Hi, I have been a satisfied and happy Airtel consumer for the past 7 years however; I have been aggrieved by Airtel’s POOR Customer Service for a new connection. I am based out of Mumbai. I was to go on a vacation to Manali from 12 Jan 2014 to 17 Jan 2014. Due to professional requirements for the organization I work, I applied for Airtel Data USB Connection on 09 Jan 2014 through my company’s Airtel Corporate relationship. The application process was facilitated at my work place. Immediately on handing over the application and an amount of Rs.1250/- (Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Only), I was handed over a USB Dongle and Airtel SIM no[protected]-82383-HLR-1. I was anticipating that the connection will be activated in a day or two. However, I had to write a mail on 11 Jan 2014 asking the status. Happy and not anticipating any problems in the waiting, I proceeded for my vacations on 12 Jan 2014 anticipating that the necessary details will follow. On 14 Jan 2014 I was given the Airtel Data Card number [protected] and was told to activate my card by calling their verification department. I followed as instructed but somehow the instrument did not detect network. Post various tele and mail communications, since there was no resolution till 17 Jan 2014 finally I wrote to nodalofficer.[protected]@in.airtel.com informing the issue and asking a compensation of Rupees Five Lacks for the deficiency of service, mental stress and harassment and loss of face that I faced in front of the company I worked with due to non-commencement of Airtel’s data services. The revert received the same day said that Airtel is working to resolve the issue. Ever since I have initiated the correspondence since 11 Jan 2014, there have been various email and telephonic communication. One of the funny replies received from Airtel on 22 Jan 2014 is extracted and mentioned below:- _____________________ please be informed that, we have checked and established that services are well connected from our part. Moreover, we would like to inform you that the connectivity related issue could be at one particular location, however, not at every place. Hence, we would request you to get the SIM card swapped from nearest ARC (airtel Relationship Center), in order to resolve the data connectivity issue. _____________________ ** the above is only an extract and not the complete mail. I have replied to the above mail stating that I have tried accessing the data connection from 1. Manali 2. Chandigarh 3. Delhi & Finally 4. Mumbai Today, 25 Jan 2014 after 17 days or 2.5 weeks, my connection is still not working and I have received a bill for the said connection without even using the services. I have been having an existing relationship with Airtel since long and while applying, I had mentioned my existing relationship number but they registered with a new relationship number. They have recorded my name differently than what I have applied with. My final grievances:- 1. Connection applied on 09 Jan 2014 not activated / services not usable due to some technical reasons from Airtel; the service provider resulting in Deficiency of Services. 2. Bill raised despite the connection not working and the consumer not getting the promised service. 3. Airtel executives, despite giving necessary details in the application by the applicant have recorded wrong name and have also issued a new relationship number despite providing the necessary details. I have a copy of the application filled by me. I am absolutely harassed and have lost my patience with the issue. I would want airtel to provide me a compensation of Rupees Five Lacs for the deficiency of service, mental stress and harassment and loss of face that I faced in front of the company I worked with due to non-commencement of airtel’s data services. Also, Airtel must commence the services applied for. Need help to fight unfortunate battle with Airtel.

    Hi, I have serious of issues with the AIRTEL 4G, my LTE # [protected]. I had internet outrage on 18th Dec 2013, so registered a complaint with AIRTEL Customer support [Reference # 54274531] and committed that they would resolve this issue in 72 hrs and the technical person had visited my place and said that there is a issue with the bank end team and they would resolve and confirm me. But after some time, they had simply closed my complaint saying that they were not able to reach, then from that day i had to keep on call AIRTEL for this issue and every time they reply that my previous complain has been resolved, and they take a new complaint. I wanted to highlight here that my complaint has never been resolved yet, but they simply close the complaint if its crosses 7 days, bcoz they do not want to slip on their SLA, s without resolution what's the point in having SLA. Now its almost 36 days, no proper internet connection, there were several complaint resolved and opened, but no resolution yet. I had escalated to the nodal officer as well, no response. Now today i had called up the customer service asking for the latest complaint status and they were keep on saying that i would be resolved in 48 hrs or 72 hrs, this is the only answer that they have. But they never worked on for a resolution. I am really pissed off with the way biggest brand AIRTEL handles their customer this way and the customer executive itself requesting me to look for a alternate service provider :) LOL. Thank god that i have recorded all those conversation recorded in my phone. Following are the achievement of AIRTEL service and customer support:- 1) 36 days complaint still very much active without any resolution. 2) They are very prompt in closing the complaint in 7 days even if it does not have a resolution, as they do no want to slip on their SLA's. - Clever~ 3) Always gives an answer that the complaint would be closed in 48 hrs or 72 hrs. 4) Bill their customers for the period where their is no internet connectivity at all, and we had to raise one more complaint begging for the wave off. 5) Now today customer care executive themselves asking their customers to look for a better service provider over the call. With the brand name AIRTEL is cheating their customers in a big way and eating our moneys, wake up friends. Thanks, Uday

