I recently had an extremely upsetting experience while canceling flight tickets from makemytrip. On 27 march 2018, i had purchased two flight tickets from makemytrip for return journey from kolkata to bombay. The two tickets were from the go air and jet airways. But due to the putting wrong destination, i had to cancel the tickets within 5 mins of complete transaction. The total amount i paid for the tickets was rs 9540, however upon cancellation within 5 minutes, i received only a petty amount of 1451 rupees. I had known before hand that canceling tickets would incur some cancellation charges. But deduction of 90% of the total amount is insane and downright unfair. I feel robbed in the name of reimbursement. After speaking with makemytrip regarding this matter, had informed me that such a huge deduction was done by the airline company and thus couldn't help me with it. I expect my full refund asap (As per the cancellation policy of most e-commerce companies).

    I had booked a Homestay in Kasauli through MakeMyTrip (MMT) for check in on 31/03/2018 and Check out on 01/04/2018. The full payment was made and I also received booking confirmation from MMT. When I called the Host for directions to the property on 31/03/2018 on my way to Kasauli, I was told that the host had already sold the property to someone else since he did not receive any confirmation from MMT about my booking. After around 45 minutes and 4-5 to and fro calls to MMT where I kept getting put on hold and at times for 5-7 minutes at a stretch, we reached an understanding that a full refund will be made and an alternative arrangement will be made in Kasauli for stay. For lack of any options, I had to accept the alternate stay arrangement since I was nearly reaching Kasauli.

    To my horror, I was accommodate in attic room size approx 6'x8' and really unhygienic washroom in stead of a two bedroom apartment that I had originally booked. To top it, MMT has refunded only INR 2, 700 instead of the full refund of INR 3, 540. After calling MMT today at around 11:15 and again going through hold time of around 5 minutes, I was told that the concerned person will call me by 12. Its been 1 hour and 18 minutes past the promised time and no call received nor any refund in sight.

      I am really very surprise to note that make my trip india which is one of the renowned agent company dealing for booking of tkts for air hotel and other agency. I have booked the air ticket for 15th march 2018 (Wrongly) for bengaluru - varanasi for indigo flight instead of 15th feb on 6th feb.2018. On realising my mistake i have contacted m/s indigo to have best way to utilise of this odd amt of two tkts rs.8500 in future travelling. M/s indigo flatly refused to give any credit note and told that you have booked ticket through make my trip our agent we cannot give you any such facility. For this we have correspondence through email before 25 days but on the day of flight indigo company just around 3hrs before departure of the flight contacted over phone when the customer were already at varanasi (Singrauli) and forced us to cancel our ticket for which they informed that as per cancellation policy only rs.1934 will be refunded to us through makemytrip. The said refund transfer amt lying idle at the end of makemytrip agency co till 30th mar 2018 when contacted the makemytrip customer care
      Mr. Arinav bose he informed that since customer have not contacted as such the money has not been transferred. He further informed that 300 rs each will be deducted at their end as their service charge and on going through msg it is revealed that 750 rs in total deducted on this account. Being regular customer and having login i d in make my trip no facility reg adjustment of amount in my future travel provided by such agency. Such type o[censored]nwanted deduction will only dishearten the customers. I feel regular customer like us are being cheated by such renowned agency.

        I had booked a flight ticket through makemytripand placed a part cancellation request as vistara airline changed their timing. The cancellation was raised on 6th of march. Till now i have not received refund. As per their sla they had to refund me the money latest by 21st of march. Everytime i call customer care, they would say it is a technical error and i would get the refund in 24/48/72 hours. At least 4 of their customer care executives have promised to call me back within a time frame that ranges from 1 hour to 24 hours. But all of them had made it a point that they will not call me back with an update. Customer care at makemytrip looks like a joke. I want refund of my part cancellation as soon as possible as i have exceeded my limits of patience.

        I called them up again and now they are saying me to wait another 7 business days. I am disgusted by their utmost disrespect to customers. They have now promised that I will receive a supervisor call in 10 minutes. When I asked for a reference number for the call, they are acting like they can't hear me. No response for a minute and the call got cut. How can a company be so callous in their behaviour is beyond me.

        "Absolutely pleased to treat you like a beggar for your own money sir. Please wait for 10 days sir. Then when you call back after 15 days, we can say that we will process it in 3 more days. Then after 3 days we will call back again to say to wait for 7 more days. We love to treat you like a beggar for your own money sir." - This is the attitude of makemytrip.

          novel way of cheating public through night charges after payment done

          On 28tha march, 2018 i booked one way cab from delhi airport to chandigarh and make all the payments (Rs 2367) through my agent bm travels. This was all inclusive fare.
          However, during the travel, the driver ask rs 250 extra as driver night charges.

