I'm using zoomcar service from almost 3 years and took several rides. This time i had very bad experience, as i booked car

Ford figo with booking id jps6t4vij on 6th october, 2017 4:00. Car which was allocated was zap car and i have to pick car

From some apartment. As per instruction i found car located at same place. As per zoomcar instruction i filled up checklist,

While filling up checklist i have mentioned there is damage in front as well rear bonnet, and driver side glass has damage.

After that i took ride and dropped back at 6th, october 20174 15:35. I'm aware that zoomcar takes sometime to calculate

Outstanding amount as well refund so i was waiting for that. 6th october, 2017 23:07 i received text message as well email

For your booking id jps6t4vij, no charges are outstanding nor any refund due. Next day 7th, october 2017 i got call from

Zoomcar saying that you have outstanding amount of rs. 7000 against damage charges of previous booking. That lady was so rude

When i said i need proof for damage, for moment she got quite and than she said do you have any proof for not making damage

And conversion end up with several warnings from zoomcar (Like legal action are waiting and etc...). Later words i raised

Complaint through their customer care. During last 72 hours they called me several times by saying we need some more time to

Investigate. I was ok with that finally 10th october, 2017 i got call from zoomcar by saying charges are valid and there is

Damage and you need to bare this charges.

Points from my side:
1. If damage was there, why i have received message which says there is no any outstanding. Which is attached.

2. I requested for the images with time stamp for damage. Still nothing has been given from there side.

3. Damage is reported after 24 hours of dropping time.

4. No any investigation proof provided from zoomcar side. The reason given is before you whoever customer used car he agreed

There was no damage. After you who ever customer used says there is damage. This is not valid reason to pay 7000 inr.

5. It was apartment so i think parking should have cctv, which might clear the things.

6. Where i parked car there construction work was going on, kids were playing in parking that also can be reason for damage

(After i dropped).

7. During pick up my checklist has mentioned that there was damage in front as well rear bonnet.

8. Final point is after every process and calculation got over after 18 hour they saw damage. While calculating km and

    Dl 1n 8719, maroon colour 4 wheeler jeep.. The driver was driving very harshly it was just about to hit me when soon i realised and turned to the side. This incident occurred around 7:45 pm, 13th of october 2017 inside iiser mohali campus on the way to hostel.
    I may have gone with this case to the police, but i thought it's better that the matter settles between you and your client.
    I hope you will be considering this matter seriously as i have eye witness for the issue.

      Booked zoomcar (Booking id: jps6tv665) on 13 sep '17, paid rs.1520 online and received confirmation email from zoomcar. On reaching the pick-up site the executive there told me that he cannot provide the vehicle as the license is pending for approval on the app. On calling customer care, they said they have to reject the license for some reason and cancel the booking and promised full refund. Haven't received the refund and not even a confirmation mail for refund till date.

      Its been a 2 month, I didn't get my refund back. Earlier I posted this complaint on http://consumerhelpline.gov.in/ where its still showing under processing. I didn't get any response after that, please look into this.

      We understand your concern here, however, the license was declined as it is already approved under the email ID [protected]@yahoo.com. As a one time exception, we have canceled the booking with a full refund. The refunds are initiated to the account which you used to pay at the time of the booking and this will take 5­-15 days to reflect in your account.

        I cancelled my booking and it has been 20 days now but i did not get my refund. Zoomcar initiated the refund on 27 september ‘17 and even there application shows that refund has been completed.

        I tried contacting them and they just gave me the payu transaction id and asked me to follow up which is useless. There is no way to contact and talk to a zoomcar care executive. They just have an automatic reply that refund is conplete. This is just disgusting. This was the first time i had such an experience with any website.

