Dear Sir/s,
Please Assist!!! I have been communicating patiently with all Complaint Resolution avenues at VODAFONE for the past 10 days, without any luck!!!
I have been using a postpaid Vodafone number for the past 10+ years and have been making payments regularly. Due to my being away from India, I could not use this number though I ensured all outstanding are cleared on the same since I intended to use it.
To my surprise VODAFONE went ahead and deactivated it, just because it was a VIP number. No other justifications or reasons shared by them made any sense to me. I am still astonished how can a company simply "SNATCH and RUN" a phone number being in existence for 10+ years, even if VIP.
The peculiar problem am facing is that this number is listed on all my financial accounts, and at so many other places (over the last 10 years) that I cannot even go ahead and change at all places.
May please note that while they went ahead to deactivate my number:
1. They did not share any communication or warning that they would retrieve my number because of outstanding on the other.
2. My number is (was!!) presently in credit of INR 100 as of the last invoice received by me in Feb 2013
3. No communication was made with me, despite the fact that monthly invoice were being delivered to me; therefore communication channels were open
3a. to understand why am I not using the phone number or
3b. suggesting actions to be initiated if I wish to retain the number
4. Since I was NOT informed on the deactivation, I could not formally submit any request for Reactivation untill the time I planned to return to India and required to use the number
Ironically, these are some of the guidelines given by TRAI for prepaid customer, which I wonder whether applies to VODAFONE postpaid customers too.
I have attempted to plea with all the channels available to restore the Number (from Customer Care - Nodal Officer - Appellate Authority) but either there are frivolous reasons given by Customer Care or "Pin Drop" silence maintained by Nodal Officer and Apellate Authority.
Most Importantly, I fail to understand - Why Do They Use A Tag Line "Happy To Help" When No One In The Organisation Is Customer Centric Or Empathetic.

Hutch Mobile — Non payment of bill
My mobile no. is [protected]. I have shifted to bangalore 8 months back. But as and when I hv. been receiving the bills I have been paying my bills. The last bill remains unpaid. I have contacted your officeseveral times and have requested them to send me a bill to my bangalore address and then disconnect the number.
I have also given them my bangalore address which is 202-Govindam apts., Marathahalli, Bangalore 560 037. I have been served with legal notice which is unacceptable. A person who does not want to pay the bill would not be forthcoing with the address. Kindly look into the matter and revert at the earliest.
