I had the worst nightmare & experience of my life that i had booked a holiday package from oyo.
I had booked a package for dubai for 8 people of whichi had to cancel for 2 people due to unavoidable circumstances. As per the policies, i cancelled for 2 people around 1.5 months before the travel dates (Travel date was 31st oct), but paid full amount for 8 people. During that time, i had to follow up with oyo almost every day to know the cancellation charges and the refund amount that i am supposed to receive later. 1 week after coming back from the trip, i. E. 12th nov, i had requested oyo over email to initiate the refund process which amounts to around 50k.
Almost all of my emails were unheard. I am not getting any replies. So, i started calling their helpline number, almost every other day trying to explain the problem to a new person each time. And all i am getting as a reply is “we will check and get back to you.” which of course they did not do. Finally, on dec 10th, i had to go via twitter route. I messaged oyo directly on twitter and asked them to process the refund asap. They finally got back to me 2 days later (12th dec), and told me clearly that my refund is processed and it will take 7-14 working days to come to my account. And i did not receive the amount even after 14 working days. So i messaged them again on around 4th jan, to which they are telling me to wait again for 7-14 days. Is oyo trying to fool their customers? They are clearly holding back my amount, telling lies that the refund is processed which is clearly not the case. Updated by sagar.gupta.138 Now the money refunded to me less than what was expected. I got 39000 only, and expected was around 49000.
Check the screenshot from their website which clearly mentions the amount remaining from their end. Even after repeated messages and following up with them, they are not doing ANYTHING. It is frustrating now. It has been over 5 months now. Send me my remaining money asap.
Please reply what action has been taken against hotel, also I am still getting call from you area manager that we didn't denied check in. Please check your customers care call for the reference.
