Worst experience.. We booked nearby zoomcar but had to travel a lot for getting near pickup point... The place was like jungle, no range, application also not working... Heavy traffic.. Delay to park the car as no instruction given where to park the car... Now telling to pay 7000 rs fine and has sent legal notice also...1000rs fine is okay for a compromise.. But 7000 is too much that too not our fault.. Completely zoomcar fault...

    Booked a car which breakdowns (Gear box issue) within 20% of agreed trip of 750 free kms

    Amidst a forest with no gps /mobile support.

    You try by all your means to get your family a safer place, report the incident to the customer care zoom and spend 3–4 hours in inactivity. After rigid follow ups the tow vehicle arrives next day morning after 22 hrs (Plz note this happened in mhasala some 150 kms away from pune and 140 kms from mumbai)

    In the mean time you have shifted your family to a hotel, at extra cost, your original hotel gets cancelled due to no show and there you lose a refund. Zoom car customer care apologies for not able to do much (For any alternative arrangement) and you are requested to arrange the rest of the trip subject to promised reimbursement.

    So you take a similar 7 seater and move forward to complete your itinerary, but you lose a considerable happy hours with family and money as well.

    A driver driven car coated me 10k to complete my trip and come home.

    Now the app says

    Basic booked amount = 9.5k with 750+ free kms

    Deposit = 2k

    Paid amount during booking = 11.5k

    Extra arrangements to get out of the situation = 3.5 k you lose the mtdc refund, for no show, because you feared to leave the vehicle, just like that in a forest without any security.

    2k for shifting 7 people to nearest hotel within 30 kms, with help of locals

    I towed 10 kms with a help of a bolero spending 2k with a chain

    Auto and pickup fares to 1.3 k

    Arranging a driver driven 7seater to complete the rest of the journey 600 kms back home to spend another 9k, which zoom promised to reimburse, but they still lied.

    Now the interesting part, they slapped and forced to pay a damage fee of 10k, which is being legally asked to justify against the damage on my part.

    I want to claim 80% of the trip money for the trip terminated, or reimburse 10.5k that i had to shell out to complete my journey
    Plus they have to refund 10k of damage money

      Hi,

      I am a zoomcar member since past 3 years and even a platinum customer (They don't ask for security deposit) and was very impressed by zoomcar and its service before the below incident took place.

      I had made a booking in june (Bookind id: jps6t1idg) where during submitting the car, the local dealer raised false complaint of the scratches in car which were there before the booking as well. At that time my phone was dead so i was unable to show him photos, so he asked me to send him once i reach home.

      I did the same and he said that he would forward the same to legal department and complaint would be settled.

      But after 4 months again i am again receiving the mail regarding same issue to settle up the balance and now that i have cleared the data from my phone, i have no idea how to deal with this.

      Is this some kind of strategy of zoomcar against their customer as they are neither providing with any executive's number to speak to and above that they are threatening me of filing with civil and criminal case against me

        Zoomcar has turned into a scam / fraud business
        —
        Duping customers by putting hefty charges and giving them faulty driving hazard cars and putting our and our family's life in danger due to criminal negligence.

        2 faulty driving hazard cars given within few months and then my money also not refunded. Forget about compensation.

        1 car having faulty steering getting hard suddenly by itself while driving and then soft by itself. Recipe for a deadly accident.

        1 car having windshield visibility problems and engine smoking causing visibility to become zero while driving. Another warrant to death.

        They lure you into filling fuel and promise refund and extra 500 points. Later they put wrong charges and forfeit that amount also.
        Then they threaten you on phone like gundaas

        Total scam - stay away if you value your family's life and hard earned money

          This is the email i received from zoom car

          Hi,

          Please explain how "the car has been used in excess of the paid rental amount".

          Despite repeated denial of any damage been done to the car during the time it was under my usage, i was harassed for pre-existing issues with the car.

          Also, i clearly remember mentioning all the scratch marks and dents (Including the one held against me that night) to the staff on duty before taking the car from the pick up point. There were so many of these damages on the car that there was no point taking so many pictures (To be used as proof against false charges).

          Hence, i request you to provide me any proof against the fact that i was not responsible for whatever usage is being referred to in excess of the already paid rental amount.
          As per my knowledge, there was no damage done to the car.

          We did have a check on the escalation raised by you regarding the vehicle damage charges. We see that the charges levied are appropriate as the there are scratches on the Left side rear door and quarter penal damage.

          As per your request, we have shared the damaged image at your registered mail ID. Unfortunately, we are unable to do much in this case.

