I had booked one Ticket on yatra.com for travel date 24th September 2011 on 19th september 2011. However we decided not to travel on the said date and kept on trying to cancel the ticket on 22nd & 23rd september 2011. On 23rd finally I wrote a mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in. I got a revert from the id at 10.38 P.M same date mentioning that the since ticket has been booked through yatra.com request you to contact agent as we require mail from agent. Thus I wrote a mail to [protected]@yata.com at 6.24 A.M on 24th to write to irctc so that they can cancel my ticket.I got a generic mail at 6.52 A.M from yatra stating that yatra has received my query and shall be responsing shortly and assigned ref no 7156729.to my complaint.I didn't receive any revert and chart preparation time was nearing and thus I wrote again at 1.48 P.M stating that the ticket is not showing as cancelled and I have not received any revert and please ensure that full amount is refunded back to me.For this mail I got a revert at 4.11 P.M giving another reference number PXR8DE and stating that the said tiocket remained waitlisted and I will get a refund to my CC automatically within 5-6 days. However my ticket had got confirmed as I had checked the same by through sms service.So I wrote one more mail at 8.43 P.M informing that the ticket got confirmed despite my so many mails and since I have not travelled and informed you well in advance and cancellations were not happening so please refund the amount to me.For which I got one more reply 1.25 P.M on 25th stating that the cancellations can be done on our site only and for confirmed tickets TDR is required to be filed after 24 hours and applicable charges are deducted from the same. I again wrote a mail to on 25th at 9.27 P.M informing that the process provided is a normal process and since site was not working irctc required a mail fr4om yatra and I have not received copy of any such mail but I am entitled for full refund so refund my amount. I didn't receive any revert for the same and thus I sent another reminder to yatra on 27th september at 11.27 A.M for which I again got an apology and I was asked to file a TDR for refund no process for TDR etc was given and since TDR will deduct some charges no mention of balance money which will be deducted because of yatra's fault was given. I again wrote a mail on 28th September 2011 at 12.42 stating that all that is written by yatra is normal process and they should check the cpomplete chain of mails and ensure that the amount is refunded to my account by 29th evening else I will move to consumer court. The entire episode is a complete service lapse on part of yatra and they have not bothered to call and resolve my query.

It's more than 7 days when yatra team is looking into the issue. I got a call on 04th october 2011 from yatra where the official was not even aware of the complete rules and regulation and had not even read my mails completely. I got a mail again on 04th october 2011 to file TDR which I have done yesterday but also communicated that any difference must be paid by yatra. My concern is yatra team is still doing selective reading and trying to resolve the issue and no responsible person is actually trying to read the complete mails and taking action.
I have again received a mail from yatra today stating an incorrect rule. Yatra team has written that as per IRCTC rules for journeys of more than 1200 KM charts are prepared 12 hours in advance and since my mail was received at 6.28 A.M in the morning by the time chart was already prepared. As per IRTCT the ruke states For e-Ticket, booking can be done upto chart Preparation approximately 4 to 6 hours before departure of train.For morning trains with departure time upto 12.00 hrs charts are prepared on the previous night.

In addition I travel by August Kranti regularly and chart is prepared around 3.00 P.M only. Infact I had received a mail from yatra on 24th around 4.00 P.M stating that your tickets are waitlisted and you will receive a refund. I have been re-iterating this in all my communications again and again and still no one is reading the complete chain of mails and quoting incorrect rules again and again.

It is ridiculous how can some one continue to revert to consumer complaints with incorrect rules and regulations and don't even bother to check all the reverts that people from there own organisation have also reverted. Even when I have given the rules and regulations as mentioned on the IRCTC yatra ooficials continue to quote incorrect regulations.

    I have not availed the journey from Guwahati to Aizwal due to cancellation of the flight on 30 May 2011 PNR-JMEZTO . After cancellation of the flight I approach to the Jet airways counter for the cancellation of the ticket & refund my money.They cancelled the ticket & told me that money come in your account by net banking .But I have not received refund till date. So I request you to help me to refund the money with the all correspondence expanses from last 4 months & harassment value to the consumer.