    Dear Saurat,

    I appreciate and agree that you are the first person to respond me on-time from the so called brand "AIRTEL". I would make a point here that i am facing this internet issue from 18-DEC-2013 and for the same I had registered a complaint on 19-DEC-2013. But so far no resolution has been provided and customer care executives asking me to look for a better service provider, indeed they are giving all false and conflicting answers saying that it's a Network issue, Device issue etc.

    In addition to this, they have charged me Rs 1895 for the period where there is no internet connection on my side.

    I am from a corporate company and our account manager suggested to go for AIRTEL, hence i opted for one and in total our team has more than 100 LTE's for our personal use.

    I would like to highlight how i have been treated by the AIRTEL service and it's customer support. Now I am planning for a a strong escalation from my side about the phase am going though with AIRTEL 4G to our account manager and to the infrastructure team. So that no one from our corporate team does not go through this kind of poor service and harassment from the customer support and service.

    I wanted to circulate this message to our friends and colleagues in our corporate company. So that the real face of AIRTEL comes into light. I do not want even my enemy to suffer with this AIRTEL 4G service and their customer support harassment. A big mental agony.!

    LOL, am really feeling pity on you, that you copy paste the same message across the consumer complaint and just change the date. Totally disappointed with the way AIRTEL service and it's customer support working.

    19-DEC-2013 was the complaint registered date and you still more time to resolve this issue, are we building any satellite or what? You wanted 40 days for fixing an internet connection, Pathetic man and you just update the same copy paste message everywhere.

    Friends and Folks, please do not ever think of going for AIRTEL brand in your life, they are the big cheaters in terms of service, cheating, customer care harassment.

    Dear Sandeep Kumar,

    The first and biggest mistake that i have ever done in my life time is going for an AIRTEL connection.

    I had internet outrage on 19-DEC-2013, raised a complaint on 20-DEC-2013, complaint # 54274531 and i have been hearing only one answer from AIRTEL customer service is that they are still working on priority basis and my issue would be fixed in 48 hrs/72 hrs etc.

    But the result is same, my internet connection is still not working, escalated to NODAL officer - no response, escalated to APPELLATE, they say that they are working on it and I had to call them every day get the latest on it and final word from them is that they would need more time to fix this issue.

    I still wonder is it a rocket science to fix an internet connection? We have already celebrated New Year 2014!

    Drafting one last e-mail, if I get no response or action on this, I am feel free to say Good Bye and quit from your service!

I want to do a compliant that Airtel has not activated GPRS [protected]@Rs.50 upto 150MB after that 20kbs @unlimited on my airtel no-[protected] as it is offered to me by SMS from AD- AD-650003 to activate GPRS [protected]@Rs.50 upto 150MB after that 20kbs @unlimited on my airtel no-[protected] on 20th Jan 2013. I have tired to activate the GPRS [protected]@Rs.50 upto 150MB after that 20kbs @unlimited by sms ABC3G to 51619 but i am getting inviaild keyword. I have done many emails on [protected]@in.airtel.com and [protected]@in.airtel.com, nodal officer and Appellate Authority to activiate this GPRS [protected]@Rs.50 upto 150MB after that 20kbs @unlimited.         I have recharged my 3G data plan from airtel official website by Rs 995 for 5GB on 25th of dec 2013..I have also received massage regarding the recharge, transaction id for recharge was [protected]. But to my utter surprise it was never recharged, I came to know this when my balance became zero for using net as the charges were being deducted from my main balance. I complained about it on customer care twice . every time they gave me a complaint number but never resolved the issue saying that there was a communication failure with me and there is no such kind of plan but it was on their official website although in past i had recharged the same plan on my mobile. the complain no is CONRC[protected] ON 6TH JAN 2014.         sir in response to my complain against Airtel, , the Airtel Presence (Airtel Customer Service Team) has contacted me and asked me about the trasaction details of the deta recharge that i have done from their official website.I have forwarded them mail that I have received in confirmation of the said rechage.Although these details has already been furnished in my earlier complain.Sir despite of their assurance to resolve the issue no action has been taken yet.Sir i request you to communicate my grievances to the concerned people and take proper action against them.

