I had a booking made at Makemytrip website to travel to Italy (Rome) from Bangalore on 20th of February (return on 1st March). However, I changed my booking on 17th of February (3 days before travel) to 29th May (return on 7th June). This was confirmed with a payment confirmation at Makemytrip website while making the changes with an agent (I don't remember his name). I received an email from [protected]@amadeus.com confirming my new travel dates, which I received immediately after the changes were made i.e. 17 Feb 2015. I was awaiting my new travel ticket confirmation from Makemytrip which did not come. On 25th Feb, I received an email from one Mr. Jatin Kumar (Via email ID [protected]@makemytrip.com) telling he was trying to get in touch with me. I tried calling Makemytrip[protected] numerous times and no one was able to help. They kept forwarding my call giving some excuse or other. After 2 hours of tracking via same number, I was told that I will get a response in 24 Hours. On 26th feb, another staff of Makemytrip called and said my ticket was not booked. He gave some vague reason and said that he has to book it again. When I told him for the same dates i.e. 29th May 2015 for Bangalore to Rome (Via Abu Dhabi), he said there were no seats available. I did a parallel search on makemytrip website and I was getting tickets on the same flight. He did not get me tickets for any day in the close vicinity of that date as well and all this while, i was getting confirmation of tickets on makemytrip website. He said he will get back and hung up the phone. I suspect some foul play and is a cover-up for not making my booking and not willing to replace the same booking. I send Makemytrip an email explaining the same. It has been 5 days and they have not bothered to respond. Any calls made to makemytrip ends up with some untrained staff member connecting to another untrained staff and then the call just gets disconnected. Their complains and feedback page doesn't work either. When I type all the details and submit, it says "Unable to submit, try again". I expect a clear response as I have spend a lot of money for this ticket and a new booking for the said dates as soon as possible.

    I have booked a Spicejet flight in MMT from Bangalore to Delhi on Jan 02, 2015 for the travelling Date Jan 09, 2015.I got a Msg from Spicejet on jan06, 2015 that the flight has been cancelled due to operational problem.so after consulting MMT i cancelled the booking.They promised that the amount Rs.6130 will be refunded within a week.But 3 months completed.still now i have not received my refund.Filed a complaint up to Step 4 in Complaint Forum of MMT.They are sending the repeated forward mails of Apologize mails.That too had stopped responding now.No use in that.Customer service are not responding to calls properly.There are many complaints already in consumer complaints also.This shows their responsibility and service to customers. if this is keep on continuing, MMT will surely lose all their Customers soon.. MY MakeMyTrip Booking ID- NF[protected] and MY mail ID:[protected]@gmail.com.kindly look on to this matter and refund my money as soon as possible.

      This complaint is with regards to the incomplete commitment made by MakeMyTrip for Day 6 of the tour plan that I have purchased. Though there were many issues in the trip of which I have informed MakeMyTrip in separate email (email sent to Hitesh Khatwani), this mail is to bring to your notice about our Day 6 experience. On 26th Feb 2015, my wife and I were ready after breakfast for Patan as it was promised in our itenary. We waited for the travel agent, we called MakeMyTrip also twice. But this issue was not resolved. We did not have any trip to Patan. Please let us know how you plan to address this inconvenience that we have faced. Will you compensate financially for it? Because we feel cheated by MakeMyTrip as MakeMyTrip has not kept its promise. We also had some bad experience which we have already informed to Hitesh Khatwani by email. My Booking ID is: IN1412B6S185103 The following is the plan that was sent to me for day 6 (26th Feb 2015): Day 6: Kathmandu - Delhi Breakfast is at the hotel, later check out and proceed for an excursion to Patan - Located about 5 km south of Kathmandu in the Kathmandu Valley, on the southern side of the Bagmati River, Patan is one of 3 royal cities in the valley. A destination for connoisseurs of fine arts, Patan is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and over 1200 monuments. The city is known for its rich tradition of arts and handicrafts. On time, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Delhi. On arrival into Delhi, get a transfer to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay. We had booked AC cabs for all travel, but in more than one instance AC cabs were not provided. On the third day, they were suppose to end the tour with a one hour boat ride.. they did not meet that commitment and again after I complained to MakeMyTrip then their local agent arranged it for the next day early morning boating. I have spent a lot of money just calling them from Nepal over ISD.