      Hello,

      Today i got a call from [protected], Some random Delhi number.. saying that,
      they are calling from "Yatra.com" and they are offering some 25,000 rupees discount
      For special and Selected candidates on domestic and international flights and hotel
      reservations which is completely transferable to family and friends.

      They also said they would provide some "Yatra Dining + Discount Card" with which one
      could avail 25% discount on any purchase through out india.
      He asked me my credit card details(16 digit no. and expiry date) so that he could pin my existing
      Credit cards with the new Yatra card.
      When i hesitated to give him the details his approach completely changed and i
      was confirmed that he was a fraud.

      Immediately when i checked on the forum, i found some more entries for this
      kind of fraud.
      Thank you for sharing this information. I too received a similar call some time back and he too was asking similar details. I denied giving all these details and asked him to call me later after I verify all the information online.
      Good that I searched for details.

        This is sowmya from Bangalore. I booked a package tour for Malaysia along with my brother with yatra.com. The booking reference number is 7223985 at residency road Bangalore office of yatra.com.
        By paying Rs 17000 as the advance amount i.e. 25% of the package. The package cost was Rs 70,000. The executive over the phone told us that if in case we cancel the trip the entire cost will be
        reimbursed. The departure was on aug 18, 2011. My mother was not well and she was supposed to undergo surgery immediately. So we tried to cancel the trip from the last week of July. But the
        executives were not responding to our call or the mails. As I was out of station I could not go to their office personally. Hence I sent them a mail on 9th Aug to asking them to cancel the package. Then
        the executive sent a mail telling if we cancel the trip before 15days, 75% of the holiday cost will be forfeited. That means we have to pay them another Rs 35000 as the cancellation charges, even
        though if we don’t travel. Executive Mr Justin james told me that if I reschedule the trip I don’t have to pay anything, i will be loosing just Rs 4,000 as cancellation charges. So I thought I will travel once
        my mother is well and i applied for fresh passport for my mother. Later another executive told me that rescheduling of the package cannot be done and i will be loosing all my money. After a week the
        same executive called me and told that Rs 6,000 will be reimbursed. So I contacted CEO Mr Dhruv Shringi who directed Mr Manish Bharati, director of south zone of yatra.com to resolve my case. But
        Mr Manish Bharati also replied back telling me that they cant reimburse any money instead they will give me the holiday voucher of Rs 6,000 which can be redeemed against the package of Rs 50,000
        package. The executives tortured me by changing their words every other day and compelling me to change my plans. I have already spent lakhs together on my mothers surgery, at this time I can’t
        travel anywhere and I want my money back and also I want compensation for harassing me. Am ready to fight to any level to against them as they have tortured me at the time of medical emergency.
        The executives stopped responding to me when I told them I want to cancel my trip. Over the phone they told that entire holiday cost will be reimbursed if I cancel before a week. But when I sent them a
        mail to cancel they replied by sending their policies which says 75% of the cost will be forfeited if we cancel before a week. But how can they ask me to pay again Rs 35,000 even though we have
        already cancelled it. I want justice. Yatra.com is a fraud. Please provide me the justice by helping me to get back my advance money from Yatra with interest. And also i need compensation for torturing me at the time of my mothers surgery.

          Hi

          Yatra has been the most unprofessional people that I have dealt with while booking my tickets. First of all, when it came to a refund on cancellation of booking, they completely backtracked on the tickets being refunded. After numerous calls to their call center, once they agreed to process the refund its been a month, and there has been no refund. On calling their call center, the agents are rude and I still have to see the face of my refund.

          very true, pathetic services and unprofessional people. i will be submitting my case and complaint very soon.
          i m facing the same problem. No contact number intact is reachable and I am trying for last 2 days. Emailed as well for cancellation but no response. I need to fly today urgently. All these company do is apologize and get satisfied rather taking responsibility for such lethargic service.

