Well, first the good part.

I had a good trip with zoom scorpio for 3 days. Price, drop and pick up was on time.

Now the bad part.

Car no: ka51aa3452 (Red scorpio)

In case someone from zoomcars reads the review and complaint, please respond. Here is the booking id : jps6tb8ei

I knew few charges which zoom car drivers/owners charge to customers though they are not caused by customers. Hence i took care to record video and photos before i took the car from zoom guys when they came to drop the car to my location. One wheel cap was missing, this is a usual tactic to charge later. Few dents, interior door handle missing, over speeding, cigarette ash inside the car etc etc.

During my 3 days trip, i took good care of the car. Did not park on street, did not cross the speed limit, payed road taxes, paid parking, no scratches or dents, clean driving.

I returned the car in the evening. Driver came, he checked the car, confirmed nothing was damaged, ended the trip in the app after uploading fuel receipts.

Trouble starts after i returned the car. Driver took the car back to their hub and sends me a whatsapp picture with a scratch at the back. He said they will charge me rs 2000 for the damage. I argued with the driver, but he said you talk to zoom car, and that they have uploaded the picture which was taken at my location etc etc.

I asked him to send the picture taken at my location, but he did not have. He said i would get an email through mobile app where i can check the pictures. I have not received it yet. Anyway, later i get a rs 2000 damage fees in the app without any proof or pictures.

After couple of days, i get a call from zoom cars saying i have outstanding amount. I told them what had happened. Here is what has happened. I returned the car without any damage, driver or owner damaged the car with a scratch themselves before they took it to the hub location. They sent me the picture and charged me 2000. They did not want to talk to me because they know they did it and now i will have to fight with zoom car to reverse the charges.

Now after a week, zoom car sends me a legal notice to clear the outstanding. No one calls me to ask the issue. I mailed them few times with what had happened. Then a customer care executive calls and talks about the issue. They say if i have a proof that i gave the car without damage. So i asked them if they have any proof that i have damaged the car. They say, it is not zoom car responsibility to take any pictures. Hence it is not customers responsibility to take any pictures. Then she asked is there a proof that driver told there was no damage when he took the car. Well, how do i get this proof. It was just a conversation which we had on spot.

Customer care executive then said, she was going to escalate the issue with legal, with second notice. They will not reverse the charges because it is valid as per them. As per me it is invalid claim. So the argument is still on.

Then after reading few reviews, i realized such damage charges and self inflicted damages are common among drivers and owners to make extra money. And zoom cars will not support the customer. They will just charge you and send legal notice upon another notice.

So be careful with zoom cars, take enough precautions, take pictures before and after the trip. Record your conversation with drivers in case you have to produce proof later. As far as possible keep away from zoom cars. It is a good service, but there are loop holes which owners of zoom cars exploit and customers have to suffer.

We have sent an email to your registered email ID with the required details. We did have a recheck on the escalation raised by you regarding the vehicle damage charges. We see that the charges levied are appropriate as the there are scratches on the rear door.

I will try to re iterate one more time because you have troubles understanding.
These pictures were not taken at my location. These pictures were taken after trip ended.
These scratches were made by someone else not by me
I cannot take pictures taken at hub location as proof.
If it was taken at my location, how did the driver know to take only these pictures but not from front and side?
Send me other pictures taken at my location.
This is the fraud action by the people who come to collect the car. Hence you will have to provide me proof of pics taken at my location from all angles.

For once, can you think from an angle where customer could be right? To extort money from customers, zoom car owners and owning drivers adopt such cheap tricks. Instead of taking action against such owners to maintain your reputation, you are harassing the customer again with invalid proofs and arguments.

If you still do not understand, connect me with someone who can understand what i have described.

I really do not know what you mean by your team will reach out at the earliest. It has been more than a month since I have written to them. Haven't heard back yet. I have written again today to [protected]@zoomcar.com, [protected]@zoomcar.com.
I anyway do not expect any responsible communication from zoomcar side. But I am still hoping to resolve the issue because I do not want to delay stuff.

Appreciate if you can speed up the process and "get in touch".