        Dear Sir,

        I have booked a ticket from MMT (Booking ID : NN[protected] on January 31st 2015 from Indore to Hanoi and back Indore on 24th February 2015.

        Primarily, They have booked me an unconfirmed ticket in which Bangkok to Hanoi Sector was not booked and when I called directly to Jet Customer Care Executive, I was shocked to hear that we would not be able to travel from Bangkok to Hanoi if the Ticket of that sector has not been confirmed though MMT customer care executives were giving us a false statement that they are working for that matter and we would be able to travel through that ticket.
        Continuously calling for at-least for a week to their Customer Care executive also was all waste until we complained to TAAI.

        Secondary, after doing all possible things at our end, we wee able to fetch a confirm ticket on the same booking ID but due to some unavoidable reason we thought to cancel our journey.

        So, I made a first call for inquiring about the cancellation procedure and refund amount on 13th of February 2015, I guess, where I was told that Rs. 5331/- only per passenger will be charged as penalty for cancellation and the rest amount will be refunded in few days.

        Then, finally we decided to cancel the tickets on 21st of February 2015 when I called back again to MMT CC (around 4:30 pm) where I was connected with CCE Mr. Sandeep. I was then shocked to know the penalty amount which this guy told to me, which was around 22000 per passenger.

        I was not able to digest the said words, hence decided to call back again to MMT CC, this time CCE Ms. RUPALI KAUL was connected with me, and she assured me after confirming her senior executives online that for the whole journey Rs. 25100/- for Both the Passenger will be charged as penalty and the rest amount of Rs. 51420/- only will be refunded back to me in my account in 7 to 8 days. Still I told her to re-confirm the same and if this is the scene then cancel the tickets and mail me in writing about how much I will get. She then cancelled my tickets assuring me the same above amount of refund on mail

        Next day, that is 22nd February 2015, out of my curiosity I just checked my refund status on the MMT website link of Manage Bookings where I was shocked to know the amount refunded was only 17638/- as compared to the confirmation given by Ms. Rupali of Rs. 51420/- I was so upset and again called MMT CC where they confirm me that if there CCE has confirmed the said amount that will surely be refunded to you in 7 to 8 days. but till date it didn't happened even after calling repeatedly to MMT CC and talking with their CCE's.

        And today I got the official cancellation mail which says the refund amount is only Rs. 17638/- . Its a shame that being so loyal customer to MMT, this happened. If I would have known earlier that this will be refund amount I would not have cancelled my tickets. I am not so rich that this will not affect me. I am a normal salaried class guy having many other responsibilities.


        I beg to you for looking into this matter and assist me in getting back my refund as soon as possible.

          I have booked a ticket from Bangalore to jabalpur via mumbai through Make my trip site. The flight from Bangalore to Mumbai was cancelled by Spice jet and the flight from mumbai to jabalpur was delayed so i cancelled the tickets at spice jet counter at mumbai airport. The money for both the flights was refunded by Spice jet airlines to make my trip but the amount which is refunded to me is only for the first flight and that to not the complete amount and the amount for second flight is not refunded at all by make my trip.

