Have had a data connection postpaid taken at idea showroom in ambattur ot, mounasamy madam street. I had asked to migrate from postpaid to prepaid. The consultant that time was a ms. Jasmin. She told me it can be done and asked to return ten days later. This was around the 5th of october 2017. I paid all pro rata bills and whatever prescribed fees that needed to be paid. I was also given a prepaid sim, and was told that the postpaid account will be migrated. Taking that as a word of honour from the showroom representing the reputable idea brand. Anyways, i return a month later to find that the account had not been migrated and i had an outstanding bill to pay. When asked where the staff is who helped me, i was told that she no longer worked there and they cannot migrate the account and i am liable to pay the outstanding bill. My data services has been in non-usage, and i queried as to why i should pay for a service i had not received and secondly how can a consultant not follow on their work professionally, as idea is a reputed national brand.
I was told they will look into the matter. I went back again twice in november, and now the amount included another outstanding amount. I was told that this matter is being investigated.in december i receive another bill. I then insisted on speaking to the store owner. I was told they are too busy and they would not be able to chat with me. I then went to the ambattur branch near the canara bank. I was told that this account could have been easily closed and they cannot understand what happened, hence i should go back to the ambattur ot branch.
Once again i am back at the ambattur showroom, and i refused to leave till i speak to someone who is in charge. After an hour and a half of waiting, i spoke to a lady named priya who gave me her word that this will be sorted out. At the last week of december, i went again and was told that this issue is been investigated and it will be closed.
Now we are in january 2018, and i am now billed again. On principle why should i be liable for poor tardy work of people who represent your brand.
Secondly why are they dragging their feet to attend to my simple request, which does not need rocket science intelligence to comply with.
Thirdly surely, there should be uniformed procedures and the staff cannot hold the well meaning customer at ransome.
Finally, i humbly request if you can help me resolve this as i do not want to be branded a debtor as well as have this unnecessary burden upon me.
I do anticipate your response timeously, and hoping that i do not escalate this matter to the national office as well as to the telecommunications public concerns ombudsman.
