It has been observed that some credit card unauthorized transaction happened using my ICICI back credit card [protected] @ the web site tidebuy.com. I received the SMS over the phone and also to my registered email saying “Your ICICI Bank Credit Card XXXX1007 has been used for a transaction o[censored]SD 644.77 at tidebuy.com(February 19, 2018; 02:21:53 hrs.). Available credit balance on your card is Rs. 2, 33, 514.02 and total credit limit is Rs. 2, 76, 000.00.”.
Immediately after 30 minutes of receiving the email I Called customercare card service and blocked my card and they forwarded my call to the credit fraud section and raised the complaint with the SR NO. SR[protected]. Since its credit card transaction, early notification is to avoid the payment, and the executive from credit card department made this as unauthorized and said I don’t need to worry about this transaction, it will not be added to my bill and said transaction is blocked.
Since I am into software too I know how cyber hacks happening in the current world Irrespective of that too it happened to me. I never shared my crard number to any unauthorized sites other than major websites like Amazaon, flipkart, peppery, uber and OLA.
As per the protocol from the bank I have been told to register the complaint personally by providing the necessary documents. Hence I am submitting this complaint along with my credit card Xerox, ID proof and email copy which I received.
For safer side I sent a mail to third party websited (tidebuy.com) and mentioned about this credit card fraud.
I already submitted the relevant documents to ICICI Bank, JP Nagar Branch, Bangalore India. Here is the attached acknowledgement and other documents i am attaching.
I neither shared my card details to any one nor orally informed. It's bank responsibility to maintain the security of customers. How do they allow transaction without any password or OTP. This is a chip based card bank should never allow unauthorized transactions without validity of the card. They said international transaction doesnt require any authentication. Just by entering the card number or CVV how they allow to use their own customer card for huge money transaction. then where is the question of security to our card, we are using our card at different place like medical store, hotels etc. they might just garb the card number and cvv number and disclose it to unauthorizied people for money.
Without authenticating any thing they made this transaction.
I realized this fraudulent transaction immediate after 30mins of transaction so I have asked to customer support and fraud department to stop they payment. It's bank responsibility not to encourage these kind of transactions.
I am requesting the bank to please cancel the transaction and take necessary steps.
Please request you to take the necessary actions and made this unauthorized transaction not billed. Still biller never approached the bank for payment.
ICICI Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
