Hi, I did domestic hotel booking on 31st October On Mobile app. 3 times money was debited from my account but there was no booking done. I got message from Makemytrip that the money will be refunded with 3 to 7 days. When i called to customer care to ask why my booking was cancelled they its there technical fault and most bookings where cancelled on 31st oct. It has been 21 days now not even a single booking amount has been refunded. I had been calling again and again to your customer care but there is no help. My husband has been to the Makemytrip office many time they are say same line with 3 days it ll be refunded. It a horrible experience i m facing of poor customer care service. You guys are fooling me by give extended dates. I want you refund me ASAP and solve this issue. In my recent conversation with your customer care person, said me to provided the bank statement of 31st oct, to see whether the transaction was done. Even after sending the bank statement, there is no call from makemytrip. Given below are the complaint ID and Booking no.     At the initial of trip the hotel was not confirmed so we had to take the pain in getting it confirmed via agent of makemytrip.com which lasted for 1hour & at the end of trip there was neither any appointed car vehicle to pick us up from airport nor the unavailability of the car vehicle was informed beforehand though the car rent was already paid at the very initial & the rest of the service rendered at our disposal was just satisfactory.

      Hi,

      I attempted to book a spicejet flight on 27th October 15 where I used Rs.1700/- from makemytrip wallet and the remaining balance i.e. Rs.4136/- was paid using my SBI Credit card.(Transaction id is given in subject line)

      The transaction failed and the funds are not refunded neither in my wallet(Rs.1700) nor in my SBI crebit card(Rs.4136).

      I had received a message saying money will be refunded in 3 working days.

      This is in reference to your complaint and as per our discussion, we have validated your case at our end and found that your total amount of Inr 5836/-was debited on 27-Oct-15 but the booking was not confirmed with us. Please be informed that we will initiated the refund of Inr 1700/- in your Wallet account and balance refund of Inr 4136/- in your bank account by tomorrow i.e. on 21-Nov-15 and same should reflect in your account account within 2-3 working days as per your bank processing cycle.

        Hello
        Yesterday I did round trip rail booking through make my trip app.
        When I was making booking there is option come fill the passengers details like name, gender, age etc...
        I filled the name first then asked me fill the age of passengers for that need to scroll down the age option n numeric will come but once I scroll down the age option only 11 showing rather then 11 to 100.
        I escape the age option bcoz I didn't find my age 35 in scroll down option but after escape/quit option, I was unable to process my booking there was a pop up window showing that first fill the age that time I was not having any option so I choose age 11 or booking has been generated by the name of child but my age is 35.
        If I will journey on this booking it will be crime or reject by railway dept so yesterday I called to customer care of make my trip they told me your request for amendment taken n u will get your query resolve in 24 hour.
        They didn't gave me my complaint no & when I asked the customer care executive to connect me your senior person to talk to this matter then he put me hold 45mnt n disconnect the my call.
        Today again I called customer care to asked my complaint status then he told me we don't have ur complaint no & again he give me today another complaint no, again asked him connect me to concerned person who will take care my query so he put me hold 30 mnt n disconnect the call.

        During my complaint process if the train seat booked fully then how will I or u do amendment n make fresh booking.

        Its make my trip app technical error so give me fresh booking or do my ticket amendment.

        For ur info I have attached the e-ticket for your ref.

        My Delhi to dehradun booking is confirmed but return booking is not confirm bcoz its showing child.

        Resolve my complaint asap before train booked full.

        I have taken a screen short of age scroll down if my complaint not taking care I will go legally n upload the whole story on Facebook/Twitter/You tube whatever social site.

        A wanting ur revert soon.

          I had done booking of two flight tickets on 11th nov . Booking I'd is NF[protected] for amount of 7528 . But when I saw my credit card statement, I was charged twice for the same booking . For the same passengers, on the same flight on the same day another I'd was created, NF[protected] . At the website of make my trip, this I'd is showing as unsuccessful . But payment for the same amount was deducted at the same time as the first payment . I have written repeatedly for past week to the mail I'd provided by company but I have received no revert . Request your assistance in getting my refund on priority .

            I had book flight ticket from patna to pune via delhi on 5th oct.Date of journey was 8th Dec'2015.Same day i had to cancel the ticket, after cancellation i got a mail from MMT that they have received the request for cancellation for booking ID NF[protected] & the refund will be processed in 5 working days.But the refund was not made .
            so i called & mailed them on 22nd oct for the issue, to which they replied that there was some processing end from their end & the amount will be refunded by 28th oct.But still no progress.
            After so many follow up & mail, on 9th nov they replied that the ticket for DELHI to PUNE sector is not yet cancelled .So it is your fault .They asked me to cancel the ticket first and then the refund for both PATNA-DELHI & DELHI-PUNE will be done.
            I did as per them & cancelled the ticket on 9th nov.
            On 10th i got a call from MMT Representative that both the ticket is cancelled and i will be getting the refund in next 3 days.
            Still no progess was there.
            On 16th nov, got a mail from them that the refund process is delayed and i will be getting the refund by 19th nov.