            #I made a booking on 24th Dec 2014 from Mumbai to Chennai which was cancelled by myself due to No Show. #Customer care informed to me that i willl get the refund with in 7 working days for No Show. #After the cancellation in the make my trip page it was showing that due to No Show your money of Rs.1854 will be processed with in 7 working days. #It's almost 70 days now.I spoke with the customer care for almost 10 times they were not able to help me out. #They informed me that I would get a call back on the re-fund issue but no one from make my trip has called me #I have raised 2 tickets and escalated to the management still no response from Make My trip on my re-fund. # I have attached the screen shots all the proofs.Please let me know if you want any other details.               Hello, i was booking flight ticket from 15-Feb-2015 from makemytrip website in evening around 8.30 pm for indore to dehli. but transaction fail. and money debited from my account. then after 5 min i'll try to contact 24X7 Customer Support service. but no body reply. then next i got sms from makemytrip, "MakeMyTrip Booking ID NF[protected] money will be refund with in 2 days". then after two days i filled "Service Requests" then i got mail money will refund by 9 march 2015. its mean 25 days for single refund. then on 20feb15 i again Escalated to next level, got sms money will be refunded into punjab national bank account, my transaction account is Bank of india. but after waiting for 5 day no reply. then i try to call helpline no for clearification about account and money. they told me we will arrange a call within 2 hours my call time is 10.08 AM on 25-feb-2015 but after waiting 4 hours no reply. Complaint Id :[protected] Booking ID NF[protected] Make my trip team we made refund in PNB account. but money is debited from Bank of india account. so i want make trip made a refund in wrong account. and i want my money back with in 30 days of date of booking otherwise i want double amount (10560Rs.) because of blocking my money and credited into wrong account.

                I had made an online ticket booking for two travels as follows - 1) My wife and daughter's travel for 9th to 14th Feb 2) My travel for 7th to 14th Feb The order of booking was as provided above. During my booking the portal showed a prepopulated passenger name; this was not editable. I tried refreshing the page and processed the booking once more yet the details were not editable. As a registered user of the portal I had some pre-loaded passengers one of which was my details. I thus checked the check-box against my name and proceeded my booking to the payments page. Unfortunately this page on MMT doesnt show the passenger details. I had an inkling that something could go wrong; so I went back to the passenger details page but on not being able to update the passenger I finally processed the transaction. To my surprise once payment was processed I received an email with the booking confirmation with passenger name as my wife's details! This was clearly a system error yet I suffered the consequences I followed up with MMT but was advised that i woudl need to follow the grievience process and that the only way out was to cancel the booking and rebook with new passenger details. In the process I lost INR 3, 500 due to expenses towards cancellation charges. I have been since that day following up with MMT and while they agreed that the sequence of the transaction was exactly as i explained (from their logs) they were unable to honor my claim since the passenger name was incorrectly provided. I am unable to understand how can i as a user update the passenger name if it is an uneditable field!!

I have spoken with Mr, Ketan Tandon & a message was send to him with Booking No. & other details.Still he has not reverted to my sms neither email. & Now he is not receiving any of my calls. I was contacting the persons ( Shweta Dua & Ketan Tandon ) who sold me the package & I was in co-ordination with. It was really tough to reach these people as they did not receive my calls. When they did, they said they will look into the matter & make the remaining payment. But NO CALLS CAME FROM THEM. This really consumed the time. Then I emailed them on their email address about it.But NO REPLY. Then I made complaint on their website, I got complaint number & an automated reply that Make My Trip executive will call within 48 hours. But NO CALLS Despite Emails, Registered Complaints, Telephonic Conversation with Make My Trip Executives, they have failed to respond to committed time. Recently I made two calls on Hot Line Number[protected] - 1st Call was made on[protected], I spoke to Vibha of Make My Trip & I explained her about situation & she told she would respond within 24 Hrs.But She didn't. - 2nd Call was made on[protected] I was disconnected twice while transferring, I spoke to Male Executive, he told me that remaining payment will not made.He gave reasons which seem invalid as all of the transactions were done as guided by MAKE MY TRIP. He said that I should not to take any action against them ( Consumer Court action )& he will comeback within 48 hours.Its been 4 days, I have not received any call. Make My Trip is making false offer promise while booking & payment. Once the 100% payment is done by the customer, they do not respond & neither resolve the problem. They do not response to their complaints neither give satisfactory feedback to costumers. They deliberately delay the matter. I would like register a COMPLAINT against MAKE MY TRIP for MISLEADING THE CUSTOMERS.

