Terrible service by Make my trip.com. I have been following up for almost a year now, then I gave up. Its a simple issue. I had booked a Goa trip on my HSBC or Kotal credit card through them a year back and I was promised a 5% cash back on the payment that I had ode made for about 55, 000. Then the guy told me that he had put a wrong code, I should separately call back and I will get the money credited. From then multiple calls, emails, tweet to the CEO, nothing has worked... they seem cruel in dealing with such a simple issue. Probably not important for them.     I have booked a flight ticket with makemytrip MakeMyTrip Booking ID: FLT[protected] Lucknow - Jammu | Travel Date: Thu, 10 Jun' 10 I got a sms from airline that due to some reason this flight is cancelled at airline end then I talk to MakemyTrip Executive about the scenario, Executive confirmed that the flight is cancelled. Then Executive suggested me to you can canceled your ticket and your all money will be revert back to your account without any Cancellation Penalty so i asked him for the same. But after cancellation by the executive, MakeMytrip opposed me Cancellation Penalty of INR 1500, While my whole money should be reverted back because flight is not cancelled by me . For this Issue I talked to hundreds of Makemytrip Executive they were not give any satisfactory answer except they escalate the issue, after many escalation this issue is still open This is Normal scenario for a travel domain provider so why no provision for this issue. Then how Makemytrip can say publically that it is no 1 travel site in India. after 3 years of talking to Executives, still i have not got my money.       Hi, I have booked 5 tickets from Jammu to Delhi (booking id NF[protected] on 31st Aug'13, later on i have canceled 2 tickets out of 5 on 7th Sep'13. But when refund received at my account I have checked that only one ticket amount received after all their deduction (1000 airline charge + 250 make my trip charge). I have complained several times to customer service by mails as well on calls but every time received single reply "WE WILL REVERT YOU IN 2-3 WORKING DAYS" but that day never came. This is not about the money anymore, I am ready to put written complaint in Indian consumer court. I just want to teach a good lesson to them "what is customer service?" Rgds Sujib Dey

        Flight for HYD PONDY under PNR V3WRXI was cancelled by airline. Spicejet has already processed an amount of Rs 4592 towards refund to MMT, however same has not been credited to my account. The online status of the booking id NF[protected] on make my trip site shows as " No refund due". Have been following up for last 7 days with MMT; however there is no response from them.

          I booked return tickets for my family of 6 from Mumbai to Jaipur travel commencing on 16th November, 2013 and returning on 18th November, 2013. I cancelled one ticket for Mr. Kunal Dalmia for the 18th November from Jaipur to Mumbai through the phone application. When I checked my email, I got a notification that ticket for Mr. Ajay Dalmia was cancelled. When I check my phone application, it is correctly showing that ticket was indeed cancelled for Mr. Kunal. I have lodged complaint with makemytrip and the response I have got is "the cancellation done for passenger Ajay Dalmia so accordingly cancellation done in system" I have attached screenshot from my phone app. Please help otherwise I will have to bear the cost of booking a new ticket for Mr. Ajay Dalmia and the price of the tickets have increased manifold since I made the original booking.             I Booked a Bus ticket on 15th Aug 2013 . Mistakenly I selected current date and booked ticket but after confirmation page I got to know about wrong day booking so requested to customer care to cancel my ticket. Person who attended my call told me that we can't provide any alternative day ticket but we can cancel and remaining (50%) amount will be credited in your account within 3 working days. after 2 days I called them again but they told me now we can't cancel ticket as date has been passed but my concern was - I already requested for cancellation and now instead of my remaining amount you are suggesting me to cancel ticket before journey date. I already communicated to them on same day when I booked the ticket. They suggested me to register complaint but even after I didn't back any update till last month.Please help if you can do anything for me.