          Hi,

          As I mentioned during my call yesterday, I wasn't made aware of these damages after my booking ended, and as I mentioned earlier there were already scratches on the car. You guys are levying such charges without even telling the customer, and then you serve them with legal notices. The person who handed me over the car filled the checklist himself and didnt even tell me that charges will be levied for a damage which I didnt even cause.

          I want a detailed investigation report on this matter.

            Hi my name is yashwanth and i took a red swift of anil (Zoom car partner) booking id jps6tbsae on 21/10/2017. At first the zoom car is unclean completely lots of sand on the seats and as there is emergency i have to adjusted with that, coming to the point when i see the car there are damages and dents scratches on the car and it is present in the check list front door is damaged and there is another damage present under the left front tyre but i didnt find any option regarding that particular point and i thought it might be that only which indicated as front door damage. So i just didnt took any images and i have started my trip. I went on orr completely. I didnt hit any vehicle or i didn had any accident. After returning to the position. I have ended my trip before time and with some excessive kms. After i have ended it shown in the app that 1500 for the trip and for more 19 kms 228/- have deducted and from the security deposit of 5000/- it showed that 4772 will be refunded to you. I just left as it will take some time to refund. But after an hour i opened the app to see what happened to the refunded amount, i was shocked to see that there is damage and 3500 deducted and only 1272/- will be refunded. I tried to contact customer care but it told unavailable so i texted a mail to them. It showed it will be reached you within 24 to 48 hours. The next day morning ie on 22 oct 2017 when i opened the app it showed there is outstanding amount of more 5228/- to be paid. Without any damage how can i pay that. If i do i should have paid and i should have remained calm. Now without any fault from my side they asking me to pay the outstanding amount. The executive should have mentioned after the trip ended when they mentioned that 4772/- will be refunded. I should have reached the car and talked to the zoom car executive. But none is happened. Now unfortunately without any damage from my side i have to pay for the damage done for someone.

              I had hired a car ford figo on the 19th oct 2017 from jaipur airport. This is the first time i used zoom car services and the agent who handed over the car showed me the car condition and asked me to fill the information on the app. The car was not in the best of the conditions and was damaged externally. The agent asked me to fill in the information as minor damages which i did.
              Finally while returning the car the agent who came to collect the car says that the car is damaged and i had luckily take a video of the exterior while receiving the car and showed him that it was damaged when i had received it.
              The driving conditions was also not good but that i felt once i started my trip. The car was running absolutely fine but just vibrated when stopped, which i thought was how the car is as it was a tourist car and driven by many.
              The car had an issue when i had received it and i was guided to put that as a minor damage by the agent who handed over the car.
              The car was not in the best of conditions as i mentioned in my earlier mail and also the car battery drained out on the 3rd day and i had to get it repaired for which there was no bill given as it was a small town and i cannot even claim the same from zoom cars.
              After all this when i return the car in the same condition as i had received i have been cheated and charged damages which was not caused because of my driving or during my journey but was the condition of the car given to me.
              The car book was for 5 days on 520kms which was show as an amount of rs. 7725 plus a deposit of 5000 and then they plan to cheat the the customer and charge damages worth 10000/-.
              After multiple complains and emails the customer service representative just calls and say that you will have to pay the damages and as our local support claims that there were damages in the car. All i asked for is to give a proof of the conditions on the car when handed over to me and mentioning that there were no such issues when handed over, which he very conveniently refused and said that you will have to pay for the damages.
              Zoom car - frauds to earn money by giving customer damaged car and then claiming damages on the customer on returning.

              We did review your email. Based on the escalation raised, we did have a thorough check on the damage charges levied on the booking.

              We do provide customers time to inspect the vehicle before they start the reservation, to inspect the vehicle and list down any damage or scratch on the vehicle in the start checklist. We also allow customers to take pictures of the vehicle for their reference.

              We did review the checklist filled and found that no damage was reported at the time of pickup. We also checked the checklist filled by the previous customers and found that none had mentioned about the damage.

              Validating these details, we reverted stating that the damage was caused during your reservation. We are sorry to let you know that we will be unable to reverse the charges levied on the booking.