        I recommend all of you to please beware while making any payments at zoomcar.com

          Hello zoomcar,

          Thanks for the troublesome experience that you have given to us.
          We have booked zoom car for our kerala trip from 7th oct (10 am) to 10th oct (6 pm) which is around rs 8600 for 80 hours and 800 km (Booking id : jps6tv2tq)
          The car given to us has diesel leakage problem which we noticed it on 9th at 12 pm after we reached our resort in munnar.
          It took close to 18 customer support calls and 10 hours for them to tow the vehicle which eventually means we have not enjoyed one complete day of our resort stay which is rs 8000 for single day. Basically half of our trip went in talking to zoomcar customer care loosing the mental peace.
          Cs guys will call every 10 minutes and ask what is the problem? I dont even understand how poorly they maintain the record of earlier calls. After so much of fuss and towing the vehicle, another customer support guy calls and asks us the status of returning the vehicle on 10th oct as it is nearing the end of the trip.

          After towing the vehicle they have added rs 10000 to our trip telling it as vehicle damage fee as per the so called zoomcar policy.

          However the vehicle is towed and it took 3 days for them to get the service report which told that there is no problem for our end, it is eventually the mistake of zoom car for handing over the vehicle which has a diesel leakage problem which would have been catastrophic.

          We have not gone out of our munnar resort because of this and we have to take the next days flight back to hyderabad so we booked a cab and came.
          Now coming to again so called refund policy, they told they will reimbursement the cab bill which is rs 2800 which is same as the unused hours amount.
          Hence, there is no loss to zoom car because they are refunding unused hours. They are not at all penalizing themselves for handing over the wrong vehicle to customer.
          We are asking refund for unused hours as well as return cab bill which is close to rs 5000

          The loss from my end is
          1) compromised in roaming in munnar as we didnt had vehicle
          2) one complete day in answering customer care calls.
          3) lost mental peace in the most awaited trip

          Finally i never want to encourage anybody in taking zoom car as they are not maintaining vehicles in good condition and having a very poor customer support.

            I have put the petrol for ford figo, for booking i'd jps6tflei. For rupees 700. I got the customer copy bill. And submitted the same.

            Still i didn't get the refund, stating that it is not the bill. I didn't put the petrol for my own car. You can call the car owner and check whether it is, filled with diesel or not.
            I was given with low fuel only. I switched off the a. C. For half an hour, until i get a petrol station.

            Value the customer and please reimburse the bill of 700

              Hello all,

              As it says, zoom is not for the cars, it refers to the speed with which they prey on their customers. Something similar happened with me when i got a ford figo with my booking id is jps6t4xca

              I picked up my car at 9 pm which was running fine, though it was only around 10 km after which i went to have a tea at a road side shop. And the car had weird noises from the engine while starting.
              In a matter of 2-3 minutes, the breaks got jammed and i called the zoom car support.
              I spoke to azam, from their support. I explained him the issue, and he got the car towed. Thanks to azam who offered me to get a cab and he assured to get it reimbursed. I took an ola to my home, after handling the keys to the nearest zoom car facility at the royal meenakshi mall

              Despite of the car having gps and was locked, parked safely, i had been getting calls till 2 am to explain the issue and tell the location of their car.
              Next morning i wake up and have a fine of rs. 10, 000 reflecting on my account.
              Also, i got a call saying that i damaged the car.
              How can that be possible when i didn't even go beyond a speed of 50 km/h. And there are no dents. Not to forget, i had been driving since past 7 years and by god's grace never met with an accident or gave a hurt to the car i'm driving.

              Now, i have an open question to all, "what should be the penalty of paying for the car, and getting a defected one, standing in the middle of the road even if you're driving safely with all measures and most importantly the calls for a fine!!! With a threat, if you don’t pay, legal actions are waiting for you at your doorstep.

                zoomcar declined license and deducted 50% money against booking id jps6t4b6r

                I had booked zoomcar today and the total amount for the booking was 5625/-, which was to be paid upfront. After payment, i received message that my profile verification is pending for which i uploaded my driving licence. Zoomcar declined the license copy stating that my face is not clear in the image. My license is old and i have it in that condition only so i cannot provide better copy. As zoomcar did not accept it, it led into cancellation...

