I, Dr.DEBASREE BISWAS, had booked two way ticket to London from Kolkata and return, on 20th February 2017, for AirIndia flight, PNR NO-YVY2D, (flight dates departure: 22nd June 2017, Flight dates return: 28th June 2017) from MakeMyTrip, ( Booking ID : NN[protected] for Debasree Biswas, Pranati Biswas and Gitashree Majumdar. I had cancelled the same tickets, due to visa refusal, on 9th June, well ahead of the flight departure date for us all three passengers. MakemyTrip showed the cancellation request (Reference Number - INR[protected] yet they did not refund the ticket amount. MakeMyTrip didnot send me any emails regarding this. I lodged complaint with MakeMyTrip on 21st June, (Reference ID[protected]Reference ID[protected] following which they sent me mail on 22nd June asking for the visa refusal document. I promptly submitted the document. Yet MakeMyTrip didnot give me the refund still. Three days later Makemytrip again contacted me to ask for my passport copy, stating that AirIndia requires it for verification. I contacted the AirIndia East zonal office(Commercial) in Kolkata, who assured me they donot require passport copy for refund, only visa refusal letter is needed. AirIndia also assured me they will refund back the whole ticket amount in visa refusal case. Even after my submission of all stated required documents, Makemytrip again contacted me and asked me to get my visa refusal letter stamped from the embassy, stating that AirIndia has asked for it. This was again denied by AirIndia, stating they only require the letter, they donot require any stamps. But Makemytrip have not yet made the refund to me, instead stated that AirIndia will take 45-90 days to process my request from current date. But AirIndia said they process all such request immediately.
Despite, I have waited for 90 days, as per MakeMyTrip request. After which i sent MakeMyTrip a reminder mail asking for my refund, on 09/10/2017 . But MakeMyTrip has not replied to my mail yet, neither has the refund been processed yet. It is now well over 100 days from the request.
MakeMyTrip is unjustfully and unlawfully, with-holding my refund amount. They are unnecessarily harassing me for my just demands.
Please look into the matter for quick dispensation.