              I have booked a hotel in Puri through Make my trip on Dt 5th Oct 2013. I have booked his amount through my SBI internate booking. The amount has been debited from my account. But my booking could not confirmed as informed by make my trip as money has not been transferred by my SBI. I also lodge a complaint a complaint in SBI and came to know that the money has transferred to make my trip by SBI on Dt 13th Oct where make my trip is denying the fact.                 I had the worst experience with MakeMyTrip. I made a hotel booking on 7th Oct and it was confirmed. But 3 days before my trip, I spoke to the hotel people and they said they never received any booking confirmation from MakeMyTrip. So then, when I spoke to MakeMyTrip, I was told that the hotel is sold out and they are arranging alternate accommodation. Had I not called the hotel myself, I would have never realized that MakeMyTrip has not transferred my booking confirmation to the hotel and it would have been a disaster if I had reached the hotel per my schedule. I spent more than 9 hrs on phone talking to MakeMyTrip customer care to resolve this issue and it was extremely bitter experience. I would always get transferred to some extension and my call would get disconnected. Why did MakeMyTrip book my reservation and also made me pay full payment upfront. I was told that the booking is confirmed. However, they did not pass on the booking details to respective hotel. And later I was told that the hotel is sold out for given date. How the hell I was told that there is plenty of place at the time of booking and also made me pay the full payment and later the hotel went sold out ?? I really don’t understand what is the booking policy of MakeMyTrip. It seems that MakeMyTrip doesn’t even bother checking for room availability while making a booking. They blindly do the booking and later say that we are arranging alternate accommodation. And the customer is left burning. Besides, the alternate accommodation that I was offered was cheaper than what I had booked an and the person on the phone (Ishaan) was talking to me as if they are doing a favor to me by arranging alternate accommodation. This whole ordeal could have been avoided. I booked my ticket on the phone with MakeMyTrip employee Ishteyaque Alam (Ishteyaque.[protected]@makemytrip.com). I asked him 3-4 times on the phone whether rooms are available and he said there are 3 room available and he forced me to book it on the phone and told me that don’t book online. Ishteyaque lied to me on the phone. I listened to him and did the booking and then how 3 days down the line hotel was sold out and my booking was no good? Ishteyaque.[protected]@makemytrip.com << this guy led to entire disaster with I canceling my booking as MakeMyTrip was just freaking useless in handling customer. Sick customer service. I was always promised a callback in 10 minutes and no one would ever call me back even after 12 hrs. Below is the list of people I spoke to during this ordeal and they were all bluffing: Ishteyaque Alam (x3579) Rajeev Sharma (x3840) Sachin (3877) Raghvendra Shinoy (+91 [protected]) Ishaan (+91 [protected]) And all of above folks were just trying to get rid of me on the phone. I had to cancel my booking finally as there was no confirm word from MakeMyTrip was given. I really want people like Ishteyaque Alam be taught not to lie on the phone. This is a serious misbehavior being in service industry. He is the one who started this whole issue. He could have told me on phone that the hotel is sold out and I would have looked other places. The end result is I had to cancel my long weekend plans which I had been looking forward to for more than 2 months. There was no mistake of mine but MakeMyTrip’s pathetic service screwed my long weekend plan. This is my bookingID: IN1310B1S041173 ..and I am still waiting for the refund. -Dheeraj.

                  no refund given by make my trip, the gizmo shown on portal are only to attract and make money by looting innocent people. Sir, I have booked a tour to Dubai online NL[protected]. I have paid rs. 5000/-14329/-19329/-=38658/- being single >>>. where the cost for two was 27000/- per person twin sharing basis . ok After landing at dubai, the services shown on portal was not served on me. After coming home I lodged the following complaint: sorry to say i have no words to explain the experience at Dubai as there no coordination from make my trip. i landed at airport where i contacted the travel agency and show the doc they transfer me at hotel very good, next day no one turn at hotel to carry me for sightseeing as per itenary, i contacted the the person mentioned in hotel voucher but no response from other end. i also try to contact u but same fate . i have hired a taxi for sight seeing . next day a mini bus came to carry other passengers i request him that i m also from make my trip he straightly refused saying sir, you are not booked and not in my list sorry i can not carry u. then again i hired a taxi and went to Dhow cruise and back to hotel, the third day 12 noon i check out hotel and put my luggage in clock room and went for shopping in the evening make my trip transporter came and transfer me at airport. i still thinking what kind of package is it? i think you have booked airlines tickets, hotel and transfer from hotel not sight seeing transport. i pay more then the package to make my trip for this kind of service. i have earlier travel to Bangkok Thailand via make my trip, and book hotel many times and trusted, admire it, recommend it to my friends for its quality services. kindly enquire your Dubai executive and refund my money immediately. the same fate is also experienced by two others who are ladies in the same hotel. one from Mumbai and other krisma sharma from Delhi . regards, with no thanks, s r vashista [protected] Now paying rs. 38659/- this kind of reply is not accepted. So management is requested to go through the episode and refund my all money if company is caring of its customers in its real meaning. This is deficiency in services, this is the money for which desired services are not provided as show on the portal. The staff is saving its skin for carelessness by blaming the customer by making stupid reply.                     I wanted to cancel my flight and tried calling make my trip call centre to cancel my tickets but after calling 5 times and holding the phone for 30 minutes each time the phone gets disconnected automatically and i couldnt get through the call centre operator. i finally had to give up, due to which i couldnt cancel the ticket on time and lost my entire money.
                    This is pathetic service, and company should be banned from providing services and if they cannot service the customers as required and promised in their marketing, websites and other advertisements.
                    I urge all customers to book directly with airlines rather than booking through useless company like make my trip with pathetic service. The company should use funds to provide customer service rather then advertisements.