          When we book, we clearly mention required cab date and timings at the start window of booking.in my case, the cab was required at 10 pm in night. As per amount displayed,...

          Make my trip india - i booked two tickets from chennai to lucknow and return on 30th march 2018 through your official website. After i made the payment using my hdfc debit card, your website redirects me to the same page, saying the transaction could not be completed and please try again. The money in rs 12, 208 has been deducted from my bank account (Ref no[protected]. I have got no mail regarding my tickets. I want to know where my money has gone!!

            We had booked for a five day trip to srilanka through makemytrip from march 28th, 2018 to april 1st, 2018. The total amount for the package was rs.48, 000 for three people. Because of the communal tension in kandy we decided not to go to kandy which was our first day schedule in srilanka. Hence we requested the makemytrip agents ms. Trupti and ms. Madhuri to modify the itinerary and suggest some other places for the first day which they failed to do even after one week of intense followups. We finally gave up and decided to spend the first day in colombo itself and even booked a hotel by ourselves. This is just the tip of the problem.
            Last week we decided to cancel this trip due to some very personal reasons of emergency and requested the agents ms. Trupti and ms. Madhuri five days back to reschedule our trip from april 27th’18. Ms. Trupti was buying time time from us and said that she has to check with the hotel availability and cab vendors for the modified dates and confirm to us. Ms. Trupti never returned with any confirmation and was not responding to our phone calls. I had spoken to madhuri also on 26/3/2018 telling her about the discussion that i had with ms. Trupt and she also said that within 24 hrs she will get back to us after checking with the vendors and hotel availability. Today (27/3/2018) nobody even cared to update us from their side and we kept calling them again and again only to hear that the rescheduling of the trip is not possible and we will lose our entire money that we have paid. Ms. Madhuri is lying to us that she had already informed me that travel date change is not possible.
            Makemytrip is fooling customers by not responding properly and eating up our money. The modus operandi here is not giving proper update and making the customer wait till the last moment and informing them that as per policy no refund can be processed.
            Never book any of your trips through makemytrip.

                Dear sir,
                We had booked a room at ampa skywalk hotel, chennai on 24th of march. Booking id assigned by mmt by nh[protected]. But to our surprise when we reached hotel, at the reception it was told to us that they are full and no rooms are available. When we contacted mmt toll free no, they discussed with the hotel and after almost 45 mins they confirmed that room will be made available. Again to our utter dismay the hotel team told that only one room is available but no ac and tv is available in that room. When i contacted mmt executive (Ms sneha was handling the case) she told me to wait for 10 mins and she will be arranging an alternative hotel for me. But after that i received a call back from mmt representative and he told that no alternate hotel can be arranged since the hotel is ready to provide us room without tv and ac. When i told that your executive has told that alternate room is being arranged, he told no room will be provided and at best they will cancel the booking. Painfully we booked through other site. This is the first such horrible experience with mmt and was extremely harrowing for us. We were travelling the whole day and this was extreme painful experience for us. We request you to look into the mater failing which we will be forced to take up the mater legally.

                  I booked ticked from mumbai to delhi for my wife and my daughter (Below 12 yrs) for jet airways through mmt on[protected] for travel day[protected] flight time 18.00 hrs flight no 9w-311 under pnr no atmube.
                  I am not sure what happened but the ticket was booked which my wife's name appeared same as my daughter name.
                  When i called up jet airways they said they cannot fix this issue as the ticked is booked by third party (Mmt). I called up mmt they said they cannot fix the issue as they are bound to follow airline rule.
                  The problem was my daughter's name who is below 12 yrs appeared in front if my wife's name due to which i cannot cancel one ticket book another. I was told that the air line rule says that a minor cannot travel in airline single that pnr so ticket will automatically get void. There was only solution that i should cancel both tickets and re-book the ticket... What a solution.. Oh my god!. I asked if i can book a ticket for my wife in same flight, but mmt and jet didnt allow me to do so as the pnr numbers would be different.
                  Since i was in hurry cancelled ticket for 103 rs refund and re-booked the ticket of another air line.
                  I really didnt understand this logic... Is this really valid is there any substance in this.. I really dont understand
                  When we airline is delayed and the airline company is at fault we are screwed, not a single rupee is compensated for the delay caused.

