This is my first ever consumer complaint and i feel compelled to do so.

Summarising in one world. Lenskart experience has been is "tacky"
I may not know about glasses that well, but the team at lenskart do not know their "craft" for sure, both for product and service.

Narrating my first experience @ lenskart indiranagar 100 ft road, bangalore.

1) i went to lenskart looking for a frame to fit my rayban wayfarer lenses. I was suggested to buy a "vincent" frame by the sales staff and since they didn't have a ready colour option, they ordered it online from the store itself for me. I was asked to come back once the frame arrived, so that they could fit the glasses for me then and there. This was the first week of august.

I was pleasantly surprised, how fast they could give me a solution.
But, it was short lived.
2) i was first told to come back between 14th-15th aug, but eventually after multiple phone follow ups, my frames arrived by the end of the next week. I went to the store to get the glasses fit then and there (As agreed by the lenskart sales staff.). But as soon as they saw the lens and the frame they figured that they can't fit it then and there. They requested me to wait for 1 more week, so that they can send this to the workshop and have it fixed (They also told me how frames are manufactured by robotic ways, its a ticky process etc.. Etc...). I trusted their logic and left my ray-ban lenses with them and asked them to deliver as soon as its done. Requested them to inform me once its done.
3) no one bothered to call and inform and again. Absolutely 0 accountability. I made multiple calls to ask them about the same. They very conveniently tell me, maam its not a 100 percent fit. (I had run out of patience by then, told them, please return my lenses and arrange for a refund.)
4) to my surprise they deliver my lens (Trackily force fitted onto the vincent frame with glue!!!), something we didn't discuss on... And deliver @ home, when i am not around. I was amazed to see that they feel they can pull off such tackiness???. "who attaches an expensive lens with glue",, i called back immediately and asked them to take their frame back immediately. That was almost two weeks back!!!

I am still waiting for them to pick their frame up! And refund.
I also reminded them twice to take back their merchandise!
They are behaving as if they are doing us a favour!

This is my first and definitely last experience with lenskart! And would request any one, who is new to "buying glasses or frames" not to waste their time and energy with this brand. (I spent over 35 k @ gkb for proper set of glasses and i still wonder, why i chose lenskart as an option to explore!

    I ordered colored lens at 5 of september from lenskart showroom in gopalan arcade mall banglore.. He asked me to pay full amount and i paid.. It was 723 including tax.. He said i il receive the order by max 12september... Today i called and asked and he was telling i already received the order... It's really irritating. I didn't receive the order atleast give my money back

      Promised to deliver in 3 days but it's been 3 weeks customer is suffering from sever headache but yet lenskart is still giving excuses saying it'll take another 1 week.

      Manager name om prakash branch/store is still saying it's going to take almost 2 weeks. Where in blue dart can deliver in 1 day yet they want another 2 weeks

        I am not satisfied with the service. I ordered item from the store in west mambalam chennai on 25th aug 2017 and till today 8th sep 2017 i didnt get the items yet. I paid the fulk bill value on the same day and i was promised that i will get the items on 31st aug 2017. Nothing happened. I was informed that i will get the items by courier to dubai as i ordered when i came to chennai for my vacation. I left india on 1st sep 2017 and i was promised that the items will be couriered to dubai. Everyday i was following but today i was informed that they are unable to courier since the courier company is refusing to courier the glasses. So what will happen to the amount of rs.4479/- i paid? What if i get the courier with items damaged? Who is going to answer all these questions?

        Dear Customer, due to lack of information we are closing this ticket from our end and it will be reopened automatically if we will receive required information from your end.
        Order 4096120. Today I arranged to collect the items from your West mambalam chennai branch through my mom since I am out of country. Your branch representative didn't update me the status and they told my mom when she visited today that they are figuring out how to courier the items to Dubai since courier companies are refusing. All i want to highlight is that there is lack of customer service and false promises are being given. They didn't even check whether they will be in the position to courier to Dubai. Also there is no proper updates are being given to customer in spite of several follow ups.

          complaint against lenskart for failure to replace the defective specs

          I purchased 2 spectacles from lenskart franchise, central market, ashok vihar, delhi in december 2016 which had broken down due to manufacturing defect. Both the broken specs were given to the lenskart franchise, ashok vihar for repair but the franchise informed that it cannot be repaired because of manufacturing defect and the company has given approval for its replacement. I was assured that the new specs would be delivered within 7-8 days....

