I am trying to get a refund for a failed transaction for past 20 days with no response from the bookmyshow support team. Every information with proof from the bank has been provided, but the things are delayed beyond expectations.
The ticket was booked on 19th may 2019. The request was raised the same day, but no resolution has been done to this date.
The worst part is there is no response from the support team. Even my email requesting me to provide an update as to whether i should wait or forget was never responded.

    I am syed ejaz hussain. I booked 5 tickets through bookmyshow apk for students of year 2 on 10th may 2019 at varun inox visakhapatnam but i did not received tickets by mail or msg and rs 919.50/- got deducted from my icici account. I given mail immediately to bookmyshow and called customer care executive also and informed them they told me that my booking failed and informed me that in 4 to 5 working day my amount of rs 919 will be refunded and given a communication reference number [#8663360]. Later i got call and they asked my bank statement i sent bank statement also but till day they have not taken any action.

      I booked 2 movie tickets through bookmyshow [hereafter referred as bms] mobile application on 12th of may and the ticket booking was unsuccessful but the amount was deducted from my account. Bms team said that the refund will be received in 5 working days but even after 10 days till today [23rd of may] there is no refund. Bms team opened the tickets for this issue in their system incident id - [#8721574], [#8684767] but when asked about the update on the refund, they are not ready to provide me an answer on it. Whenever i call them, they ask me to wait for 24 hours. The money is not received by me yet and the bms team is not replying to any of my mails. During the call, they keep me on hold for long period of time and doesn't reply on anything.
      I request bms team to provide me my refunded amount as soon as possible.

        Whenever we are booking tickets on bookmyshow through credit card issued by sbi or voucher to the tune of rs. 500, if two tickets are less than 500 rs than extra is charged but if the value is less than 500 rs than money left is not returned nor adjusted in the internet fees as well.
        The bookmyshow is cheating the customer and as per rbi you are not supposed to charge internet handling fees.

        "with the weekend up on us, many are busy booking tickets to the latest bollywood as well as hollywood releases. Much of this will be done online. A service that online ticketing websites charge for, over and above the price of the ticket. However, a latest right to information (Rti) query has shown that these charges could very well be unauthorised.

        The rti query to the reserve bank of india by vijay gopal, president of ‘forum against corruption’ a body fighting against corruption, showed that a user doesn’t have to pay extra while booking movie tickets online through a mobile app or website.

        The rbi stated that online platforms through which movie tickets are booked, do not hold the authority to levy handling fees from customers. The reply further explains that this is in violation of the rbi’s merchant discount rate (Mdr) regulations.

        Mdr is the cost paid by a merchant to a bank for accepting payment from its customers via credit or debit cards every time a card is used in their stores. A cost which by its definition means that it should be borne by the merchant/trader and not the customer. However, today’s platforms such as bookmyshow, paytm and pvr cinemas continue to charge exorbitant ‘internet handling fee’ from customers, which is in violation of the mdr regulations and therefore illegal."

          Event name: dj snake live on 24th march 2019

          6 tickets, total amount of rs. 6000

          The event got rescheduled on 23rd march 2019 and i filled the form for the refund. It was 10 days i waited and then got an sms message to send them the entry bands which were by chance with me but yes 1 out of 6 were actually torn out in my bag and hence i sent 5 of them by dtdc courier and it was well received on time on 2nd april 2019. Image attached.

          It's 14th may 2019 now and i haven't received any refund despite regular follow-ups on email and customer chat. Last time when i got a reply back they said i will get the amount in 5 days and that day was 25th april 2019.

          Please look into it.

          This is the email ticket id, which was raised but no one responds to it anymore.

            I am extremely disappointed that due to some typographical error from customer end and lack of system checks in bookmyshow confirmation process i feel my i have been cheated of my money by bookmyshow. I booked 2 tickets on 11 may at 14.57 hours for kontho movie at pjp cinema at jamshedpur. However due to typigraphical error frim my side the mobile number typed was 703*76291. How can bookmyshow send confimation to a number (703*476291) which is a invalid number since the country code of india is 91 and not 70. This is a basic system check, where error message must be shown for minor typographical error done by a customer. Hence my claim for refund is genuine and valid. If i do not get refund i will stop booking any ticket through bookmyshow.

                I booked 2 tickets on 19th April and one ticket on 20th April . And than as I saw this is a false booking I canceled my booking on 21st of April. The refund message came on 22nd from bookmyshow official, but i only get a refund of 57 rs from a total amount of 423 rs . As they mentioned to refund total amount within 10 days, but still after 10 days I don't receive my refund .

                  I had booked 6tickets for avengers endgame 26th 11.50am show on 21st april worth amount of 1468rupees. When i booked the tickets, it showed me as transaction failed. They even give me an sms that the money should be in my account till now. But the money is still not in my account.

                      I am trying to book 2 tickets for the movie 'tashkent files' at movietime: the hub, goregaon, mumbai-western on 2 may 2019. Unfortunately, bms is not accepting payment neither from paytm wallet nor from card. Otp isnt showing up for paytm despite no network problems and in case of card, i am unable to enter the cvv... The app is not reading the cvv. Please help asap.

                        The amount of inr 569.12 was debited from my account, however the seats were not booked and i got no confirmation. After sometime i booked the tickets again and this time i got the booking confirmation

                        Hi..I tried to book ticket through bookmyshow.The payment was successful.But due to network issue the tickets were not booked.When will i get my money back?

