I took hath way connection about 1 years ago. I am requesting them to disconnect the service for last mora than one month through phone and mails. Till now i must have called them around 10 times to take back their modem and repay the amount (rs.1000/-). They say that they will do it immediately every time I call. I guess these are a bunch of shame less people.
Also, at the time of taking connection they promised me Rs 500/- Big Bazar voucher. For that I called and visited their office around 20-30 times and still not recived the voucher.

I think that they are the wrost internet provider in India.

    I am residing in Bangalore. We took a cable connection and for one and a half year it worked okay though the transmission was not so good at that time too but we managed. Since the past three months the cable operators are not paying any attention to our complaint. After repeated complaints nothing has been done about it.

    I gave another complaint today, I was told that I should get in box installed. The payment is rs 750/-. They said that they are not promoting it but it would be better. Nothing has been done about the transmission. I spoke to Mr Kartik there. Mr Umesh who is the incharge in the locality never picks his phone. I have been told that the manager is changed. Her name is Gayatri but I cannot contact her. The phone no. of the above company is[protected]. I request you to kindly look into the matter.

      I have taken a Hathway connection (Account no: 237178) since 21/04/08. The plan 256 Liteway New Quarterly entiteles the user for 1.5 GB o[censored]sage per quater. I have renewed my plan on 23/06/08. The company has disabled my account stating that my usage has exceeded the limit. As per the records they have and they have provided. Since 21/04/08 till 23/06/08 the usage is 872.504 MB and from 24/06/08-24/08/08 is 673.468 MB. In both the cases the usage is lower than the actual limit. But current for the calculation purposes they have added all the 5 month usages and disabled my account. This is a complete fraud that they are doing and on complaining they have not responded .

      Hathway is charging me for 50MBPS and providing less than 20MBPS. This is 8 Block, Koramangala, Bangalore. I have written to them and called them many times, yet, no response from them! Their support line is not a toll free number as well. Every time I call them, I end up wasting at least 20 Minutes and 50+ rupess from my account. Account ID: 1437014. Complaint: 14363460.

        Hathway is one of the most customer unfriendly companies I have ever come across... Few quick points:

        1. Shut on sundays (if you are working and are busy on weekdays, forget getting your complaints addressed)

        2. They DON'T accept credit card payments. You can't pay online. Sundays they are shut. To collect payment from home/office they charge Rs. 100... Bill Payment is a hassle in itself

        3. Speeds are never what they promise. Their 128 kbps is slower than airtel's 64 kbps at times

        4. Suddenly goes off at times.. Customer care has no clue what is happening.

        5. Hidden plans, charges and tariffs.. (See your bills carefully)

        6. See this.. I was on a plan with 128 speed and unlimited download for Rs. 1100 something per month. With competition reducing rates they also launched a plan with 128 speed and unlimited download for Rs. 730 per month. HOWEVER, they never informed their existing customers and didn't change their rates. If you come to know of this, you have to call and get your rates adjusted from next billing cycle but if you don't know then you will keep on paying 400 extra...

        7. Websites don't show current plans and you are never informed so that you continue to pay extra for exactly the same plan with some other name

            i had take hathway cable tv set top box. Video picture quality is very bad (macro bock & glitches are coming on most of the channel). channel are overlaping each other, when i talk to their customer care which is on hatway site (regarding this). I found that Number is invalid. Service is very worst.

            I am staying in MP Mil compound and subscriber of hathway cable tv. My set top box is not working for last 4 days for which i have lodged complaint and my complaint no is 48292. firstly they are not attendin g complaintsw properly. It is advised me to give set ntop box nfor repairs without providing replacement and also I have to pay the bill for the period for which no service is provided to me. Will anybody inform me to where to llodge complaints against Hathway cable so that I get resolution of my complaint or disconnection of service with immediate refund of my deposit money.

              Sir, last week, I have shifted my residence at 2nd floor in the same premises, so I have informed at your SURAT office about that., they have replied me that, our connection shifting charge is Rs.1000.00. after many arguments they have agreed @ Rs.600.00

              I have some doubts in this regard so I have called at your Delhi Office as on date:- 09/08/08 & talked with Mr. Atul @ Tel. No. 46085601first he told me that, “Ok I have replied within sometime on your Moble No.” After one – two hour waiting period, I have call back to Mr. Atul. Then He replied me that, sorry we can’t register any complaint of Surat Region. You may contact at our Mumbai Office.