          I have the above-mentioned postpaid Internet connection on my iPad2, but at my residence, for which place I got registration of the 3G plan, the Internet speed is so slow that I am unable to browse most of the time. I have been complaining to Airtel Customercare for he last several months and subsequently their team visited our premises and assured me to rectify the problem, but nothing has been done so far by Airtel. Again I submitted several complaints to Airtel Customercare from 11 January 2014, submitting them the results of Internet speed measurements regularly, but again they replied that their team is working on it and will resolve the problem soon. They also telephoned me after receiving my complaints. The last response I received from Airtel Customercare was on 19 January 2014. But now they have even stopped replying me. Due to this, I am passing through very difficult times and my work is suffering a lot - both mentally as well as financially, because I am unable to do some important work on the Internet from my home. I therefore request you to take up the matter with the higher officials of Airtel to rectify the Internet speed problem. Dr. Zahid Husain Khan

          For three weeks, from 21 Dec 2013 to 11 Jan 2014, I was out of Delhi, in Guwahati, Assam. In Guwahati the Internet speed was good. However, fter returning to Delhi I am again facing the same extremely poor Internet speed problem that I had been regularly complaining to Airtel in the past few months. But in spite of repeated assurances the company has failed to take any measures to rectify the problem.

          I am sending herewith the latest speed test results of 12 Jan 2014 and giving the last chance the Airtel to solve the problem, failing which I will have no option but to take necessary action against the company.

          Dear Sir,

          I have informed through email on 29 January 2014 to Airtel Presence that my above mentioned 3G mobile sim is installed in my ipad2 and hence you are unable to talk to me on that number. In the same mail I have also given you my alternate mobile number [protected] and am awaiting for your call, if so needed.

          Now 20 days have passed since the complaint was launched, but there has been no action from Airtel to resolve the speed problem.

          Twenty days are over since the first complained was made to Airtel Customercare on 12 January 2014. No action has yet been taken by Airtel to solve the 3G speed problem. No one called me even after I provided my alternate contact number.

          Here is the latest 3G speed measurement result of last night and earlier days. HORRIBLE SPEED!
          The first complaint regarding very slow Airtel 3G Internet speed was made on 12 January 2014. One full month is now over, but no action has been taken by Airtel. It is impossible to work on my iiPad in the evenings and nights when I am at home and need it badly. Initially there were telephonic assurances given by Airtel customers service, but now they have stopped communicating completely.

          Now that the AAP has taken over the reigns of Delhi, there is a slight hope that the Government can do something by getting the Airtel services audited.

          Here is the latest speed test measurement result. The 3G speed is found to be a few Kbps. Still the company is not ashamed of cheating its customers.

            hi, i am k kirankumar, recently i have taken postpaid mobile sim, from i purple chennai.when i call to 59059 to activate the sim, i am facing the issue like door no missmatch.i have given bank statements and id proofs with correct address as 2/410, ambedkar nagar first main road, manapakkam, chennai even physical verfication also done in the same.again i called to 59059 they told that our backend team will check that and give me time of 4 hrs, but they not rectified.six times i called to 59059 from last 3 days, they will not rectify this issue.Mr Arasu and Dhanush are leading the calls from 59059 .then i finally desided to go for consumer forum and TRAI.i have all mobile recordings what i spoke to 59059 call center team from airtel. i requesting you to please take action on 59059 call center team and who feed address into db WithRegards, K.KiranKumar [protected], [protected].