    I had raised a complaint earlier. (Above link). Asking those questions again in case you are not notified of it. Please check the complaint which was launched earlier

    I have not made any damage to the car. Why should i pay money for the things which i have not done. Besides answer me this, why was the car not inspected before it was given to me? Why was it parked so close to the wall?
    Also please send me the photo of the damage.

      I have taken honda jazz in bangalore. Before pick up i have asked the guy about the problems in car since i had to travel to kerala.
      He said it is in mint condition. But after reaching to some forest are where there was no mobile network, the car started giving trouble, it was not starting.

      I escalated this issue after reaching to a small town 5-6 kms from that location. Then it got resolved. Because of this, all my plans has been cancelled. So i spoke to the customer care and there was a delay in drop time. But this # are charged me 6490 for 10 hours delay.

      Now this zoomcar fellows are harassing me in phone call to pay the remaining amount.

      Seriously dont ever book zoomcar

        Hi team,

        I am a regular customer of zoom car but want to highlight issues faced be me and many of my friends now a days, kindly dont neglect them and dont simply focus on only earning.

        1) i checked the car to book on 3rd nov and car was available at hinjewadi and upon booking and payment i got link that car is available at kalewadi phata, how can you do that.
        2) i cross checked the km to drive but it excedded my consuption.
        3) i was in hinjewadi and i travelled 15 km to kalewadi phata to pick up the car and also 15 km to return this.
        4) i was about to go lonavala but i failed to go there as these 30 km make my estimate wrong.
        5) how can you do that, and also i was calling back to back to customer care but there i sno one to respond only auto teller machine was speaking and i as not able to reach to customer care.
        6) how can you make your customer fool?
        7) pfa, the call log i tried continue so that if i can cancel the location.

        Simply i need the refund for taxi charges by which i went to kalewadi phata to pich and drop the car which was 430/- inr one side.

        Don't loose your customer faith in you.

          My name is Mohd Basit A Khan
          I have booked a ford aspire car for the timings of 3.00pm till 6.30 pm from my registered mobile no of zoom car which was [protected]on the date 02 November 2017 and for that booking i have made a security depoait of rs5000 with extra amount of rs 660 for vehicle
          I used the vehicle i made the txn but i was waiting for my security deposit which i recieved on the next day which i have recieved in my paytm account linked to my contact no [protected]
          In the paytm there was an option of return the money to bank account so i thought that the amount might return into my account my personal account so erroneously the amount got refunded back into the account from which the funds was transferred into my account and i m really frustated because since two to three days i havent got any revert of my money from paytm
          Kindly find the below attachments as well for good to know information that the paytm transfer you zoom car made into my wallet was refunded back into the account it has been transferred from.
          So please insisting you to revert me my money after checkung that information because that money is my harden money with all my efforts i have earned that money.
          Also if you customer support cant taje any action against it i ll be highlighting this to consumer court or else file a complaint against you guys.
          Hope for a positive response from your end

            This is related to recent booking id(JPS6T6WQN), done by me on 01 Nov 17. The issue what I had with this is that I have been charged for damaging the vehicle.

            This issue is hot for me and I have been fighting for this from past 4 days. Initially Zoom car executive said this is only vehicle damage fee (7000/- INR). Though I have the valid proof that vehicle was damaged before the pick up as well. There was a huge pressure on me from zoom car executives, many proofs have been asked and when I have provided all of them then the executive start singing different story.

            Now they claims there is a tyre replacement fee. I am now tired saying that I am not reponsible for this. As a customer I was only supposed to verify that spare tyre is there in the vehicle or not, while pickup and dropoff. I am not supposed to inspect the cracks in the tyre and quality of it, that's not my job afterall. Moreover I could have done that if you have asked before hand to that. Your app only has the option of checking the spare tyre not the quality of it.

            I have once asked zoom field person to help me with pickup, he once rudly said "Its not my job to interact with customers", I again requested him to assist me and check the vehicle. At that time he checked stepney was there. At drop off he again said, just tick the same in App and go, he'll look at vehicle later. Then again I REQUESTED to the same. After one hour (3AM) in night he called saying that there are cracks in the tyre and you have to pay for it. I have to wake up again in the night again and went to the site. This is totally ridiculus, these guys cannot understand the kind of blackmail I am facing from their customer care executives.