            And now 19th nov also over.
            I escalated the problem to step 3 on their website but every time they reverse it to step 2 such that the issue should not reach to management.
            I really feel like shouting at them and using bad words on them .

            After following up for 45 days, i feel like helpless and there is no support from MMT at all.
            They are just cheaters and have worst customer support.I Dont even know if i will get my money back or not.

            After so many follow ups, mails, telephonic conversation i got my money back after 1 month 25 days..Was not expecting this kind of customer support from Shamelessly they replied same thing every time that the amount will be refunded in 3 days.and again same mail after 3 days. To all people who's refund is not processed for many days, why dont we ask for interest of the money for the period they kept the money with them. I doubt it is a system failure or mistake by MMT in late refund of money.I think it is done purposefully to earn interest on customer money.

              I tried to book a ticket from ahmedasbad to indore. And during payment I selected myWallet but it is showing empty. I have 500 rs. in myWallet I am not able to use it. I need only bus ticket booking. I don ever need to book hotel or flight. So please look in this matter as soon as possible.

                There is no one for listening earlier makemytrip people cancel my booking NH[protected] by their own decision and refund me where non refundable policy applied in cancellation its all done because cancellation done from their side. Earlier I have been checked in a hotel booking ID-NH[protected] faced problems-called to MakeMyTrip people-promised me for satisfactory revert but revert came-no one listened I had to checked out hotel in 2hrs.No action was taken no refund provided no complaint proceed against my appeals. This time I do not want more hotel services experience with MakeMyTrip.And want to cancel my bookings whereas hotels are ready to cancel booking with full refund also given confirmation on mail.                   I have been told to use HDFCHOLIDAY code to use this offer. first they said this code is not right then when I provided the attachment which was forwarded to me they said you had not applied it. There was no apply button and had confirmed it with the booking adviser who advised me to just mention the code and it automatically gets applied. This is not the right way to attract buyers. pathetic experience ever

                    I had cancelled my ticket and want to book another ticket today but when I called makemytrip customer care they told i will get my money in 3 days. I dont want my money to be in the wallet since I cannot transfer the money to my account from wallet. This is very bad. Atleast there should be an option provided to transfer money from wallet.                       I had booked round trip flight tickets on Make my trip website and spent 10000 bucks for it. However for some reason I had to cancel my return journey on 3rd nov. The cancellation fee of 2698 rs was deducted and refund of 1268 was mentioned. I was given the option of having the amount credited to my bank or my MMT wallet. I opted for the latter. I also got an SMS that the amount will reflect in your wallet in 3 working days. Since then I Kept waiting and when my patience wore thin I called customer care a number of times but they kept saying you will get back your money in 24 hours and so on. I also raised a complaint on their website but kept reverting by saying the issue will be resolved in 72 working hours. Still till date no revert from them yet. customer care they have. Totally pathetic.

                        Booking ID NH[protected]. Dated 23/24 th Oct 2015

                        MMT confirmed my booking at Hotel Riveredge Paradise Resort for Rs 4750/- for one day. But later they did not confirm the same. Rs 4750 was paid to them.

                        They asked me to call up the owner of the resort and book myself. they also provided me his no. I did the same and got the booking confirmed.

                        MMT sent me mail saying the amount paid to them will be refunded and the EXTRA amount that would be piad at Hotel will also be refunded which was Rs 2750/- . ( total bill was 7500/- )

                        Now there is absolutely no response from Make my trip for the refund . They are cheating people with FALSE commitments and misguiding everyone .

                        DO NOT EVER BOOK by MMT .

                        They are cheaters and non trust worthy. Mr Nikunj Toliya had sent me mail stating the same but never fulfilled the refund promise. Just imagine - they cheat by mail too - in WRITING !!

                        Such companies should be closed immediately ...

                          “10% of Package Cost or INR 10000 whichever is higher at date of booking”

                          This means that if you raise the cancellation on the same date of booking only then 10% of Package Cost or INR 10000 whichever is higher would have been charged as a deduction. Now in your case as you have raised cancellation on 13th November hence ideally you are not eligible for any refund on your booking at all. Now as a one time exception we have initiated a refund for INR 55700/-, hence now as per terms and conditions advised earlier no refund would be possible on your booking now.
                          Would request you to kindly refer the terms & conditions details once again for more clarity.