              So, Sir, Finally I am writing to you in this regard that, sir, after all I have shifted my residence in the same premises, so why I will pay that type of over shifting charges? Coz I have paid Rs. 1900.00 for renewal for six month & now I pay Rs.1000.00 for shifting charges ? is it convincible?. Sir, It will be better that, please cancel my recent renewal & return back my money.

              Sir, please reply me as early as possible coz I could not connect with my on-line stock market from last one week due to connection shifting controversy.

                My name is Tarun Kumar and my hathway a/c number iwas 208801 ( mumbai user). while taking the connection i had given the security deposit of Rs 1000. It was told that once i disconnect my services and return back the hardware my security deposit will be returned back. I used the service for more than 7-8 months and since i was moving out of city, i disconnected my service and returned back all the hardwares. I discontinued with their services in may 08 and its aug 08 but im yet to receive my security deposit. I've followed all the necessary administrative procedure regarding security deposit return. Ive called the call centre and concerned authorities at least 25 times. But none of them are responding. So please do the needfull. Ill be really thankful for your support.
                I've lost the hope of recovering my security deposit ( Rs 1000). adding to that ive called them on numerous occassions, they accept the fact that i should receive my money but so far no action has been taken. Its really irritating and i feel helpless

                  This is Rahul Joshi, I am from pune. Karve Nagar. I had taken hathway internet service and took a 256 kb/sec connection. I started facing problem and i called customer care. But see the drama, of how things work.
                  -- When you call your complaint is taken
                  -- Engineer visits and takes photos of speed by starting 2 downloads from download.com website and send it to someone.
                  -- Rest, you keep thinking.

                  I sent emails to Sachin Dhumal, many times with photos from day and night. There were many request timed out and he said.. some are ok. The connection never got rectified. I am still getting 2 kb/sec. Everytime i call customer care they take a new complaint.

                  Please do not take hathway internet as they make fool. They do not understand business and customer service. It looks as if its a cyber cafe which has opened a internet service.

                  DO NOT GO FOR HATHWAY INTERNET.

I have had too many different connections...and believe me, Indicom...hell...Reliance is better than this. I plan to use Hathway as long as I dont have to pay...I can take care of the physical thing...End of the day, honesty and upmanship has to come both ways. It cant be a singlehanded effort...termites, surviving on corpse...Hathway.

                  For last 15 days I am facing speed problems. My Plan is 512 blaster. At night bet. 11 to 9 a.m. downloading is free. But only at that time speed is only 2-3 kbps which is rediculous.
                  I complained several times but issue is not yet solved. I renewed connection 3 times and thinking of discountining this useless service. Is there anybody which will take up my call? I live in Pune near Mehendale Garage & my customer ID is 209020

                  The worst part is after being a fool to have used Hathway for months together, I now want to surrender, but little did I know that they don't respond to termination mails too :-)

                  1. Bangalore#[protected] does not respond properly to your requests. In times of need, they do not pick up. Even if they do, they will "get back to you", which is nothing but "getting back at you" for having chosen them!
                  2. http://www.hathway.com/Digital/DigitalNodalOfficer provides nodal officer number and no prizes for guessing, the mobile is switched off.
                  3. There is no response from [protected]@hathway.net in spite of my two days of pleading for urgency.
                  4. http://www.hathway.com/Digital/PDF/ConsumerCharter is a consumer charter on their website with numbers to contact. And yes, there was a response from the bangalore desk. But tarry a bit, they gave me another number of "Head Office" - [protected] at Ulsoor to call. And yeah, the phone rang and someone disconnected it.

                  Thats the wonderful story.

                  Anyone else with a solution to this problem, please advise.

                    I have renewed my Hathway internet account on 29 June 2008. This time i have opted for the better plan than my previous one. But hathway has continued the old plan only. I have complaint about it in their call centers, their helpdesk email address and the top of it i have been to Hathway branch of kandivali(east), Mumbai for 2 times personally. Every time i am assured that this will be done in half n hr but it has not. It is now more than 20 days since i have complaint. Hathway, here has provided a perfect example of ridiculous service. My account number is 86356.

                    I strongly agree with Amish.As my experience is same as Amish.
                    HATHWAY is the worst Service provider.