            Now I have finally lost my patience and writing the same. I am not NEW customer, done multiple bookings from zoomcar and now this kind of behaviour of yours is turning me off. My question how can I take the responsiblity of the thing that I haven't done. Why not your representative told me the same at time for drop off. A lot can happen in a one hour window and I can't take the responsibility of that.

              Really disgusting company.. The booking id for zoom car was jps6txvk9. The clutch usually has a lifespan of 30000km to 100000km on average.. We were handed the car at 5am and by 7 am, about 50 kms ahead the clutch broke down.. The car was driven carefully on normal highway and the trip was registered for 300km. Foul plastic burnt smell was noticed and we immediately stopped and were stranded on highway for 3long hours. They sent a tow truck after 2hours and the response from the zoom car team was really poor and they even hung or didnt receive the calls many times. As the car is driven by many people and it has run for about 38000km, the zoom car team is completely blaming the last 50 km that we drove for the clutch fail and levying 15000 rs fine. If not payed in the next day they are threatening to impose 18% interest and legal charges on us. The service completely ignores the recorded 38000 km and blames for the clutch which is run for 50km by us normally. They are the ones to pay for the trouble they caused and for ruining our important schedule. Kindly look into this matter

                The person concerned,
                I had a booking with zoom dated 28th september 2017 from 6pm (Booking id: jps6t2v7t). Due to unavailability of car your customer carecalled me & changed the pick up location twice as well as the car i. E. Maruti swift (Ka51d2622). Now they promised me to reimburse the cab fare both ways to the pick up location. I had uploaded all the documents by 29th september 2017. It is been more than a month still it is pending, i yet to get the reimbursement ofinr 1213.84.
                Moreover, the booking is still live at the mobile platform. It is a technical error also from your end.
                For your quick reference i am attaching the cab bills & fuel bill here again.
                Now either sort out the thing as soon as possible.

                I was using email id of my cousin on my phone to book cars all this while and now would like to change it. The registered number is going to be the same. I have already logged out of the app and called customer care and they mentioned that they cannot help.

                Please assistance ASAP as have to book a car.

                    When i was booking a car on your website there was either a glitch or a misclick by me and it had asked for an ecosport in banglore instead of delhi my booking number is jps6txit0 i had immideiately cancelled it and changed my booking to delhi but i have only got half my money back is there a possibility to get the full refund back. We have sent an email with a link, request you to login to your Zoomcar account and then click on the link. Enter your bank details and the amount will be instantly transferred to your respective account.

                      Hi,

                      I had a booking with zoom car bangalore (Mahendra scorpio - ka01ac0102) on 18 october 2017 at 11.30 pm till 23rd october 2017 2.30 am. Booking id jps6tfyem. When i booked the car i was told that the car would be allotted to me from kormangala. On 18th october 2017 evening i got a call and i was told the allotted car met an accident and there was one more car available near suguna hospital. Since i had already planned my trip with my parents i agreed. I picked the car at 11.30 pm from zoom car out let near suguna hospital dr. Rajkumar road. When picked my car i was instructed to take a video of the car exterior. Since there were minor scratches across all corner of the car. I was not provided with any update on the last service report or date of the car. I started my trip and went on my trip. I had planned for bangalore-madurai-rameswaram-kanyakumari-bangalore. The complete trip was on nh44 only.

                      The trip went smooth untill i reach hosur toll gate around 11.30 pm on 22nd october 2017. After i crossed hosur toll gate, near chandapura buss stop, i experienced issue with the clutch of the vehicle. While changing the gear the clutch was not disengaging and hence i could not drive the vehicle anymore.