                      I booked a package from makemytrip for kerala for 2 person my booking id is IN1310B1S009161. They said me they will include a 3* stay and a houseboat stay for a night.Now after taking my booking amount they are saying they will not be able to give me the houseboat stay and they are not providing me details of the hotels and rooms they will provide for stay. Please look into this issue and help if its possible to get what they commited.

                        I was going to Bangalore for 2 days for some of my works. As it was an instant program and my budget was not that high I could not book a good quality hotel. So I have done my reservation through makemytrip.com on the same date when I was travelling (MakeMyTrip Booking ID - NH[protected], Booking Date - Wed, 21 August 13). Based on the reviews at the website I booked Hotel Comfort for 2 nights. The reviews made me fool. I traveled from Chennai and reached there at around 8:30 pm. Room was given at the 3rd floor (Room No # 307). I used the lift to reach my room. I went out from the lift at 3rd floor and found the bed sheets dumped at the corner of the corridor where a rat was running from one side to other. Entered inside the room and found a bad smell, floor was dirty, room is not maintained (trying to attach photo). I stayed there for 2 nights but could not use WiFi connection as it was not working (but it is complimentary with rooms, as per MakeMyTrip.com). On 2nd day I ordered coffee, after 1.5 hour it was delivered after 2 reminder call. But still the reviews says that it is excellent, worth staying in this hotel. I don't know how people recommend such kind of hotels. I have tried several time to write the facts using the reviews, but it never published. I personally think that most of these are fake reviews (I have couple of pictures and videos of the room, which was allotted to me, which will proof that the previous reviews are fake).

                          Hi My name is Biswaranjan Samal. I have booked a bus tickect on make my trip on on 06/09/2013, from Pune -Bangalore, i could not able to cath the bus because of misguided by Bus operator(VRL travels), i missed the bus and the very next day i had a interview AT Bangalore, it was very important for me, when i registered a complaint at Make my trip website on 07/09/2013, i was assured that i will get a resolution in couple of days, but it is 20 days over till now no feedback..i called to customer care there are useless, please give me a solution.

                            We have booked a Hotel looking at the photos on the Website at Makemytrip. We have paid 6831 INR. The location was Mahabaleswar. We were having very limited time to spend with family at Mahabaleswar. We have reached hotel and it was completely pathetic, the environment was completely dirty, the rain water was directly coming up to Bed, The Garden, Entrance was completely opposite which was shown on the website. Then I have requested hotel that this is not which was shown on website. He was very rude & not ready to even talk (I was requesting him as I had already paid for my rooms). The manager was fighting with some beggar & his employees were fighting like anything. Then I have called Makemytrip & requested to help me. Make my trip was not ready to understand the situation; we (me and 5 adults & 3 kids) have spent 2 hours fighting on call where Rain was falling. After 2 hours of call & explaining the situation I have requested the Makemytrip person to escalate the call to Floor manager of Makemytrip, after more than 30 min of struggle I have again explained the same case to manager & he understood the same. He suggested us not to check in & leave the hotel, and then book another hotel & given assurance that Makemytrip will process for 100 % refund. We agreed with the manager & started searching for another hotel. As it was raining, our condition was worst. We spent more 2-3 hours to search for a good hotel & finally got one which was out of our budget, as it was hard time, we took decision and selected the same. Later we got a call from Makemytrip that they cannot process for refund as it is their strict policy which says not to refund on cancellation. Then I have asked again that why they have committed at that time for refund. They took some more days & reverted to me that they are ready to refund for one room!!!!! This is completely wrong & I am still fighting with them to solve this however Makemytrip is completely with hotel & doesn’t help me with hotel. We have spent 30-40 thousand rupees per family(We were total 3 families), travelled all the way from Kutch to Mahabaleswar & didn’t got time to enjoy, We were just fighting for the rooms & hotel for entire day & were required to leave next day morning as the schedule was very tight. I would request you to please get involved & help us for the Justice.

                                Dear Sir, I booked four tickets in the month of September 2012 for King fisher airlines. Airline became in operative and I am still waiting for my refund. I use to call your customer care frequently, made on line complaints but result is NIL. I called up today also and after calling one of the ticket status is showing cancelled where as status for rest three tickets are CONFIRMED. Following are the details.                                   One of My friend booked his Honey moon trip from Delhi to Manali for 3 Nights 4 days. he started on 14th of September by booked Volvo of MANALI MAIL. Unfortunatly bus was accident near Karnal and result 5 passanges dead and my friend rished back to home. I had requestred for full refund and compensation to my friend. Mr. Vikas Yadav who booked the package told me that it is not possible, cause they had paid to Hotel at manali. Bus operator assured my friend to full refund of both side fare through Make My trip. But Make my trip playing the game with their cunsmers. When they booked for a trip it is covered by insurance.co. than why they are denied to pay in genuine case. Bhupendra Chopra