                    I had booked return flight tickets from mumbai to ahmedabad on 21/03/2018, at the time of booking price was 21000, when the next page arrived the price was 24k which is ok, but at the time of payment the price shoot to 28k. It was a shocker and i cannot do anything as tickets were confirmed.

                    In morning on 22/03/2018 the price for same tickets have been dropped to 24k and make my trip are saying price fluctuations happen.

                    This is pure trick by mmt and in simple words fraud. Need the difference amount back in my account.

                    Make my trip is just giving non sense reason for price hike. No one has yet called me to hear my problem, they are just mailing me with a reply, , "we tried to reach you", one more cheat trick added by make my trip.

                    I have booked a cab on 10 March from Amritsar to Chamba from the site of Make my trip. I have paid the whole amount from my credit card. Neither i got the Booking ID on my mail nor i got the message. The amount paid is 4200 rs approximately. These people are not responding to the calls. I need my money back

                        I booked an holiday package cost Rs. 30k. Due to personal reason I cancelled the booking after 2days. On calling the customer care for 1000 times for my refund amount, they are least bother to process the refund. The response I got from the customer care officials are below.

                        1. There is technical problem on the refund department for a week. (Is your Makemytrip website project t is serviced by a tea shop?????)

                        2. Your refund claim is not yet processed. I'll raise a claim. (All people are flirts in their office)

                        3. Your claim amount is 22k and still is in process (No money coz of dubakur money)

                        4.We can't give you refund for hotels and cabs and final refund is 17k only.(Coz hotels are used in different ways)

                        5. Your process is assigned to Mr. X and he is working on it. (He is busy with some other XXX)

                        7. Your claim is processed and will get your refund after 24hrs.

                        8.Our customer care executive will call you back after 24hrs.

                        9. Your total refund is Rs. 16740.

                        10. Our executive will call you back (Not yet called single time. You can see the attachment).

                        These flirts worthless to service for the customer. Better close and start xxx work.

                        Users please don't use makemytrip, try to use Paytm - instant refund, Yatra - refund max of 3days.

                          Hotel treebo sun view international, karol bagh, new delhi, denied check-in saying that local residents are not allowed even when we are a married couple. After inquiring for an hour they said that the tariff amount will be refunded by makemytrip from where we made the booking. But when we contacted mmt for refund, they simply refused to refund the amount saying that it is clearly mentioned in the hotel's policy that local residents are not allowed. But this isn't really the case. Attaching a screenshot of hotel policy's page. According to their statement it says "our hotels reserve the right of admission to ensure safety and comfort of guests. This may include cases such as local residents, unmarried and unrelated couples among others."
                          A complaint has already been raised with mmt, they agreed to refund half of the amount. When i have not stayed in the hotel, why should even half of the amount be deducted. Asking the same, no response has been given from their side for a week now. Attaching the screenshots of the complaint raised by me and also the responses received from mmt.

                            I booked my ticket on 6th january and money was deducted from you side twice. When i mailed about this you told its from my bank. My bank confirmed about the money to be successfully transferred to merchants bank. But till date i have not recieved a single refund from your side the money debited from my card once from makemytrip and then to travelcc mumbai with transaction no othpg[protected]

                              The website is a poor excuse and faulty. Yesterday while booking a ticket from bangalore to delhi (Booking ref : nf[protected]) it kept changing the sector automatically from delhi to bangalore. After changing it to the correct sector and proceeding with the booking the site booked a ticket to the wrong sector. We called make my trip within ten minutes of this and they would only refund 1300 inr of the original cost which was 4794 inr!! After much lengthy conversation and discussion with the floor supervisor ujwal (Complaint no.[protected] we were assured that within 24 hours a resolution to our problem would be communicated to us.

                              17/3 @ 10:11 pm - we received an email promising resolution within 6 hrs otherwise a 100inr/ hr of delay would be accrued in the wallet upto a maximum of 1000 inr

                              17/3 @ 4:12 am - we received an email saying that the resolution is delayed with no compensation for the delay as promised.

                              Since then we have been trying to call the company with no luck. A few other things:

                              16/3: we received a text stating there is no cancellation fee for flights booked between bangalore - delhi with discount of 500 inr, this was not honored.

                              * the site also does not honor senior citizen discounts.

                              * by most airline rules there are no penalties for any cancellation within a 24 hr period, this is not backed by make my trip nor have they ensured this usual and customary policy with airlines for their customers.