                      After that i reported this incident to to zoom car customer support, they had lodged a complaint (Complain number:-x[protected] and i was told that the road side assistance team would contact me in the next 15 minutes and the towing truck andcab will reach my destination by 1.00 am 23rd october 2017. So i said ok and kept on waiting till 1. Till that time i didnt even receve any call from any of the person from rsa team or zoom car customer support. Since i was stuck in the middle of the road late night with my family memeber, i kept on calling customer support about more then 6/7 times and everytime i was getting the response that i will be getting a call back within in the next 15 minutes. It was around 2.00 am i lost my temper and called of customer support and asked them to connect me to higher authority since i wanted to escalate this to them, then i spoke to mr bharath/ mr fazil and everyone was giving wrong infromation. At last mr fazil managed to arrange cab and i was told that the cab would reach by 3.30 am on 23rd october 2017. Since it was very late i booked a cab and send my parents to home which cost me around rs.700.00. Finally the cab and a coordinater from rsa team reached around 3.30. I spoke to the coordinator about the issue, that time we checked the clutch oil and it was fully empty. Also as per the coordinator the issue was might be with the clutch plate since the care had already run for more then 97000 km. And he also didnt know when was last time the clutch plate/clutch oil was changed.

                      Zoom car has completed the booking and amount of rs. 10000.00 was implicated om me. Since 23rd october morning i kept on calling multiple time to know what was the issue and i was getting only i reply from customer support, that they have sent the car for servicing and the service report will come within next 3-5 day or it might take more time aswell.

                      Today on 27 october 2017 when i checked my zoom app, i found that zoom car has implicated rs 5000.00 damage charge and they will refund rs 5000.00 to me. I called up customer care and they told me the dame charge has been implicated since in the service report it is written the damage report is correct and it was my fault.

                      I just wanted to bring few points to your notice :

                      1. I had been travelling on nh44 and not even been to off nh, zoom car has the gps tracking system and they can track it. How come the clutch plate will go off become of me?

                      2. Since i was not provided with any of the last service report of the car and when the clutch plate/ clutch oil was replaced, i wont buy this allegation that it was my fault.

                      3. While taking zoom car we dont check the engine oil/break oil/clutch oil etc, since we are old that the engine condition is good and the servicing is done and vehicle has been verified and is fit for driving. Nobody knows how far these statements are true.

                      My experience with zoom car was terrible during this trip and why should i pay damage charges just because zoom car is not provided proper vehicle.

                      Request you to please bring this to zoom car notice and resolve the conflict.

                        Alright, after being a regular Zoom Car Customer and a series of mixed experiences, this issue has puzzled me to the core and is keeping me sleepless for the past few nights. I have sent around 10 mails to zoom car support team but my single mail is also not yet acknowledged .
                        I have received fake legal notice from zoom car which I am not sure why they are sending.

                        I booked Ford Ecosport from 10:00 PM 04 Feb 2017 to 12:00 PM 05 Feb 2017. My BOOKING ID is JPS6V9G8Y. I paid a total of 2200 INR as the booking fees over the app.An hour before the pickup time at around 9PM I get a call that the booked car (Ecosport) is unavailable but an alternative (Mahindra Scorpio )is available.Perplexed by the response, right at the brink of collecting time, we decided to go forward and collect the car offered anyways by 10:30 PM .Reaching the destination we found the car to be in a untidy state, vomit on the floor and mats and window which upon confrontation was immediately cleaned up(We are unaware of the previous ride details) After collecting the car we headed to Nandi Hills, a decent getaway destination 80 kms from Bangalore where the vehicle started showing signs of bad clutch. The clutch pedal will not raise off the floor and mild smoke to come started to come from the engine. The hydraulics to the clutch stopped working. It looked like the master cylinder has gone out. This happened exactly a mile before our destination spot at around 6 AM( we started 4 AM)

                        The response from Zoom customer care was a tedious process. There is one number to call to which happens to take complaints and then registers it to forward it to respective internal departments.After making several calls to customer care, they registered a complain for the break down and informed us that Mahindra Road Side Assistance (RSA) will pick up the vehicle and tow it for repair. . Zoom did not offer any alternate vehicle for our trip though I mentioned that I have further plans of travel to elsewhere destinations. Instead they suggested to make our own taxi reservations for the trip but I was assured the following statements:
                        1) The amount paid for the remaining hours would be refunded.
                        2) Mahindra Roadside Assistance would tow the car to a repair workshop and taker care of
                        3)Zoom car provide a taxi for one way drop back to our residence out of which first 50 km would be free.(we traveled total 80 kms back home)
                        4) The amount for the taxi would be refunded.

