I am sharing my terrible experience with booking experience with oyo rooms. I was searching for a hotel with a family room in masobra (Shimla, hp) because we are three adults and a small kid below 2 years. I found hotel rock heaven on tripadvisor. Reading reviews about hotel rock heaven and specially ignoring the reviews regarding rude and unprofessional behavior of hotel staff, i selected this hotel as it was located in our destination location masobra. Moreover hotel and room pictures displayed on tripadvisor and hotel own website showed rooms beautiful, clean and hygienic as per our requirement.
I checked all details of hotel on its website which displays all details like room types and their rates, meal plans, extra person charges and other room amenities & services. They have also option of booking and payment available on their website.
Before booking, i approached the hotel people through phone call mentioned on their website. A lady attended my call from hotel rock heaven, masobra. She confirmed me availability of super deluxe room for three nights (Check-in date: 2 june 2017, check-out date: 5 june 2017) with relevancy of hotel information available on their hotel website.
She said super deluxe room is a kind of family room which can be used for triple sharing as room is having a double bed and one single window side bed which is shown in room pictures also and even extra bedding can be done for fourth person with extra charges. She was very polite on call and assured us for best room and services. When i asked her to make the booking, she suggested to make booking through their partner oyo rooms to get discounted rates for one double occupancy super deluxe room. She assured us that if extra bedding would be required will taken care by her directly at the time of check-in at hotel with extra charges. Then i searched same hotel in oyo rooms app by name "the valley view" as directed by her. Same beautiful pics are displayed on oyo rooms app. Rooms looks big and spacious in oyo app. After checking details, i made bookings through oyo rooms. I also sent them mail for booking and queries, but they did not reply. As my booking is through oyo rooms which is a well-known trust able firm, i made all advance payments online.
But after reaching the hotel, we were shocked and surprised. They don't know how to welcome guests. Same lady was sitting on reception have no manners to welcome guest on arrival. We indians are famous for how we welcome and treat our guests. We reached at hotel around 9:30 am. We went inside to inform her about our early arrival. She replied that we will be allowed to check in at 12:00 pm only and we agreed. We were made to stand on road side outside hotel. None from the hotel people asked us to wait in lobby area or inside hotel premises. They did not even offer us a glass of water.
When we asked her, for extra bedding and arrangements as discussed over call, she replied rudely that you booked from oyo rooms for two and so we will not arrange for extra person in same room. She too denied all commitments made on phone at the time of booking. When asked about hotel website information, she replied that hotel website is old and not updated one, so information available on their website regarding rooms amenities, their rates, extra beddings charges, different meal plans etc. Is incorrect. Having a hotel website with wrong or fake information is illegal and it is a cyber-crime. As we don't want to spoil our trip and having a small baby with us, we asked for availability for one more room. She said room is available and we can make booking directly with them. We asked her to check rooms for proceeding further as were already cheated by her. She let us check rooms before making new booking and check in. Rooms were not same as displayed in online pictures. Rooms were stinging with dirty bed sheets. Washroom was too small, dirty and unhygienic. We were cheated by hotel people and oyo rooms. Hotel people asked us to contact to oyo rooms for any issue as they are not responsible for any kind of inconvenience caused as booking is not done with them directly. So seeing hotel people behavior and their services we denied check-in into dirty room.
We have not checked-in in hotel room and did not use any kind of hotel service, not even a glass of water. Any online business runs on customer satisfaction and trust between online service provider and the customer. Issue is still pending with oyo rooms. As hotel people sais, booking is through oyo, so they will refund and oyo says, hotel is non-refundable, so can't refund whatsoever is the reason.

I get call from your investigation team and they denied to refund me whatsoever is the issue as this against their policy. This is very unprofessional response from your team. Policy are application when your committed to the services provided as per your information given at the time of hotel booking on your website.

Policy are applicable when you are committed to the services provided as per information given at the time of hotel booking on your website. why you are not using original room and surrounding pictures of your brand hotel. Your brand hotel people does not know how to welcome guest and their rude behavior is already famous, we too experience it.

I would also appreciate your understanding in this regard where I am suffering from your fraud online booking service and poor as well as irresponsible customer service. Your company has kept my hard earned money in its pocket without providing services promised to me at the time of booking. Your company and hotel people spoiled me and my family entire holidays by giving false assurance for providing me replacement in some other hotel in Shimla or nearby places.

Your company is fooling customers. You are promoting hotels under your brand and then when customer faces any issue regarding hotel then hotel and your company blame each other for refund and responsibilities.

Hotel people said they are not responsible as booking is done through OYO Company and your company is denying to refund by saying hotel is non-refundable.