                On 18th sept we had rented zoom car (Swift). I had paid deposit of 5000 inr. Due to some issues, i was about 50 mins late for submitting the vehicle. So, i was asked to pay 395 inr for the late charges as cash! I paid that amount to the guy who collected the vehicle. He told me that you will receive the payment confirmation on your mail. So, i didn't ask for receipt. Now, i see that you have deducted the amount from my deposit as well. This is pathetic!

                Very bad! I've not lost only money! I've also lost the trust on such a good company!

                  Hi,

                  Today i made a booking with zoomcar where i am supposed to take the vehicle from a residence area, which is 11 kms away from my residence. I went there by 2 o clock and tried unlocking the vehicle using the app. Then i got a error message saying that i am having an outstanding amount, which i should pay to get this car. I was bit shocked and made a call to customer care. They told i have a outstanding payment for booking made on 14 may 2015. Regrading this booking, it was a cancelled booking during that time zoomcar was not having cancellation charges. I don't know then how this outstanding amount is accumulated. The second question raised is cancellation amount is never can be greater than booking amount, so they how a outstanding amount. These are the fraud charges and zoomcar is cheating the customers like this. I am not allowed to take my scheduled car, which again lost me my hard earned money and customer support told i cant cancel the booking or no refund is giving for the same. We cant able to believe zoomcar anymore, there is no assure where you will get our schedule vehicle. Think of peoples who are urgently booked. Please no one do that may ended up in disappointment.

                  After 14 may 2015, i had made more than 10 bookings with zoomcar, never faced any issues. Its so ridiculous and fishy being after almost 3 years why they are asking for a outstanding amount. Zoomcar is not cared even to call or cancel my booking or help me to get the car. Zoomcar is giving least value to our money and time.

                  I am filing a complaint with consumerhelpline of india government and further moving to consumer court.

                  Pathetic and horrible disagreeable service from zoomcar. Zoomcar is just looting the customers and suggest not to use zoomcar instead use drivezy or others

                  We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. We did check the above issue and see that the refund for the booking - JPS6E6UW0, is processed thrice in the form of driving credits (total amount - 456). Hence, we have rectified the error and deducted Rs. 152 as a cancellation fee. Kindly note, you will be charged Rs. 200 if the booking is canceled more than 24 hours before the booking start time. As the booking amount was Rs. 152, you are charged accordingly. We see that you have used the credits in your later bookings, hence Rs. 304 is shown as outstanding. Kindly clear the outstanding amount so that you can use the service.

                  Why are processed thrice a refund? Did I ask to do so?
                  If you did so its your mistake. Not mine. It happened 2 years back and now you can tell anything. After that I made more than 10 Bookings, why didn't you ask for outstanding amount that time. After 2 years are you come up with this? If its added to credits, take it from credits only.
                  Now I lost money for the booking I made on 4th Oct and you are answerable for that. Neither you are ready to refund me nor provide me with vehicle.

                  For kind information, I am not going to pay even a single penny. ZoomCar is not only one car rental playing in Bangalore. I am ready to even go to consumer court, I should know the reason why I denied Vehicle after taking my money.

                    I have booked the vechical on 3rd oct and return on same date with in deal time with no excess km usage plus i refill tank for 1000 rs and i uploaded the supported document for refund. But after insted of refunding the 1000 rs from zoom end i got a notification in zoom app that outstanding amount of 4200 rs after that i called your customer care to check the reson for that and response from zoom was shocking to me as zoom response was the outstading amount against "document lost" that is totally incorrect as i finished my trip i have handed car in front of their parner only and their partner checked the car for any damages and their partner only parked the car by checking inside the car for any damages and importantly he checked the dash board box for documents after everything is completed checked by their partner and finally their partner inform us at end after checking the car to lock the car by using app, then only i have locked the car. So its clear from my end i have not lost or damage any documents, so i registering complaint in this forum for justice to remove the incorrect outstanding amount and refund my 1000 rs for fuel which i have paid additionally. Looking forward for support to get justice.

                    Yestarday i got called from zoom executive and Still zoom telling another 24-48 hours require to solve this issue, i dont know why this much time require to solve already 2 days over from my booking complition date. And one side their telling they will solve this issue with in 24-48 hours but in another side i getting the message from zoom to pay oustading amont . And in uploaded mail image they showing 6100 booking charges i dont understand their calculation ... Really having bad first time experience with zoom.