            Hi,

            I got this call from an executive claiming to be from yatra.com from the number[protected]. She proposed to me Discover the India offer for INR 6616.00. In which i was to get vouchers worth INR 20000.00 from yatra.com. After my repeated interaction she confirmed me that i can use the whole vouchers against my air travel. I purchased it.

            Now after two days i was told that no i can't do that and blah blah blah. I registered a complaint with them which they verified from the recordings of the conversation that i was true and they have commited me wrongly. Now when i asked them to return my money they are not willing to do so. I got a call from someone Meghna and she told me that it's not possible to return the money.

            This is a clear case of fraud and cheating.
            I want strict actions against them.

              Hi,
              I received a call from PLAT5 consultancy regarding some YATRA flight vouchers and other benefits (polo watch, free shopping card and a voucher for stay in Jim Corbett National park) from number [protected] on 25th Aug. I already paid 6067/- from my account and yet not received any mail or any type of communication. I was told that i will be sent e-vouchers for yatra which i didnt receive till date. They gave me [protected] to call at if i have any issues, but it always goes to their mailbox and all their associates are always busy... seems they are too busy in fooling other people aorund...
              Their website also looks fraudulent where I was not able to post a grievance query.
              This should be dealt with serious punishment as the company is not keeping up to the promise made and making false commitments.

                I am J.Inbaraj,Reader, DTERT,Chennai-6.I booked an e,ticket through my fri. 7311end N.Sathi to Delhi on 26 July,2011. Booking Number is 7311876.I flew to Delhi by SG -308 Spicejet on 26th July and was scheduled to return by Jet connect 9w-2255 on 28th July,2011.But the ground staff of Jet Konnect said boarding time was over by 10.50 and refused me a boarding pass though the flight was to leave by 11.15 hours only.I had to catch the next flight .I informed Jet Airways to cancel my ticket.The counter sales person said I would lose Rs.680 /- .I had to collect my ticket in Terminal one .Jet staff signed in a register all the details of my ticket and let me go out of the airport..So,with out taking endorsement of cancellation but only a signature on the e,ticket about the time of reporting ,i managed to rush to Terminal one in Delhi to buy a ticket from spicejet and flew back home by SG 303 on 28.July 1.50 pm .Confirmation No was D9RJCP through Akbar travels.Till date the money has not been refunded .I have the signed copy of e.ticket and the boarding pass of Spicejet return return journeyon 28th july itself. yatra has a reputation to live by .I want positive dirction from them.                     Dear Sir,

                    I have booked a Ticket Online with Yatra 2 months ago and changed the date via Air India (for which i paid a seperate amount of 15,000) I wanted to cancel this ticket for personal reasons, after cancellation Yatra told me to get the details of my credit card statement and the cancelled ticket from Yatra. I have done over 5 rounds of Air India and Yatra. Yatra telling me that Air India has to give the total amount and vice versa. I Finally got Yatra to agree that they would refund the total amount as per email but they have not done so and now do not reply to emails or calls. I have mentioned my details below, Please help regarding what needs to be done.

                      I tried booking an airline ticket on 7th Aug 2011 through Yatra.com but while doing so it gave some error and the ticket was unconfirmed with PNR no. as 0000. Inspite of the ticket being unconfirmed Yatra.com deducted the amount from my credit card.
                      When I contacted them for this through phone and also through their online complain registration forum they asked for my credit card statement in PDF format showing the amount has been deducted. Which I have provided them.
                      Inspite of providing them with all the necessary details and proofs that the Yatra.com has deducted the amount without providing a confirmed ticket they are not taking any steps to refund me the amount and not even responding to any mails or registering a complaint online from their side.

                          I had booked tickets online via Yatra. I got a confirmation email as well as my e-ticket. However when I went to the airport to board my plane, the airlines said there was no ticket. So I was forced to buy a one way ticket. When I called up Yatra, they admitted it was some technical fault on their side and they sent me another e-ticket for my return flight. They also sent me a mail saying they will refund me for the on-way ticket I had to pay for. This happened in January 2011 and I have yet to get my refund. I have mailed them and called them multiple times but have yet to get a response. Any help is much appreciated.