I have attached screenshot of the mail received from your customer service. Similar excuse was given to me by your team member Mr. Pankaj Tiwari.
You are the first online company of your own kind who does not take responsibility of service provided by you.
I cancelled my booking because of your company. So I deserve to get my amount refunded as soon as possible.

    I have already submitted a complaint.
    You asked for information. My references are: kpoc8540 at oyo 8253 golden heights
    When i paid the amout to the hotel receptionist no registry entry was made. He simply took the money from me. I paid rs. 4000/ and afte 3 hours when i left the hotel he made a deduction of rs.1000/ and he did not give me any receipt. To be frank i reposed my absolute faith in oyo but the result is absolutely negative. I have been waiting for your action. Nothing has been received so far.

      Myself, ajay bansal from neemuch had booked a oyo room in hotel prem deluxe at paharganj delhi. Check in date was 10 august 2017 and checkout date is 12 august 2017. The services was not provided properly. The mattress which was provided was torn and bedsheet and pillow was also very dirty and smelly. Intercom facility was also not proper. Breakfast was also not good and room service was also not good and no proper water. Overall the oyo room was not satisfied and was not good.
      So i request you to plz take action for the inconvenience i faced.

        Booked hotel at mumbai location in andheri west, below are the issues
        1. Area was shady and the hotel looked nothing like the fake pictures it had uploaded online
        2. I had booked for three but it barely had space for 1
        3. When contacted the captain - he did not receieve it first, when called second - he said i ll receive call from oyo with options, no one called for 30 mins
        Meanwhile i n my family was left outside with no where togoimmediatly
        4. People started calling me asking me wht the concern was - told them but no one helped, m still receiving annoying calls now

        Wht happened at eod - i booked super expensive hotel on my own after 2 hrs of haggling
        Not going to refer or recommend oyo to anyone, if i had bad experience with oyo on business trip, i can live with tht as it is a reputed startup but fooling with us when i have my parents and kids - not acceptable

          I booked a hotel at rohtak haryana (Hotel saffron). I got check in by night 11pm and in the morning i requested for the breakfast by 8:00 am. They assured me that i will get the breakfast by time.in the morning they waited me for 1:30 hrs and at sharp 9:30 they told me that we are not able to give the breakfast and when i talked to oyo customer care they told me "breakfast toh hotel ki jimmedari hai nai diya toh nai diya". Even i have the recording of that. Please help me out the problem even they do not want to refund the money for the problem caused.

          I am getting room booking confirmation and bill receipt in my mail box of OYO rooms, which I am not using. Please check which agent of OYO rooms is using my company email ID.
          "breakfast toh hotel ki jimmedari hai nai diya toh nai diya". Please make that recording online and even share that on whatsapp groups. OYO need to be teach lessons for all misbehaves and frauds.

            Hello, i got a room booked through santosh for two days' stay at golden heights. (August 1st and 2nd 2017.) i reached the hotel and paid rs.4000.00 i put the bag in the room and went out for tea. When i came back i could see a gang of people smoking in the reception and went to the room. To my great shock i could find the lock inside the room was broken. I called the room boy and he told me that you press the knob from inside and it could not opened from outside. But it can be opened by using a duplicate key. The person inside the room cannot prevent anybody from entering the room. I made a complaint. Later i decided to leave the hotel but i was given only rs.3000.00. They took rs.1000.00 though i told them that i would launch a complaint to the police. I tell you that the atmosphere at the hotel was very very bad. I want you to blacklist the hotel 'golden heights.' this hotel has no name board. Nobody in the locality knows the hotel. I believe that oyo would the take the responsibility and see that oyo facility is not longer available at the hotel.

              I stayed at oyo rooms in last month on 2 separate instances. However the bills oyo sends by mail is not a proper bill. It is only a cash voucher, not signed, not stamped, no tin, no cin, no service tax/ gst disclosure. Nothing.
              Upon contacting the customer care says that is all that they provide customers. This is called white collar theft. By not providing tax information to customer who is paying money the oyo rooms are diverting the tax paid by the customer to own benefit.

                This is with respect to the oyo rooms in varsha paradise, e8 varsha park baner road pune. The oyo rooms are run in a residential building and they are misusing the common property for their benifit amd also installing a genset both without the permission of the residents of that building. This problem should be quickly rectified so as to spare the residents from the trouble caused or else they may have to take a legal recourse.

                  Hello, i am hemant kohli from delhi i have used oyo rooms many times, oyo provides great and affordable hotels and rooms in normal budget, but the oyo rooms who provides food and bevarages they include 10% service tax but they don't give any real bill for this.
                  The person will calculate the total amount of food and will also add 10% service charges. And even they don't have any bill for that so what about this 10% it illegal charges.

                    refund not received for the booking

                    I made a transaction for booking a hotel via oyo rooms on 5th july 2017 with transaction amount of 3322/- (3102 from icici bank debit card plus 220 from paytm). I cancelled the booking on the same date (5th july 2017) due to some reason and it has been more than 14 working days since oyo is telling me that they have initiated the refund and that i will receive the amount within 14 working days. I asked oyo for the bank reference number so...