                    I booked my ticket for travelling from bangalore to chandigarh on 15 Jan, 2015 and for travelling chandigarh to bangalore on 28 Jan, 2015. My booking id is NF[protected]. Due to some reason flight was non operational from delhi to chandigarh. As per makemytrip instructions I cancelled the ticket on 30 jan, 2015 and I was told that I will get my refund within 7 days. I kept waiting for 7 days and after 7 days when I called them they told me sir they have refunded the money but bank will take 4 days to proceed and money will come to your account after 4 days. When I didn't get the money after that 4 days, I again called makemytrip customer care and asked about my refund status they told me sir sorry about the delay. We have created a reference id and complaint is with the refund department and you will get your refund within next 12 days surely. After 12 days also I have not got my refund and I am harassed. I have called makemytrip customer care 4 times a day from around last one month and everytime they give me different excuse. They have created 4 reference ids for my complaint and till now not a single reference id is resolved. I mail them also regarding my refund but got no response. I think the person who is calling them is fool and they enjoy making people fool. I broke my mobile also while calling them. I dont know why I book my ticket from makemytrip. Please dont book ticket from makemytrip as customer service is worst.

                    In reference to your complaint, we have validated the case and found that, on your request for the refund of your onward segment due to re-scheduling of the flight, we have raised the request with the airline and airline has provided a refund of Inr 182 only with a refund reference number#[protected]. The same we have initiated from our end in the original form of payment. We request you to please provide the stamped document from airline, which states that you are eligible for refund. Post receiving the same we will take this up with teh airline and process the refund accordingly. We thank you for contacting us.

                      MakeMyTrip.com - Non refund after flight cancellation I Anuradha Saupin had booked a Jet Airways flight 9W 2658 through your agency from Chandigarh to Dehi on the 16th of February 2015, which was cancelled by them. MakeMyTrip Booking ID is - NF[protected] Your website DOES NOT have an operational button which customers can access to register their complaint nor do the telephone nos.on your website provide customer service. This must be my 3rd complaint filed..no response yet. Do hope your organisation MakeMyTrip is not planning on pocketing the money legally due to me. This must be the 3rd or 4th complaint lodged by me

                            Sir, I name is Anshul Gupta & I made Hotel booking on 15.01.2015 through Makemytrip.com. The booking ID generated was IN1501B7S076861. On that very date itself, I requested to cancel my booking and also got the verbal confirmation that my booking got cancelled. On that date MMT executive told me that refund will be made within next 4-5 working days. I am pursuing from that very date and till date I have recd. nothing from MMT except the assurance that we are still working on that and your refund will made in some time. On phone also they always made a commitment that refund will be credited within next 24 hrs but till date that moment has yet not came. Its being really very very disgusting that these companies are harassing customers like this. If required I can share whole chain of mails that I had sent to makemytrip till date. For your reference I am sharing a screenshot of my mail to them. My email ID is anshul.[protected]@yahoo.com Kindly take some remedial action against such acts.

                              Dear Sir, I have been cheated and harassed by Make my trip. The detail of the complaint is as follows DATED: 09/12/2014 I had booked a ticket for a round trip from Delhi to Bangalore under the booking ID: NF[protected] dated for 19th Dec 2014. I received an update that the Spice Jet flight from Delhi to Bangalore I received an update from Make My Trip on 9th December 2014 that my flight is cancelled as it is non-operational. I called up the customer care of Make My Trip and asked what the options I have are. They checked with the airline and told me that they can shift me to the flight operating in the evening but I declined as I would not be able to attend my meetings scheduled for 19th December. I asked them to cancel my tickets for the onward journey (Delhi-Bangalore). They did the same and I got the confirmation that my money will be credited back into my account in 7 working days. I then booked another ticket and travelled as required. I have been calling make my trip customer ever since and they have been promising me false dates and call backs. Every time I get in touch with the customer service they have been saying that they have not received the refund back from Spice Jet and they are following up. Today it has been 70 days and still no refund has been processed. Now they are asking me to get in touch with Spice Jet to check the refund status which I don’t think is my part of job as I have paid my money to Make My Trip and not to Spice Jet. I have been waiting and they have been rude over the phone, disconnecting my calls and asking me to do whatever I can but they won’t be able to help me. I am shocked and deeply upset because of this issue as they are not taking any responsibility even after taking their fees. YOUR FAITHFULLY: Rahul Kumar Rao

                                I had booked to and fro ticket from Delhi - Raipur - Delhi. Without telling me suddenly Make my trip cancelled my return journey from Raipur to Delhi. I had to travel on 24th and 23rd evening when i was about to take printout of the ticket, i came to know that they cancelled my ticket. I booked ticket for 7000/- on 23rd Dec. From then Make my trip is making me fool and not refunding the money for the ticket they cancelled not the extra amount i piad for mynew ticket.