                        Later a Mahindra RSA calls me around 10 pm and informs that the towing truck along with a custody person had been arranged and that they would be providing the taxi to our destination . After some time the 3rd party taxi operator arranged by Zoom Car/Mahindra called me that there will be an additional charge post 50 KMs (I paid 1100 total for Taxi) and about the refund, we have to claim with Zoom Car later on. We spoke to the Zoom car executive handling our case and he confirmed me on the same.(We spoke to Rohit from Zoom car)

                        An hour later Mahindra RSA calls me around 11 pm and informs that the towing truck itself has broken down and it will take another 1-2 hrs to get there.This was another disaster or rather a catastrophic goo[censored]p by zoom car which cannot be explained.Still hopeful, finally the taxi driver arrives at 12:30 PM to pick us up.We were without water and food stranded on the road and rushed downhill in the arranged pick up to refresh.We later coordinated with the upcoming towing company to have the car pick up and delivered at the workshop which was safely executed.We handed over the vehicle at 1:30 pm after some coordination and finally reached home by 2:30.

                        Since then it has been a tedious process for the next two days to get the update on the amount refund.But to my surprise what I see is another big blunder.ON the app, I now see an outstanding amount of Rs.12305 . 6th Feb they mention that that amount is towards vehicle damages. When I asked the reason, they did not know why and said they would register a complain and that I would receive a call within an hour.They did not mention anything about refunding the remaining amount.

                        Since then I haven't received any update till date and this is bugging me to the core to have this resolved.

                        Here is a glossary for reference:
                        1.Amount refund needed :2200(zoom car fare)+1100(taxi fare)=Rs.3300
                        2.Parties involved:-Zoom Car, Mahindra RSA, Taxi Service, Me
                        3.Amount reflecting as outstanding=Rs.12305

                          Dear zoomcar,

                          Extremely disappointed with the zoomcar service we received for our booking id jps6tf82q. (Grand i10) on 28th october, chennai. We had booked our car from 11.00am and we took the car around 11.30am and to our surprise the car stopped in the midst of high traffic at 12.00pm within half an hour, so we asked some fellow strangers to push our car so that we dont block the road and can solve the issue. We called zoomcar people and asked them to change the car or refund our money. They denied and gave us a temporary solution to remove the fuse box and reinsert it and after waiting for 45 minutes in the midst of the road, our car finally started. The car stopped because of heating. The car was getting heated., so the ac also stopped working and only fan air was coming. After all zoomcar people had the audacity to assure us that we will definitely not face this problem again in the remaining time of our booking. We spared them and continued driving again for 20 minutes after which the car stopped again on highway where we had nothing. Again we asked for assistance then they said there is some problem with coolant thats why car is getting heated in every 15 minutes. They asked us not to drive untill they get back to us on call with some assistance as the car was boiling at 106 degrees according to their system and censors fitted in the car. So we stopped for another hour by then it was already 3. We had a movie booking at 4 which we couldnt catch as it was 45kms away from the place where we were. Then they called us saying that search for a garage and repair the car as it is dangerous if you drive. So we searched for garage somehow and to our surprise the mechanic told us that there is no coolant at all in the car so we waited for 2-3 hrs for the bloody car to get repaired by then it was already 6. Thanks to zoomcar people that we had a booking to explore a new city as we were outsiders and they treated us quite well. Lovely treatment.
                          Last we returned the car at 8 and asked them refund of our whole booking and garage charges, entrance charges and movie tickets which we couldn’t catch. They promised us that they will refund all our money within 24hrs. But they didnt which was expected honestly.
                          Total refund comes to be 1440 (Booking amount)+40 (Entrance fees)+garage charges (1820)+movie tickets (418)=3718.

                          Will never ever recommend zoomcar to anyone. Moreover the car was in a very dirty condition apart from all these. We were boiling with the car as well in hot sun.
                          Thanks a lot zoomcars for cheating us.

                            Worst ever experience with zoom car. The legal notice says reads like this :

                            It has come to our attention that the car has been used in excess of the paid rental amount and in accordance of the agreement duly verified and acknowledged by you, you are liable to make payment of ₹10000 to the company. Please note that failure to make payment of the due amount will render you liable to civil proceedings and the company would be entitled to recover the due amount by attachment of your property (Movable/immovable) or otherwise. Further, willfully declining or making delay to pay the above said outstanding amount could also subject you to criminal proceedings.