                    I had a booking done on oyo with the booking id svwo7360 which i wanted to get cancelled and rebook due to last minute price drop, however when i called up the customer care, they wasted my time first because of the long call waiting and then making them understand the concern and by the time they understood that time it was 12:01 pm, after which free cancellation period expired. Three different people from same team called me up ten different times and all said this was against our policy.

                    I am really shocked to see the way they have made a fool of me, and just for 2-3 minutes of delay in cancellation and that too because of there own problems they are refusing to help and pay back the overcharged amount. Every time there people called and told me same lines that they have learnt. Disgusting experience i had with oyo.

                    This is the first time i tried oyo and trust me it is pathetic. I will not advise anyone to get a room booked from here. Not worth!!!

                      Hello all,
                      This is to inform you that when i booked a room in shillong the oyo guys put my paid booking on process and gave it to the person paying a bit more than me who arrived an hour late. They made me stand in the lobby for 2 hrs with my mom and dad. Then i was informed that a booking has never been made at all.. So i asked for a faster refund but they say i have to wait for 7-14 days to get my money. Wow!! Does it take 7-14days for them to take our money?? Even the customer service was terrible. They had no clue what was going on. Friends plz don't use oyo at all they just don't care about your stay and your convenience.

                        Booking (Mtah1465) already escalated.
                        I visited the property at around 8:00 pm and at reception as soon as i made the payment, the hotelier was sitting with his friends and made some rude/abusive comments. I didn't liked the behavior and raised my concerns regarding the same by calling oyo customer care at same time and told them that i haven't stayed in the room and ask them to cancel the booking.
                        Executive did the same (Cancelled the booking and made new booking for next week). I left the property immediately after this incident.
                        After 2 days when i contacted oyo then they said they will not return the money.

                        Firstly i received such pathetic service from oyo hotelier and then i lost my booking amount also.
                        It loss of custom from both sides.
                        Oyo didn't took any action in this case and sent an apology mail to me.

                        This is disgusting. I want action against hotelier and want my money refund.

                          We had booked two rooms for 6 girls through oyo android app for 22-23 july 2017 in madhuban hotel nainital. Booking id was tnbu5812. Our checkin time slot was between 6 am -12pm. After booking, we had disscused and confirmed twice with the oyo support team as well as with the hotel management for the early checkin, that is, before 6 am. They said that we will need to pay extra charge below 500. We even confirmed the in the evening of 21st july. We called the hotel receptionist and they confirmed that our rooms were available.

                          We reached at the hotel by 4:30 am. Firstly, hotel receptionist was very rude. Then, they had no idea about our booking. They confirmed the booking and said that we will need to pay more than 5000 for checkin. If we will checkin by 6-10 am then we will need to pay 30% extra amount. And, checkin between 10-12 will depend on the room availability. We had discussed with the oyo support team too. Support team member's name are chirag and shabaj.

                          So, finally, 6 o[censored]s and all girls were on the road at 4:30am in the morning. According to your worst policy, we needed to wait till 12pm for checkin. Otherwise, we have to pay extra amount.

                          Also, we were unable to cancel the booking. We have to pay 1 day full amount.

                          You spoiled our trip even before it started. We were on the road at 4am. We were searching for the rooms. This was one was the worst experience ever. You just make a fool of the customers.

                          As i faced so many problems just because of oyo. I had to pay more than 6000 for another hotel.

                          Then, let me know who is responsible for this inconvenience? As I said, we have confirmed it twice that we will be able for early check-in with the extra amount around 500. And, I had no problem with that. However, when we reached at the hotel, they are asking for more than 5000. What the hell is this? If you are investigating this then check the call conversation which I had with the support team regarding early checkin. And check, they said that the extra amount will be around 500. I will continue to raise this issue in front of Oyo customers so that you can't make fool to others.

                            Worst services provided to corporate. Booked rooms for the first time, when we reached in puri the hotel told that we dnt have booking. Oyo didnt booked any rooms for us. We are having corporate tie - up with them, hence the same stands cancel. Booking id is psqj1609. We called the corporate personel mr. Akshat ghiya-manager corporate sales kolkata phone number [protected], he didnt co-operated, rather blocked our numbers. Such a irresponsible behaviour from a branded company.
                            Later we informed the same to the customer care, they provided us a property which is 2.5km from the last property. There also we faced the same thing, there was also no information frm oyo about our bookings.
                            Then we requested not to help us and then they told that whether we require rooms or not they want a clear reply so that the call can get recorded... We said them not to help us with those fake bookings.