                Zoom car folks - this is nagarajan and my booking id is jps6tfz1f. I surrendered the car on 13th oct'17 after completion of my rental period. I had filled the checklist in the app and closed all the formalities and it clearly mentioned there is no dues from me. At the time of handing over of keys - one of the supposed representative from zoom car - showed me a damage in the running board below the front door and i had not clue about the damage and was not responsible for the same. The next day (14th oct) one of the zoom car representative called and told me i need to pay 2k as damages and the car has been sent for garage. On 19th oct'17 - i got another harassing/threatening call from an agent saying i need to pay rs.10k. The agent was never willing to listen to customer's side of the argument to complaint and kept saying i need to face legal consequences which was completely unwarranted for. When you have a clear damage insurance already - you cannot threaten customers to pay exorbitant amount for damage that they were not responsible for. The damage to the running board below door cannot be so expensive. I never expected zoom car to be so unprofessional and unpolite to regular customers like me. This whole episode has caused immense dissatisfaction and breach of trust. I will never ever recommend zoom car again to my friends or family members - with this kind o[censored]nprofessional and unfair practices in the whole rental market. I feel completely harassed and disappointed.

                On what basis are you saying - i damaged the car. At the time of surrendering the car to the contact person - i clearly explained the same. Moreover the damage on the running board below the front door can never cost you Rs.10, 000 as you claim. This is probably the easiest way of you cheating the customers. Even more harassing is - you guys have blindly sent a legal notice which says - i have used the car beyond the rental period - which is false and mis-leading. You guys have a clear damage insurance and the premium is paid uptodate. What is the legal reason for charging this 10k. This is absolute fraud and innocent customers like me are cheated thoroughly. You guys have already caused enough mental harassment for me. This is unacceptable. I repeat - your conduct is absolutely unprofessional in the rental market. Not acceptable at all. You cannot threaten customers by sending legal notices for fraudulent charges. I am going to take a strict legal action against Zoom car for cheating customers. Be professional in the market. Dont cheat users.

                  The condition of the car was really bad. So, bad that we almost crashed because of the faulty lights. Faulty headlights, broken bumper that fell off while driving, faulty windscreen-kept fogging when it rained, faded interioirs, screeching sound from the ac console. Such bad condition of the car and still they are not providing me any refund. Paid the full amount for a good condition car got a faulty car yhat could have resulted in a crash.

                    We booked a car, but it got wrecked in between our journey. Our whole trip got spoiled, we have to stand outside on the highway while raining for 3 hours. They promised to return the taxi amount too, but now instead of returning the amount they are imposing unethical charges on us.
                    We used our car for half of the kilometeres only.
                    Instead of returning the paid amount and the taxi amount, they are imposing a huge outstanding amount.

                      We booked a zoom car on 7th Sep 2017 in Bangalore from Garuda Mall (Booking ID: JPS6TVL4K ). we received the car on 8th Sep and we had to go to coorg from Bangalore but while going to coorg our car broke down. we called up Zoom car and their representatives told us that you give the car back and we will provide you a other vehicle, we agreed. However, zoom car called us again and told us that they would not be able to provide a vehicle, i.e we need to book a separate car from Coorg to Bangalore and they will give us the full refund for that and they will be taking the car which we booked from zoom from coorg itself, we again agreed to this also. we booked a car from coorg and came back to Bangalore. After coming to Bangalore we got a call from zoom car saying that we broke the clutch plate of the car and we need to pay 10, 000 for it, where in we only drove it for around 280 km, there is no way by which we could have broke the clutch plate. we raised a complaint to zoom car and consumer affair regarding this and we told them the whole scenario so they stopped calling or sending emails. Now again after 20 days they contacted us saying we need to pay 10, 000 rupees for driving the car more than the given limit which is completely wrong we did not even drove the car half way. we gave it back to zoom car representatives in coorg itself where in zoom car is saying in their email that the car was given by us at magrath road on 9th of sep. we were in coorg on 9th sep 2017. clearly they are running a scam. Now they are threatening us by saying that they will send a legal notice.

                      Please help we want our refund from zoom car.

                      1. Zoomcar promised us that our cost of taxi will be refunded because of the damages caused by improper maintenance of the car.

                      2. Once we reached back we were about to submit the refund and bills.In application refund option made disable and charged extra 10000 against us.

                      3. Threatening against us.

                      4. Created a cause of damages to our life due to improper maintenance of the car.

                      5. Misrepresentation of extra charges which we are not at all responsible.

                      6. Delaying refund

                      7. Our overall plan got delayed because of this issue.

                      We got a mail from Zoomcar saying charged extra for additional kilometer driven which is a misrepresentation from Zoomcar company.

                      How can that be considered as driving negligence?

                      What driving negligence we have done?

                      Adding to the above point Zoom car representative told us Zoomcar will repay for the taxi expenses incurred for our remaining trip. After we reached back we were about to upload the bills. Once we tried that they disabled the feature o[censored]ploading bills instead they started asking money from us.

                      Please explain what damage we have made to the car. Please provide service history from authorized dealer with the explanation that damage occurred due to the driving of last 280 kms which we have driven.