          The delivery man was yelling at the customer on top of his voice. Didn't have the basic curtosy to address the customer. Throw our money back at us and also snatched the package from us. Extremely disrespectful. Name of the delivery man is gaurav singh.
          Serious action needs to be taken against him as he claimed that even if we complaint against him nothing would happen to him.
          The worst experience ever.
          Horrible customer service.
          All we said was please carry change and he said that wasn't his job.

            I bought a new frame with lense from lensekart store (Physically). After a week i found that i am unable to see clearly, exclude center part of the area where we see from both eyes, rest of the area is blurry, i cant recognise a face or read what its written if i look diagonally left and right. I went to the store he said lenses wont be changed. Please see to it, i bought the frame and lenses for the first time from lenskart and glasses were worth 5000.

              I was supposed to get it on 26th, but no one bothered to respond for the delay.

                Sir i have booked a 2 frams with lens from lenskart the concern person came to my house and took the payment through debit card, and then leter when i checked the colour frame was different so i told him to change the colour and even he said yeah sir il do it dont worry, now after 5 days if i aske the concern person, he is telling he did everythin and his back end team is not giving approval itseems, and now its already 5 days over i dnt get my frame yet, i need my problem should resolved by tomorrow oresle il file.                     There was a flaw in the lens and since i was out of the country lenskart told me to not use the glasses until i got them checked at one of the lenskart stores, as it could damage my eyes. They said that i could get the set checked on returning to india

                    I returned to india and gave the glasses in to be examined on the 31st of july 2017. I was told that i would have to get a replacement. I was then asked to chose a new frame, and after specifying that i didn't want to pay any extra that what i had already paid, i was not informed by the people at the store that the frame that i selected was not of the same category as the one that i had selected earlier.

                    It took lenskart another 7 days to tell me that i needed to pay an additional 900 rs. So i go back to the store and select a different frame on the 7th of august.

                    I have still not received the glasses.

                    A paid of glasses that i ordered and paid for in april 2017 have still not been used by me.

                    On raising a complain... Lenskart offered me 0.56 rs store credit!! What exactly am i supposed to do with that?

                    I then received an email from lenskart on the 22nd of August saying that the package had been shipped. But today is the 24th and I got a response to the complain that i raised that the package had not yet been shipped.

                    Deliberate deception of the customer I guess. But the 0.56 rs in store credits should make up for that.

                      I chose a frame from connaught place lenskart showroom in feb and the order no is [protected]. However, the frame got corroded in two months. Somehow i ignored but recently i got infection due to this.
                      After this i requested for return and the spectacle was picked up on 10th august 2017 and yet no frame has been delivered to my address. They delivered the frame to my default address though i placed the order (Order no. - [protected]) for the same place. Now, it seems they have cancelled my order. Apart from poor quality frames, their glasses are extremely bad and power is mostly. I short i am without glassses for last 14 days. Thanks to lenskart. They are a big cheat. Apart from that they keep spamming like beggar. They have extremely bad word of mouth publicity these days.

                      the quality of frame was pathetic no doubt and now your logistic mgmt is beyond comprehension . You are not capable of redirecting a product from rohini to karol bagh (both colonies are in Delhi btw ) in 9 days . You have attained zenith of incompetence.
                      Your Hyperbranding approach is not sustainable in long run . You are underestimating the role of word-of-mouth publicity

                        In the last 10 days i have plaed 4 orders with lenskart and all of this due to incorrect info provided in their page and by the customer care representatives. First 2 orders were for contact lenses, after 2 days of placing the first order ([protected]), i reached the lenskart team to check if they got my pwoer details right and then they took 2 days to confirm that they dont have these lenses avaialble and shared a link from where i can order the power in their site, so i clicked on that link and placed the order, again after 2 days, i get to know those lenses arent avaialble as well : ono : [protected]. Then i pleaded with them that i am in dire need of lenses and if they can help me in anyways, no response. Called the customer care no and asked for supervisor, was on hold for 30 mins and then no response. Then i get a mail that i can get a discount of inr 500 as a good well gesture and for the pain i had gone through. I went to their stores and ordered the glasses thinking the discount would apply, but no, then i get to know that only online orders are eligible for this discount, but even at the store i was asked the choose the specs and glasses on line. Again i raised a ticket and asked them to resolve it, after number of follow ups, they placed a new order stating, that the order placed at the store would be cancelled. Neither is this order cancelled, nor have i received my lenses or new glasses. Around 8 months back when i ordered lenses, they delivered a completely expired date lenses, which i had escalted again.                           I got specs created with the power checked from lenskart, indore.
                          Problem in specs: when looking down with head straight i am not able to recognize the depth and fell of on road 2 times, had discussion with lenskart, indore and the specs have been provided to them for correction.
                          I tired the specs for more than a month as advised by lenskart, indore but still the problem persists.