                    Its been 3 days my connection is completely dead.Even after complaining 2-3 times, nothing improved.
                    Last complaint number is 1670326 dated 22/07/2008.(called many times after this date also)

                    Sorry to say but I am so unhappy with service by Hathway.Though I am using Hathway since last 6 months, I was never happy with speed I was promised and with connectivity.Its dead alomost major time.
                    Also when I call on Helpline number 67134630, rarely I get anyone there.Atleast have to be on hold for 20-25 minutes.
                    I feel so sad and frustrated with the kind of service offered by HATHWAY.

                      We paid Rs 2359 around 5 th June to Hathway representative Mr Manohar, on the assurance that the Hathway would install internet connectivity at my residence in 3 days time. Till date there is no response from them.

                      In the order form it was provided two contact numbers namely Mr Abhijit ( [protected] )/ Manohar[protected], and both are not taking calls at all. In the meantime, we have been given a number of a director of customer operations ( [protected] ), and he did not bother to pick up our repeated calls. Just 15 days back we received a call on a sunday that their personnel would be visiting us for installation and we waited for the whole day, none turned up.

                      I feel that the Hathway is just fooling round with the public money in hename of sppedy internet connection and I would like your interference

                          Dear sir,
                          Myself Tejas chaudhari from bhandup [w] would like to bring to your notice that m a regular customer of Hathway from the past 3 yrs. and using the Thruway 64 Plan. for which m paying 3, 000 rs. half yearly...

                          Now when i recharged this plan again 2 mnths back THERE WAS NO INTIMATION FROM HATHWAY REG NEW PLANS HAVE COME, as a result of which m paying the same 3, 000 rs half-yearly for 64kbps...Whereas they r now selling 128 kbps connection for 450 rs/month which comes to approx...2700+taxes...

                          Now they say tht m a prepaid customer and so they wont be adjusting me in the new plan.
                          My plan is getting expired in the month of November 2008.

                          Kindly look into the matter please.

I have an internet connection by Hathway (Pawan Cable Ajay Enclave, Ashok Nagar, Near Aggarwal Sweet Corner). My user id is gaurav_shivi. They have very very worsed service. I am not satisfied with them. I already complaints in customer care no. 64085777 several times but in vain. I have complain to be again to Mr. Pankaj. He is the Technical Engineer in Hathway (West Zone). They lies to me to satisfy with there service. They lies again and get a check from me on friday. My account is in United Bank of India Fateh Nagar Branch, 5, Gopal Nagar, Fateh Nagar, New Delhi-110018. Check no. is 107213 A/c No. 79308 amount 4, 380/-. I wants to return my money back as regard in there poor, very poor service. They are unable to solve my problum permanently. They created many problums again and again. I wants to disconnected my connection permanently or i don't take this connection in my whole life. Please help me to return my money back to me. I will be very thankful to you.

                            I have an internet connection from Hathway at 40A/1 Shop No. 1 Ashok Nagar, P.O.Tilak Nagar, New Delhi-110018. My user id is gaurav_shivi. This is used in a Cyber Cafe. My package is 256 kbps and its download speed is 10-12 kbps. I have several complaints against poor download speed or poor browsing speed but in vain. They ignored all my complaints. I am very upset what can i do. Please help me to sort out my problum. I have one compensation of ten days of last month bcause i have faced this problum in last month. But from last week i faced the same problum. My internet speed is very poor or very worst. Please give me again seven days compensation or improve hathway's browsing speed or download speed because i am suffering again from seven days as speed is very slow and i am unable to attend my customers.                             My self Sunny Tailor and my login id is sunny83.I am your customer since December 2008 and just 3 months back I have renewed my account with your company but from last 3 months the level of connectivity is below the acceptable level. There were 7 Complained logged in January, 3 in February and already 7 complain logged in the recent days of March. After complains to your respective helpdesk I am not getting the permanent solution of my problem so At last I have no other option except Quit my account with your company. While renewal of my account the concern person has clearly committed that we will not charge any additional bugs in case of intermeade termination of Account but At the time of discontinuation request to your center I have get an feedback that company is not liable to pay a single bugs in post paid connection. So its needless to say there is no customer in this market who will scarifies his 10 pending months against 3 months of actual usage. My concern is only that Either you can provide me hassle free service or give me my remaining amount back without any additional deduction.