                                  I have had the worst experience with MakeMyTrip. Their system failed on me when I was trying to book tickets but they went ahead to deduct money from me. It has been 5 weeks but they are not refunding the money despite me calling and writing in so many times. I highly encourage everyone to stop using their portal not only for booking travel packages, but also for any kinds of domestic or international flights.They are robbers and espouse dishonesty in every sense of the word. Be warned! This was the last letter I wrote to them (with clear booking IDs and call IDs mentioned): ================= Dear Make My Trip, It has been a most exasperating ordeal that I have been put to go through with Make My Trip. A simple booking over your platform has evolved into a complete nightmare with over 20 emails being sent, over 5 hours wasted in calls speaking with Make My Trip’s staff who played on my trust and never delivered their promises, and the mental trauma and frustration I have been subjected to while following up incessantly on this matter for the past 5 weeks. The repercussions of Make My Trip’s ineptitude extend beyond Make My Trip and it has reduced my trust in online vendors in general. On 12 January, I attempted to make a booking for a flight from Sharjah (SHJ) to Muscat (MCT) for 10 Mar 15, 08:20, G9 114 using my Singapore Citibank Credit Card. Due to an error in your system, my credit card was deducted not once, but twice, for this failed booking. As a result INR 19, 336 [SGD430.73] was deducted twice from my credit card, ie. INR 19, 336 x 2 = INR 38, 672/- [SGD861.46] Immediately when this happened, I sent an email in to Make My Trip ([protected]@makemytrip.com and [protected]@MakeMyTrip.Com) informing your company of this erroneous deduction and reported the two failed bookings (booking IDs: NN[protected] & NN[protected] On 17 January, Make My Trip refunded INR 18, 807 x 2 = INR 37, 614/- [SGD786.02] in my account. It’s puzzling and questionable why (a) A partial refund was made instead of a full refund (b) It took Make My Trip a whole 5 days to make a refund (even then a wrong refund) As a result of Make My Trip’s incompetence in handling refunds, I had to call in again requesting for the remaining amount of INR 529 x 2 = INR 1, 058/- to be refunded. On 29 January, INR 529/- [SGD11.22] was refunded to my account. Once again, it reflects on the ineptitude of Make My Trip’s staff for refunding only half of the full amount of INR 1058. Following this, I called again innumerable times, each time speaking to different Make My Trip travel specialist, each time being put on hold for a minimum of 15 minutes before finally getting connected to a speaking human being, and each time listening to false promises about having the remaining INR 529/- refunded. This entire ordeal for no fault of mine. Here is a snapshot of my Citibank credit card statement: 12/01/2015 Make My Trip NEW DELHI IN INR 19, 336.00 SGD 430.73 12/01/2015 Make My Trip NEW DELHI IN INR 19, 336.00 SGD 430.73 17/01/2015 Make My Trip NEW DELHI IN INR 18, 807.00 (SGD 393.01) 17/01/2015 Make My Trip NEW DELHI IN INR 18, 807.00 (SGD 393.01) 29/01/2015 Make My Trip NEW DELHI IN INR 529.00 (SGD 11.22) A few observable points: 1. Clearly, a pending refund amount of INR 529 remains (from booking ID NN[protected] 2. As a result of the inordinate delay in refund, there has been a considerable loss at my end due to currency fluctuations. Upon analysis of the statement, even though an amount of INR 19, 336 (INR 18, 807 + INR 529) has been refunded, the total refunded SGD amount is coming to SGD 404.23, whereas an amount of SGD 430.73 was initially deducted. Because of Make My Trip’s blip in the system, I have been wrongly debited of SGD 26.50 (approximately INR 1, 270) This process has been an extremely taxing and frustrating, to say the least. I have written in umpteen times to Make My Trip and called so many times and spoken to your various travel specialists (Ms. Vadana Negi, Mr. Prashant (ext no 8203), Ms Karishma (ext no 2450), Mr, Nitish (ext no 8216), Mr Abhay to name a few) who have all but delivered empty promises. The last call I had was with Mr. Abhay on 23 February (Call reference ID:[protected] who promised that the refund will come within 48 working hours, which clearly doesn’t seem to be happening. This is not merely an issue of money, but of me wasting so many useful hours over a simple matter that was caused by a glitch in your system, and more importantly, of the dismal and severely disappointing customer service Make My Trip has rendered so far. I fail to understand why have I been made to suffer for no mistake of mine, why I have to follow up with calls and emails when I am promised a resolution in a set time frame, and why all my requests have fallen on deaf ears. I’ve never seen an inefficient and flawed an online travel company as Make My Trip and I assure you that this is my last time ever using Make My Trip.                                   I agree with you, NEVER EVER BOOK TRAVEL WITH MAKEMYTRIP, till today, that is 5 weeks since i lodge a complaint, I till have not had my REFUND. My booking was a domestic flight from Bangalore to Goa, and due to change in Plan, I booked the latter flight time. In the circumstances, it was just straight forward refund.