                          I am greety. Ibooked 6 tickets for a movie in book myshow.com in shobha mall inox on 15 april 2019 using federal bank credit card after selecting seats and entering my account details, bookmyshow website displayed some message like 'processing...' and after some time, it displayed, 'oops, an error occurred'.
                          But an amount of rs 1180.76 was debited from my account. I waited for around 20-25 minutes, but i didn't receive any sms or e-mail from book my show for confirmation of tickets but i did receive sms from bank for deduction of money. Money for my 1st transaction should be refunded bookmyshow as it didn't handle the transaction properly and deducted amount without booking the seats.

                          I contacted the on-line customer care executives also but they also just say that we will contact you as soon as possible but then there is no reply/respose. I request a refund of rs 1180.75 my details:

But the support team ( Yusuf Ansari ) A.T. Bookmyshow refused to credit the same by showing terms and conditions that werent even mentioned anywhere on the offer application page.

                            Description : yesterday midnight (1 am 25th apr), there were 9 unauthorized transactions happened to purchase bms gift cards using my amazon pay account for amount of 8500 inr, i already raised complain with bms (Incident # 8531622), it seems bms is hacked. Bms please do investigation quickly & refund amount asap.

                              refund money for an fraud and unauthorised transaction

                              Somebody accessed my book my show account on 17 apr 2019 and transferred rs. 1275/- and rs 850/- from my paytm wallet which was linked to my bookmyshow account by the name wer and rf as a 5 gift cards. I had immediately send an e mail to bookmyshow and requested them blocked the gift card. I then called bms customer care also and the ref id was given to me. Bms promised to revert after investigation by there backend team but as on 24th they...

                              I booked "avengers - end game" movie tickets through bookmyshow for sunday, 28th apr @ 2:20pm (Booking id wa2ya86) at cinepolis, dlf place, saket. After 24 hours, bookmyshow informed that ticket is cancelled since cinema has cancelled the show. I inquired and found that cinepolis didn't cancel the show. I called & asked bookmyshow reinstate my ticket booking as show is not cancelled however didn't receive any resolution or logical answer for cancellation. Bookmyshow must stop such malpractices as it cause lot of problem & pain to consumers.

                              According to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) platforms providing movie ticket booking services do not have any authority to levy handling fees on customers and that they are in violation of the RBI’s Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) regulations. Still I had to pay 254.88 to book 8 tickets for Avenger's end game on 27 th April 2019.

                                Yesterday, i received sms and email that i sent a gift card of 2000 and 500 on bookmyshow. Giftcards were purchased using quikpay. My quikpay was linked with paytm.

                                I have not made this transaction. I immediately sent an email to both paytm and bookmyshow.

                                Paytm replied saying since its from merchant side (Bookmyshow) only they can trace the transaction and find the fraudster.

                                So far, i have no response from bookmyshow despite sending several mails.

                                Ultimately i had to put this complaint here. I have sent all details of this giftcard to bookmyshow on [protected]@bookmyshow.com.

                                same happened with me yesterday (24th Apr mid night) where 9 gift cards were purchased using Amazon on BMS site, I already raised it with BMS, it seems BMS is hacked
                                Same happened with me on 08th April. 4 gift cards purchased. 2 from amazon pay and 2 from paytm. Amazon has refunded the amount for the two transaction. After chasing bms and paytm for more than 20times they have reversed the amount for third but the last transaction is still pending. This is not a co incidence that it is happening with all o[censored]s. Definitely there is a loophole in their system.
                                For help I connected call with customer care and the call continued about 30 minutes and at last moment when i came on waiting list number 2 that time suddenly withour any information customer care person cancelled my call and wasted my valuable time.How pathetic peoples are recruited and finally giving statments like it was system error.

                                  I had booked for avengers endgame 2 tickets to see alongwith my kid for the carnival: imax, wadala 04:00pm | 26-apr-2019 show vide bookmyshow confirmation id w3gffxa.

                                  Suddenly i got a sms and email from bookmyshow today that the booking is cancelled when i had not accessed the bookmyshow app nor given a call for cancellation.

                                  Tried interacting with bookmyshow help centre who have kept on insisting that the booking was canceled from my end only.

                                  Could be bookmyshow had overbooked and hence canceled my confirmed booking id w3gffxa

                                    Somebody just accessed my phone and transferred 1700 rs. From my amazon pay balance which is linked to my bookmyshow account by the name vriti c as a gift card to their account. I contacted them and they immediately blocked the gift card and told me that i will get my money back after they investigate . This was on april 19 th.today is 22 nd and still i get the same answer that they are investigating . How long does it take to just find the details of the person who stole money from account and transfer it back to my balance? Please help. My reference id which bookmyshow gave me is 8462357

                                    Similar thing happened with my account on 21.4.2019. From my amazon pay balance which is linked to my bookmyshow account, a gift card of Rs. 2125 has been purchased without my knowledge. Some one has hacked into the servers of bookmyshow and transferred the card to their email.

                                    I contacted them immediately telephonically as well as on email but they are just replying that they will investigate and then do the needful action.

                                    Atleast they can find the details of the person who stole the money from and refund my hard earned money. This case should be referred to Digital Crime Police, Govt of India to punish the culprits.

                                      I booked tickets for friday at pvr ecx mall, but the app crashed after the payment, and now i have a ticket on sunday with different seat
                                      How is this possible?

                                      If i cancel the ticket the cancellation charge is too much, for an error that is not mine. But i do not want cancellation, i selected friday, different seat and i want what i selected.

                                      If you cannot provide that i need full refund without deduction of service charge because this service is beyond fail. A deduction here is equivalent of shopkeepers dropping your eggs intentionally and asking you to pay for it.

                                      I contacted the customer service team, they said it was not possible to refund or exchange, and after the case was closed, they cancelled by their side. Now i don't have a ticket, no refunds received and probably the cancellation charge will be deducted.

                                      This is extreme customer harassment.