                            Also if you could check General Hotel Policy where we have mentioned that changes would be possible depending on the Hotel Discretion which we advised you after cross checking with them that it is not possible on your booking. Hence apologize as we will not be able to Hon our your case further.

                            -- The cancellation/modification charges are standard and any waiver is on the Hotel's Discretion.

                              i have booked a flight ticket on 2nd nov 2015 for hyderabd to tirupathi & tirupathi to hyderabad, travel date 3rd nov 2015. I have received a booking confirmation and my money rs. 5890/- paid through online from hdfc bank account. When i checked my email i did not receive e-ticket and tried to talk to customer care numbers many times but they responded twice my booking is not done and i will be refunded the full money. Till date i have not received full money. My booking id nf[protected].

                              In refernce to your complaint, we have validated your case with the concerned team and found that on 2-Nov-15 an amount of Inr 5890/- was deducted from your account but the booking did not get confirmed. As checked initially a refund refund of Inr 2280/- was processed from our end on 7-Nov-15 and we have initiated the balance refund of Inr 3610/- on 17-Nov-15 towards the original form of payment i.e. your HDFC bank account. The same should now be reflecting in your account.

                                I have used recently launched makemytrip app on mobile. Tried booking return ticket Del- Kochi-Del for March 2016. It was showing total amount of Rs. 24, 000/- only and when I went ahead with the booking on the Makemytrip App and entered my credit card detail it suddenly appeared Rs. 53, 000/- and before I could terminate the transaction, it completed the transaction. (NF[protected] I have lodged complain with MakeMyTrip.com stating my experience o[censored]sing the app, which lead to confusion and hence overcharging. After a week and standard reply came from company stating "Our software was fine and we can't help you". Please note, this company has done similar thing (deduction of money in the name of service charge and not passing the same amount to Air Asia) during June 2015 and kept on insisting that they have passed the amount to airline and it was airline's fault. On confronting they further said, it was software's mistake and in the mean time they have provided me THREE Different INVOICES for the same transaction. After lot of confusion, I got my refund. I strongly believe, they are UNFAIR in their dealing with customers. I need refund and they need to learn a lesson for doing such mischievous act.

                                  BookingId : NF[protected] I was trying to book flight ticket on 27th Oct 2015 for Pune to Kochi (11th Dec 2015) and Kochi to Pune (15th Dec 2015). My booking is failed because of some technical glitch from make my trip end but they still debited my credit card of amount (Rs 56088) and sent me an Booking unconfirmed email. I called customer care and they told me the i will get my full refund in (5+3) days. I just checked refund status after few days and found that nothing is happening and booking status shows booing cancelled. i called make my trip customer care after 5 days and i have been told that it will take 3 more days for the refund. i called after 3 days again and found that no progress. Customer care guy escalated the issue this time and ask me to wait for 5 more days to get the refund. I again tried after 3 days to check status and found the no progress and again escalated the issue and ask me wait for 5 more days. And this story continues till today (14th Nov 2015). I called make my trip customer care today again to check status and got the same reply that "Escalating the issue and you will get the refund in Next 5 days". I told customer care executive that same story is continuing from last couple of days. I also asked them to transfer the call to your senior and who can resolve this issue but customer care executive says you will get the same answer from my senior as well. I really don't understand for this straight forward case they are taking so much of time. Or this is the standard practice of their refund. Make my trip email. This is to inform you that due to some technical error at the airline’s end, we are unable to issue your ticket for sector Failed BLR-COK at this moment. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. We will be processing the refund for airline tickets. Kindly revert so that we can process the refund.

                                    I was shocked to know that I am not the only one having a problem with the website eating money. I tried booking a Domestic round trip BOM-IXC-BOM on the 30th oct. ufortunately the booking didn't go through and my money got cut. I was on constant follow up with them regarding the refund and finally when they managed to process it on their end in their "free" time. I was horrified to see that my bank name was submitted wrongly. after a delightful chat with their customer care rep who asked me to send her my bank statements to verify my bank I was told by a another sweet chap that my bank was right but due to system errors it's was mentioned wrongly on the website and I were to receive my money in 3 working days. The 3 working days never came and I was again informed today to send them my statements. Folks don't ever use make my trips's online portal. Infact don't approach them for any bookings personally either. They are a bunch of frauds who eat have designed a monster of a website to eat people's money. Makemytrip if you have any shame you would return my money back to me immediately. Or I will have no choice but to go public and defame every little self respect that you might have in yourself.

                                      I also had similar issue with reference to booking ID-NF[protected]. MMT is denying cashback. I made booking on 11th Aug after confirming the existence of offer in ICICI bank website. The T&C now available under URL: http://www.makemytrip.com/promotion/includes/FlightsBankOffers[protected].php are totally different than what was seen during offer period.