                              I have booked 1 room for 2 days and wanted to do checkout after 1 day. However they have charged for 2 days amount for 1 day stay. Also receipt is given for 1 day. The hotel also charged for water more than mrp for kinley water bottle. All bills are attached. I have asked for help but the company denied it. They were stating policy of no early checkouts which was not practically possible since my booking was done at 3 pm and checking in was around 9 pm. The policy which can not be practically possible should not withstand however they denied to understand the same. Request honourable forum to get me the justice in this case.

                                  I have a booked a room on 14th july 2-17 to 16th july 2017 at galaxy view hotel, allahabad which was confirmed by oyo rooms.

                                  We arrivied at the destination at 4 am in the morning expecting to check-in as per the booking. Even though the check-in time was at 12 noon, we made a special request in writing to accomodate in the morning. When we arrived, we were shocked to know that the hotel denied any booking in the name of mine. Immediately i contacted oyo and explained the situation. He apologised and requested to go another hotel named ur hotel nearby. Though we travelled 1, 406 kms by train, we were compelled to go to the ur hotel with luggage in the early hours. Shockingly, we faced the same situation at the ur hotel where they denied at booking. Being a diabetic patient, it was very hard for me to cooperate. We further contacted oyo the second time, but no use. The third time oyo requested us to go to another hotel, but we denied playing their game as we were fed up of their service. Then we booked a room at the ur hotel individually for two days. We arrived at allahabad for a purpose which was disturbed by the oyo people, by sending messages and making calls frequently throughout the iternary. The messages sent to me and the details of the calls made to me were recorded. Nearly 10 to 15 calls disturbed my program. It was very frustraing that such type of service is being offered to customers by oyo. The oyo itself is misguiding and cheating the customers with no responsibility. The ones who kept contacting me through sms and calls throughout the iternary were swathi saxena (Guest experience manager at oyo), ayushi singh rathore. A couple of anonymous staff members did not disclose their names saying they shouldnt reveal themselves. Finally, i am questioning that even though oyo has asked for my bank card details for booking purpose, why wasn't the room confirmed. I demand an apology from all the members who have troubled me and give them proper training to guide the customers with more care.

                                    I have booked oyo rooms 2no in coimbatore 4 guests for 2 days.. Ie 06/07/17 08/07/17... But one room is checked out after one day and we 3 guests spent in one room for the other day. This is being told on the same day while giving the key of room thats checked out. The same is being conveyed to oyo hotel. But the other day the bill i had payed is for 2 days...
                                    Hotel centre park reception says that the online format of oyo is as such.. They cant help. The oyo authorities[on phone] says they cant help...
                                    But... This is unjustified that i had paid the amount of extra day without my stay.
                                    This is to be looked into seriousely. My request case id in oyo is 2142020.

                                      What a pathetic and horrible experience with oyo!!
                                      Have recently booked oyo for my family with booking no. Kgfh4152, the property oyo rooms 718 delhi airport (Hotel galaxy) was such a mess.

                                      ...

                                      On 27th june we have booked hotel galaxy, on first sight, the reception and hotel look very shaddy. Room allotted to us was #106 but the property manager gave us the key to room#103. For some reason, this sounds very weird to us. So we check in at 3 pm.

                                      The provided room was very small, so we have asked him to change the room, very rudely he declined. So i called oyo customer care, and after 2 hrs they agreed to shift us to a new room.

                                      On 6 pm, after shifting whole luggage to the new floor, with my mom, sister, and her 2 kids, we found that the ac was leaking water, our luggage were wet by it.

                                      6.30 pm - again we had to shift to the new room. Here there is no water in the tap???
                                      So they have asked us to wait for 15 minutes and promised this will be fixed.

                                      By 9 pm we were completely exhaused and asked the oyo customer care to change our hotel. So they have provided us the updated memo for the nearby hotel 480. But since we have heavy luggage and hotel galaxies staff promised us that this will be fixed in next half and hour, we decided to stay there only. Biggest blunder!!!

                                      11 pm and still no water, with 2 kids we were literally stacked. So me and my sister visited near by oyo property 480, and decided to booked it. Asked the oyo to shift us from 718 to 480.

                                      But the hotel manager/property manager of 718 (Hotel galaxy) came completely drunked and asked us to pay for the whole day. He was in such a bad shape, that my mom needs to intervene in it. And we have decided to stay there the night and change the hotel next morning.

                                      Questions which need to be answered by oyo here:

                                      Why are such properties listed?
                                      Why no action was taken against such drunkard property manager???
                                      No clear mechanism, no of times i called your customer care, and every time i need to explain all this story to executive??
