I had bought a Sony Erricson W580i mobile phone 8 months ago by paying 9900/- Rs, some day ago my display were not working properly. It had free warranty of 1 year, so i took it to a Sony authorised service centre on 26/06/2009 named Rashi Mobile, Millenium Plaza, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. They took my handset and said that they have to send this handset to bhopal (M.P.) for reparing, after 15 days (14/06/2009) when i call service center phone number, i'm shocked coz service center representitive said that my mobile's disply had a water damage and it's not under warranty, but my cellphone does't have any water damage or breakage damage ever, after that she told me that when her boss come and he will only decide that what to do with my sony 580i cellphone.
After 2 day i again called sony service center and i told him about my problem, her boss (service center owner) assured me that my mobile is under warranty and they have to repair it without any extra cost, after that whenever i'm trying to contact service center owner named Mr. prajapati, he said tomorrow your handset will be ready, again i make a call again he said day after tomorrow your handset will be ready after that they did not respond to my calls & visits.
Yesterday i went to service center again, service center owner said that tomorrow my handset will be in my hand without any problem. today when i went to service center, service center guy told me that my handset is not repaired because they don'v have new display for my handset. my question is that, if they don't have new display in there stock before why they misguiding the customer, if they didn't have display why they didn't gave my handset without repair on 14/06/2009??
i gave my handset on 26/06/2009 and got my handset after almost after in a month on 21/07/2009 today *unrepaired*. This is a clear case of cheating, negligence. it's giving mental harassment to customer.I'll bring this issue to consumer forum as soon as possible, they think customer are fool but they don't know what a customer can do. Sony ericsson not gave me this phone free of cast, i had to pay 9990/- INR for purchasing that phone.
I have decided not to purchase any more Sony products here after. Better to avoid the problem (not to buy their product). that's why nokia is leading the market coz his product and services are best in india. i'm fade up with Sony ericsson really.
I would also like you to look into the rampant corruption in your service centres where the sole objective seems to collect the service charges and harass the customers. I wish to escalate this matter to the highest authorities.

The phone had poor picture and sound quality when i bought it and then on september 9, 2009 it stopped working.
I took it to the service station at haji ali and i was told that the phone will not be covered under warranty as it was damaged by liquid.On asking them what they meant, they said that the phone was damaged due to my sweat.
I feel that it is an absurd proposition since a phone is not supposed to get spoilt by sweat.And its only a few keys on the keyboard that arnt working.
After fighting for 3 days, i finally agreed to get my phone repaired by paying for it.The cost told to me as Rs.850 and i was to collect my phone after 3 days.
I called the service station after 3 days and was told that the cost would be Rs.1755 now.
I was not even informed about it.
I refused to pay since if that is the problem, the phone is going to keep getting spoilt over and over again.
The staff is obnoxiously rude and when i asked them for the address of the head office or any senior authority i was very rudely denied the same.
I sent an e-mail to the e-mail id that i got from their helpline number and got no response.
The phone has been with the service station for over 15 days now.
The are denying me my right of knowing the registered office address of a company from which i bought an expensive phone in good faith.
I am receiving no support from the company whatsoever and many a times they dont receive my calls.
I am disgusted with the after sale service and the company alltogether.
I really need help and fast.