                            I had taken hathway broadband connection from this company.. firstly the driveers was not installed as there was no lan card... later when asked for money back.. they said to get in touch with marketing person..
                            Later when lan card was installed and follow up was done to instal net connection.. 3 request and complains are done.. but all ignored...

                            Such bad service for ppl who have paid money... its PATHETIC...

                            I dont except any wonders from this complain.. but i want other ppl to be aware before opting for such poor service ppl
                            I am also a subsriber of hathway broadway just 4 days back. From day one itself I am facing the connectivity problem. However, it seems that I am lucky as they have not deposited my cheque given to them. Applied for prepaid service. I am planning to make the stop payment for this very good reason.

                            I am really fed up with customer service by Hathway. They never response to any of the mail & their manager doesnt have time to take any escalation or customer call. This is toatally fraud company who doesnt care abot customer. I would suggest all guys who want to go with hatway for internaet connection that they are donating their money to the company & should no expect any service from this company.
                            I[censored] like getting irritated frequently, then Hathway is the best option.
                            I ve used a lot of broadband services in different cities, but never seen this kind of worst service. Customer care is just for name sake.They take complaints and forget about them.You have to keep calling and reminding them about yout complaint.It maight take a week or 2 to get your issue fixed temporarily. These ppl work fast only when you are taking a new connection and disappear.

                            i got hathway net connection last month i continuously calling to customer care and mailing hyd help desk not less than 200 mails but this mother [censored]ers not responding and after repeated calling one fine morning one lady called from help desk and asked why sir you asked for cancellation pl tell us the reason asked you with very innocent and sweet voice, as she don't now about my 200 mails. i subscribe for 6 months of 50mpbs speed hathway net and not even one hour they provide me one mpbs speed. if you u people suffering with BP or Sugar you will defiantly died with high blood pressure if you take the Hathway net connection if you don't have BP want it just get one hathway net connection the customer care and help desk people know how to raise your BP levels till your death finally don't ever try this filth and sleep soundly/

                            Complaint against Hathway Dealer - Sharp Video cables, nigdi, Pune. Customer Satisfaction ZERO. You need to call them 10-15 times to be able to communicate with them, only if you're having a great day your call will be picked up on very first try.. If you need to add channels to your pack, you need to visit the dealer, every month! Duh! C'mon once it is okay but everytime it is not possible. When asked them about this problem, the response was " What is the guarantee that customer will pay for it? " That is Lack of Trust in your customer!

                            We are using your hathway cable connection since 2 years and it's working just fine but from last year it's been worst than we ever imagine. We always get a technical problem issue once in week and whenever we try to contact our local operator they don't even answer the call. Luckily, if they answer the call, their answer remains same "The issue will resolve till 8:00 p.m." which is the closing time of their office. We don't get the service we deserve.                                 Dear Sir, I have been cheated by Hathway Internet with regards to my refundable modem deposit amount Rs.3000. I was an ex-customer (A/c 38903) of Hathway and during enrollment i paid Rs 3000 as refundable modem deposit which i haven't still received even after 18 months of service termination (Dec 2006) . I have all the relevant & official records of the payments made. Even there accounts department have the same payment information but the matter is unnecessarily delayed.

                                I hope that atleast this complaint reaches to the top authorities of Hathway and the matter is resolved quickly before i am forced to take legal actions against Hathway Internet.

                                Hathway Internet — Fraud bills posted by hathway internet

                                My name is Tushar Gharmalkar. I had a hathway internet connection, which i surrendered in April 2007, I am still receiving bills.
                                I call them on the numbers specified on the bill, it says "Please check the number dialed".

                                After i surrendered the hathway internet connection, i did not receive bills from April 2007 to June 2008.

                                But since July 2008, i have received 2 bill, where i am not a customer of Hathway internet anymore.

                                Hathway — modem

                                The give modem is not working. Because the given mac:001e6b1f99d2 is wrong. I have complained many times but no respond.