                              I bought frame from the lenskart store after done eye test from their itself. After three months, i started getting headache and eye pain and consulted doctor, he told because of this lenses only u r getting this pain because this power is not suitable for your eyes soon you have to change it. But store is not ready to care about this. Store saying they cannot able to do anything, they raised support requst and closed by mentioned that they cannot be replaced.

                              In lenskart store my right eyes sph is.5 power after done eye checkup from their side, from hospital, after put drops and saw my right eye's power is cyl -1.00.

                              How come this much big power difference issues happened within 5 months. Without checking eyes property, they forced me to buy their frame. Now they are not replacing with new power. Could you please raise a compliant against lenskart? Attached here prescription from lenskart store and hospital, please have a look.

                              Hi, Now again I got a call from lenskart and again saying same, they will give only 50% discounts for a new order. I denied it, because i dont want to go for again new order within 5 months. As per doctor, this much variation wont happens wihtin 5 month in eye power.

                                  I placed an order for my contact lenses at lens kart, sector 14 gurgaon branch today. I have lost one of the last pair of my contact lenses pair and needed the lenses as soon as possible. The lady at the store gave me false assurances that i would receive my lenses within 3-4 days even when she was well aware of my situation. I asked her if she was sure as i need a pair as soon as possible. I have my exams in one week and just now i received a message saying that i would receive my lenses within 10 days. My old optical shop has better services and those people never lie. This is really awful. I feel cheated as now my money is locked with lens kart people and i cannot even buy a pair from my old vendor. The reference number for the order is [protected]

                                    Recently went to buy from Lenskart store in Elgin, Kolkata on 9 Aug, 2017. As is highly advertised, they have plenty of free frames alongwith premium paid frames. I had initially chosen a frame costing Rs 2500.The store representative then ran the entire cost of the spectacle on his iPad and it came out to be 8890 INR. The wider field progressive lens cost 5500 INR. I requested him to go for the free frame and the narrow progressive lens. What was startling is this- NOTHING IS FREE. Lenskart is simply running a misleading campaign and making a fool out of customers. The price of the narrow field jumped to 5000 now since "the frame was free" as quoted by the store representative. How can the same product be priced at two different levels depending on which frame I choose? And even if it is so, why does Lenskart not have the ethics to mention that it actually isn't a free deal. Lenskart is clearly violating the basic ethics of doing business of placing the consumer interests on top and just focussing on its own money making interests. I hope that Lenskart comes out with a clarification regarding this so called offer and comes clean about the pricing of it products.

                                      I had ordered a spectacles with progressive lens and golden frame in the month of may 2017 costing about rs. 7000. I had bought it for my father who is having problem with his vision in right eye. Executives at the lenskart store in phase 3b2 mohali suggested us to buy progressive lens since it will help proper vision with near sightedness as well as far sightedness (Even though my father had no problem with far sightedness) still i bought it because i thought it will be comfortable. My father only used it for 1 to 2 weeks and temple of the frame broke. He is not able to use it since then. I went to the lenskart store in elante mall chandigarh and they said i'll have to buy another frame since they can't repair it. Buying another frame will cost me rs. 2500. When i said i won't spend more money, they said they will revert in 2 days with whatever best they could do. Till now i didn't get any call from them. Calling on customer care number today was in vain. I waited for 5 minutes till my call got connected, and then i received a hopeless and helpless response of "no".

                                      This is pure nonsense. Does it make any sense in shelling out another rs. 2500 when i have bought the glasses for rs. 7000 and haven't even used it properly?
                                      I'm not a fool or an uneducated person to accept this non sense. I have spent rs. 7000 on a glasses, the quality of the frame was so inferior that it broke.

                                      Let me tell you that it's lenskart's fault and not mine. You have sold me an inferior quality product at a very high cost. Now you are asking me to buy another frame? Give me back my money or give me a repair free of cost.