                      Do you really think a vehicle clutch plate can break down within 280Km ??Do RTP give licence to people who dont know to drive ? Are you running a toy shop where car can breakdown with couple of km ? You people are No1 fraud company . You give away faulty car and charge customer in excess which you have generally made a business now .. Guys never never turn up to zoomcar.
                      Hey Zoom,

                      IF you so genuine why are you charging customer wrongly ??? If they have brokedown clutch ask them to pay for it, but why did you send a notice stating you have exceeded Kms and need to pay the amount for it ? this shows your standards .. we have now almost published your fraud in different IT company and will continue so.

                        I had made a zoom. Car booking on august second, and paid rs. 5957 in total for the same. For some reason the booking was cancelled and i got a message saying refund will be initiated shortly. After waiting for almost a full month i complained to the customer care and got the refund on september 27th. For some reason today i get a message from. My bank saying rs.5957 has been debited from my account, and upon inquiring it was treated as a wrong reversal of cash and zoomcar has taken back the refunded money. This is ridiculous and i don't understand why this happened and why i am not contacted first before anything like this.
                        There have been multiple problems caused to us by this company recently.
                        Please see to it that the money is refunded immediately.

                          One week after complaint I could not receive the deposited amount in my bank account from where I had paid the same to you. Let me know to whom should I complaint for this type of poor service.You are once again requested to credit the same to my account immediately.                             The car was picked up almost around 1 hour late than the pickup time as my arrival to nagpur was delayed.
                            The car was returned 20 mins late than the designated return time and i was charged late fee 300 rs and late charge 120rs which is really not cool.
                            The zoomcar picup and drop point is in the midst of a slum area with narrow roads making it difficult to drive and navigate to that place. The delay is to be considered looking at the traffi on roads.
                            All this can be considered as a matter os standard policy but is not right as per customer service point.
                            The main problem is the inspection done by the executive, very arrogant, chewin pan masala or tobacco and hard to understand as well as smells irritating when he talks to you.
                            He did not accpet the car back immediately for inspection as he wanted to first ear the pan masala.
                            Was trying to shiw dents and threaten for the charges on it to be levied when they were present from before had to show the video backwards and forwards again and again to make him agree that they were present when the car was handed over.
                            He the strted to claim that the car smels like smoking and conlcluded that i have smoked in the car and there will be fon it as well.
                            I was just feeling like he is trying to extort money by trying all possible reasons and says at last “ nai jamta to mat lo gaadi zoomcar se” with few abuses.
                            Serious training is required on how to deal with customer’s in person.
                            The first ride expected was to be hassle free and enjoyable but indeed was painful and unfriendly at last when it ended.
                            Zoomcar you need to work on better customer service and experience else the day is not far away when you will be thrown out of business even when you have all the other aspects good.

                              I booked the vehicle and collected at 7:20pm on 13th october from kokane chowk branch and i returned the vehicle at 10:30pm the same night.
                              I had booked elite i20 for 60km free and paid advance amount of 680 as fair charges.
                              But when i returned the vehicle the vehicle collector told me you have used 349km and pay the outstanding amount of rs.3500. Fuel while collecting was 90% and while handing over back the vehicle fuel was 75-80%.

                              And total as per google maps route i have travelled around 60kms only then how the reading shows 349kms extra run.

                                I'm using zoomcar service from almost 3 years and took several rides. This time i had very bad experience, as i booked car

                                Ford figo with booking id jps6t4vij on 6th october, 2017 4:00. Car which was allocated was zap car and i have to pick car

                                From some apartment. As per instruction i found car located at same place. As per zoomcar instruction i filled up checklist,

                                While filling up checklist i have mentioned there is damage in front as well rear bonnet, and driver side glass has damage.

                                After that i took ride and dropped back at 6th, october 20174 15:35. I'm aware that zoomcar takes sometime to calculate

                                Outstanding amount as well refund so i was waiting for that. 6th october, 2017 23:07 i received text message as well email

                                For your booking id jps6t4vij, no charges are outstanding nor any refund due. Next day 7th, october 2017 i got call from

                                Zoomcar saying that you have outstanding amount of rs. 7000 against damage charges of previous booking. That lady was so rude

                                When i said i need proof for damage, for moment she got quite and than she said do you have any proof for not making damage

                                And conversion end up with several warnings from zoomcar (Like legal action are waiting and etc...). Later words i raised

                                Complaint through their customer care. During last 72 hours they called me several times by saying we need some more time to

                                Investigate. I was ok with that finally 10th october, 2017 i got call from zoomcar by saying charges are valid and there is

                                Damage and you need to bare this charges.