                                  What happened to all pay channels? vanished or what? explict content(**** ******** ************** ** ***** ********)explict content lot to say but dont want, they cheated valuable customers... quality means SCV. Eye totally galli means HATHWAY.
                                  one of the useless service is by hathway. I made a mistake by paying rs 3000/- for sert top box. one by one channels go on disappearing. French channel has stopped functioning and so is DW tV. BBC does not work.
                                  Hathway Mumbai no longer has Audio Language Selection and Synopsis is also not available. In most of the channels there is no display of current programs in electronic programme guide. Even when it is there, the name of the movie (as is the case with World Movies) is incorrect. BBC and many more channels have gone off their network.

                                  I also had made a mistake of paying them Rs. 3000 upfront. They are not ready to take the STB back or offer a refund. I have complained to them and am still complaining to them but nothing happens.

                                  Can I file a complaint in consumer forum for deficiency in service. Please reply me.

                                    Dear Consumer Forum,

                                    I undersigned customer of Hathway service bearing Cust no. 107556 want to make a complaint. My scheme is for 6 month and its prepaid. During the month of november and december 2007 my exam were going on and I had not renew the scheme and till that period my net was disconnected by hathway service. I called hathway person to come and collect the money and paid renew fee on 5th Jan 2008 and my A/c now got activated next day.i.e.6th Jan 2008.

                                    On 21st May, 2008 I got call from hathway service that my A/c is expiring on 30th May, 2008. I was bit confused that it was for 6 month and should end on 4th july, 2008.

                                    I immediately went to nearby hathway service with the bill (5th Jan, 2008) and ask about the problem. They (Praveen & other person) told me that they will make enquiry with head-department.

                                    I have a proof i.e. bill and also I can show that I have not used from 30/nov/07 to 5/jan/08 from the usage.(it was disconnected).

                                    I am prepaid account customer and if I have not renew my account the very next day my net is disconnected.

                                    The mistake is from hathway service.

                                    I request Consumer Forum to take some action against Hathway service.

                                      Hathway Broadband Services has taken more than 25 days for giving me the connection. Prior to me telling hem that its an urgent requirement.They gave no heed to my words. Moreover they kept telling they will provide the connection the following days. Nowadays the concerned person is also not answering the call.Really very bad service. However, i am not sure if they will refund my cheque of Rs 730/-, Pathetic Service provider.

                                      From Last 10 days i am following up Hathway Baroda people for connection, i have paid Amount Rs. 1854/- (Which include service Tax Also) for 6 month 6gb connection, at the time of submitting form and amount i have been told for 3-4 days connection time, but after 10 days also i have not got connection.

                                      Response of Baroda Team is Pathetic, they don't even talk with courtesy, every time they say it will take another 2 days, but still nothing has happended.When i tried to contact Nodal Officer, they refused to give my call to nodal officer.

                                      I am asking, then what the use of making nodal officers if customer is not being attended, just in shake of TRIA regulation, and why you people charge service tax, if non of your staff doesn't know about service, they know only making excuses and to play blame-game.

                                      My point is that whatever reason is for delaying in connection you should have not misguide customer, should have informed me that it will take more than 10 days, at that time i would have decide whether i have to take connection or not, as it was needed urgently for my official work.I would have decided to look after any another provider who can give connection faster. But Hathway have cheated me by saying, i will get connection in 3-4 days.

                                      Sir, Please don't consider customer as taken for granted.

                                      Please inform me what caused Hathway Baroda Team to delay connection and by when i will get connection.

                                        It was very sad for us that we are not getting proper service and we cannot trust them even after paying money. Incident was happened with me actually I canceled the broad band service one and half months back and waiting for my deposit money. Few days back I went to the same office and complain that I haven’t receive my deposit money the lady was told me that you will received money within 2 days but still I didn’t got.

                                        When today I went again to the same office the lady contacted to the account department and gave the phone to me speak to the person in account department. Gay on the phone was talking without any manner not at all any professionalism they are saying come here and collect the check and I told please courier it and then I told him Why it is taking this much time? That gay is saying just today I come to know about your refund and secondly, I’m talking with you first time and saying why you didn’t contact to account department. I said I contacted to your customer service (office staff near to my home) not to Account Department. After that I fed up with that conversion and I threw the phone.

                                        The Manager (of particular Hathway Broadband office)does know how to talk with the customer even he is angry that guy push me out side the office and other staff member covered me just like they are fighting with me.

                                        This is the professionalism we got the company like Hathway. I’ was the one of the older customer to the Hathway broadband as well as cable. Now I canceled the both services from such a unprofessional company like Hathway.