                                      I am not convinced with T&C provided by MMT me in first response to my complaint. The following statements in the link provided with MMT reply are technically wrong.
                                      • The offer is valid on bookings made on all Tuesdays starting from 4th August 2015 to 8th August 2015 for ICICI Bank credit card / debit card and internet banking customers.
                                      • All the bookings made from 4pm to 10pm every Tuesday during the offer period will be eligible for the cashback.
                                      There is no point of mentioning Tuesdays (PLURAL) in above statements. Can anybody find multiple Tuesdays during the period claimed by MMT. What does it mean by every Tuesday in next statement. Nobody will write such statements. Such statements are full evidence of forging the T&C after expiry of offer to fool customers like me.

                                      I searched the web and downloaded the T&C of FLYNOW offer from other third party websites. As per the information available at third party website:
                                      Offer is valid for bookings made from 4 pm and 10 pm every Tuesday starting 4th August 2015
                                      Offer is valid on Debit and Credit cards of ICICI Bank,
                                      For ICICI Bank, offer is also valid on Netbanking as well.
                                      The Offer was valid on bookings made on all Tuesdays starting from 4th August 2015 to 20th October
                                      2015.

                                      There cannot be different T&C for the same Promotion code FLYNOW running concurrently.
                                      1. I truly remember the validity of the offer was not ending on 8th Aug.
                                      2. Dates of all the Tuesdays i.e. 4th, 11th, 18th Aug etc were mentioned in the original terms and condition.
                                      3. The offer was valid for ICICI credit cards.
                                      4. The Promotional code was accepted during booking process.
                                      5. I even got an SMS of processing cashback after the booking.
                                      6. I was 100% sure of eligibility to this offer.

                                      In view of above evidences, I fully believe that MMT is cheating me. I raised the issue with MMT at various level. Everybody in MMT has been reiterating the same statement that I am not eligible for the offer. None has responded to my allegation of forging the T&C after expiry of the offer. I raised doubts, several times, on authenticity of certain phrases in the T&C provided by you in response to my complaint.


                                      Awaiting LOGICAL reply that clears my doubts about authenticity of T&C that MMT shared with me.

                                      Pl note the following statements in earlier which are in contradiction:
                                      *This offer is applicable for 1 booking per card per day for credit card holders and per account per day for debit
                                      card and net banking users of ICICI Bank
                                      *To download the MakeMyTrip app, please visit the link www.makemytrip.com/mobile
                                      *Offer is valid on credit, debit cards and net banking for ICICI Bank customers only.

                                      My strong argument is that the following statements in earlier URL :
                                      The offer is valid on bookings made on all Tuesdays starting from 4th August 2015 to 8th August 2015 for ICICI
                                      Bank credit card / debit card and internet banking customers.

                                      looks forged when read with next statement :
                                      All the bookings made from 4pm to 10pm every Tuesday during the offer period will be eligible for the cashback.

                                      Using "Tuesdays(Plural)" in first statement and :every Tuesday" in next one are the proof of forging the T&C after expiry of offer.
                                      The offer as was seen on 11th Aug was valid for several Tuesdays and contained one more statement mentioning all dates on which offer was valid.

                                      I got and SMS after booking that cashback will be processed. Shall I contact my mobile phone service provider to retrieve that SMS?

                                      Even I have faced the same problem for Booking ID NF[protected] using the FLYNOW code.

                                      It is clear that MMT has altered and forging the T & C in their adds to decieve the customers now.
                                      Its a big scam . They are not fulfilling the cashback promise and making a fool out of all o[censored]s .

                                      The mistake has been made on their part and they are not ready to accept it . Instead they are blaming the general public for not reading the T&C .SO MANY PEOPLE WILL NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE .

                                      The customer service is absolutely useless .They say that it is not valid on ICICI bank transactions .
                                      Let us HYPOTHETICALLY ASSUME that you are telling the truth ( WHICH IS NOT ) :-

                                      Could you care to explain why the coupon code got applied successfully when I was doing the transaction with a bank ( which you say was not eligible for the cashback ) ?
                                      In my common experience I have noted that whenever I try to apply a coupon which does not have the offer valid for the bank through which I do my transaction, it CLEARLY GIVES ME AN ERROR MESSAGE STATING THAT THE OFFER IS NOT VALID FOR THE BANK THROUGH WHICH I AM DOING MY TRANSACTION !!!

                                      Had you been telling the truth, I would have got that message, instead I got a message of the coupon being successfully applied.

                                      As Mr.Vaibhav Chowdhary rightly points out(in another complaint) the archives are telling a completely different story (Clearly mentioned on all tuesdays), than the one MMT is projecting .