                      I have booked zoom car on 02, oct, 17 with my registered id [protected] booking id jps6t48wa scorpio my pickup time was 4 pm when i taken car some damage scratch were there but fleet was in hurry he said take the car and go then in papers the road tax was expired on 30 sep i have the xerox also i told to fleet he told that its not my issue u go nothing will hapeen i gone and police caught me i given rs700 fine for that, when returned the car in evening i told the isse to fleet he said that money will get refunded, but when i reached home i chkd the app there the zoom car has charged fine against me only 2000 i was shocked when i called they said u hv done damage and so we cant return the security 2000, i am a poor students they cheated me, if in india justice is there please give my money back sir. Now i am calling theyare disconnecting my callthey dontehave full documents still cheating us

                      They have charged me a fraudulent damage fee of rs 2000 without showing any proof that the damage occurred during my trip.

                      The fleet checked us out during drop off and certified that there was no damage to the car. He assured us that we would get the complete security deposit back. Due to this, we did not take any photos as the attendant had checked us out on the app and showed us the refund status of rs 5000 on the app.

                      As soon as we left, the slimy attendant added a damage fee within 10min.

                      Even during pickup, the attendant refused to click photos of the car and said that they were all in the records. It was heavy rush time in station

                      This is a huge scam. They are refusing to share timestamped photos of both before car pickup and after car dropoff and are claiming that it is against the zoomcar policies?!

                      How does one investigate a damage without any photos from before and after?

                      I demand a complete reversal of my security deposit of rs 5000 as there is absolutely no basis for the charge.

                      There was absolutely no incident or accident that occurred during the trip.

                      The customer service has been a complete nightmare and i hope this forum will help me get this incident resolved.

                      They dont have complete papers of the car too still no one is seeing that adding photos see it

                        I booked a zoom car on 29 september i start my journey from banglore to mysore the car drop time is 12 am but the locked the car at 7 am when i call to the customer care the tell to pay 6380 to extend the time i pay that amount after one our they un locked the car when i calling so much time after unlocking the car stering is getting so much tight i call to customer so much time they ask the silly question finally i take the picture of stering and email them then one person will call and tell that we tow this car we are wating one hour but nobody will come to take the car then i again call and tell that we drop this car to puja kalyan mantapa at 6 pm they tell ok our tow van will wating you give the car key to tow person i arrived at 5.30 pm and wait one hour but nobody will come to take the car after one person will and tell that towing person is busy with other vender you it's will come after 3 hours then they tell that you give the key to other person and give that person number then i tell nobody is here than they tell to drop the car to carvery motor then i tell i can give this car to carvery motor because is stering is very tight i drop this car to puja kalyan mantapa only you sent the tow van and collect than they tell if any thing will happen with car you are only responsible

                            I have booked zoom car from my friend account, and we booked i20 blue colour for 24th september 2017 in coimbatore and we returned it on same date. By returning back the service provider guy asked 1000 rupees for minor damage charges. And we asked him the proper reason he was unable to reply. And fuel is also not filled while giving the car. On the way we put 1000 rupees fuel. So we paid totaly 6000 rupees for 380 km with unnecessary damage charge. So i am totally disappointed with ur service provider guy... He dint give a proper reason and his communication was totally rude and bad. So 2nd time i am experiencing this.

                              One of my friend used my mobile number and email id for booking a zoomcar with his driving licence, but now when i am changing the profile it is not getting changed.
                              I called the customer care number of zoomcar and asked to change it but they told that now it cannot be changed.
                              But what can i do now... I want to book a zoomcar from my mobile number and email id but there is dl uploaded of my friend. Due to this issue i am not...

                              Booking id jps6tdpb5 at trivandrum 17 sept - 19 sept

                              They have charged me a fraudulent damage fee of rs 5000 without showing any proof that the damage occurred during my trip.