                            We therefore request you to make payment of the aforementioned outstanding amount of ₹10000 within 5 days of this mail, failing which we shall be constrained to initiate against you civil and criminal legal proceedings as are warranted by law for recovery of the due amount. Please note that in accordance with the member agreement displayed here, duly verified and acknowledged by you, the company is entitled to recover all costs incurred in initiation of legal proceedings.

                            Does anyone know how to deal with these fraudulent charges levied by zoom car and the way they threaten the customers?

                              Booking id - jps6tx5f5, rented swift on 28th oct for one day and while dropping the car back i missed my stuff in car. I am trying to connect to customer care but there is no option to report missing stuff.
                              All i am getting payment calls for pending balance. Not sure is customer is more important or money. Hope zoomcar is not expecting me to use their service again.

                                Seriously - never book a zoomcar

                                I too picked up a red swift (Booking id: jps6v8umm) from forum value mall in june 2016. I returned it after a 4hr ride safely. Post the ride - the car handler showed me a scratch and said it was new. We checked the pre-ride check sheet and they had clearly mentioned about scratches on the leftside back door. The car was already damaged on the left rear door and behind the fuel tank.

                                I immediately took the pics of the pre-ride check sheet and the car pic post the ride (Both matched) and mailed them to the customer care, clarifying that there are no new scratches and the car handler is falsely charging me and asking me to pay for it.

                                I clarified this again with the car handler. He wouldn't listen at first and the customer care also replied “we never charge flaw or incorrect charges to any of our customer”.

                                We rechecked the statement on my pre-ride form and the car again. This time the car handler din't say a word. I even booked a car again and the deposit on my second booking was also returned later by zoomcar themselves (5, 000rs).

                                It's almost two years now and i am receiving emails claiming for a fine of 5, 000rs to be paid to zoomcar, with a legal notice.

                                I have never changed my contact number or email address. I was never contacted all this while. I contacted zoomcar legal and replied to their legal notice mail and received no further response.
                                I need relief from this please.

                                  I have booked a zoom car from hyderabad and they have charged 2500 for exceeding 125 km/hr which we were maintaining speed from speedometer as less than 120. This is a cheating to customer to loot their money by recording false speeds. They can add a speed lock if they need to restrict speed. Zoom cars has the worst policy in the name of this they are looking the customer it should be banned.

                                      I am consumer of zoom car from 3 months, on second time i had very bad experience of their refund policy and damage penalty.
                                      I booked my one ride at 19.10.17 on deepawali. Booking id : jps6tbrdy : swift ldi from gurgaon. I had extended the ride twice and paid at the same time, which is understood. Although the car has multiples issue that was :-
                                      1. Central lock was not working.
                                      2. Stereo has issue.
                                      3.ac has problem

                                      Car given me 20 minutes delayed and told that car is going for re fuel. Zoom team can check this with their advisor.
                                      So there no helpline number or complain option given by zoomcar.
                                      So zero marks for this.

                                      When i returned to drop location the person is too bad/poor for interacting with customer. He told me that car is damage from front bumper. I denied this but he was not understanding the things. These are not damage, only minor scratches are there. I had attached snapshot of these scratches which cost me 2000/- rupee. These types of scratches could be made by stones. Nobody can control, see in attached files. This thing hurt me a lot and worst exp. With this company.
                                      My total refund was 1500/- (Fuel) + 5000 (Security) = 6500/- but get only 3046/-
                                      We giving 5000/- rupee which is too higher as compare to other competitive companies to zoomcar..@
                                      Worst exp. With this company...#

                                      And also i have request how can delete my account and my documents from zoomcar app?
                                      Either i will raise complain on consumer forum also.

                                        Zoomcar another name of fraud. Doesn't know the difference between right side of car n left side. Shows false scratches, trap the customer, staff lets the customer go without payment, claims the wish they want.
                                        I have uploaded 2 pic ie daytime when i picked up n night i returned back. The scratches in both the pics are same, there is no difference n they are sending me legal notice of some 6800.
                                        Big fraud by zoomcar.
                                        It was the first n the worst experience.