                                  MY ADVICE is DO NOT BOOK ANY TRIPS, DOMESTIC OR INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS with MAKEMY TRIP, do not ignore this, as you are NOT LIKELY TO GET REFUND.

                                  ALSO EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, there is NOBODY to TALK to with your complaint. All is automatic telephone conversation and each time they cut off the conversation, VERY VERY CLEVER< difficult to lodge complaint and NO REFUN. Gain all the way, fro make my trip.

So many complaints.. so many calls.. customer care is absolutely pathetic where i will not be able to connect to any representative even if i wait for 30 minutes.. absolutely... worst service...

                                      There is no other way to express my displeasure at the service (pathetic without any credibility) which I have recieved. Inspite of my repeated follow-ups, I have not got a proper update on exactly when I will get my refund for a flight that was cancelled by Spicejet, the esteem flight operator with best refund policy in the world, so much that they don't like giving my money back. It would have been better, if I would have given my money in charity.

                                      Since I did my booking on your website and you conveniently charged me Rs.200 as 'convenience fee'. You are solely responsible as a service provider to ensure that your customer doesn't have any problem and gets the refund without following up 8-10 times and getting baseless reassurances minus commitment. Atleast say true to the statement of refund within 7days on your website only.

                                      The cancellation was done on 28.01.2015 and we are standing on 24.02.2015. Please do the maths of counting the number of days. With a continuous digital expansion happening in India, where other online portals are refunding the money within 24 hours, I would be sweet if I term your service as slow, lazy and pathetic.

                                      I don't know how but I need to know by tomorrow that I'm getting my money back within 3 days, which is more than the usual time.

                                      Needless to say I am very very very very very very disappointed with the way you guys have handled the current situation and your tagline of 'MEMORIES UNLIMITED' stands so true right now. I will be carrying very bad memories of 'Makemytrip' henceforth and will be passing on the word to my fellows.

                                      As a service provider it is your responsibility to share accurate information with me. I'm not okay with hearing the same thing over and over again of 4 days, 4 more days sir, final 4 days from your customer support executives, whenever I call them to check about my refund stattus. And 28 days is not enough time for you guys to cross-check and verify? Like seriously. This is not acceptable at all. We are not living in 14th century, where we need to send telegrams to an alien place/country. Who in the world takes 28 days to verify. I don't think you guys are taking this issue seriously.

                                      And why this issue is not being escalated at a greater/serious level, so that customers like me don't have to follow-up with you for our money that's struck now?

                                      Please ensure when/if you reply. The response should encapsulate - WHEN AM I GETTING THE MONEY WITH EXACT DATE AND TIME AND IT SHOULD BE WITHIN THIS WEEK.