                              The attendant checked us out during drop off and certified that there was no damage to the car. He assured us that we would get the complete security deposit back. Due to this, we did not take any photos as the attendant had checked us out on the app and showed us the refund status of rs 5000 on the app.

                              As soon as we left, the slimy attendant added a damage fee within 10min.
                              When we asked for the damage photo, they emailed a photo of a car (Which does not even look like the car we rented) and refuse to give us a timestamped photo of the same.

                              Even during pickup, the attendant refused to click photos of the car and said that they were all in the records. It was raining very heavily and the entire parking lot was completely flooded. It was impossible to get out and click photos. So much for being considerate to the attendant.

                              After we left the lot, we took a video of the car which has even been shared to them.

                              This is a huge scam. They are refusing to share timestamped photos of both before car pickup and after car dropoff and are claiming that it is against the zoomcar policies?!

                              They first said that they do not have photos from before the pickup and now they are saying that they have it but will not share it.

                              How does one investigate a damage without any photos from before and after?

                              I demand a complete reversal of my security deposit of rs 5000 as there is absolutely no basis for the charge.

                              There was absolutely no incident or accident that occurred during the trip.

                              The customer service has been a complete nightmare and i hope this forum will help me get this incident resolved.

                              Added photos that they shared and what i have. The color of the car is also different! This is a complete fraud!

                                Sir, i am aishwarya. I booked a car in your site and cancelled immediately after 30min. I noticed that half the amount i paid will be deduced and half will be refunded.
                                Sir, does immediate cancellation won't get full amount refunded, if not it's that right i[censored] make it half amount??

                                  I have booked the zoom car for 10 hours duration from 8 am to 6 pm. At around 3.45 pm i extended my booking for another 1 hour till 7 pm. That time i got extended time on zoom car app also and rs. 204 also got deducted from my account instantly. Later while dropping off vehicle at 6.30 pm, got a call that my extended booking got reversed and i have to pay rs. 470. But when i checked with the dropping representative they also showed the message that amount has been reversed due to technical problem not because of me. So i am ready to pay 204, for which i extended my booking for 1 hour not for zoom car mistake and they are charging for late return charge.

                                    Hi attached is the invoice charged for my last booking. I have 2 queries

                                    1. Booking was done using axis bank 20% offer. So a discount of 960 should be applicable and during payment the discount is reflected. But as soon as the payment is done there is an outstanding amount 960 reflected. I was told to pay it and will be refunded after the trip is completed. But refund of 960 is not initiated. Please explain.

                                    2. There was a damage to the car since a pig ran under my car while i was on the way form tirupathi to chennai. And 15000/- is changed as damage cost. Without any initial inception by the service team they asked me to pay 15, 000. So will you clarify why 15000 is cost apart form insurance.? I hope zoom car is having insurance covered. And initially they asked to pay 10, 000 and submit my original license and later for not submitting my licence i was charged 5000 extra. So my question is after the damage is estimated and insurance is claimed will you share the damage invoice and how much it cost.?

                                    Do i need to file a fir for my accident and share what all happened with my booking.?

                                    We definitely understand your concern regarding the escalation. Upon checking we see that the discount amount has been refunded to you through IMPS and the same has been transferred to your bank account.

                                    In regard to the damage charges levied on the booking. Customers are liable to pay a minimum damage charge in case a damage is reported. Any expenses above the charged amount will be borne by the company.

                                    Upon checking we see that the damage charges are valid and we are unable to reverse the same. Hoping for your kind understanding in this regard.

                                    How did you arrive at 15, 000 as a minimum amount for damage.??? policy says that 10, 000 is the maximum amount that will be charged in case of major accident. How will you justify this.? and what if the repair cost less than 15, 000 and you also have it covered it under insurance.?

                                    Also original license needs to be carried by all the drivers in Tamilnadu. and how come you can ask to submit my original licence to you untill all the formalities complete including car repair and insurance claim process is completed.

                                    And when i said I will pay the damage changers but cannot able to submit my original license since I need it to travel home and office every day the representative called and some one form zoom car site and asked to increase the damage amount by 5000 for not submitting the original license. Is this what your policy say.??
