge balance loot after the trai rules were applied. Channels get deactivated even after a month recharge, or get channels get migrated from lower priced plan to higher priced plans, and money is taken without authorization under the name of autorenewals of channels.

      Shame. Give me a clarification on the 12% tax cut on topup, and customized recharge options.

      It's not only about sundirect the same rate of tax is being deducted even in videocon d2h
      I also having same issue, but sundirect customer support not giving clarity on this. If they contacter you please update here.

        The free pick of channels to be viewed by the customer doesn't seem to success.. I think trai has to rephrase this as free pick according to the providers package availability.

        Unfortunately, all the free channels which i had opted were not provided as they told that that had not been included with them.. I don't see any transparency on how this is implimented across. Seems its all according to the wish of the service provider.

          I bought the sun direct connection by nov.2018 with rs.4500 as full hd channels for the period 1 year.. Now the particular channels are disconnected.. However i got the sms stating that some channels are blneed to be paid he certainly disconnecting.. But i've already paid for all the channels.. Then why did u cut.. And i tried sun direct customer service several time.. It's not at all connecting.. Worst customer service i propose.. Resolve my problem..

            My smart card no is [protected]. I have done the annual subscription of 6300 for hd ultra mega pack on 15th sep 2019. But they disconnected my connection on 7th mar 2019 stating that they have changed according to trai and i paid on march 8th 2019 again for a month. I have contacted the customer care but they didn't respond properly. There are 2 womens in customer care and they were jayanthi and sivaranjini. They are shouting at me and laughing at my issues by the customer care. Seriously it is very frustrating. Evert time i call, they raise tickets and asked me to wait for 48 hrs. But they close the ticket unresolved. Very bad customer service and mostly they put my call more than 45 mins on hold and the call will be more than 50 mins. I need a proper response and also i need refund for 6 months so that i can use that amount for trai's new pack. I need help and immediate action asap.

              My Sundirect TV plan got changed automatically, causing most of channels are not showing. Getting message, "Please contact our call center to activate".
              This is redeculous that, plan got migrated to a different plan without notification.

              My one year subscription is still valid till June this year, but all of sudden I am unable to watch 90% of the channels we watch.

              If it is migrated as per TRAI rules or guidelines, then it needs to be migrated to atleast "HD Telugu DPO Pack 3" for the amount I paid for one year subscription and I can watch same channels as before.

              This issue persists since 10 days without a resolution. I am looking for an immediate response.

              customer care representatives disconnecting calls after keeping on long hold(faced this situation many times with Sundirect call representatives)

              Worst response ever seen. Want to get rid of this connection

                Hi Team,

                This is Sunil and my smart card number [protected]. I was watching news about TRAI mandatory packages and Sun Direct or not updated in portal.
                I have contacted sun direct customer care on dated 31.01.2019 and requested to let us know the plan and they suggested to activate amount of Rs.1300 and it will be 6 month valid. I have done recharge on 01.02.2019 as suggested by Sun Direct Customer Care.

                On 25.02.2019 i have noticed some of the channels are available as per my pack and contact with Sun Direct customer care. They told me that we migrated your plan to DPO Pack 2. we did not requested to shift which plan we required and mean time without my consent they deducted 150 from my Main balance.

                when i contacted customer care to change my plan on March 6th they agreed to change to DPO pack 2 and additional to that i have requested for some Add on channels which will cost 38 including GST per month. They suggested to add amount of Rs.250 in wallet and they will deduct for 6 month. By that time i have main balance in my account is Rs.12 and after adding it was 262.

                The issue started when i done recharge they straight away deducted 18% as service charge and 18% GST. I know they need to deduct only 18% and why you people deducted 36%. please can you comment on this and they activated only for one month and my main balance is 191. I could not able to understand if they deducted Rs.38 then its need to be balance amount of Rs.214 and why it was 191.

                  On 1st of sep 2018 bought sun dth hd setup box with 1 year subscription plan for hd ultra tamil cinema plus sports basic subscription package with an validity of 31/08/2019.

                  On 5th of march 2019, received an message stating that my plan has been migrated to best fit plan as advised by trai and validity has been reduced to 19/08/2019. This plan has only 50 % of channels activated against initial plan.

                  Request you to look into the matter and ensure that all original channels are restored at the earliest.

                  Not able to open sun tv channel number 100 I do not know the PIN number
                  I have got some serious and urgent problem in regard to channel viewing. Some of the channels have been abruptly stopped . Trying to contact the call center but no response for the past one week. None of the call center number is working. So irresponsible. I am missing some important news channel even though I have paid for it.
                  The plan is changed in backend from Tamil super pack to Tamil DPO1. and Channels are not coming, showing 'Reserved smart card code".

                  Pathetic part is the Customer care number is not reachable. No response in the live chat in Sundirect site.

                  Is there any other way to reach out these guys?

                    I had did several request to their customer service but they are promising it will be very soon in to their platform, but almost one month is waiting to get this Chanel.

                        I am trying to reach sun direct customer service executive through all the toll-free and regional contact details shared by sun direct on their website, i also tried to chat online with them for my complaint. But they are completely irresponsive. They keep me waiting for 11 mins every time and then i have to forcefully disconnect the call.
                        Sun direct team is very painful... They are nota ll bothered about their customer.
                        I want to get rid of this connection and shift to another connection.