                                Points from my side:
                                1. If damage was there, why i have received message which says there is no any outstanding. Which is attached.

                                2. I requested for the images with time stamp for damage. Still nothing has been given from there side.

                                3. Damage is reported after 24 hours of dropping time.

                                4. No any investigation proof provided from zoomcar side. The reason given is before you whoever customer used car he agreed

                                There was no damage. After you who ever customer used says there is damage. This is not valid reason to pay 7000 inr.

                                5. It was apartment so i think parking should have cctv, which might clear the things.

                                6. Where i parked car there construction work was going on, kids were playing in parking that also can be reason for damage

                                (After i dropped).

                                7. During pick up my checklist has mentioned that there was damage in front as well rear bonnet.

                                8. Final point is after every process and calculation got over after 18 hour they saw damage. While calculating km and

                                  Dl 1n 8719, maroon colour 4 wheeler jeep.. The driver was driving very harshly it was just about to hit me when soon i realised and turned to the side. This incident occurred around 7:45 pm, 13th of october 2017 inside iiser mohali campus on the way to hostel.
                                  I may have gone with this case to the police, but i thought it's better that the matter settles between you and your client.
                                  I hope you will be considering this matter seriously as i have eye witness for the issue.

                                    Booked zoomcar (Booking id: jps6tv665) on 13 sep '17, paid rs.1520 online and received confirmation email from zoomcar. On reaching the pick-up site the executive there told me that he cannot provide the vehicle as the license is pending for approval on the app. On calling customer care, they said they have to reject the license for some reason and cancel the booking and promised full refund. Haven't received the refund and not even a confirmation mail for refund till date.

                                    Its been a 2 month, I didn't get my refund back. Earlier I posted this complaint on http://consumerhelpline.gov.in/ where its still showing under processing. I didn't get any response after that, please look into this.

                                    We understand your concern here, however, the license was declined as it is already approved under the email ID [protected]@yahoo.com. As a one time exception, we have canceled the booking with a full refund. The refunds are initiated to the account which you used to pay at the time of the booking and this will take 5­-15 days to reflect in your account.

                                      I cancelled my booking and it has been 20 days now but i did not get my refund. Zoomcar initiated the refund on 27 september ‘17 and even there application shows that refund has been completed.

                                      I tried contacting them and they just gave me the payu transaction id and asked me to follow up which is useless. There is no way to contact and talk to a zoomcar care executive. They just have an automatic reply that refund is conplete. This is just disgusting. This was the first time i had such an experience with any website.

                                      I recommend all of you to please beware while making any payments at zoomcar.com

                                        Hello zoomcar,

                                        Thanks for the troublesome experience that you have given to us.
                                        We have booked zoom car for our kerala trip from 7th oct (10 am) to 10th oct (6 pm) which is around rs 8600 for 80 hours and 800 km (Booking id : jps6tv2tq)
                                        The car given to us has diesel leakage problem which we noticed it on 9th at 12 pm after we reached our resort in munnar.
                                        It took close to 18 customer support calls and 10 hours for them to tow the vehicle which eventually means we have not enjoyed one complete day of our resort stay which is rs 8000 for single day. Basically half of our trip went in talking to zoomcar customer care loosing the mental peace.
                                        Cs guys will call every 10 minutes and ask what is the problem? I dont even understand how poorly they maintain the record of earlier calls. After so much of fuss and towing the vehicle, another customer support guy calls and asks us the status of returning the vehicle on 10th oct as it is nearing the end of the trip.

                                        After towing the vehicle they have added rs 10000 to our trip telling it as vehicle damage fee as per the so called zoomcar policy.

                                        However the vehicle is towed and it took 3 days for them to get the service report which told that there is no problem for our end, it is eventually the mistake of zoom car for handing over the vehicle which has a diesel leakage problem which would have been catastrophic.

                                        We have not gone out of our munnar resort because of this and we have to take the next days flight back to hyderabad so we booked a cab and came.
                                        Now coming to again so called refund policy, they told they will reimbursement the cab bill which is rs 2800 which is same as the unused hours amount.
                                        Hence, there is no loss to zoom car because they are refunding unused hours. They are not at all penalizing themselves for handing over the wrong vehicle to customer.
                                        We are asking refund for unused hours as well as return cab bill which is close to rs 5000

                                        The loss from my end is
                                        1) compromised in roaming in munnar as we didnt had vehicle
                                        2) one complete day in answering customer care calls.
                                        3) lost mental peace in the most awaited trip

                                        Finally i never want to encourage anybody in taking zoom car as they are not maintaining vehicles in good condition and having a very poor customer support.