                              The behaviour of the site is predatory in that they chase customers to make reservations, their algorithms increase ticket price exponentially within minutes once they gauge sector of interst and they do not back it up with customer service that is rational or helpful.

                              Desirable resolution:
                              We request a ticket at with the airline we selected for the desired sector that is bangalore to delhi on the same date as the faulty ticket.

Further, as checked the technical booking logs we would like to inform you that, the ticket has been generated for the same which user has opted at the time of booking. There is no tech error at our end. So, the refund of Inr 1324/- has been processed post deducting applicable cancellation charges. Also, our concern team has processed a refund of Inr 1000/- in user’s wallet account on 19-Mar-18.

                              We have taken cognizance of your comments and the spirit in which you have shared your feedback. It is unfortunate to note that your recent experience with us has not been up to your satisfaction.

                              Hi,

                              My booking Booking I.D NH[protected]. Ihave spend 4000 on particular hotel and didn't find that hotel is upto the mark. I have requested please refund my amount as i didn't checkin as hotel was not good as you people showed on website. but these people straightway said NO.

                                And second for car is separate ‎
                                I am ask that in your packages there is car detail and also ‎
                                Show all detail in packages so why i am pay extra ‎
                                She says this is not include in your packages ‎

                                This is cheating and fraud done by make my trip ‎
                                Representative and make my trip with me ‎

                                  I was trying to book a hotel, everything went good i paid the money through upi but my booking didn't get confirmed. I called mmt team and as per them they didn't get the money but i have the complete transaction details im which it is clearly visible that transaction was successful. I tried to explain to mmt customer team but they are not ready to listen. It is just a two minute work to check if amount has been received in mmt's account or not. Bank is saying transaction is successful and mmt team is saying we didn't get the money, looks liks my money has some extra capabilities of getting dissolved or invisible.

                                  Can anyone please look into the matter. Still i dont want any refund, i just want my hotel booking done.

                                    Booked round trip flight on 31st january (Pune - kolkata - pune) and used axis bank card for payment to avail a cashback of rs. 1299 using mmtwed code. I met all the terms and conditions to avail the cashback. The cashback was supposed to come within 21 days of booking. But it didn't come.

                                    I contacted makemytrip via email. They said i am eligible for cashback and the issue will be solved withing some days. Still i am waiting for the cashback.

                                      Ref indigo flight 6e-515/525 on 27th april 2017 booked via makemytrip. This was a trip to jaipur (Jai) from bangalore city (Blr). It was a one stop connecting flight with a halt at delhi. Due to unknown reasons, the flight landed in lucknow and not delhi. Flight was halted for almost two hours in lucknow. Then we were taken to delhi from lucknow. By then your flight connecting to jaipur from delhi had already departed. The ground staff at the delhi airport promised us to arrange our tickets in next flight but this did not happen until another four hours even though a couple of flights departed to jaipur. The reason they gave was that the flights had no vacancy. Finally after around four hours, they told that a replacement flight cannot be arranged and told us to leave and manage the travel on our own. They had told that some amount would be refunded since our travel was not fulfilled due to their problem.

                                      Infact the only reason for us travelling in the flight was to reach jaipur within 6 hours. It was an emergency meeting with a client which was missed as it took around 36 hours to reach jaipur. We had to face financial loss as the client left by the time we reached, apart from the metal trauma caused by the staff due to hara-kiri.

                                      No one even bothered to listen to our problem. Infact we needed to travel to jodhpur from jaipur for which we had already paid to a taxi service in advance. The taxi service also waited for us and left by the time we reached. We lost the advance paid for the taxi service also as they told that they waited for us but we were not available.
                                      Hence i request you to refund the amount as mentioned below.
                                      1) 31550/- tickets booked for blr to jai
                                      2) 5000/- bus travel from delhi to jaipur
                                      3) 5000/- advance paid to taxi service from jaipur to jodhpur
                                      Please take this as a serious case of negligency on your part and solve this matter at the earliest. Else i would be forced to file a complaint in consumer court.

                                      I was booking flight from surat to goa. i made the payment through ICICI net banking but my payment failed two times & the amont deducted Rs. 6066 two times i. e. Rs. 12132.
                                      so i have deduction email from Icici bank.
                                      it is requested to please refund my amount at the earliest.
                                      Made the payment but the is no confirmation and even when you make a call to the customer care they are asking for the confirmation ID. It’s like an end