                            I have made booking of 2 rooms in Hotel Goradias,Shirdi thru yatra.com, agst ref no. [protected] and [protected] for 13th august.
                            Yatra has charged Rs6786 from my account and after charging and confirming room bookings,a lady called up(from no.[protected] and said that booking has not been confirmed because of non-availability and has left me with no option.
                            My points are:-
                            1)How can they confirm bookings earlier if rooms were not available
                            2)Without confirmation from hotel,how can they send a mail and sms stating that rooms have been confirmed
                            3)Why they have charged amount from my account if rooms were not there
                            They are harrassing the customers with their corruptive intentions

                              I booked a return flight from Bengaluru to New Delhi for 21st October 2011 and return 1st November 2011 on yatra.com. Indigo is the filght carrier. The price shown on the site was INR 7596(Combined). I made the online booking and made the payment. The ticket confirmation page showed that the ticket is unconfirmed and occasionally you will have to pay more if the prices of the ticket have increased. I checked the prices on the website, it showed the same price. I called the yatra.com customer care, they told me the same thing. But I told them that the price is still the same, then they said then you may not be charged and a person will call me in 30 mins. I received a call after some time, their representative told me that the Airlines have increased the prices and my round trip now costs INR 12000. He told me either I should pay the difference or they will refund the money which I will get back in 3 working days. He offered me a discount of 1000, but even at that time I was having options to book air tickets with some airlines much lower than 11000. I asked him for a refund as it was already a Friday and more delay would have blocked my money for more number of days. I just want to say this that when you buy a product or service the other party offers a price and if we agree and pay the price then no matter what the price should not be changed. Take an example of a jewellery shop, we go there and buy a gold product, imagine after half an hour the person calls you and says that the price of gold has increased and you have to pay more.
                              Please look into this matter as this is simply harassment of the consumer.

                                  BEWARE OF BOOKING THROUGH YATRA.COM

                                  I booked my tickets through Yatra online since my relatives told me that I will get a better deal through them. I had a bad experience starting with the booking as my credit card wouldnt get accepted through the Indian portal as I am coming from US. It got rejected couple of times and when I called the customer service and they asked me to book through the US website. Finally I was able to book my tickets through US website for $127.26.

                                  Now came the real problem. Our plans changed and I had to cancel my tickets. I called the support number and they repeatedly told me that my booking was not done. I had my iternary number and everything and also the confirmation but they kept on insiting that no booking has been made in my name. After many desperate attempts,I took it upon myself and called Kingfisher airlines and cancelled my tickets. They said they will refund the money back to Yatra and I need to collect it from them.

                                  The struggle continued. I kept calling the customer service but only in vain. They asked to write emails to [protected]@yatra.com and I wrote several of them with no response. Few times they told me that they would arrange a call back from US department but I received no calls. I really got tired now and left the pursuit for my money.

                                  Yatra should understand that they cant keep swindling their customers. One day justice will be brought to light and it is going to be really hard on them. I am not going to leave it at this. I am going to pursue this through my lawyer once I reach US.

                                  I am another customer who is facing the same issues with Yatra. I booked my ticket from Chennai to Bangalore for the 6th of July 2011 in the Kingfisher Red airlines.                                   Yatra.Com totally cheated me of Rs.30,000/-. I was negotiating a Kerala 7 Night 8 day package
                                  tour. They kept on advising me all the costs for changes of itinerary etc. etc. and requested me
                                  to pay Rs.30,000/- for confirmation which I did with credit card on the internet. Once I paid up,
                                  they just kept on saying that they are reverting with details. They did not revert with a single
                                  detail, upon my query they were absolutely silent. They took Rs.30,000/- & I was left high & dry,
                                  till the final final date of departure. The departure date was 26.10.12 and has gone & there has
                                  been no advise whatsoever till date from Yatra.Com.
                                  They are a bunch of cheats operating from Gurgaon & now started cheating others at Mumbai as
                                  they have recently opened an office at Link Road, opp Infiniti Mall Andheri(W), Mumbai-400053.
                                  I believe that this is their regular business of cheating and there are many like me who have
                                  suffered likewise.