              Sir, I am a current customer of Airtel DTH.They are charging more as compare to others DTH.There are two types of plans south India plan(cheaper than rest of India plan) & rest of India plan.but in rest of India plan there are lots of others regional channels active including south indian channels that is not required if once consumer has already opted rest of india plan..after that they are demanding more money for HBO Hits & HBO Defined why?My DTH id is [protected].please take some action.I am paying 350 per.month for DTH.

                Hi, i had applied for MNP of my existing number from BSNL to Airtel on the 3rd Jan (UPC - BX562336 | Application No. 59059). I got an SMS on the application being processed on the 9th Jan and verification also being done. I tried to contact the customer care - no updates. I tried to contact the executive who comes to my office - he is least bothered, however after multiple follow-ups he tells me that the verification is pending and BSNL is yet to issue an NOC. He told that he would re-initiate the verification process but no call / update so far. All i need to know - IS THERE ANY ONE WHO CAN HELP ME ON WHAT IS THE NEXT STEPS OR WILL THE PORTING EVER HAPPEN OR DO I NEED TO SUBMIT A FRESH APPLICATION???? Regards, Attula Moahan

                  Hi, I Am getting numerous calls from an airtel DSA, nos.[protected], [protected], [protected]. Even though my number is registered to DO Not Call registry, theses guys first called me 4 times since morning and after that they are calling me every minute.They are laughing at me & abusing at me, U can clearly see that they have called 5 times & 3 times in a row from the same number. I have received 6 calls from the same number which is showing as a missed call as i didnt answered it.I asked to lodge a complaint to airtel but the rep is saying u must have asked them to call. as these guys were initially trying to sell me a similar number from quite past fifteen days.                     Hi, As per yesterday's communication had with Airtel regarding my billing issue on No. [protected] which was not satisfactory and instead of the solving my problem he straight away suggested me to cancel my connection and move to some other, IS THIS CALLED A CUSTOMER CARE.!!!? As per my billing plan i have a 100mb of free data which i have not exceeded, i have a proof o[censored]sing 79mb received an SMS from 121 by 20th early morning which is end day of my billing cycle but your Applet executive proving that your 121 data usage generating tool is wrong and his calculation is correct, if this is the case and problem/loop hole in your technology, why should the customer suffer!!! As that sms is the only way i can track my data usage. I have received my bill 3 times more then my usage. Its very pathetic way of dealing with customer and solving the issue. I request the responsible personals to look into this matter and solve my issue ASAP with proper waver and justified bill. This same i will be wring to consumer forum as well.                     Your response is really surprising as i have given you a proof of my usage which was generated by your system thru SMS 121, but your denying to accept, this is very irresponsible response from the Nodal Manager. Please find the screen shot proof of sms for the same.

                    I request the concerned authority to take some serious action on this issue & stop cheating towards customers.

                      Hi, My name is suresh and i have opted for Airtel broad band connection in the month of august 2013. They told that we will provide you the internet connection and took Rs.600. Rs. 500 as deposit and Rs.100 for background verification. But later they told that they will not be able to provide me the internet connection as there is no port availability. Hence i requested for refund. They told that they will refund my money within 22 working days. I waited almost 30 days and i did not get refund. Hence i called them for the status, they told that we could not reach you and the house was locked. 2. I raised the complaint 2nd time and they told once again that i have to wait for 22 days. Once again i waited for 22 days and 23rd day when i called them they told that address is wrong. 3. 3rd time i raised the complaint once again and requested them to refund my money. They assured me and told that we will refund the money within 22 days. I was convened and thought to wait for another 22 days. But once again the same issue i did not get refund. 4. 4th time when i called them they told that i cannot find any complaint on the phone that i gave them nor on the registration form that they gave me. So i spoke to the supervisor regards to the same and he told that the phone was wrongly updated and he apologized and told that please give us 22 days once again and this time we will ensure that you will get refund. So i told him that this would be the last chance. He said that we will fix the issue. I gave the mobile no+alternate phone no. And even i told the supervisor to take request on the alternate phone no that i gave him. He agreed to that. And i confirmed with him if i give the phone number will you be able to pull up the complaint information. He told that we can retrieve the details using the phone number. Waited another 22 day i did not get refund. When i called them once again they told that they cannot pull the complaint details as the server is busy. I told that i cannot keep on calling you guys so please arrange call back from the manager or the supervisor. They took request and told that the supervisor will call within 2 hours and i did not get any call from them. So i called them back and they told that we are not able to pull the complaint from the phone number nor the register form no. I told them i want to speak to supervisor, they put me on hold for 30 minutes and then the call was disconnected. I got frustrated and never wanted to call them back. I had airtel postpaid connection and even i have cancelled that. I called them back now in January 2014 and once again they have taken request and they have informed me that it will take another 12 days. So let me wait this time if i am not getting the refund i have to take the necessary steps.