                        I m sorry to say but sundirect has become a very big pain for me... I very strongly suggest people not go with sundirect because you guys have better solution.
                        Sun direct is horrible..!
                        Migration process not as per TRAI rules
                        The Basic 100 channels for rs.153 as per TRAI
                        But all DTH services charging rs.153 and providing unrelated chanels and providing tamil Chanels in cost
                        Worst service. I couldn't get customer support even after trying 1000 times. Tried for chat but it's showing service only 9 to 9.I tried from 5pm to 6 pm. Very irritating. My card number of sun direct [protected]
                        I want new connection in sun direct. But I'm waiting for 10 days. Customer service is very bad in dth. But I'll take that TWO LEADS but no response. My timing is wast.                         I haven't seen this type of worst servicing DTH ever.i have taken a new connection today in warangal.while locating the DTH system on the building by drill he made cracks on the wall.how can u send such inefficient workers to the work.now I'm going to face lot of problems with my room owner.i have not paid anything till now.and now I won't pay anything.to pay the amount come and correct all the mistakes done by ur agent.

                          My name is g dilip kumar from 12 days omwards omwards my dish was not working i have given so many complaints on speak up app but they did the only telephonic conversation i have recent complaint about setup box the person has come and changed the box and collected 150/- i asked him it had warrenty and he said it is service charge but the channels are not coming and he said with in 2hrs it will come still now we are not getting any...i think sundirect is no more because of TROY rules we are facing problems and wasting money better to move on to local APFSL WORST SERVICE EVER hii there 2 days back i have sent you a mail and you have called me but no use worst service ever on my village no one dish is working better to move on to..ANOTHER WASTE SUNDIRECT

                          Last two months the sun direct hd set-off box has shown the message -signel problems and check with your cable connection or check the customer care.only view for 4to 7 channel only.and second problem I can not able to watch the sun next on my mobile.every time ask the code for activation.but I have not yet received any activation code

                            This was the complaint sent by email to sundirect and also contacted their customer support but no answers yet.

                            Kindly give me a reply as to why my existing account, smart card/cdsn no. [protected] with package 'hd ultra malayalam cinema plus sports basic subscription' with validity till 29/05/2019 was suddenly downgraded to some basic pack in the name of trai policy and given a validity till 25/04/2019 with limited no of channels left to watch now.

                            I would like to remind that i have paid full amount for 'hd ultra malayalam cinema plus sports basic subscription' with validity till 29/05/2019.

                            Kindly let me know where my money has gone. Contacted your customer care and they have no clear answers other than saying trai policy. If i need to watch more channels then i have to choose and pay again. I told them that it's only march now and i have already paid till may 2019 then they have no answers.

                            I have already paid for a package till may 2019. Even if it is due to trai policy sundirect should show the minimum decency to give me a decent package with validity till 29/05/2019 or they should refund me the subscription amount already paid in advance till 29/05/2019.

                            There is no justification as to why you stopped my current plan to a basic plan with minimum channels and reduced my validity from may 2019 to april 2019 and ask me to pay again that too from march 2019.

                            Refund my money or extend my validity with a standard plan similar to the one for which i had paid till 29/05/2019

                            Kindly give me an early reply. If not satisfied i will be approaching trai and consumer court for justice. Enclosing screenshot of my actual package.

                            My DTH smart card number is [protected].I have activated sun direct one year plan on 28/10/2018 which expires on 28/10/2019..but due to New rule By TRAI .the plan has been migrated to the best fit plan and revised validity also 28/10/2019..but now suddenly the recharge due date shows as 05/04/2019 not 28/10/2019.. Contacted the sun direct customer care but they didn't solve the issue. And they are saying that I have to recharge latest by 5th April 2019 to continue to view the channels.1 yr plan was reduced to 5 month plan without my consent and they r cheating d customers..so please take necessary action on this issue and to activate my one year plan..

                              Sundirect has changed my one year subscription pack, and i am unable to change it back. I paid another rs450 ignorantly, but still unable to get the subscribed packages.
                              Why sundirect asking me to pay money, as my money still pending with them.

                                Recently they did some migration and a lot of channels i have been getting got completely lost. U
                                Tried calling customer care. 3 things happen when i do that

                                2. Alternate number goes thru and cuts abruptly
                                3. Extreme situation - an agent picked up from 0431 area code, talked and abruptly cut my call

                                  Customer support team are disconnecting the calls in between without providing the proper resolution.

                                  Every person assisting every team is providing different resolution. I need this to escalate this concern of not communcating the technical issues, the behavioral issues and also the migration of packs as per rules. Customer is not being communicated in this process.

                                    I had taken up dth for 6 months kannada channels pack.

                                    From past 10 days am not getting channels such as star sports-1 animal planet, discovery channel etc.
                                    I learnt that these channels need to be subscribed.
                                    I did subscribe once again and transferred money on line.
                                    But the channels have not been activated.
                                    Worst of all is help lines are not working
                                    If customer is not important for sun direct they must shut their shop and inform customers

                                      Sun dth consumer number: [protected]
                                      I have been on long term plan with sun dth which had more than 52 hd channel and almost all sports channel. This subscription was 1 year. But they have migrated my plan to some other plan quoting trai regulation. But trai advisory clearly says via gazette notification dated 3rd march 2017 that "chapter 3 -10. Restriction on discontinuation and modification of subscribed bouquet during its lock-in period when all the constituent channels are available on distribution platform. — no distributor of television channels shall discontinue any bouquet, or modify the composition of the bouquet, subscribed by the subscriber during its lock-in period or during the period for which subscription amount has been paid in advance by such subscriber in pursuance of any scheme offered by the distributor, if all the channels forming part of the bouquet continue to be available on its platform".