However, the refund has not come to my account till date and my bank tells me that no such refund has been received by the Bank.
                                  Now, after 2 months+ Yatra.Com tells me that money will be refunded to you via NEFT. To this also 6 days have elapsed but no refund has been received till date.

                                    Certain special terms are never informed which are printed on the overleaf of Vouchers:

                                    One can use only one voucher of Rs.500.00 per booking of a return flight (which means actually 2 flights). Discount is applicable on basic fare only and not on the total fare. Normally Basic fares these days are in the range of 200/300 only.

                                    This means Yatra.com have systematically planned to fool people by telling them about great discounts – which in reality is complete eyewash.
                                    Dear sir,i have given Rs.7200 and got benifts of Rs.200,isn't it compete cheating?

                                    I feel this should be brought to the notice of people. I am sure that there must be A Law that “no customer can be forced to accept the terms just by informing him telephonically” – there must be written document with terms which should be signed by a consumer

                                    Yatra.com — Fare - not Refunded

                                    I have booked a train ticket through Yatra.com on 18/07/2009. The Ticket has not processed but the fare has been deducted from my acount. Still Ihave not received the payment and there is no information from yatra for the same.
                                    Still in my booking account, it is showing that the fare will be refunded to your account.

                                    Yatra.com — fare not refunded

                                    I have booked a train ticket through Yatra.com on 29/09/2009. Yatra refence no is AIM38C. The Ticket has not processed but the fare has been deducted from my acount. When i mailed to yatra.com they told me to file TDR, whereas while trying to file tdr it is telling for booked tickets only TDR can be filed.Still I have not received the payment
                                    Still in my booking account, it is showing that the fare will be refunded to your account.

                                      i have booked air tickets through yatra .com for three paseengers and then cancelled those tickets . they confirmed me about the charges that 750 per passenger will be deducted by Airline and 250 per passenger by yatra. means total 1000 per passenger and a total of 3000 will be deducted. but they deduct 3600 and refund the balance amount. my booking reference no. was 7025653

                                      I had booked a ticket from Banglore-Delhi on 15 feb 2008 from yatra .com for Jetlite S2-234 my yatra refrence number is 9LA6QG in the name of Shweta Singh. on the air port i was told that there is no ticket booking by Yatra on my name & Yatra people have not released the payment for the ticket booking to Jetlite.
                                      i had to book another ticket & i had to pay extra 2000/-for booking another flight as it was an urgent visit to Delhi.

                                      forget about the Mobile bill which i spent on contacting these people & how much running around has been done my be on the flying date.

                                      My money is still not refunded & i ve been left without any information.

                                        Yatra.com has one of the worst customer service of any online travel booking site. The problem started when i called on early 13th morning to cancel my Air ticket (Yatra booking ID: # [protected]) scheduled for 8:15 am on the 14th July , the agent informed me that i will be getting a refund of Rs. 3200 if i cancel the ticket. before i could confirm and ask her to proceed, the call got disconnected. When i tried to reach them back, i got the message that we are facing technical diffuculties , call after some time.

                                        I tried their number every half an hour, but was unable to reach them by 11:15 am. So i decided to drop them a mail at [protected]@yatra.com which is supposed to be their priority cancellation address. I recieved a mail from yatra after two days, that you have had a no show for the flight and a refund of Rs. 300 will be issued to you.

                                        I have written to them about this issue, but they have not even bothered to respond to my email. I had been a loyal yatra.com customer, and have booked more than 20 tickets with them before. This is the first time however that i needed to contact their customer service. If you plan to book your ticket, beware of Yatra.com service. These people are thieves.

As the mode of payment used for booking is Credit Card so the bank will take approxtimately 4-5 working days in order to credit the amount in your card.