                        I am having an issue with outgoing and incoming from past 2 weeks and i have contected Airtel CC many times. I have send emails many times and no one has contact me for resolving issue. the worst service from airtel. this is the reason airtel losing customers and this is the time to shift from airtel. I have reached 3 levels of support and still now i did not got resolution. my alt contact no is [protected] which is airtel and noe i have to shift to other provider.                         the worst service i have faced from airtel. they are lest bother to resolve you issue. I have called amny time and send many emails but they dont respond properly.

                          Sir/Madam, My mother is an airtel user. In fact everybody in my family uses airtel. Its sickening to know that the hoax calls/ unwanted calls cant be tracked as to from where the call is from, whats the idea behind calling, who is calling at your end. Today morning, My mother got a call from this no [protected]. The gentleman said in hindi, he is callling from Delhi, she has won prize worth of lumpsum amount... some 50 lacs and all. My mother could not figure out, she replied no we dont want. That person has talked much things in hindi, god knows! and at last he said "kya nahi nahi bolte ho... " "I Love You". If this problem is very regular amongst airtel users, then why there are no steps taken to track or block such numbers from calling us and disturbing? Isnt there any inbuilt software or some application to be included in the SIM cards, to automatically block such nos? I am totally fedup with this. I request the airtel authorities to block the number as soon as possible so that she can continue with the service. number is - [protected]. Kindly do the needful, at the earliest.

                          I also got the call from the same number ie[protected]

                          I believe the above complaint was registered on january 24th and today is 8th march.

                          A company like airtel has not been able to do anything about this number.

                          I have changed my service from airtel to vodafone but i believe that airtel still own this number.

                            sorry to say its frustrating and pathetic response from airtel because i recharged with rupee 18 on 22 jan 2014 (it is a data recharge of 2G 75 MB for 3 day)but it was not done till today .i remembered that days when i have survived with airtel best services.please solve this issue otherwise i con not survive with airtel sorry to say and also blocked my customer care connectivity.

They have conveyed me that money was recd by them subsequent I complained to Bank . Bank has conveyed that Aitel money recd in mybwallet of [protected] as agreed by airtel money . i had sent Bank statement to airtel money and accepted by them . AiRtel money has agreed to refund money I had given all relevent document .But unfortunately they are changing thei stand every time and refundunding my money