                                    Please provide as much information as possible... Hi, I had availed one of the makemytrip packages for Kerala two weeks ago and have been writing to their customer care section (Booking ID : IN1308B8S105600) to get an issue resolved. I had taken a 2 nights in Allepey, 2 nights in Munnar package. They charged a total of 14500 and claimed to arrange for the best close to 3 start accommodation. 1. I reach Allepey, and the accommodation is a budget hotel which did not have a restaurant of it's own. On calling makemytrip customer care, they say that it was never claimed the hotel will have a restaurant. They said they are charging me 2k for the room where as when I checked the room charges were 1200. The hotel authorities agreed to cook for us if we gave them a prior notice of 2-3 hrs. 2. It took me an entire day to get through the customer service to get this issue resolved. The calls were initially answered, however after after a point they refused to answer my calls. They kept saying they will get back to me but never did. I finally get a call sometime in the night saying the room will be upgraded. I asked them to move us immediately to the Munnar location and they agreed to do so next day. 3. Cab driver was not provided his fuel amount. He borrowed this from us. 4. Makemytrip claimed the cab would be with us all the time however the driver informed us that his work timings are from 8-6 and post that we can avail the cab only for emergencies. This was not informed to us by makemytrip. 5. We reached Munnar the next day, however had to leave the very next day due to an emergency. We informed the hotel authorities and they agreed to pay us back the entire amount for the remaining two days. Makemytrip agreed as well and they refund me 2000? When contacted they said it was a calculation miss and they would refund 4000. They are paying me back only 27% where the rooms were used only for two days and taxi was used only for pick up from Kovalam, drop to Cochi and in-between sightseeing just once. On questioning they claim taxi charges were 8500 which cannot be refunded and I am not even given a clear split of the entire package. Its been two weeks now and I still haven't got a response.                                       PATHETIC CANCELLATION POLICIES OF MAKE MY TRIP This complain is regarding hotel booking done through MAKE MY TRIP.com. I booked 3 rooms with 6 adults and 3 children in hotel CJ international, AMRITSAR. The check in was suppose to be done 8th of September,2013 ? 12 PM and the check out on 9th of September, 2013 12PM . On the 6th of September i called the customer care department for the cancellation in the morning. The customer care department said they cannot refund the amount. The total amount was of Rs.5292.                                       my name is Paresh Chauhan from Ahmadabad.

                                      i book a My International Flight Ticket with online MakeMyTrip.com Booking id NN[protected] and Flight is Air Seychelles Schedule on 03 Feb 2015 to 01 March 2015 Return ticket from Dar Es Salaam to Mumbai and Mumbai to Dar Es Salaam

                                      i am successfully on board travel at Dar es Salaam to Mumbai on 03 Feb 2015 but i miss my flight on 01 march 2015 from Mumbai to Dar Es Salaam
                                      and that day i was complaint on Make My Trip for rescheduling my Travel and that time they ignor me for the same and tell me wait for 72 hours but after many days there is no any action no any reply i again and again call to make my trip customer care but always they told me like that please wait for 72 hours and then after 20 days i visit the Make my trip office for the solution but also they told me we can&#039;t help you should call to customer care.

                                      my all days delay everyday i faced the new problem and everyday i miss my work and job and my salary my reputation at job is very bad
                                      and then i told to customer car you do it or just tell me yes or no again they refuse me and don&#039;t give any answer and then i decide to book another ticket and just go
                                      this make my trip guys make me fool and cheat me and play with my time and emotion and wasted my time, money, everything

                                      after all things they told me this ticket is non-refundable but we can refund to which is Service tax and other tax so it will be approximately 8000 to 10000 give us time to talk with airline
                                      again and again i call customer care but don&#039;t get any result from Make My Trip
                                      i am frustrated with this guys to getting my problem solve out
                                      and now from the 20 april 2015 they told me like that

                                      With reference to your Booking id NN[protected], we apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

                                      We would like to inform you that we have escalated this concern to our specialized team to validate the records and the response is awaited. We request you to kindly cooperate with us and we ensure to get back to you within 72 working hours to share the status with you.

                                      today is 01 June 2015 but no any result they still told me like that and want another 72 hours in every mail

                                      Now tell what can i do ???

                                        Please I was booking a flight mum-rpr for 6th sep but payment debited from bank and in booking section ticket is not showing so I called your customer care but no use after calling 5 - 8 times I can't reach the customer executive in the mean time a call came from make my trip and he told you are booking a ticket so for any help call our customer care (Supposing we don't know whome to call while booking online ticket.) anyway after frustation of not getting connected to customer care after repeated try (sometime call forwarding bouncing the call to one executive to another) I made my booking from YATRA.COM very smoothly. There executive called me and guided me till my booking is done. Look in to the matter and hope you will review your process to get early and proper response to customer. for trial you yourself try to book a ticket on yatra.com and see the difference. moreover try once to call your customer support and another time yatra customer support. provide as much information as possible...