                                In the month of October I paid my mobile bill RS:1400/- to airtel via credit card and intially I got a message saying your bank gateway declined for payment. So I paid again RS:1400/- again and later inquired the Bank person to know why the gateway declined the payment. Bank person verified and informed me saying that no payment was declined against my credit card and airtel revived both total RS:2800/- on Oct 6th and 7th as part of my payment. So soon I called airtel and asked them to initiate the refund.They said I will get money with in 45days but till today I haven't received any refund from them. I went to airtel outlets in Marathahalli and Banerghatta to inquire about this but the customer care executive response in Bannerghatta office is very rude and I never expected such kind of response from a reputed company executive. When we pay our bills one day late they will charge us fine but today they didn't refunded my money from last 3 months but we should not ask them the questions or ask them to pay fine for our amount. And now the refund will be happen via cheque not via gateway how you paid it, each and every e-commerce site will refund the amount to the same gateway how we paid it but this bloody airtel money suckers won't. If we ask why they will say it is our policy if you wish you can continue otherwise you can port to other service (This statement was given by customer executive in Bannerghatta Branch, Bangalore on 18th Jan 2014: Counter No 9). And that executive gave me a DOP number and asked me to inquire and collect cheque from any of the SpeedNet Courier office. I went to and showed the number to them but they said it is not a valid number and we can't find any details with that DOP. If I write about billing, it will come another page. Airtel will charge the customers like anything. When they say the plan they will show you less amount but when you see the bill for sure you need to put hand on your chest.                                   Hi Ma'am/Sir, 7 months back I have taken a postpaid airtel connection. I have used it till the month of October, 2013. However I have cleared the bill before applying for cancellation. They have registered my complaint on Nov 9 th, 2013. I got the bill on Nov 6th for october month. After paying the bill I have registered for cancellation. Meanwhile I stopped using the SIM from November 5th as the new bill cycle starts from that day. The request number registered was 53680913. On registering the request they called me and requested me to change it to prepaid. However i said I dont have any use with the number, as I have taken that number for internet purpose and now i have wi fi internet in my room. So I have asked them to cancel immediately. But they didn't do that, they kept the ticket on hold stating that customer wants a pre paid connection. Finally I went to the airtel stores and returned back their sim and the status was set to suspended state. But now they are calling and are forcing me to pay the bill, else a legal notice will be sent to me. I have received a call from the number[protected], a lady has spoken to me, and she was very rude. She don't have a minimum respect towards the customers. I request you to take this as a serious issue.                                     My Customer ID: [protected], Registered mob no: [protected] Complaint Ref Nos: 35505170, 35535658, 35550987, 35602249, 35618272, 35641062, 35648898, 35660222, 35722587, 35732413 Dear Sir, I complained for audio problem in set-top box on[protected].45. It has been more than two weeks till now[protected] and my problem is still not solved. It is very simple that, set-top box to be replaced from airtel end and so far no response from service engineer. I need to mention that the behaviour of service engineer is very bad as he is only service engineer available at my place. You can look at above complaint ref nos. for further validation where the mistake is from. Very poor service from airtel and no action taken against on the service engineer for not doing his work. He also taken my set-top box remote and not returned back. All above complaint ref nos were closed by service engineer stating no body at my home, problem with my TV, dish etc. But actual case is only problem with set-top box. Set-top box was working fine (only audio not coming) before service engineer taking it from my home and when he return back on[protected], it is even not switching on. Really fed up with the service and thats why i am here to complaint against airtel dth. Need some solution being a valuable customer of airtel. please do the needful. Regards Chezhiyan

It was told by the Area Manager that my problem will be solved on 24th Jan 2014 (7 - 8 PM) during my conference call coversation along with Mr.Amit. But no response from anyone. This is indeed a real problem from airtel for not taking any action on thier people (Service Engineer & Area Manager).

                                    Need some justice Please.

                                        I took Airtel Dogle bearing mobile number [protected] in 2012. Given the situation at my work place, I don't need a broad band anymore. So I wanted to convert my existing Airtel SIM from Post paid to pre-paid so I would be able to use it on demand. I have visited your Airtel service centre in Madhapur Hyderabad for converting my Post paid connection to Pre-paid numerous times in the months of August and September 2013. But I have always got only one answer that your centralized server is down for converting Post paid to pre-paid, so I have to visit the store later for my request to complete. I have requested them to take the required documentation and convert it once the server is up, for which they said that is not possible and I had to visit the store at later point of time. Having tried many times, I was vexed up and finally called the customer care to disconnect my services. Surprisingly I have got the same answer that Server is down so they can't take my request and I have to call them at later point of time. How come a very good branded service provider like Airtel can keep a servers down for months ? Regret to say but It takes a single day to get connected but there any time limit for change in service or disconnection ? I don't have a Airtel SIM, and the Dongle number is without voice/SMS. so I have to request others who have Airtel service to call the customer care. I tiered of all these and stopped using the datacard. Now they are sending me bill every months. Later I have got a call from customer care to pay the unpaid amount, I told them whole story. They said they will get back to me. After few days I have a got a call from customer care saying if I cleared the un-paid amount my number will be converted to Pre-paid. I said I don't need Pre-paid connection now and asked him if your Airtel servers are down why are you asking me to pay for that. More over I have stopped using it. He said he will call me back after some time and never called me. I am getting mails like if I dont clear the amount a legal action will be taken. How come you come expect a customer to pay if you keep your server down for months and charge them? You can check my data usage I have stopped using it months back but you are still charging me.
